You jest but BHVR may take this to heart.

It's definitely unsportsmanlike, but the main issue is it's not really much of a strategy either. Letting survivors bleed out isn't really a gameplay tactic, like slugging for example, because it doesn't benefit the killer either. Doing that nets you far less points in both bloodpoints and emblems than sacrificing them on hooks, so in the end, you both lost.
In that situation, I would just pick one up, attempt to carry them to the nearest hook, and if they wiggle out just chase them, down them again and hook them properly. You have time to do that, since it's not like their teammate is going to be doing generators in the meantime. Then go back and do the same thing with their last teammate. You get a lot more points that way, and a more interesting end of the game for everyone involved.
"Letting survivors bleed out isn't a gameplay tactic"
I have to dissagree. As the OP said there were no hooks nearby therfore he highly risked having the survivor get off his shoulder and possible jepordise the rest of the match for him. Seeing as having bleed out was the best course of action to secure his kills he made the tactical choice.
You can say this choice may have been unfun or (arguably) "unsportsmanlike" but to say it held no tactical merit is simply wrong.
Also I can see you are of the mindset that "Points = win" but you need to remember that for some they determine a win by the number of kills they get or even if they "pip" or not. If I was in his situation I would probably go for the kills to because I enjoy preventing escape. While I do enjoy getting chases I will not risk losing a kill so I can gain a few more BP.

We expected outrage when doing a fundamental change to a perk used in such a large percentage of games. However, after playing with the new version, we're much happier with how it functions in the game as part of the whole system.
I'm hoping it is clear that a large part of this outrage is not just due to Ruin being nerfed but the fact that the image of BHVR being survivor bias and catering to New players was on full display with the recent "Developer notes" (or whatever its called) that was released.
I know I personally have not really touched DBD in quite some time and was on the fence about coming back. After having seen the aforementioned "Developer notes" I can say that if these changes do go live I will have concluded (in my mind) that BHVR has taken this game in a direction I cannot agree with and will not be returning. If these changes do not go through I will still be on the fence about returning because it has personally shown me that there is a huge misunderstanding or miscommunication with one whole side of this community that seems to be completely ignored.
While I harbor no ill feelings towards BHVR or its employees I would strongly urge you all to see that this recent "outrage" is NOT just due to a perk being changed but rather it was the final push that knocked over a tower of much larger concerns.

The topic starter is attempting to threat devs by uninstalling the game. You both hang around and in this discussion, because you are willing to return. You feel like only DBD satisfied you. All games that we stop caring about we uninstall and completely forget.
TBH, the topic is meaningless.
Uh "only DBD satisfies you"? I come back for the banter and community. I haven't played Overwatch in well over a year with no plans on ever returning yet I still watch the occasional match. I'm really not sure what direction you are linking the two.

While I would like to believe its a 50/50 split there are several factors at play.
1: Survivors make up a larger portion of the player base and (like it or not) decisions will be slightly skewed towards them intentionally or not as a company needs to make money to survive and thrive no matter how much they love their players.
2: Some issues may be an easier fix than others making it seem like BHVR is working on one side more than another.
3: Its difficult to not harbor feeling one way or another when many people complain for 1 side or the other and many may be subject to seeing/finding "evidence" to support the mindset they share.
I have to say from personal experience it seems many killer related problems take far longer to address (sounds are a great example) where I see survivor related problems getting fixed quickly (Tinker 2 no TR issue). Even though I want to stay neutral on the subject I have to say I have been pulled into the poll option I have chosen. I hope to be proven wrong moving forward but my mind has drifted to this position through observation.
At the end of the day BHVR can do as they please and I can decide if I wish to give them my time as a player or not.

3/4 items and I would consider bringing Frank.
3/4 toolboxes (if you are staying in that match) I would highly recommend bringing Frank.
Key/map team item combo I would highly recommend bringing Frank.
3/4 flashlights I don't think you need Frank as this means the team isn't going to be on gens and letting them think they can flashlight you will make your life easier.

