Of course, if you play in a very unfun way survivors are going to equip perks to deal with it. This is why it's funny to see people cry about DS and BT, yet they will camp/tunnel every time they get a chance to.
I had a legion moan at me for stabbing her with DS when she literally went after me the entire game...
like um hello?

By not hardcore tunneling someone that doesn't use meta perks..? Like if you're gonna complain about the meta on either side and then use perks/tactics which do nothing but encourage this meta then you're just a hypocrite lmfao
I won't stop bringing BT and DS every game for this very reason.

That’s not the point. Please explain to me how a killer that ignores the game physics is balanced. At least Spirit and Blight are strong while having to obey the rules. As a result, those two are way more balanced than Nurse will ever be.
As much as I dislike facing against a Spirit, I'd have to agree with this.
Nurse's ability to break restrictions makes chases feel uneventful too.
-
It was close between new content or buffs/nerfs/reworks, but I chose the b/n/r because it's fun to see underwhelming content getting better and overwhelming content getting healthier changes.

Yeah but smash hit is a garbage perk even with this. Worst exhaustion perk other than adrenaline and head on
Sounds like you haven't experienced enough success with the perk or the perk combo?
Smash Hit isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Plus, I've seen players use the combo and it's quite effective.

Idk why they would, it’s already a useless perk.
Useless sounds a bit harsh.
I always run Head On & DS so it'll just compliment my build even more.
-
When I play survivor: Save The Best for Last, Starstruck, Nurse's Calling, and Iron Maiden (I like Head On)
When I play killer: Sprint Burst and Iron Will
-
Saboteur, Red Herring, and Deception have really long cooldowns for what they do.
Also speaking of Saboteur, why does the cooldown still trigger even if the sabo wasn't complete? It's not like sabo-ing is a strong meta atm.

ngl i prefer RPD over other indoor maps and yes, I would be very upset if they remove it
I'd choose to play on RPD over Lery's any day! I really can't stand Lery's.
-
BT and DS haven't left my builds for this very reason ESPECIALLY DS.
The amount of times the killer has selected me to be killed off first is hilarious and they complain when my team + DS try to extend my lifespan. Not to mention SWF is simply a good "counter" or remedy to the tunneling issue. Thus, encouraging people to play SWF which is stronger (in most cases) than killers.
-
genrush asap so when they decide to facecamp, we'll have a headstart
-
Artist is already a good killer.
You wouldn't need this buff if you played well in the match.
-
Always preferred Sprint Burst tbh.
-
I'd be down if the cap was doubled and if a bp storage was implemented.
There were many times where I would have extra bp due to an event or the archive but didn't need the bp at the moment but I didn't want to play matches at max bp cap so I would just waste that precious bp on a character. The storage could help us store BP for future use.
-
Spirit.
-
Today is still Feb 21 for me :(((((((
Thank you though! I probably would've glanced over it.

Yes? "just playing with friend while sharing information and coordinating everything you bring" is considered sweaty, and having consistent and reliable teammate as is is already extremely sweaty enough.
Game is clearly not designed with survivors having REAL coordination in mind, you are exploiting game design flaw and get mad when other side do same thing? it's ridiculous.
Never knew that pressing the square that reads "Survive with Friends" that was made by the developers themselves was wrong. We should've known better. How wrong of us...
I guess we should just delete DBD now since our mere existence is too much for killers to handle with.

What the ######### is "fair" in SWF with 4k+ hours each, something like don't share information and don't bring items and don't use any coordinated perks?
game is designed for SoloQ with no voice comm, while having at least one or two of not so good players, how can you call it "fair" when you are stacked with 4k hour each SWF, and why are you expecting killers to throw the game just so you can win.
It's not even "deserved" or anything, game is unplayable without utilizing tunneling/camping against even decent survivors, stop playing sweaty.
Who TF said we were playing sweaty?
So everyone who decides to play with their friends and has supported the game since launched is considered sweaty?
Want us to move to another game? Want to gatekeep people from playing SWF now?
We load into a match, do gens, loop for a while, unhook who needs unhooking, make plans according to the situation, leave those who can't be saved... what do you want from us huh? Don't go out demonizing all groups of SWF when most of us just want to play a game.
WE ARE VERY WELL CAPABLE of playing sweaty and we have done so in the past if the situation calls for it, but we're just friends who like DBD so if you don't like us being nice, then cool your choice, but don't act surprised when we retaliate.

