I’m with you usually, I’d rather run Devour Hope for example just in case it lasts, and if it doesn’t activate or gets cleaned oh well the next game is just a click away.

I’ve fiddled with both, I agree it’s strong but it feels overly slowdown/sweaty/forever ish/ if that makes sense.
Hiw is surveillance getting nerfed?

Huh. Didn't think of that, thanks. I just assumed in high ranks everyone knew their way around all killers. Then again I only play Plague so yeah.
With no per-killer MMR, but still locked in MM, signing up to play anything you're not experienced with in red ranks is basically just asking to get kicked in the balls for 3-6 minutes. The higher rank you are the less flexibility in what you can play and how you can play it, the sweatier the squads you're up against, and the less fun the game is in general. There is a reason you see people "de-pip" on purpose. I'm rank 3 and my roster is basically limited to 1 killer if I even want a chance against most teams.
-
Surge and PGTW are the two best and can even work well together. Surge can save you a fair bit of time if you get good down spots and can hit multiple gens at once but when you really want to crush dreams PGTW is the best for stomping that nearly finished gen. They're both good as slow down perks go. I don't think anything else is worth it.
Sloppy is only good with something else that can benefit from it, other things like Thana don't do enough, and at that point you're probably better with chase/tracking. Ruin is trash can be easily destroyed or countered. Surveillance is getting nerfed in to the ground and that was the only thing I would even attempt to bring Ruin with. The # of S-tier, must have killer perks is exceedingly small, arguably even less than just second chance perks from survivors, healing and other things not even included.

Hi people of the fog and DEVs, the title says everything. I don t see players playing with the Plague a long time ago i mean, even nurse is more playable than Plague himself. Her power is fun to use but ONLY with strong addons and yet even with those strong addons, strong survivor or solid survivor can waste her alot time. The Plague is a fun killer but her power could be better. In strong loops her power is useless and sometimes even if you want to vomit to a survivor, you may fail because its easy to counter it. Has a main killer i feel that Plague pain, even when i play survivor most of the killers who use Plague, they dc fast and i understand it why.
Do you guys agree with a Plague rework in the future ? Yes or No
I see her about as often as Nurse... which is to say very rarely. I had a daily with her a couple days ago and her vomit now arcs like a firehose making it suck to aim a lot worse than I remember. I re-rolled it. After I got her perks we were pretty much done. I love the idea behind her, but as others have stated, having to rely on survivors to get your real power is stupid. Good survivors will just ignore being sick and rush gens anyway and then she's just like any other bad M1 killer with terrible map control.

learn something and even have fun.
Just saying. There is always something you can try doing even against most notorious and broken killer setups (Like spirit with best addons, mori and stridor). Even if you don't make it out alive, you can still get some points or train different tactics like stealth. You can even learn or train different tricks and jukes against killers you dislike.
But if you just perform hook suicide, DC or lead killer to teammates in order to finish the match quickly, you'll never learn anything. You will never learn, get any points and you will just end up being another loser, who gives up instantly once seeing something harder than you expected.
I'm mostly talking to survivors, since they are the once who quit/throw more often than killers, though this goes to killers in some way. Even if you won't win, you still can learn and practice that time, when you get "these" survivors. Just don't quit because you decided that's too difficult for you. There is always something you can get even out of worst situations. Get a chance to practice your power on huntress or some other skillcap killer, get better at looping and mindgaming or simply get as much points as you can.
As for you, people who trashtalk in chat and BM because you are winning and your opponent is just trying to play the game even though he is not doing well. Nobody loves you. Deep down inside you know that, but never admit even to yourself. Get some help. Get this poison out of yourself and stop spitting acid on other people in a desperate attempt of trying to raise up your self confidence because you feel safety behind internet anonymity and just end up ruining everybody's day and enjoyment in this already pretty frustrating game. Just know you are awful, but you still have a chance for redemption.
Thanks.
I just faced a red rank SWF with 3 flashlights as Hag. They proceeded to destroy me and then brag about how they have over 10,000 hours in game between them and 2 are 2016 players. I will lobby dodge that ######### next time.