Gimmie the reasons you either prefer solo or prefer SWF. Personally, I love to play solo because I feel like it makes the game more challenging and is really the only way to play the game with a certain amount of "fear" still being involved. I have done SWFs a few times, but the people I played with were very skilled and it just usually turns into a mess for the Killer because he can't keep up with our communicated action. Still, there must be a reason to do SWFs besides you just get to play with your friends or is that simply the basis of it??
Anyhow, not looking for an ugliness, just trying to hear from the Survivors out there.
When I play survivor I prefer to do so solo because I enjoy having to figure stuff out on my own. In the past (and very rare occasions) I have played with my friend and the two of us make the match a cake walk (both red ranks skill level although he doesn't play anymore and I have nearly stopped myself).
Basically SWF too easy and I don't find it enjoyable.
Solo I can still mess around but actually find some matches a challenge.

2nd game the killer got us all.
3rd game I was the last man standing, the killer got me and dropped me in the hatch to let me escape????
4th game I played the killer with the traps and got everyone.

Tell me
Due to maps still needing to be fixed, SWF no being addressed and the plethora of bugs that still plague the game I'm not sure you an say something is "overperforming". I mean unless the kill rate is something stupidly high there are just too many broken variables that can skew that information.

From this well made summary of the recent dev stream.
"They decided to update Doctor next because he’s the most annoying killer to play against."
He was not changed because he was weak and people struggled to play as him. No. He was changed because survivors found him "annoying" in the incredibly rare instance a killer decided they wanted to suffer playing as him. Probably why we have had so many Legion changes recently, to make them less "annoying" for survivors to go against. Meanwhile very weak killers like the Clown are not "annoying" will likely be left to languish for years to come.
"Fun to play AGAINST not AS"
remember that's the moto.

Man I hate the current audio bugs that plague killers right now, guess I'm just salty for wanting things to work properly.
The problem is not everyone is complaining simply for the sake of doing so. A complaint can be born from a true passion (this game for example) or simply because you want to blow off steam. you stifle people ability to complain and you take out the good along with the bad.

The other day I had a game where I escaped and all my tram died. It was against legion and it started with me wasting about a minute of the killer's time by getting seen then hiding.
That ######### was hilarious btw
Then I get a gen done and ruins gets cleansed...looks like everyone was looking for it. Awesome! Can't blame then tho, it was a swamp map. Anyway, later someone got basement hooked and someone else got down when trying to save. I got the save and this trade system continued. As long as one person is doing generators, the game isn't lost. But, once one person was out of the game, we can't win by having one person hooked, one person unhooking, and one person chased nearly the entire time.
I decided to let someone that was on first hook to stay there until second stage so I could complete the last generator. Second person got sacraficed after saving and the third got downed at the gate I opened. The post game chat was full of my teammates and the killer ######### talking me and saying I was useless, never unhooking, and selfish. I'd post the profile comment, too if half of it wouldn't end up getting censored.
Is it really a bad thing I made the decision for the team to get one of us out rather than unhook-rehook until 4K? I was on death hook and didn't see getting chased as very lucrative.
Unless you are cheating or breaking rules then play however the ######### you want. Other people will always love to tell you how they want you to play but you bought the game and so long as you don't exploit the system and play within the rules given you have nothing to be blamed for.
Now they can still get mad but if i decide not to save person A because i want to live its not my fault. I'm sure they too would want to escape.
If I decided to leave a gen to go save someone on a hook and we end up losing because that last gen never got done, that's not my fault, I can't predict the future.

Counter productive for Ruin, right? I had the do 6 great skill checks with the perk "This is Not Happening" (I wasn't injured when doing the challenge mostly), I tried to do healing great skill checks and it was awful, it was a pain for me, I either missed or failed all together, but for Ruin, the red color sat in my brain and was easy for me to see and make out.
I was playing with @GrootDude and @Cornpopers_Evan
As Groot said, the color red is easy and noticeable, you see it often so it's easy to register in your mind, rather than getting a white skill check on a white map like Lery's.
I agree that the colour really does affect my ability to see the "great" more clearly but I think its more the fact that you feel a pressure to hit that skillcheck.
If Ruin isn't up its so rare to see someone still try to hit a great because they have this huge safety net that is less risky. When you know Ruin is going to mess up your day if you don't hit the great, you become more focused and actually perform better than you would without that pressure. I can breeze through Ruin skillchecks but struggle if there is no ruin.

