To highlight their lack of interest toward the Twins.
-
I want Yun-Jin Lee and Mikaela Reid into the game. I think they'd be fun additions to the survivor roster!
-
I can now lower my pitchforks-
-
Did you seriously just ask for a DS nerf? Lmao
-
I think it's fine the way it is.
A lot of killers run it for a reason and I don't think a buff is necessary. Specific killers can already utilize the information really well i.e Blight, Nurse, Spirit, Billy, etc.
-
Philippine culture or any Asian that isn't part of Chinese, Japanese, or Korean descent.
No hate toward them of course, but it does get annoying when video game developers forget that Asia isn't just 3 countries. In most video games, the "Asian representation" has always been those three cultures. Rinse and repeat.
There are TONS of other cultures in Asia and it would be greatly appreciated to see more BROWN ASIAN representation as a fellow Filipino.
-
Being tunneled. I understand in some scenarios, but it seems to happen to me way too often. It feels like I have a target on my back that just says "please tunnel me!"...
-
I'm hoping the content will be good!
Also, will there even be a survivor? I'm not knowledgeable about this franchise, but it'll be cool to see a full chapter.

As long it isn’t similar to Spirit’s, I’ll be down with anything.
What would you like her power to be like? A genuine question.

Brenda is the next survivor confirmed.
Also, the whole scene is worth the post.
We really need Brenda :(
-
I'm interested to see how they'll incorporate her into the game though.
Will a survivor be included too?

Claudette when she finally loops her

thus the discussion.
obviously, this one discussion won't make a ton of difference on its own, and it'd be arrogant to think it could, but I think that if we break the "there are only 4 twins players" joke/belief there's a chance Twins will finally get the QoL they need.
We'll have to see how long it'll take for our wishes to come true then. Any (positive/advocative) twins post makes me happy.
-
For the love of entity, yes.
It's starting to really tick me off how BHVR refuses to give them attention. They have a crap ton of potential, but BHVR just won't use their brains of theirs to give them the changes they need.
-
Make it usable twice OR add additional effects to make it a better anti-tunnel perk.
This perk does the bare minimum against tunnelers, but unfortunately, it's the best option we have against the tunneling nuisance. Some killers can just eat it like a champ and come back after you in a matter of seconds i.g Blight, Spirit, Nurse, Wraith, etc.
Yes, I understand that the perk can sometimes be a game-changer at end-game, but if the killer decides to tunnel you straight up at 5 gens left (because there are players like that smh), DS becomes useless afterward and the killer has every right to just tunnel you later on since they know you already used DS.
Either make it work twice because a survivor CAN'T provide anything to the team while it's still active OR make the survivor leave no scratch marks + blood for X seconds after stunning the killer. Allowing it to work twice would be my preferred option though.

Anytime I hear something along the lines of "these changes make the killer more interesting" or "more bearable", it's just people blowing smoke about some unnecessary killer nerf they shoehorned into existence. There was nothing significant about post-rework, pre-nerf Freddy. He had some anti-loop and could tp to gens, big whoop. He's still an M1 killer. It's sad that any time we get a killer who can do decently against average teams, people complain that they're OP and then they get the nerf hammer. No killer has ever come close to being OP, especially add-onless, except maybe old Nurse. A killer being a noob crusher should not be justification for them getting nerfed. If they can't win at the highest level no matter how good they play, they need buffs and not nerfs.
Post-reworked Freddy was just not fun to play against. My survival rate against him was quite fair, but what he contributed to a match was the dullest thing a killer could bring.
From a survivor's POV I wouldn't say his power was extremely oppressive, but the lack of skill needed from his side was annoying. He could just face camp anyone and screw BT thanks to his sleep passive which was thankfully remedied by the recent clock buffs. He could spam his pools with no penalty, but the recent nerfs somewhat helped with that. Constant sleep + gen teleports + sleep add-ons alongside the other two components I just mentioned all gave him so much to his arsenal, but they were so easy to use. That was the issue I had with him.
-
Nope. It's considered a limited item. Items that are only usable in-game, but can't be brought outside to keep.
Another is like the vaccines when playing against Nemesis or the lament configuration when playing against Pinhead.
-
The reworked Freddy was a borefest and is an example of a killer who had so many components to his power, but with little skill put in.
I would dread every time the killer was Freddy. Thank goodness his most recent nerfs made him more bearable to play against.
Although I wouldn't mind if the first original Freddy would make his way back to DBD since he was actually unique.
-
Blight. I always get hit even when I'm around the largest/roundest obstacle possible. Gets infuriating quickly.
Aside from that, anyone who tunnels at 5 gens becomes annoying.
-
Literally though.
It seems like I have to always equip DS + BT every game once I notice that the killers I'm facing are experienced and/or iridescent grade if I at least want to have a less stressful game.
I'd like to run other perks and gimmicky builds, but those matches usually result in me wishing I had the meta perks equipped.

