  • Using Head on. I don't use it to meme or anything, but its sure damn funny to use it in a chase while I have LOS or when a survivor is being tunneled by the killer so I try to help them.

  • Hillbilly and PH. Whenever I rev that chainsaw... oh dear. As for PH, using rites of judgment and punishment of the damed feels very clunky for me. I'm not a fan of his playstyle or the "hazard/environmental" type of killers either :(

  • I agree! This chapter is one of my fav. chapters so far! (bugs aside obv.). I'm still at awe at Elodie's design. She's gorgeous and the representation was appreciated.

  • Favorite:

    1.Silent Hill

2.A Binding of Kin (based on the content & not the overall debut of the chapter)

    3.Chains of Hate

    4.Stranger Things

    Least Favorite:

    Shattered bloodline and Descend Beyond

  • Idk, the game would gradually feel bland if there's no new survivors for a while. Though you are right and that survivors are practically skins each other, some players such as myself love the lore that is brought into the game whenever a new character comes so this suggestion is rough around it's edges.

  • I never liked Pharmacy ever since it came to be, but I do agree, his perks are WAY too situational to ever be considered good. His only "decent" perk is Vigil, but even then it's not in par with other perks. If only Vigil affected more status effects like exposed, oblivious, and broken then I can Vigil being a good decent perk.

  • Woah this was really fleshed out. Good job

  • Survivor: Head on and DS. I use head on to help my teammates when they're in a chase or being tunneled and I usually find myself in tight situations or cornered In a room so having an alternate escape route is nice. DS only for the sole reason that I get tunneled way too often. I'm no where near to be considered toxic, but I guess killers want me out of the game early as possible.

    Killer: BB&C. Extra bp :)

Would it be difficult to remove all terror radius. me and a couple of friends want to play a jump scare game. But we don't all own the stealth killers.

Just like an option you can click on.

Yeah more options would be appreciated

  • I'd like a city map :)

  • Well good thing I bring soul guard a lot...

And about halloween skins for auric cells. Didn't we all get 1000 auric cells for free when get into ingame store recently? Or is it only me?

I never received any and so did some people. I believe that is a bug that a lot of people had.

  • Yeah this event is somewhat disappointing and I wish we could earn a bit more BP because the petals barely give some, but I am cutting some slack to the devs because they just reworked an entire realm and I've been getting tired of the original blue hue MacMillan had. Hopefully the devs could possibly give us some extra incentives later on during the event, but only time will tell.

  • I felt this haha. When I play solo, most of my team mates can't play the game to save their life and I get annoyed to the point where I'll stop playing survivor until my friends get on so we can do SWF instead. I also do agree on the killer part because most killers I play against camp on first hook and its hard to let go of BT, but it almost feels like a necessity nowadays.

  • I don't know about this. With the game now it is, having an energy system will definitely cause a spike of rage from survivors... personally I think getting survivors are fine just challenging sometimes but still doable.

  • DS. I already know everyone is going to hate me for saying this, but almost all games I play, tunneling is the most common playstyle I go against. If I were to play 10 games, 8 of them are matches where I got to use DS. Before anyone asks, I don't even use DS just so I can run into the killer's face on purpose and be toxic as possible. I just keep running into killers who tunnel me as if theres no tomorrow.

This is very ironic given that its the exact OPPOSITE issue people have with spirit.

She has so much counter-play but none of it is interesting so she ends up not doing anything since survivors dictate her power too much so she can't realistically do much in game.

Also he cant' be overly threatening even when survivors do allow her to do anything due to it being neutered by the survivors who'd only cleanse in areas where she can't ever truly make good use her power in.

Despite you saying she has very little counter-play your argument is ultimately she has too much counter-play to be interesting to play against.

Well tbh, her only counter play are loops assuming all 4 survivors are smart enough to not cleanse. Regardless, my point still stands. She's a boring killer to play against.

  • In my opinion, I just find the Plague a boring killer to play against. Its literally a broken/injured simulator against her. Most people don't cleanse (for obv. reasons) and I rather play against Legion because at least they have a decent amount of counter-play instead of just coughing and vomiting every second. Though I wouldn't consider her an OP or broken character, I'd rather classify her as a boring one that's all. I really do like her backstory and lore though which is a shame because matches with her are just so boring, but that's my opinion though.

tunneling is the best thing PH could do. Now he is useless

PH has a lot of potential, but awful players just had to tunnel bc they obv. can't play the game... just saying

  • @woundcowboy said:

Pyramid used to have decent counters to the stale DS and BT meta. Now his power is essentially a worse version of Pig because survivors get more information than the killer, and could even have the cage pop up next to them. So my question is, what is the point? You save maybe 5 seconds by not hooking and that's about it. PH now pretty much has nothing except an overly difficult antiloop power.

RIP PH, you were fun while it lasted. I guess I have to go back to Nurse full time lol.

you act like cages won't work now... since you complained over a change to fix the tunneling and camping pyramid heads, I bet you do the same

  • Oh wow I actually like the rework. It's similar to Bamboozle, but this triggers when the survivor vaults instead of the killer. I'd actually take this over bamboozle actually hehe, but yeah cruel limits as of right now is too situational for it to be viable in a serious build. Perks like these where it requires gens to pop or very eh since gens pop randomly making perks like poised or cruel limits very awkward to use so this rework is definitely needed! I don't have an issue at all with this rework idea at all and it would actually make chases a lot more interesting! Great job!