The title is 'ify' but I kind of mean it... In the sense of optimization and fun. Granted, I hate the new nurse because she feels extra gutted on console. So I avoid playing her now at all cost, cause i really just don't have fun with her like i used. However, i honestly would rather play new nurse with all the issues she has rather than huntress. Console Huntress is sooooooooo baddddd. Not because of lack sensitivity or whatever... She's perfect as a killer. Yet, the huntress has so many FPS drops that it kills her for me. It can be really frustrating and now she is not even fun to play because of her massive amount fps drops. Its odd because i have more fps drops with her than when I play the current doctor. The fps drops usually occur in most crucial times. An example being when winding up hatchets often drops a lot of frames which is kind of the goal is to mainly use hatchets. if she hits someone with it as well it drops like crazy... Like Omg i never heard my Xbox make a such screech. So.... Devs I hope you read this and write it down somewhere in the to do list of fixes.
Also, gaining bloodlust still turns the game into Google slides. I realize this isn't a major issue in the game, but i feel all problems should he addressed. My Huntress issues may just be my own experience, but im sure some other players can share a similar story.
Thoughts? Do you relate? Do you have concerns with this for other killers? Thoughts on current fps optimization between high and low performing pcs/ consoles
If you are talking about optimal console players then Nurse will outperform Huntress. I use to play Nurse exclusively on PS4 and got very deadly with blind accuracy. If I were to try now I would suck and would most likely perform much better with Huntress.
So Huntress is better if we are talking average players all around yet Nurse will be better if we are talking people who spent the time to become great. Nurse has more to offer if you actually now the nuisances that come with playing her.
A PC Nurse is far easier to use than a console Nurse.

Title. Between the 20+ minute queue times for low rank killers due to the SWF changes (OhTofu just did an awesome video on it, go check it out to see a more elegant explanation), the next to worthless tutorial that doesn't explain perks, bloodwebs, killer powers, or other major gameplay aspects, and the fact that a new player starts with literally nothing, and has to play a game blind with no perks and next to no explanations, I genuinely don't understand how this game gets any new players. I have personally had 3 friends that were super excited to try the game quit within a week, because the game is so tremendously unfun to a player that's new. I'm trying to get yet another friend into it, because I do genuinely think that it's a great game once you get a head of steam, but thanks to the new SWF changes I can't play with him on my main without him dying in literally 10 seconds to a rank 1 killer. So now I'm contributing to the problem by making a smurf account, solely so I can play with a new friend.
This game needs an offline area for survivors to test killers and perks. The game needs a comprehensive tutorial with killer powers, tile explanations, and examples of perks in action. The game needs a way for new players to rank up survivors other than a cycle of hide-die-repeat until they either understand the game thru beating their head against it or quit. Without new players, this game dies, and as of right now there really isn't a good reason to be a new player in DBD.
One of the major things people forget about the SWF changes (or any changes in general) is that we have new players on both sides. For far too long new players wanting to play as killer had the same issue you have now, with groups of friends playing together (some rank 1 or high rank) that wiped the floor with them. It wasn't fun for them either.
I don't think the new system is great and I'm not arguing that new players don't have a hell of a time with this game but remember new players are not just survivors.