I’ve said before that DS could use a buff to make it better against tunneling. Who knows if it’ll happen.
Yes please!

Right?! I wasn’t getting them for like 2 months and then the past two days I got 4 camping bubbas
Oh, fr? It be like that though ughhhh-
We were really starting to get ticked off.
-
I've been enjoying it too! The snowmen are fun to use especially when you have friends playing with you.
Aside from the several face camping bubbas we've had, our experience has been really good so far.

You have a knack for this. Keep going.
Thank you! I like sharing what my imagination comes up with.
Here's another post I made with a survivor idea (the first one I came up with) if you're interested :)
@Mazoobi said:
Just a quick idea of a survivor I've had in mind for awhile! His perks were fun to make.
Survivor: Alan Neski
Brief bio: Alaskan-born man who has lived within nature's harsh territories with his parents until at the age of 25, his parents were caught in a storm and were never seen again.
Short desc. (in the selection screen): A lonely, but tough hunter capable of setting traps for unwanted visitors and escaping deadly situations at the nick of time.
Perks:
- Nearby Shelter: You can sense a storm coming and you know how to avoid it. Slow-vaulting into/out of a locker is increased by 30/40/50%. You leave no scratch marks for 3 seconds after leaving a locker. You also no longer suffer from the blindness status effect while in a locker.
- Wolf Pack: Learning from past experiences with your companions, traveling in groups can be a blessing. While you are within 6 meters from another survivor, the perk activates. While the perk is activated, you and all survivors within range receive a 1/2/3% haste effect. Survivors can only be affected by ONE wolf pack at a time (similar to leader and prove thyself)
-Tripwire: You have learned techniques to hunt, not to be the hunted. While you are standing at an upright positioned pallet, press the activate ability button to begin setting a tripwire on the pallet (3 seconds to set-up).
The tripwire will have an aura that will be shown to nearby survivors. The tripwire will only last for 35/40/45 seconds after being armed. If a killer walks through a pallet with a tripwire, the pallet will automatically drop. If a survivor drops the pallet instead, the tripwire is automatically destroyed. Setting up a tripwire causes a lengthy cool-down of 80 seconds.
I hope you guys liked it hehe, this character has been floating in my head lately so I might as well share it :)
-
To add on, I don't think the exclusive skins are even that appealing. For me at least.
I've seen other games have extremely good exclusives that really do stand out (Paladins for example), but these are just meh at most. BHVR as always :)

At this point they're hunting the last Twins mains on purpose
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :(
-
This may sound odd, but Sprint Burst, Head on, Fixated, and Vigil.
Use fixated to traverse the map and depending on the scenario, you'll either utilize sprint burst or head on. I play on a team a lot so head on gets used numerously, but sprint burst will be there if either the head on missed and SB will potentially save you from being hit OR the 3-second speed boost is needed and no lockers are nearby.
Very odd, but it does see the light every now and then.
-
Have Victor hide in the snowman and if a survivor hides inside, Victor just shreds them and gets the snowman hat as a cosmetic.
Boom easy fix.
-
@GoshJosh said:
If it had a 32m activation radius it could maybe compete with Iron Will.. but at 16m, you’re already in too much danger. In my opinion.
Yk, increasing the trigger radius wouldn't be a bad idea.
I'll always be an advocate for underwhelming perks getting more viability.
@IlliterateGenocide said:
its good but.... there is still no reason to run it in most situations. i guess if you like flashlight saves
If you're getting hardcore tunneled! That's an extra reason which is what I wanted to address in OP, but yeah self-preservation can also work with flashlight saves.
The perk does a lot more than what people think bc it gets shrugged off so easily, but I hope more people get to utilize its potential soon.

They usually don't complain about bleeding out, they do that only on forums...
They just find an excuse why they were petty instead and complain about that. You are sweaty, camping, tunneling, slugging etc.
Agreed.

@Dino7281 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2686769#Comment_2686769
Yeah, but at that point they are just petty and it's kinda their choice to bleed out. It's just only option that killer has, unless he wants to let them escape, which ######### them if they tried to do that.
Online video games do be bringing the pettiness out of people :p
@Trex_Crazy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2686769#Comment_2686769
Which is all well and good, but then you can't complain in the chat after about how the killer didn't pick you up.
I don't think I've had experiences with survivors complaining about bleeding out. It would be hypocritical for that survivor to be complaining at all bc I think their plan was to (like above) be petty and it was their choice. I'm assuming you've had survivors complain to you?
-
I think at that point, that survivor most likely doesn't want you to hook them at all.
They'd rather bleed out than give that extra 500 hook points.

yeah like the optiont to switch between current trickster and what new trickster power they would give. cause alot of people would be dissapointed in a trickster power change so the option to be able to play both would be nice
Ah ok. Understandable.

