  • I'm not even surprised at all. Something goes wrong in every update/chapter. This DLC got BHVR'D as usual.

  • I think seeing legendary skins, in general, is pretty rare. I don't see many Lisa's or Cybil's anymore.

The only one I see most is Claire and even then, the amount is so abysmal.

  • @Squirrel_Thicc said:

No I'm not excited at all. No new map or survivor, console will probably still be broken, and they're adding mmr.

Just hoping after pinhead they take a break from licensed chapters and add a new ######### outdoor map for ######### sake.

    This.

The recent original chapters could've been so nice with a new map.

  • I really don't like paragraphs at all. If Kirsty Cotton would've been released with him, I'd consider buying.

The first two points you gave are what really turns me off from this "chapter".

  • @Marigoria said:

Most wraiths already used to camp and tunnel even before the buff. Not only he's boring to go against, most of their playstyle just makes it a zzzzz fest

    @Bumbus said:

All Freddy mains and Spirit mains switched to Wraith, that's what happened

    @ShinobuSK said:

Wraiths are always hard tunneling and bming on hook for no reason, as far as I remember. Nothing new

    For real.

If Wraith were to be described to someone, y'all perfectly did it.

  • I'd like to see one happen :)

  • He looks so much more intimidating there oof-

Also, thanks for the fun tip never knew!

  • Personally, I despise Wraith because I find the 99.9% of wraith matches so dull and repetitive. The add-ons are always the same and I'm still surprised he's still a stealth killer considering all the other ones either move the same or slower *cough *cough Amanda.

Most wraiths from my experience have a tendency to camp or tunnel even at the beginning of the game. That's why my SWF and I immediately start sweating the second we notice the killer is a Wraith. We're just so fed up with Wraith and his lackluster content that he can bring in a match. Heck, even plague matches tend to be more interesting.

  • Oh- well it looks like both sides are firing, but I see where you're going at. Suicide shouldn't be a laughing or joking matter at all even at an online video game where it's common to be toxic.

That individual should've said something else.

  • Head-on is one of my favorite perks, but honestly, it serves its functions best within a coordinated SWF since IMO, it's the best exhaustion perk in terms of being a supportive perk.

My SWF has mentioned that idea you brought up too, but here are the potential changes we came up with:

    • Survivors see the head-on user's aura for 5 seconds upon entering the locker
    • The Killer can not see any scratch marks from any survivor for 3-5 seconds upon getting stunned
    • The 3-second mandatory timer begins ticking the second the user touches the locker (to help with slow vaults)
    • The exhaustion timer is reduced from 60/50/40 to 50/40/30
    • If the user is injured, the stun duration is increased by 1 second (to reward risky plays)

It's definitely not a terrible perk since it helped us in countless and surprising ways, but there's of course room for improvement.

  • mmm, interesting. I haven't seen that type of suggestion for Stridor yet. Though, I'm not too sure how helpful it would be since most exhaustion perks would trigger in your face anyways like Sprint Burst and Dead Hard. I suppose it'll help a lot against head-on or adrenaline users.

This could also potentially help Mindbreaker's viability since it'll apply exhaustion thus, giving you some generator awareness.

  • Optimization has always been awful for this game. With the many empty promises, BHVR have said, optimization has been one that they claim they'll improve and tolerable for their player base, but it'll always end up in two ways:

    1) Barely noticeable changes OR no improvements at all

    2) The game breaks even more *cough *cough RE chapter *cough *cough

  • Oh, wait I just remembered that the new consoles get the data transferred... I would assume you'd still have the chapter since you already have it purchased. I'm not too sure, but you should get a direct answer from the support team to be safe or if a mod here knows the answer.

  • It would be gone. Once November 17 hits, the chapter and all cosmetics tied with the ST franchise are no longer purchasable. You have a somewhat okay deadline so I hope you can get your ps5 in time! Hope that helps!

  • I believe some leakers have found some files enticing some form of work towards the RPD. They found new separate files that could possibly lead to RPD receiving different variations of some kind. No other info was found.

If this is true though, I hope they don't butcher it and make it too watered down because RPD itself is iconic and as an RE fan, I still want to have the strong feeling that I'm in Racoon City, not some random building in an unknown site.

  • Two twins? They make it a 4v8 instead lol. If the twin's players know what they're doing... the stress the quadruplets can bring.

