Was it 16 seconds? Or 20?
Isn't the base time 8 seconds, but increases by 2-4 for every "Wake Up" interaction...

If you run Windows of Opportunity + Open Handed, being chased will be so easy.

Ok. No one cares.
What you're describing isn't a relevant to my point, instadowns or anything, no difference. You can do w/e you want, bodyblock and DS to your heart's content, scot free as long as you don't ######### about getting tunneled or w/e afterwards. If you aren't complaining or expectant of killers to play the way you want, then my post has no relevance to you and we're all good here.
Although, it's worth considering that the game isn't balanced for SWF/coordinated communications, it's balanced around solo queue. So your "killers always ride the I'll play how I want train, and survivors will too" point doesn't quite have equal merit. But that's not on you, that's on the devs for refusing to balance the game around SWF's.
Killers do apparently care because it's always the same moaning and groaning about BT being used to take protection hits.
But yes thank you, I usually take BT protection hits + stab killers and I don't need to complain about being tunneled afterward because if they decide to continue going after me, I accomplished my job. Not only did I just waste more of their time, but I just gave it to my team to do gens and possibly give someone who was dead-on-hook to recover back to the game. I personally don't mind being back on the hook as my role on my SWF is to waste as much time as possible from the killer. As long as my efforts contribute, then being killed is trivial to me. Actually, I find it cute when I get tunneled. (To answer your first paragraph, yeah we're good)

It literally is tunneling. By all means, go ahead. I see no problem with it, but I do not get the obsession with this community of pretending they aren't doing the things they are doing. People are strange.
Literally.

@enormous_bruh_moment said:
If survivors try to use their BT to bodyblock, they can go right back on the hook.
The purpose of BT is to avoid getting tunneled, part of the risk your rescuer takes is that they're meant to present a more tempting chase target than your injured ass; but if your rescuer made the mistake of saving you directly in front of me, and you squander your BT to try and compensate for that, then no. You're fair game again.
That said, all of these are arbitrary self imposed restrictions, to be discarded entirely should the gloves need come off. Survivor's should recognize that killers are under no obligation to handicap themselves and deliberately choose less efficient strategies.
They expect these self imposed handicaps in service of what end? Mercy? The same mercy the survivors showed the killer? The DH, BT, DS, Unbreakable, Iron Will, Prove Thyself, Boon totems, fat medkits and toolboxes, that kind of "mercy"? Hypocrites.
Just ignore ppl malding over how you played. If they aren't a fan of how I killed them they can cry me a river.
It depends on the situation...
If the killer can insta-down via either power or exposed status effect proccing, then I'll be a GOOD TEAMMATE and try to protect my rescuer by the BT they gave me. It's called teamwork boo. I'm not going to let you get an easy down because you decided to stay in front of me.
DS is always on my build so if you want to pick me up, go for it. Not to mention, I like to play with friends so teamwork is what will help us through.
Killers are always riding on the "I'll play however I like" train so we survivors will use our own strategies too.

Blood bond always sounded stupid to me. Her whole power is just Victor anyway
Favourite would be deathslinger. The redeemer is just a cool name
Well, I'd argue that Victor isn't the main power. Their power is well... their existence. Having two killers who can harm and down survivors present in one trial is a unique and potentially lethal power.
That's my philosophy with the Twins and why they're my favorite killer(s). I've always looked at them from a different angle compared to most of the community. I see them as two individuals who work together to hunt thanks to their Blood Bond.

@Laluzi said:
I don't see why not. Repressed Alliance is a pretty limited use perk. It counters Pop Goes The Weasel, and... prevents a killer from kicking a gen when you leave it. Which doesn't happen often, and in most cases, the killer will chase after you instead of stopping to kick the gen first, so unless you go down quickly, the killer can kick the gen once they're done with you even if you Repressed Alliance'd it. Other uses are generally not great - you can block Ruin for a bit if you're being chased off a gen, but you also prevent any other survivors from picking up where you left off, making it likely Ruin will continue once RA ends. It has its uses, but certainly not enough to merit being run in most builds, and it's definitely a SWF tool, not a solo one. Being able to temporarily counter gen-blocking perks would expand the umbrella a bit. I don't think it would even work against Corrupt Intervention because you need to do gen work before you can activate it; you'd be on the tail end of Corrupt if you got in enough work to turn off a blocked gen.
I don't know. Nearly every time a survivor has used Repressed Alliance in front of me, I have not cared at all. It feels like a perk that could use more utility than just being a PGTW counter.
I agree. The perk is underwhelming and I noticed that most killers don't seem bothered by it. I'd like the perk to see more light.
@GreyBigfoot said:
I don't see a problem with giving it a new feature. My philosophy is to make other stuff stronger, instead of nerfing perks that are strong right now.
Would removing entity blockers be a freebie action or would that have to be charged up like blocking a gen is?
Same! If underperforming perks can get stronger, then variety will be a lot more fruitful.
Removing the entity from a gen should only work once the perk is activated so the perk can encourage players to complete a requirement. I think it'll help balance it out a bit.
-
@Blueberry said:
That actually sounds like an awesome idea. Great thinking.
Given the Corrupt/Deadlock meta this could see a lot of use.
Thank you!
-
@BlackRabies said:
Unnecessary, it'll never get charged to remove a CI and any other entity are both extremely rare and don't even last that long. Interesting idea, but I don't see it ever being used like that.
It can though especially with the devs including more gen-blocking perks such as Deadlock and the new one, Grim Embrace.
I don't think it'll hurt adding something to a perk to make its usability more accessible. It won't be interfering with its core mechanics but just adding more to its plate.
-
A survivor whose perks give them an advantage due to their murderous/criminal background?
Could be interesting.
-
Yun-Jin Lee.
Her lore and attitude make her so unique, thus making her stand out amongst the roster for me.
-
It's debatable, but Head On!
In a SWF, its potential is high and can sometimes lead to very interesting moments in the match or plays that would not have happened otherwise.
I've had moments where I was able to help my teammates mid-chase in a bad location thanks to me telling them "I'm in the locker in the loop! run through!" and they were able to flee from the chase or run to a better tile.
I also just love making some killers paranoid as heck haha. My teammates would run through lockers making Head On plays very obvious and the killer would try to avoid the locker even though I'm not even inside.