@IlliterateGenocide said:

if they give trickster a new power i want the option to switch between both like they failed to do with the "old freddy" situation
Switch as in pre-change and post-change states?
-
I think the latest trend of killers being really oppressive in chase alongside the constant amount of range killers now is starting to bug people.
I'd still rather go against an Artist than a Nemesis though. His chase just feels out of character and just reminds me of PH way too much, but with some zombies to make him feel slightly unique.
On a side note, I'd like to see Trickster receive a new power. He could've had some cool concept with music (maybe an AOE effect), but all we got were knives... I still haven't accepted that decision by BHVR.
-
A stylish outfit that just screams, "get tf away from me unless I like you".
I love it.

@Shaped said:
I mean playing swf is already a big benefit. Perks are just bonuses.
Well yeah everyone knows that but a tunneling killer will still get who they want unless the team either rushes through every gen with every second they have and the tunneled loops for that long OR the team takes hits (free hits for the killer), but that doesn't help the team.
However, I'm referring to the "Idgaf about others, but you and I will get you" type of killers which is who I usually face and self-preservation helps a lot with that.
@OopsAllHexes said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/299088/self-preservation-is-actually-pretty-good-yall
I mean, SWF, but I've noticed the same. I thought it was a bad perk until I started using it for a challenge. It triggered a lot for me, surprisingly, which made me begin to think that is it better than I expected when I remembered what the perk grants if it activates.
It might not be as bad as people think. Could stand to be meta because the current meta is getting a Survivor out of the game asap. This perk might undo those efforts completely and be what helps win games.
Yeah, I think self-preservation is a perk that just works wonders on SWF, but not ideally on solo queue even though the perk was probably designed for solo queue.
Similar to Head On, Self-preservation just complements SWF a lot.
-
I will admit, I'm not a fan of Spirit, but I still think she's still strong even after her nerf.
My SWF and I went against some adequate spirits and we still had to work hard to get out.
Her nerf just makes her more bearable to play against.

If I do recall right.... boons were supposed to "give the survivors a secondary objective" according to ex-dev Mclean
Yup and the community have been asking for "secondary objectives" for a while now so I guess we got what was asked.
-
Despite their potential, boons are a cool and good concept.
They'll hopefully be the call to "shift the survivor meta already" that the community has been asking for. I'm not saying they're perfect because tweaks can definitely be made to move them into a healthier state, but a lot of people overreact once they read what boons can do.
Boons indirectly give the killer more time because that's one (or more) less survivor on a gen which is the primary goal for survivors. Wouldn't you appreciate the extra time that's given to you? Also, I don't necessarily think snuffing out is a huge problem since totems are relatively easy to find even in a chase and only take a second to do so.
I find myself seeing survivors locating totems in the outskirts of the map which encourages them to waste time going to said location. Tweaking the numerical values of some boons such as CoH could help make them be in a healthier state. The time it takes to bless could be increased a bit and perhaps buff perks like Thanataphobia to affect blessing.
-
Some of us have already voiced our concerns and mine was put into the "feedback and suggestions' category from a mod, but knowing them, I doubt they'll even think about Twins until like... the next 50 chapters already came out.

could be reworked, the more gens are done the more you are waking up and so the better you perform? like the survivor version of fire up? the more gens are done the faster your actions are? like 2/2.5/3% faster actions speed for each tokens, and that includes every single survivor actions but running/walking of course, cleasing, opening gates, healing, vaulting etc etc.
Could work considering Fire Up and Wake Up came from the same chapter so the contrast between the two roles would be interesting!
-
To the person who voted this up and probably read through it.
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
Nah, making Grim Embrace 60 seconds would be a pretty bad idea design wise, since people could just facecamp an entire hook stage with basically no consequence.
The perk is fine as it is, honestly. It's pretty good.
Oh, that's true.
-
And give it more effects too!
Not too sure since I forgot this was a perk, but how about your aura being hidden while opening a gate and/or the gate noises being muffled only to the killer?
Anything to make it more viable would be good. I love seeing underwhelming perks get more power.

Lia and Ryujin! Lately i've been finding myself getting bias wrecked by Yuna, love them all though. But honestly my bias just keeps rotating especially after every comeback lmao, they're so talented! Couldn't agree more about LOCO and the album, Sooo lucky is probably my favorite bside from it.
Right?! I love all of them sm! Soo lucky is great, but I found myself listening to Gas Me Up a lot. Ryujin's rap is addicting.
