Fun killer to play and great idea but pretty dead. It's super rare to play against them but they do deserve some love and I hope devs get this feedback.

Twins needs love but love can also lead to twins..in real life 😉

Wait how did I barely see this haha. I'll give you credit on that statement lmao.

Yes, i love ITZY! Following them since their debut. I never would have thought to come across someone here on this forum who likes ITZY or Kpop in general.

    Oh YAY! Who's your bias?

Mine was Yeji and Lia, but Ryujin is starting to push through them for me. I love their new album and LOCO is such a bop.

  • Yun-Jin.

Her character was written so differently than most other survivors and I think it's a nice breath of air to include a survivor who is not fond of working with others or has a selfish demeanor. I also like KPOP so there's that. Does anyone here listen to ITZY? :O

For killer, twins. I love the idea of having a pair of siblings cooperating to hunt their prey.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Yeah, they clearly hate the side which did receive a lot of Buffs over the last 5 years and favor the side which gets nerfed for 5 years. CoH is the first Perk which is actually Meta after the release of David. Clearly, shows how much they favor Survivors.

I would not even compare Hexes and Boons, the only thing which they have in common is that they have some glowing flame at a Totem. And thats it. Hexes dont need to be build up for 14 seconds like Boons, Hexes are not heard from miles away, Hexes work map-wide.

I am pretty sure they will nerf Boons at some point, but please at least dont complain about Survivors running the same Perks all the time if you shoot against that one Perk that made people change their Builds.

    True.

There are variables behind the boon mechanic that many simply overlook. I like how boons (CoH specifically), are beginning to shake a lot of survivor's builds.

  • Oh my-

You should contact the support team right away, but I heard that they're being piled with many requests so it may take a while for them to reach you.

  • I always get caught even if my cosmetics are darker than normal so might as well wear cosmetics for style woot woot!

  • yes yes yes yes yes! They need it.

  • I literally forgot this was a perk.

I think the last time I ran this was back in 2017 when I was learning Nurse when DBD first released on console.

    Ahh... memories :)

  • Twins need an add-on pass AND QOL to make them be in a better state.

I don't even like the perk but I'm gonna carry Exponential in every single match from now on just to trigger Twins mains

Oh sure, be the A-hole here.

    Good luck finding Twins anyway.

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

They need some serious quality of life buffs and also new skin(s)!

With every recent patch they were nerfed (dead hard fix = worst for the Victor, CoH and now new Boon as well).

Yup. Every patch just adds more dust and pain toward Charlotte and Victor.

    @RoaderFrost said:

Dear Twins players, please stand near the Deathslinger, sorry sit next to him, as he can't stand now.

Victor is so easily countered by Dead Hard, survivor hear sound, presses the button and then stomps. By the time Charlotte woke up and gets there, survivor already gone and healed...

So Twins was turned into M1 killer with longest to cast and use map recon.

    We sit in solidarity!

    @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

I feel bad for you Twins mains. Vixotr (yes, that's how I call him) has to be one of the scariest things in the game, and one of the funniest too. Seeing him running after you is terrifying. Hope they get some QOL buffs or anything

They have so much potential and have captured a lot of people's hearts, but BHVR's continued neglect for them is mind-boggling.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

Twins is fun to play when they work. Because they don't work, they're stressful, and yet survivors are the ones complaining when they go against them. All the cooldowns, the slow animations, the kick opportunities. It's just too much power in the survivors' hands and not the killer's.

    Exactly.

They have counters and many aspects that make them clunky to play as. It's annoying as hell.

  • +1

(trying to bring this thread up)

  • @Phasmamain said:

In honour of the cause I will become a twins main until they get another cosmetic. You have my sickle!

    I appreciate your participation!

  • @Phasmamain said:

Fact is BHVR don’t like twins and are trying to quietly sweep them under the rug. Remember when deathslinger was a year old we got a tweet and a little celebration? Where’s twins celebration?

They’ve got 1 cosmetic set over the span of a year and every update is either directly or indirectly killing them. It’s the clear the devs want to remove them but can’t

The twins have been oppressed by society in their lore and now it's literally becoming reality.

    They need love.

  • I just hope us Twins mains (like what, 4 of us? Not even double digits) get our desired wishes! :(

Happy Twins-verssary to us all 😥

  • @Unicorn said:

And again, whenever the Dev's release perks to attempt to break META they are complained about.

Had a Killer call me a META rat last night for running COH, Leader, BT & Small Game. I guaranteed if I ran DS, UB, DH & SC I'd get the same response.

    You can never win/satisfy everybody.

    True though.

I had a killer lose their head toward me because flip-flop + tenacity saved me from being hooked to the basement...

At this point, it doesn't matter what you run because there's always someone who'll complain.

  • Hopefully, they implement a way to convert those rift fragments into something else for those who completed the rift already.

  • Am I the only one who thinks Adam's new portrait looks like a baby filter was used to take the picture?

I prefer the original one WAY more than the new one. The new background story pictures for all of them look nice though.

  • Lisa and Cybil definitely need their own voices. Been waiting.