And no Cross Progression, nor is it likely to ever come. So in going to PC there's not only that actual purchase, but to buy the game again, buy the DLC's again, and then any wanted cosmetics as well. And the best part: relevel every character from scratch.
Who with thousands of hours into this game and whatever monies spent would start all over again? You know the grind.
You got a point.

I too am a charlotte gamer.
(I love going for stealth plays.)
obviously, I use victor, but my downs are probably 60/40 between them. maybe even more charlotte sided.
Same! My down-ratio leans toward Charlotte more than Victor.
There's just something when playing her and hearing that chaotic violin in the back of their chase theme is just... *muaw

totally agree.
Maybe an even bigger speed boost. how would 5% sound? I mean, she always feels sluggish after switching back form victor and while going to pick up a Victor down, and I mean, Victor must be pretty heavy.
Yeah, 5% would be fine.
Anything to help Charlotte would be appreciated so much. Poor baby :(
-
Tinkerer is one of the few perks that genuinely scares me when I play as Survivor and it's unexpected. It reminds me that this is a horror game.
-
I've always thought that balancing the twins to an equal level of power would be the best fitting. Victor is very oppressive in a chase if he doesn't get kicked, but Charlotte is just... a killer with no power.
I've had ideas a while back:
While Victor is NOT on Charlotte,
- She receives a 1% haste effect
- Her terror radius is dropped to 24m (from 32m)
This may help Charlotte be more aggressive without fully relying on her brother. In some cases, it's smarter to use her instead of Victor, but she gets looped incredibly easily.
As for Victor:
- Survivors can no longer run while ATTEMPTING to remove him
- Increases the time to remove Victor from 8 to 10 seconds
- Increases the time it takes to re-grow on Charlotte from 6 to 12 seconds (nerf)
These may help encourage players to use Victor to stall on survivors (in conjunction with the buffs I suggested for Charlotte) instead of relying on slugging too often while giving survivors more breathing room between Victor plays.
-
Twins in either scenario:
1) Pouncing as Victor then surprise attacking as Charlotte shortly after
2) Getting the initial hit as Charlotte then switching into idle Victor to secure the down
-
Bye Bye!
At least we can continue playing Demo :p
-
What's the possibility of a F13 chapter coming though? I haven't been in touch with the latest news regarding the F13 franchise and their issue.

@dspaceman20 said:
I could agree if ds worked after every hook state regardless of if you successfully used it or not and the timer doesn't go down when your in chases.
It's only a fair compensation
This.
If DS is an "anti-tunnel" perk, then why does the timer still tick during a chase? Also if you've already used it, the killer is incentivized in tunneling that survivor since the killer knows that the DS was already used. With all of the new changes + these new suggestions, DS should feel oppressive when actually being tunneled.
-
I actually like this idea. The guaranteed save is definitely strong without a doubt, but since it kills the flashlight, I think it's a fair trade. Quite interesting for an Ultra-Rare.
The user still has to get the blind in, just without the need of worrying about timing so killers can still counter this by the same counters with a regular flashlight (walls + light born).

Getting good playing the weaker killers actually improves your overall gameplay especially when you swtich to top shelf killers as you dont have to try as hard still take dedication
You got a good point though. The effort you made playing the lower tier can help transfer over to the upper tier. As long as the player knows how to play the particular power.