@DoubleIIDivaTTV said:
Good question. I'm sure the reason a lot of Killers camp and tunnel are because survivors kinda deserve it.
From teabagging, baiting with the flashlight, breaking hooks and gen rushing to holding games hostage until the last second of Endgame just to be a jerk...
Bottom line: You reap what you sow.
mmm...
My 4-man SWF (with 4k+ hours each) play fair, but the second we see the killer camp or tunnel especially if the game is still relatively early, then the killer should expect us to do that the entire game + anything that killers don't like.
So yes, you reap what you sow.
-
Have a chill but a sentimental moment with everyone in that trial.
I would like to play with my online friends that make up our swf. We've had so many memories in the game both good and bad, but it would be nice to chill with them + the killer for one last run.

thats a really good idea like a trap boon
Thanks! A trap-like boon could be fun!
The idea was inspired by Haunted Grounds of course.
-
I have one:
-----------------------------------------
Boon: Raging Hope
A boon that holds uncontrollable energy. It sparkles with wrath.
Press and hold the Active Ability button near a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon Totem.
Soft chimes ring out within a radius of 24 meters.
When the totem is fully snuffed out, blue light will explode from the totem, stunning the killer for 3 seconds.
All survivors that were within boon range will see the killer's aura for 3/4/5 seconds.
------------------------------------------
I think it'd be cool to have a boon that would trigger upon being snuffed. This could create scenarios where the killer would have to be cautious when attempting to snuff a boon during a chase. This is essentially an odd "boon protector" that still allows the totem to be snuffed. This perk may still not do much if the killer isn't on a chase so it does have some fair elements.

No but they probably want to add a lot so they become a prominent perk type. Same with scourge hooks.
Yeah, this is probably it.
Now we actually have boon synergy with Boon: DT + SS.

I'm sadly not versed enough in social media to really give you an answer to that one. Wasn't even aware you could hide posts from certain individuals outside of a total block. So I really couldn't say what that means!
Ah, it's okay.
I did actually make an edit to my reply. Not sure if I was fast enough to send it before you read the reply, but maybe you could give some insight toward that?

If they blocked you, it's because they weren't having "a fun time" and wanted to give you less of an opportunity to start a conversation.
I suppose that is a possible and valid reason, but we can still have a convo. I just can't see their new stories/highlights.
If they weren't having a fun time, I wish they would've been direct about it at the very least.

Couple of things stand out in this post.
"All of these pictures were so cute," raised red flags immediately to me. It sounds like you're trying to justify wanting to keep up with this person's social media - to us, or to yourself, I'm not sure. The fact that you discovered that this person has ghosted you by 'accident' is probably a good thing in the long run. It likely means that while you've been 'talking' to this special someone, they probably don't feel the same way about you.
For the sake of being healthy, I'd continue to 'talk' and just dodge the social media space entirely. If the two of you eventually hit it off, ask if you can add them on whatever socials you regular. But if not, I'd disengage.
EDIT: (Asking why they blocked you is probably the worst thing you could do in this situation. "Hey, this guy/gal who I've noticed taking an interest in me is looking at my socials. That's a little creepy, better to block just in case." turns into "Ok, this person noticed the block right away - I've got a stalker situation." Its killing any chance whatsoever. )
The funny part is that they're the ones who found me on social media and started the ball rolling. We haven't met each other in person yet although we can possibly do it soon since we're not that far from one another so social media is what's keeping us in touch.
Maybe I should've reworded better, but I can still message and see their feed, but just not actually see anything new they decide to post.
Is hiding stories a sign of distrust? Also, what should I say next? I'm all for respecting people's boundaries, but why bother making the first move but ghost right after?
EDIT: I completely forgot to add this in OP, but they did actually ask to meet a week ago, but I had to decline to an emergency on that very same day. I did try to make it up by saying that I'll take some time for them soon. They seemed very okay with it, but now I don't know if I should commit to that if they don't seem willing to trust me.
^ I'll add that in the OP to possibly help make my issue clearer.
-
@WTBacon said:
Just ask them.
If asking them why you are blocked is somehow enough to immediately end the relationship, it wasn't going to work out.
That can be true.