  • I'm glad that they changed how dire crows interacted with swarmed survivors as mentioned from the patch notes,

"Swarmed Survivors who contact an idle Dire Crow will now have their Repel action reset (previously, it would damage the Survivor)"

"These changes were made to help reduce The Artist's power to shut down unhooking, and also to make her less oppressive during short loops by giving the survivor a counterplay option."

  • Possible.

Perhaps a 2-3 second increase every use up to a maximum of 8-9. I saw someone suggest this in another thread a while back and I think its fine.

All-Kill, RE, Hellraiser and Hour of The Witch were all skipped :( The narrator seems to be back now though because he was in the recent videos for the beginner guides.

Oh right I forgot about Hellraiser and Hour of the Witch. Theirs would've been good too, but all we got was Dwight being chained and Mikaela running from a trapper :(

Hopefully! I'd love to hear him again to narrate Portrait of a Murder!

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Also, if we get a spotlight trailer with the narrator, i'll have to buy it, those trailers are just too damn persuasive.

    I love those spotlight trailers.

They make the game look so good to play since it captures the ambiance of the chapter's theme. It's a shame that the All-Kill and RE chapters were skipped over though.

  • @Hannon said:

If I remember correctly they said that they would implement small different advantages for each survivor (like a year ago)

    this would be cool!

I would like to see it as well or anything to make survivors individually more interesting.

  • @Laluzi said:

The intrinsic problem is that some of these are way better than others. Are you going to take 1% bonus movement speed or 20% slow vaulting locker speed? Extra great skill check progress or 8m of locker auras? An extra second of stun or 10% wider skill checks? There's just no contest and we have too many survivors to come up with enough viable ideas; some are guaranteed to be superior. The result is that some survivors become worse than others and now all lobbies are full of Megs and Lauries instead of whoever your favorite character is.

I appreciate you going over the list though. I really do :)

    @RaSavage42 said:

Those look good on paper but in practice it might be horrible (positive or negative)

Fair point. Hopefully, the game receives something new & fresh that isn't just a chapter. I'd like to see the game have some new interesting mechanics.

  • The concepts are good. I like Hurry Up! which is an interesting twist for the exhaustion roster, but I think all of their values seem a bit too forgiving and possibly abusable in a group.

Savior is definitely going to be abused in a SWF, but instead of a 30% boost, 10% (maximum) is a lot safer.

Hurry up! 's value of 100% seems too strong considering multiple people can run this and possibly with prove thyself or toolboxes. Either the duration is reduced or repair speed is dropped considerably. Gen-speeds are already an issue and this perk will break the balance even more.

The boon seems fine, but I think the value can be cut in half considering the boon meta being really strong.

Really good ideas, but their numerical values seem very abusable.

  • @GannTM said:

I like it that all survivors have the same base stats. Giving them passives will create so many unbalances.

    Oh yes, I 100% agree.

This was to present some ideas if passives were to be part of the game. I wish the survivor role had more flavor to work with as the current survivor gameplay is getting somewhat stale.

  • @Shroompy said:

this has been something people have thought about already, and honestly I'm down, thing is the bonuses need to be looked at REALLY carefully, because make some stronger than others and you make some Survivors stronger than others, while this is inevitable there shouldn't be an obvious choice, the difference in their strength needs to be VERY small

I agree. I've always wanted the survivors (as in character) to have more significance.

I tried making my ideas as limited as possible and baring some similarities to their already existing perks or lore.

  • @VikingDragonXii said:

Yeah ummm hate to say most of those would actually break the game. Its already hard enough for Killers and those passives would make it impossible with Boons and Metas.

Neat idea but no thank you.

Yeah, I already understand why this concept hasn't been implemented yet. Just wished the balancing of the game didn't make it an issue.

    @DarkMagik said:

Some of these Survivors have a Built In Perk, others have great, while others have Trash

It's somewhat difficult to add an original passive for survivors while trying to keep it balanced. I just figured some would be better off with a passive version of their perk since it would improve their "intended gameplay".

    @[Deleted User] said:

    I really like these ideas

    Thank you :)

  • This however would remove some counterplay against killers like Hag or Pyramid Head. It would also force Urban Evasion to a rework.

I don't know, tea-bagging is annoying, but I'd rather have a survivor lose distance by tea-bagging in front of me than having a head start after dropping a pallet.

Literally just went against a Infinite Tombstone Myers on RPD and ofc, I'm the one who realizes he has tinkerer when he comes charging around the corner with no terror radius for a mori lol. Scared the crap out of me.

Oh noooo. I would've hated that.

  • Lisa, Cybill, and Jonathon.

I wouldn't normally pay for ridiculously high costing skins with my own money, but luckily Microsoft rewards come in clutch for Xbox players :D

  • It's one of the few perks that genuinely scares me from time to time and reminds me that this is a horror game. I don't think it needs any changes.

Compare to Deja vu, its fair for Visionary to have cool down so you dont instantly slam on another Gen after finish one.

But in reality, you already gather information of other Gens' locations when doing current Gen, make the cool down really pointless.