  • TBH i feel ya, but in a game like this... Staying positive is really hard. Whenever I play survivor, I always run into the dumbest teammates, tunneling/facecamping killers, etc. But I try to not let it get to the best of me, but when it stays consistent, then playing DBD feels like torture. Whenever I'm killer, the survivors I get are the avengers and I'm just like... WHYYYY and fps drops hit hard whenever I play and I feel extremely discouraged. Not only that, but this community is no where near healthy and is one of the most toxic communities out there. I usually take 2-5 minute breaks after each match and drink a lot of water. If friends are around, I usually play with them so I have someone to talk to. Also my friends aren't the tryhard toxic blendette/neas so we just play casually while trying our best to escape. I just wish this game was more "healthy" for the players. Don't worry I understand how you feel, and its ok if you feel burned out. This game has a bad rewarding system anyways so it doesn't matter how much you play. Whenever I play killer, I try to play fair as possible by not camping/tunneling. I also only use yellow and brown add-ons and never use NOED. Whenever I play survivor, I always get tryhard killers with purple or red addons and using mori's. The game is starting to be less fun IMO, but I try to stay positive even with all the flaws in the game. I used to play this game 4-8 hours a day, but now I've been playing strictly for 2 hours now since the game is just rinse and repeat.

  • I actually liked Darkeness Among Us. Though Legion was broken back the, at least they're in a better spot now. I don't them annoying at all, in fact I find Freddy the most annoying killer. I'd say Flesh of Mud with the hag and ace has to be the worst one. Ace's perks are no where near decent except for ace in the hole and the map is one of my least favorites bc I always get fps drops whenever I play there.

  • Its just a cosmetic... why are people so angry about. So what its $15?! If you don't want to buy it, then don't. Who's forcing you? Exactly... NO ONE. It's a licensed character who was turned into a skin so they gotta make money somehow. (this is for the people who are mad/disappointed)

Unity would prove too powerful in the hands of a SWF team.

Not For Granted has the same issue and creates some OP combinations with other Perks .eg. Deliverance, DS, BT, etc. May even make BT obsolete.

Scavenger is interesting, potentially doubling the items you can find in a match and goes nicely with the Chest-oriented Perks,

I understand, but the idea of the perk was to "counter" campers or get out of the situations where you're playing with teamates with no BT

You can't read, can you? What I propose is different from thanatophobia. Killer can't put any pressure on survivor until the first hook and survivor can easily do 2gen if the first one being chases isn't a potato. What I proposed slow down the game until the first hook then everything goes back to normal.

Thanataphobia does way better than your idea, at least thanataphobia slows down everything even when the survivor is still hooked... and yes I can read. If ya want your idea to be better, then don't make it bland, make some number values

  • @BananaBlooD95 said:

In my opinion all actions made by survivor should be slowed down until the killer down someone then everything goes back to normal. That way killers don't get punish for bad RNG or chasing a good survivor that make him run for 1-2+ gens. This will help the killer get some momentum and give an incentive for survivor not to abuse safe loop/good pallets because the killer could just break those pallets before continuing the chase.

    Thats basically what thanatophobia does...

It's worse on Xbox when you get dodged 6 times in a row and then you finally load into a game after 30 minutes of queuing to have 2 minutes of action before you're immiediatley tunneled and mori'd...Killer just want us to hold the same button down longer to make the game more fun for them and less stressful while we're losing braincells staring at a progress bar.

"killers just want us to hold the same button" then blame the devs for only including one objective... Its not the killer's fault gens get popped too quickly since there's only one objective. Play killer at rank 1 several times, survivor main smh

  • @SurviveByDaylight said:

i Just find that when I play killer, I don’t mind people escaping. As long as I had fun and I got a kill or two maybe 3/4. Which I do get those 4 pieces sometimes. And I’ve seen red and purple ranks in my games before as a rank 16 killer (I don’t play much) but I think that’s because there is a shortage of killers . But nah man I really believe killers can run on survivors just as easily. And there are things I find isn’t fair about the way killers do it . So... please ... killer complaints need to come to an end. We all know you want those 4 rando survivors to come in and die for you every game. Then when you get slammed you complain about gen speed 😂 if anything I think it’s too slow when combined with all the gen regression killers already have embedded into their perks. Thanatophobia, Ruin, dying light.. 😂 I mean come on.

This is such a troll comment right here... "Killer complains need to end". Just by that, I know for a fact you have not been in red ranks ever and even if you did, you probably only stayed for one day. Thanataphobia, ruin, and dying light are not 100% reliable perks and have their flaws. Also who said I got slammed by some survivors. Dude, I play killer a lot and I get 3-4k daily, but most games haven't been great as they usually end with either being in the endgame collapse or with 1 gen left with 90% progress. A killer shouldn't have to struggle with gen speeds and if you don't think its an issue, keep playing until you realize it... smh. Theres so much things that can help the killer, but the devs and people LIKE YOU (AKA survivor main) who think its unnecessary. If a killer needs to run 3-4 gen speed perks just to slow the game down... the issue is right there.