  • @QwQw said:

It'll appear as the original icon if you own Nancy. If you don't have her, it'll show up as the new icon.

If you own the characters, the perks will stay the same? Well, that's a relief, I read somewhere that the perks will be updated for everyone regardless if you own the ST characters or not.

I enjoy the current perk icons.

  • Hi! It should be the new icon, but I'm not 100% certain.

  • Wraith and Spirit. Even when healthy, the spirit is guaranteed to hit me right after a phase.

  • I was simply watching both sides while eating popcorn lol. I could care less whichever license it was going to be.

  • Oh- this is honestly something I might do too lol, but hey who knows? Unless you don't try, the answer will always be no. Goodluck!

  • I'm not too sure where this post is trying to lead to, but honestly just play the game how you want to play, but don't expect the other side to feel the same way.

Whenever I play killer, I play normally, but I don't go out of my way to make it miserable for the other side (facecamping, tunneling one person to death, using obnoxious builds). If you forgive survivor mistakes during chases, then you're only asking for a harder time because a survivor may think you're not good at the game which could lead to teabagging and such sorts.

You mentioned only 1 hook per person for a match? Uh- I don't know what to say, but it's kind of the point of the role as a killer to hook people. I understand that you're just trying to make your matches more enjoyable, but with how this game works, that's a task that will just make you more frustrated, but I wish you the best of luck.

  • Survivor - Same! Yun-Jin is currently my main (was Jane). I loved her backstory and having a survivor whose perk premise is to be "selfish" and be a lone-wolf brought a fresh breath of air for the roster of survivors. It was nice to have a survivor that wasn't considered innocent or friendly but was unfortunately taken by the entity because that cliche was getting too common. Her cosmetics are outstanding and her lobby animation is nice as well.

Killer - Twins! I LOVE the twins. They're so fun to play as and I've always wanted a killer that would cooperate with another such as Charlotte and Victor hunting as brother and sister. They also have a high skill ceiling and playing them feels so fresh since their concept is so unique. Their backstory was so interesting and I felt so bad for them since they were hated for simply existing :(

  • Adept Freddy.

Jk, but now killers have more options/variety for end-game builds. I've gone against some Trappers & Demo's with No Way Out + Remember Me and oof it was oppressive. Though it's very clear why players would choose NWO (mentioned in your reasons) over RM, I think the perks were meant to be together and be soulmates. Don't want people leaving the exit gates? Just make it 100x harder lol.

  • I think his perks relate to his concept more rather than his power... I don't know if that made sense, but since his whole theme is about powerful rage and blood, his perks (in this case) were tailored to better suit that concept.

For instance, blood echo punishes those who are injured because injured survivors leave blood & nemesis punishing those who try to fight back hence why they were designed that way.

I think the effects are fine too because an exhausted survivor means they can't get away as easily while demon fury is active and an oblivious survivor may not be able to catch you zooming at them with demon rush. As for the obsession switch, Kazan was constantly hunting down fake samurais if I'm not mistaken so by having the obsession switch, the Oni would have more specific "targets" to hunt for since he wanted to be the best samurai in the country... I think that's right? So if he were to be stunned by survivors, he may mistake those for opponents who want to challenge him.

  • True, I've never been a legion fan myself, but I've always wondered why their whole gimmick wasn't part of the power. It was probably due to issues upon their release, but with the addition of twins and nemesis' zombies, I think BHVR can now implement some form of "group" power for legion or some sort.

I just hope that if a change like that ever appears, it won't override the speciality and uniqueness of twins.

  • Just Overwatch tbh, I've always wanted to play other games preferably online, but after seeing player complaints and reviews, the thought of trying it just left.

If anyone has game recommendations, plz let me know thx!

  • I think they should just get rid of it entirely. No sane person at red ranks would bring it for aura reading purposes. Well in my case, I've never seen anyone bring in a green key.

Keys should be reworked to serve more functions and move the aura reading functionality to maps because I think they're quite outclassed by all the other items.

I started playing ff14 again. I only play dbd now if friends want to swf.

That's reasonable. Friends do make this game more enjoyable.