Exactly. Hardly anyone runs it anyway so might as well remove it :p

Or just rework the perk entirely unless the devs want to keep it as a training wheel perk, but I don't find putting training wheel perks behind a DLC necessary.

  • I had a killer idea that I've always wanted to share, but haven't done so yet, but here are the perks I came up with for him:

    Predatorial instincts:

Your thirst for more blood grows as you serve the entity.

Hooking a survivor gives you a 2/3/4% haste effect until you injure a survivor by any means. That survivor will then have their aura revealed to you for the next 8 seconds.

"Yes... I know that feeling. I need more"

    On Your Tail:

You know where to make it hurt as your strikes slowly cripple your prey.

Injured survivors suffer from the impaired status effect while repairing a generator. It will linger for 20/25/30 seconds after letting go of the generator. (Impaired = survivors repair, heal, and unhook slower)

Hitting a survivor will lengthen any of their status effects for an additional 20 seconds.

    "Nowhere to go little one"

    Deep in the Shadows:

You'll remind your prey that you can be anywhere at any moment...

When a survivor fails a skill check within 36 meters from you, you receive the undetectable status effect for the next 6/8/10 seconds.

"Careful with every step before you fall in the darkness with me"

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure if it was obvious enough, but my killer is a skilled hunter where his perks focus on enhancing his ability to pursue his prey & crippling them. I hope you liked them!

    I agree.

I actually chatted with the missus (a lovely, incredibly intelligent Nigerian woman) about this, and in her opinion, removing it would actually be something of an insult to POC people. It's like saying 'well, Bubba wouldn't wear that'.

The entire issue seems to be a deliberately uncharitable read of a situation and attempting to frame it as bigotry.

That said, while it does make me roll my eyes, I really don't care overmuch.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2654337#Comment_2654337

    Bingo.

Honestly, there's an argument to be made that this is exactly how inclusivity should look.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2654336#Comment_2654336

    Well, yes?

There's definitely a discussion to be had here. I'm not a fan of the whole 'one or two people on Twitter find something problematic therefore nobody gets to enjoy it' mindset right now.

In a situation of Schrodinger's Offensiveness, always infer a charitable interpretation.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2654429#Comment_2654429

Sure. But in the same respects, sanitizing everything because of hypotheticals/not to risk offending anyone is a ridiculous route to go. It turns into a nasty little purity spiral where literally everything is problematic.

I still remember the 'Far Cry 5 is TOO diverse' articles, because some journalists...didn't like that you could have black enemies. There was also a big thread last night about how making the new survivor a war criminal is problematic. In a horror game.

This game already has a pretty robust reporting system and the devs have made it clear that anyone acting in a bigoted manner will have them rain hell down upon them.

As far as I'm concerned, that's more than enough.

I get what you're saying and it would just be weird if Bubba only had Meg or Dwight's face, but excluded Claudette and Jake's.

  • Red Herring. I like perks that have effects that aren't just "increase X speed" or bland. I like the perk's concept especially coming from Zarina's lore, but its cooldown + its requirements hurt it.

I'd say reduce the cooldown from 60/50/40 to 40/35/30 and instead of just using lockers to trigger the perk, working on a different generator will trigger it as well. Finding and using the lockers are just not time-efficient.

Also honorable mention to Visionary... I don't see why this perk would really need a cooldown.

  • Having at least 2 challenges selected at the same time would be preferred. A bit fair too.

  • I too have never seen an issue with this headpiece.

Leatherface could care less about the color of your skin, your sexuality, or any disability... he'll still wear your face.

  • The perk should grant the undetectable status effect for a fair amount of time after hooking someone. Perhaps even protecting them from the effects of Spine Chill/premonition while it's active.

So the killer can traverse the map and use the perk without a gimmick effect.

This "moaning and groaning" isn't about BT being used to take protection hits. That's fair game. Everything you can do in the game is fair game, including tunneling and camping.

This "moaning and groaning" is about survivors squandering the tools available to them to prevent tunneling, and then proceeding to ######### about tunneling and camping later. It's hypocritical to sweat and use your perks in a tryhard way, and then ######### and moan about killers doing the same.

If this does not describe you, I don't know why you're replying to my posts as if it does.

Because your original post sounded like another BT complaint which ticks me off, but if that wasn't your intention, then everything's good.

Exactly my issue. I agree with your first point, the power was unique, just was not strong enough to be in the game. With proper balancing, I feel like it could have been a very good power to utilize and play with. I am literally confused on how you get stumped on a power for a killer who is known for his creativity in how he kills people. Myers is straight forward, he has a knife, he stabs. Freddy could have been anything, and they choose to make him a cool filter screen M1 killer.

Right. Not to mention his dream-world makes console performance suffer (For me at least).

  • His first released state was honestly a unique power and it kinda just sucked that it naturally had issues, to drag along with it.

I wished the devs were able to keep that original state, but just tweaked it with healthier changes for both sides. The reworks for him just make him similar to other killers, but with a "dream-world" which is just for aesthetics if anything...

1 … 17 18 19 20 21 … 29