Not really. Surveillance works on regressing/kicked generators. If this hooking regression is like Surge's 8% or PGTW's 25%, or failing an old Ruin skillcheck, a static instant regression, then Surveillance wouldnt trigger at all. Its more like loss of progress rather than "all generators are instantly kicked".

And would it really be that bad if Surveillance triggered from that? It would simply be a worse BBQ or a Thrilling Tremors without an unnecessarily long cd. (Not like it matters, because it wouldnt happen anyway)

Thank you, thats exactly what it does, every time a survivor gets hooked, all gens get regressed by 3% (bc of the static thingy) but they do not continue to regress unless they were already in the process of regression due to it being kicked beforehand.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/139011/some-new-ideas-about-the-genrush-controversy-some-new-ideas-for-perks-too

The most killer sided concept I’ve ever seen. You do realize by making gen speed slower you’re only encouraging More SWF right? Because solo is near impossible. How about they do something about Mori’s ? I think all survivors should be hooked before killers can Mori. It’s not fun for survivors either to stick around for long when you’re able to kill people so fast. Killer players just want more and more. I get that gen rush is a problem. But there are ways to slow it down already. You don’t need to do anything about that. Toolboxes were already hit hard. I might just uninstall if they keep hitting survivors . You realize the last few patches were killer buffs right?

How is it even killer sided? Dude how long have you been playing the game? Gens nowadays get done quicker than ever. My concept rewards killers and punishes survivors for being caught. This discussion was abt my ideas NOT about moris so don't bring it up. Getting hooked only regresses gens by 3% so unless the survivor team sucks, this shouldn't be an issue, but it should give the killer some extra time to protect gens. You're probably a survivor main based on what you said.

As of today, I wish you had to bring in a key and it couldn't be found via in game.

I hate that I can be randomly shocked by a 3 man escape because they found a key in a chest... Like if you bring one in, I can at least pay around it and be aware of it... But 1/5 of my games today involved a 3 man escape via hatch with a key (1 was only a 2 man).

Like I am seriously debating on using my stock pile of mori's at this point. Which is stupid because I also find mori's broken. But this is kinda BS

I feel yeah, to be honest this game feels more of a luck based game, because you can be playing fair and really good, but then a single key ruins it and lets them escape... but then mori's feel op and then survivors start to complain about it... its so unfair on both sides really :(

  • I just wished ultra rare addons/items/offerings didn't exist because it makes the game harder to balance... thats my opinion tho

If the killer could get hooks quickly then other perks like dying light and pop are better. The problem is good survivors can do really well in chases at the beginning of the game and the killer will get gen rushed. Early game slowdown is currently the biggest problem atm.

Also my idea wasn't for a free perk to be given to all killers. It would be better if it was a dlc killers perk. It would lower the number of people running noed and cannot be abused like some other ideas floating around.

I understand your reasoning, but the issue I have with it is that DI and PGTW are perks and my idea is to slow the game as a whole AS A GENERAL CONCEPT NOT AS A PERK... DI doesn't trigger fast enough and you need to be hooking non-obsessions and the obsession isn't affected by the effects of the perk so technically if a non-obsession is on a hook, only two players are being affected by the perk. As for pop, it'll only work for ONE gen and if you fail to go to one, you wasted the perk, but my concept affects ALL gens. Though pop is a good perk (I use it myself)... its not completely reliable... if you hook someone and you're planning to go to a gen, but see someone at the process, you have to make a choice, go after the survivor or waste your time going to the gen and risk losing the survivor. However with the concept I made, you're still applying map-wide pressure while doing your objective at the same time... I think you misunderstood what I've been saying because the concept I came up with IS NOT a perk, but rather a part of the game that ALL KILLERS have access to (Just like the endgame collapse)...

  • @RPGWolfGamer23 said:

I love this concept, I don't really think perks need to be changed at all tho. The new Ruin is still pretty good on some killers. In terms of fixing gen rushing for all killers this is a new idea from "just make gens take longer" or "make a secondary objective" and I think it would work out pretty well. I'm a Survivor main on PS4 and even I think gens are way too fast.

Thank you for the feedback! The only reason why I added in some perk changes is to change up the current meta as in high ranks, the same perks are usually being picked and some perks in the game could need some serious makeovers such as baby-sitter and technician.

  • @CashelP14 said:

I like your idea but I don't think it is strong enough. This was the idea I had a month ago.

Hex: Hide And Seek: All totems on the map have the hex applied to it. The game starts with a 15/20/25% penalty to all action speeds. Every totem cleansed reduces this action speed penalty by 3/4/5%. This hex perk trumps all other hex related perks.

That idea is pretty cool to, but the idea I had was more of a generic thing and isn't a perk so every killer has access to it. Also the reason why, the number values is small is because if a killer manages to get hooks very quickly, gens will be pressured quickly too so it rewards players who are getting hooks and doing their objective :)

  • No one really talked about my suggestion :/