I like few killers; Plague, Demo, Pig, Myers are some my faves. PH too, but he's pretty strong. That said, I have to admit I use Spirit more than any of the others.
But I don't feel guilty about that because I am at a disadvantage compared to most Spirit players, since I can only hear out of one of my ears (headphones don't really work for me the same as others), and directional sound is key for oppressive spirit play.
I like playing as Legion, but wins are harder to come by with them. Legion needs help.
They really do! Once the team splits up, it's almost game over unless you camp hard ;p

I can't remember correctly, but I think this is the build:
BBQ (Bloodpoints, you can use whatever you want if you don't like BBQ), No Way Out (no map pressure so if the 5th gen pops you'll have plenty of time to secure a kill or more hooks, plus NWO is good on every killer), Surge (slowdown that compliments his ability to down survivors well and his M1 power), and Lethal Pursuer (enhances his early game potential).
For add-ons:
I usually just play with his base-kit, but some of his add-ons are quite powerful.
His hindered add-on, as you mentioned, the Flask of Bleach, makes survivors a lot slower while in the gas.
Cigar Box shows the auras of survivors while you have the effects of the antidote.
The yellow Cork add-on makes his reloading faster, but I prefer Smelly Inner Soles, which enhances his reload movement speed in conjunction with his new reload speed from the rework which makes the add-on WAY better than it used to be (as VHS Porn, since it has the same effects as the old VHS Porn). Nothing's stopping you from using both either!
Thank you! I should probably experiment with his add-ons more, but I appreciate it!

Are Twins really considered underwhelming?
Well in most cases, they'll likely lose if they decide to play like the rest of the roster (getting as many hooks) and they're easily countered if the team knows what teamwork is alongside the more recent perks such as CoH or any good healing perk.

@glitchboi said:

If you need any tips:
- Don't be afraid to try using the antidote in loops.
- If you have one antidote left, you can drop one and then reload to get that juicy speed boost out of that 1 bottle.
- Antidotes are WAY better at closing in distances than people give credit for. Don't be afraid to do that either!
- You can spread gas with the tonics by throwing them high at walls. Really helpful for smaller loops, but can still be very helpful in other loops.
Once you learn him, Clown is a really fun killer to play as!
Oh, nice! Thank you!
Do you recommend any perks or new builds you found on him? Most builds I see revolve around PGTW, Enduring + SF, or his hindered add-ons.

I really enjoy Clown. He's all about strategy, and believe it or not, I love using my brain in DBD.
Billy is also a killer I really enjoy. Like Clown, he requires strategy and mindgames, but you have to be more precise than Clown (although Clown still has a really high skill cap). Flicks tend to be difficult to pull off, especially without those engravings (still glad the engravings got buffed!).
You got a point and I should probably play Clown more bc I've seen some good clown plays, but was never been able to actually execute them.

I have all killers so I'll usually play one on a whim, which means I'm running a set of brown add ons and I'm very often out of practice with whatever killer I'm using. It's just nice and chill most of the time.
I have a solid handle on M1 mindgames so if I can't get their main power to work I'm still a significant threat, but I'm nowhere near as strong as say a Huntress that can cross map snipe you or a Blight that can consistently land hits on you etc.
Same! I like to play a variety of characters so sticking to a singular killer for X amount of games is tough. My performance would be rough since I'm always jumping from one to another haha. I really wish a training zone or bot matches would be available so I could get a warm-up while avoiding potential toxic survivors who want to talk trash afterward

I don't really know what you mean by underwhelming. Some of the killers i like to play are Shape, Trickster, Pig. These killers are typically low on people's tier lists but i wouldn't call them underwhelming (except maybe pig) because shape can overwhelm an entire team with tier 3 and trickster is overwhelming in a chase and with main event. Maybe that answers your question though.
I'm referring to those who, as you just mentioned, are usually on the lower scale. I can see where you're coming from though. Most killers can have devastating impacts on a match, but there are those who just fail to do it consistently.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QAZFPTA71IAH/image.png
Looking at this picture shared above though its entirely possible the names could be either way around, as BHVR could have tried similar to translate Feng (first name) and Min (last name) but got the characters the wrong way around, or vice versa.
Its definitely not as clear as Yui's; I would love an official comment on this from the team <3

Min is her given name, while Feng is her family name (or surname). In most Asian cultures, family names go before their given name. As far as I know, China is the only one that doesn't switch it around when leaving their country (see Yui Kimura for example, the Cursed Legacy trailer uses it the proper Japanese way, but it got switched over for us).
The wiki probably changed it (erroneously, mind you) to be more consistent with the other characters, but Feng Min is the proper way to write it.
Ah- I see, so Feng Min would be the correct form?

Scourge hook perks are definitely interesting and a new breath of air for the perk roster. I like them.
Monstrous Shrine needs to get reworked soon. No one would run it aside from a basement bubba although I think perhaps the perk should maybe affect hooks nearby the basement? The perk is supposed to empower the basement's purpose, but only limiting it to those 4 hooks that you may not always use feels very restrictive.
I had this idea a while back:
"Survivors hooked in the basement or hooks 20/22/24 from the basement bleed 5% faster on the hook and suffer from the broken and exhausted status effect for 10 seconds after being unhooked"
It would make the basement still threatening, but open more opportunities for the perk to activate. Probably not the best idea, but it's an idea nonetheless.