I am not having any fun at all playing this game right now as a solo survivor. Rank reset + all the new players from RE has made solo queue an absolute nightmare. I get teammates who literally cannot even hit skill checks. Games where all three teammates refuse to do gens. One game, I got the last gen done to 90% and then the killer chased me off. I just had a feeling my teammates weren't doing anything, and I went to check both doors, and my three teammates were standing at the gate, just waiting for me to finish the gen for them. I had another game on Lerys where two teammates crouched together on the upper level of the theater, while i did an entire gen by myself (I was running Bond). Today, I played one game and was Tomb stoned out of the game with 4 gens left. He hadn't touched anyone the entire game. It's so nice to see killers playing like such ######### like that during the bloodhunt. So yeah, I'm not having fun with DBD. I think a lot of veteran players are leaving in droves. I personally know six people who stopped playing months ago.

Those are quite miserable matches you had going on *gives hug* , but yeah I understand your frustration.

  • I have it and It's a shame that it no longer receives support because I was looking forward for better changes and more plant characters. It's pretty fun, but it gets pretty stale after several matches. It did give some good QOL changes from GW2, but I think the GW's shined a better light onto the multiplayer shooter genre for the PvZ franchise.

Also I lost all my progress from PvZ 2 and even though I contacted support and gave me most of my plants, they have not given back all of the ones that required intense grinding. So I'm still salty about that and leaves me a bad taste from EA games, bc yk... its EA

I know what you mean, this game does burn me out a lot so I try to take a little break and then comeback.

As for the anniversary yeah I wish they would’ve given us more than the crowns and cakes in matches, but it was generous of them to give us all those BP’s and shards.

Hopefully they’re looking back on this and try to start introducing new things for future events.

Yeah I was having such a hard time finding cakes on my bloodwebs and not many people would contribute their cakes during matches :(

I am happy with the state of the game currently and only feel I’m not having fun when I go against high red rank Killers using A or S tier Killers. Being a solo queue player, when I run into these Killers, I will often be the last one standing with only 1 or 2 Gens completed. The Killer is just going BBQ crazy and the game turns into an unhooking simulator. Other than that, I mostly have great matches.

I recently took a break from DBD for about 5 days after playing over 100 hours during the event. I was seriously burned out after the event but now I feel fresh as ever and have already made 1M BP during this double BP event. It’s important to take breaks from this game here and there, especially once you’re well beyond the 1k hour mark. I myself am nearing 2k hours.

Oh wow, at least you're getting some good value out of the double BP hunt!

The anniversary event was a bit lackluster to say the least. The crown and gnome chompski events were a big letdown for me. This current Rift has one single outfit that I'm working towards but the rest of it feels beyond lackluster... I was really pleased with the map reworks and the graphics update until I got home today and played with the new character models. This is my personal opinion and I know it's not a universal truth but I think that what they did to Kate was a travesty and I'm pretty bummed that my P3 character who has every upgraded perk, endless items, specialty items from 3 years of anniversaries, and who I have spent a lot of money on cosmetics now looks so bad.

I'm actually going to change my main because I cannot stand how badly they butchered Kate's face. And the sheer amount of time and BP it will take to get someone to her level plus the money to buy a variety of outfits is just... I do feel pretty low right now.

Yeah, I don't play Kate much, but her new facial rework... ooh-

I hope your grind on your next main goes well! *gives hug*

Getting burned out is a natural part of gaming and yes, it is a bit disappointing that they really didn't do much for the anniversary. I was really hoping that they'd go all out like they promised and wow us, but unfortunately, we got the bare minimum. I don't know what they're so scared to switch things up a bit and introduce new, temporary mechanics for events, such as teleporting lockers, or oil slicked floors that'll cause you to slip and slide, but I guess they're just unable to do much other than work on new chapters.

At least this game allows you to pick it up and go and when you come back, you can just resume playing again. This way, you can go play something like Civilization, take a breather, and come back refreshed.

Yeah, I don't understand why they're so hesitant on temporary mechanics. I really miss those events back in 2017/2018 when it added a twist or effect on trials. But true, I've been focusing on other things until I get some fuel to play the game "normally" again.

  • I love RE and seeing it be a part of DBD blew me away, but the patch itself? Honey boo boo everyone was suffering. SMH

The 5th anniversary event didn't feel like an event at all. Copy + paste from last year's with very little innovation. I don't understand how events from 2017-2018 are far superior compared to events that we get now. They're evolving, but backwards.