Trapper isn't on the top 3 and can be described by many a really weak killer. I believe he is insanely strong tho.
He has the ability to block infinites, if disarmed he know the survivors locations, he has a stun, and he can punish survivors mistakes.
Add-ons also make him insanely strong. He can darken his traps, he can instadown if a survivor rescues himself and he can injure survivors if they decide to disarm his traps.
I believe that the Trapper is just....underated. I understand that he can't end chases quickly and he doesn't have insane map pressure, but I believe he is at least b tier in my book.
What do you think? Let me know down below.
Trapper can be good against low to average players but anyone with a glint of skill can pop 3 gens by the time you have set up a "trap zone". After you have trapped a spot its not difficult to avoid tall grass or be mindful of popular trap spots. I know I tend to either focus gens (if my team isn't) or I will hunt all the trap spot near loops as my team does gens.
Then you have SWF teams who can easily coordinate trap removal/inform the team of trap locations.
Trapper has potential even against really skilled players if you are able to be very unpredictable in your placement but more likely than not someone will see you set the trap up.

So you're saying there's no counter. If I am aware from the start that the killer is doing this, going to the opposite side of the map and doing gens he's not patrolling doesn't fix the situation at all. I'm always aware that the three gen could happen and actively do my best to avoid it. If a killer chooses to do this from the start and I'm not on comms with teammates, there's nothing I've been able to do.
The counter is to either:
-Not 3 gen yourself (difficult when you play solo with bad teammates)
-Have yourself and at least 1 other survivor tackle two different gens, as you can make more progress than is regressed (albeit slow)
If you are the only one trying to do gens in a 3 gen situation where your teammates are complete screwing the team you cannot 1v1 the killer. While frustrating its the teammates that are messing you up and not the killer (even if rift is a horribly executed idea).

Impossible Skill-check Doctor:
Perks - Distressing
Huntress Lullaby
Unnerving Presence
(Any gen slowdown or healing slowdown)
Add-ons - Purple Carter notes "calm"
Purple Carter notes "Order"
Offering - Any indoor map (Lery, Game, Hawkins)
The goal is to get to 5 stack as quickly as possible on Huntress lullaby, then focus on getting everyone to Madness 3. After you have achieved the above goals sit back and watch as nobody ever gets out of madness 3 and you can go cook a meal or find a date, get engaged, eventually marry and have a couple kids all while they struggle trying to leave Madness 3 to work on gens. Its beautiful!

They work best on the Mac Millan maps as it is already naturally dark. Due to the need to stack multiple (or use purple) I find they don't do much.
The thing is most people don't play stealthy so the mist is useless, as for me personally I cannot tell if the reason a killer missed me is due to my good hiding or the mist itself.

I do not agree with your logic. DBD is a game. People DC because they are not having fun (killers and survivors). If people are not having fun with their game, I think it is a problem for the Devs.
More game balancing and in game penalty for unfunny and unfair behaviors should be implemented. For example BBQ it's a wonderful anticamping perk. And it works. Most killer with that perk don't camp. I'm sure Devs can work out something good again for a more balanced and funny game.
"Fun" is such a subjective thing that it CANNOT be the basis upon which we decide if a DC is acceptable or not. If we do this then everyone who DCs will find a reason to justify it because no one likes to blame themselves as being the problem.
Edit: I enjoy going against stealth killers because it actually adds a little fear into the game and makes things a bit more challenging, so by player X deciding to DC it has now ruined MY fun for his/hers simply because they find it "annoying" and would rather blame the devs then play the match as intended.

I am currently rank 6, and plague is in my top 3 killers, I can easily get 3-4 sacrifices per match
When a dev said plague was the killer with the highest kills per match at high ranks I thought he was joking, now that I learned how to play as her I can guarantee she is indeed one of the strongest killers in the game
Since most survivors on high ranks won't cleanse you can detect easily when they work on gens, where they are when they try to stealth, and you can even tell where they are when slugged
She still needs some improvements regarding the hitboxes of her vomit but other then that she is really strong and I wish more people played with her
From my experience its her add-ons that make or break her. Its so easy to not cleanse at low/mid ranks and win vs Vommy Mommy and in high ranks I find cleansing much better. Its not difficult to break LOS when she has her power and often the chase ends up being long anyway. I have yet to face a Vommy Mommy at high ranks who can really keep good pressure without great add-ons.