I'm sure the community can agree that Boil Over has always been one of those perks that really needed a buff in order to be viable, but its recent buff has stirred some concern for the health of the perk.
What if the perk worked like this:
- Increased stagger effect by 50/75/100%
- The killer can not see any hook auras for 6 seconds upon picking you up
- The killer suffers from an additional 2% hindered status effect
The perk would remain relatively the same, but with altered effects to improve its poor viability. The killer would still have a fair shot with dealing with the perk and would encourage them to pay attention to their surroundings to counteract against the aura-reading denial. Additionally, the current BO's height effect relies on the right maps/situations, but this would make it more consistent w/o relying on map offerings and be fair even with sweat teams.
Of course, the killer can bring agitation or other "carry perks" to reduce the impact this may have, but that can be said for many strats: counterforce vs hex's, autodidact vs coulrophobia/anti-heal, bt vs campers, etc.
This is probably not the best idea to buff the perk in a fair state, but I wanted to share a possible idea that could the perk in a better direction.
I made this discussion recently that shared some thoughts and a proposal I had for it.

The cursed corner of Dead Dawg.
However, it's statistically almost impossible for it to be that often.
That's 2/26 Killers on 2/35 maps and then the Killer has to either get lucky or be using Lethal Pursuer.
But yes, sometimes you just get unlucky. That's why in both my original comment and my original reply, I didn't say ALL the time. I said most or often, as sometimes the game just decides you die.
Yeah, this game just has a tendency to test my patience sometimes.
After dying from a face camping bubba (first hook mind you), I spawned DIRECTLY in front of a spirit in the next match. Let's say that match was ALSO loads of fun. I couldn't record it because my Xbox was actually full of capture storage so I couldn't use the quick clip feature. This occurred last week or 2 weeks ago... but recently.
-
Up to you honestly, a lot of people I know including myself consistently switch "mains" so you should just choose the one you like atm, but don't be surprised if you want to pursue another "main".
At the moment, my main is Yun-Jin. I really like her, but special recognition to Feng, Gucci Garland, and Jane.

If you get caught wandering in a Dead Zone while the rest of your team is in better positions, you aren't doing yourself any favors
Unless you spawn in one, the amount of times I spawned in Dead Dawg's awful dead zone or in Wrecker Yard's dead zone with a Bubba/blight making a beeline for me is quite common.

Slug camp is best way to secure ONE kill, people took it too seriously.
I suppose, but I'm trying to refer to those who'll drag it in a hell-ish manner. I don't necessarily see why they have to sit on top of my body when there are still 4 gens left or when I'm the last survivor left in the trial. If it's for strategic purposes sure, but why waste my time and yours if there's no one left... let's get it over with yk? That is what I don't understand.

To be fair I just assume all survivors in a match have boil over after I see that horse icon on the first person I down at this point so if it was a match with me I apologize but the slugging has become a habit if I pick someone up and I see it everyone's getting slugged
I supposed that's fine. I mean, a lot of full SWFs were abusing it, but I'm trying to refer to those who literally get me and just stare... It just wastes my time really, especially if I'm the last survivor too.

It's difficult to be nice when people are constantly horrid to you.
It's a viscous cycle. Killer tries to play nice, gets a toxic squad, takes it out on some Solo Q gamers who then join their own SWF's and the cycle continues.
I suppose that is the sad truth.
-
Well, that's fun to hear /s
I wish people were a bit nicer. Would honestly go a long way for all of us.

Very true!
-
Leader and Thanatophobia could definitely use this to improve their viability.
How about Dying Light and Scourge Hook: GoP? Heck, we could even have Overwhelming and Unnerving presence give a small blessing debuff in addition to what they already do if we want more.

Home the perk has such niche effects that a rework is probably all that will save it
True. The perk's concept was to be a nuisance to the killer while being carried whilst providing a higher chance of wiggling off which I suppose is what I was trying to preserve.
What rework would you suggest?

Idk why but promo arts sometimes have misleading context such as when Kate's grim matsuri skin showed her having blonde hair in the promo art, but is literally silver/white in-game.