  • I personally don't like the many breakable walls (for both sides).

I'd be running and oop- dead-end or let me just take this shortcut and oop- another dead-end.

  • Is it dark/tiny for you too or is it just me? I play on xbox and lately, the scratch marks have been pretty janky than normal. For me at least.

  • To be fair... are we surprised? No.

I had slight hope for this patch and my game is running nearly the same after it. Very choppy and terrible fps. The only change I did notice was a drop for those awful & notorious lag-spikes that could last 2-4 seconds that used to happen every match, but now occur every few matches.

    Edit: typo

  • I love playing as and against them. They encourage teamwork and as others have said, staying in groups or in pairs is VERY effective. Whenever I play with friends, we have a blast whenever the twins are the killer(s). It's so fun being chased by Victor and having to work around both Charlotte and Victor is a fun challenge.

I honestly don't understand how some people would rather go against spirits then killers that have legit counters.

  • I would like to play on Thompson house more but it's always rotten fields. I don't like RF at all.

  • Cheryl: Karen

    Jane: Miss thiccums

    Deathslinger: Gunny boi

    Leatherface: Boob

    Micheal/PH: Daddy

  • Uh- As many "Nerf SWF" posts I see, I'm just going to say what I've been saying:

You can't nerf or do any changes to SWF without looking at WHY swf seems so dominant. In a game like this where communication is key, of course SWF will be strong, but people keep forgetting solo q exists AND it can happen with a swf. A 2 or 3 man swf will only need a bad random for their "dominant" team to break. I've experienced this for both survivor and killer.

The killer should prioritize on causing pressure ASAP and finding the weak link and/or people out of position and then the pressure can start rolling. Taking some steps back, many people including myself prefer to play swf because solo q is a MISERABLE experience. Before we propose any changes to swf, how about we balance the solo q experience and make it more on par with swf. We don't necessarily need to nerf swf because thats somewhat "punishing" ppl for playing with friends, but killers can now be more balanced around the new status of solo + swf.

  • Solo Q has always been awful and I can feel your pain.

In a game like this, teamwork is crucial because you don't want teammate running willy nilly, blowing gens up, and not knowing their surroundings. That's why SWF is the preferred mode for survivors. It's not mandatory, but after playing solo q a lot, SWF will almost feel mandatory.

This however causes some killers to think every group is a sweaty SWF that wants to bully although there are many groups who just want to have some fun with friends. That's why I also play SWF so much, because randoms I get just... ugh-

  • Seeing the results when I play as fair as I can when playing Twins 😢

On a side note: I don't like using Victor to camp a hook, they're quite powerful when they hunt together.

  • Well besides the base game design, I suppose that is a reasonable thought. They also have to wait at the campfire (depicted in the menu & lore) while not in a trial so that's more proof of interaction amongst one another.

  • Honestly same, but for both sides.

Just playing the game itself feels like a chore and I can hardly see myself in a relatively "chill" game. I've been running into many sweaty killers/survivors and it seems like I have to sweat almost every game considering optimization is far from great ATM (for console that is).

Also, the 5th anniversary "event" is so plain and since it was a copy & paste from last year's, it built no hype for me at all. My interest for the game has been fading away and it's funny because I just recently (few days ago) noticed that I reached 4k hours on the game. This small milestone is just encouraging me to take a long break from the game.

  • Lisa and Yun-Jin each have 103 cakes

  • @Shaped said:

The closer we are to 27th the more I dread that nothing will be fixed.

Yea know, same haha. Its BHVR we're talking about and it's so comically sad how it took them this long to publicly state that a "fix" will be coming.

I'm not even having my hopes up at all.

  • Pyramid Head

I've always wanted to play him more, but I just can never use his POTD :(

  • I play as fair as I can.

It just sucks when I play really fair; hooking everyone asap, not using victor to camp, not mass slugging after 1 down, etc. and I get hate mail for it. Since twins are pretty unique, my matches for them are quite different every match. I like to use them to defend different gens and/or to lockdown a small building such as the coal tower.

  • I currently have every survivor P3'd Lvl 50, but goodness the grind... I personally did it one by one so lets say I wanted to do Elodie, I'd focus only on her and not spend a single point on anyone else until she was maxed out.

However I switch up my mains every now and then which did help me level up characters I suppose as currently, Yun-Jin is my main.