It's because it's a horror game. If it wasn't that genre, I would of never become invested in it.
I played a few games this morning against some 'pros'...all knew how to constantly loop, high-powered flashlights etc. As soon as you hit the red ranks...the fun tanks. And sometimes you don't even have to be in the red ranks to get matched with red rank survivors...the naff match-making will sort that for you (me = current rank 10 killer vs 4 red ranks this morning). The behaviour is just bad. Really ruins the overall gaming experience.
Another thing that gets up my nose is the extended community. I have some reservations over the whole 'Fog Whisperer' malarkey and the selection of some of the 'whisperers' in relation to their character is rather eyebrow raising. BHVR should be careful in that respect. But oh well.
Overall, it's a good game...but I could easily live life without it.
As soon as you hit the red ranks...the fun tanks
It's a shame we don't have sig lines here.

Every time I see SCP I think of secure copy.
Secure copy protocol (SCP) is a means of securely transferring computer files between a local host and a remote host or between two remote hosts. -
I'm lucky to get 20 FPS on indoor maps and it stutters like clockwork every 15-20 seconds and drops half of those for 1/2 seconds. This is on PC. Their optimization is piss poor. Not looking forward to "graphics updates" at all.
EDIT: This is on lowest possible settings with FPS cap disabled in the engine.ini.

No. They're all exhaustion perks i.e. they all share a cooldown. Adrenaline will activate even if you're under exhausted status effect but it also resets the countdown.

It’s not even letting people die, I’ve had teammates (most likely OP) that wait five seconds and if no one is running for the save they start trying themselves... I have a full minute before you go to second stage, if I’m 80% of the way into a gen then I still have plenty of time to compete and head to get you if nobody else goes first.
Meanwhile I have teammates willing to leave a gen at 99% to go make a save the INSTANT someone gets hook so the killer pops it, turns around and heads over to “tunnel,” the first person and then chase the savior. Now we have someone slugged, someone being chased and a gen that could have been finished but will now be regressing back to zero.
Yea, true.

20% is crazy to you huh
Riiiiiiggggght.
Second chance perks: BT/DS/UB/DH/Adrenaline/Deliverance (100% unhook chance lol)/Soulguard/
Healing perks: Self-care, inner strength, for the people, we'll make it, second wind, no one left behind, no mither, mettle of man, desperate measures (very soon),
- Can heal your teammates from any injured/dying state to full health with no perks no add-ons no consumables.
- Environments are absolutely full of stun pallets and window vaults
- 4% chance to unhook yourself, per try, with default 3 tries (each one eats 20 seconds from timer), doubled with Slippery Meat.
- Can recover if left to 99% which requires about 1 second to get you back up again
- Takes 4 minutes to bleed to death from slug
- Takes 2 full minutes to die on hook
- Can be hooked 3 times before dying
All of these chances are PER SURVIVOR making it where you're actually facing a zombie army as killer. You already have a massive advantage, magnified 10x when in an SWF that negates the need to bring any info perks. There are FAR too many second chances already.

Sometimes letting you die is the right play. I just lost a game to a face camping NOED Spirit (console), we had 4 gens done, but she ended up with a 4K, because I tried to save my teammates, and so did they. That's my fault, and also my other teammates. If we had just done the last gen it would have been possible to make a play or at least get 2 or 3 out.

If you find pallet loops on most maps too much, then I think you just need to try and improve more with killers to counter loops or at least get pallets dropped as fast as possible. There are definitely still some maps with far too many safe pallets, but in general maps have gotten much fairer when it comes to loops and tile distribution.
Also flash lights aren't too powerful anymore, they can be good for flashlight saves but killers have more than enough counterplay against those saves. Toolboxes also aren't a problem anymore and Adrenaline means the survivor only played the match with three perks up until Adrenaline procs.
Adrenaline is a better NOED, and all you hear are screams for NOED nerfs. The only reasonable counter play for flashlights is Franklin's (yea I'm aware of Lightborn) getting locked in to an animation when you pick someone up ######### sucks and just incentivizes slugging even more. Toolboxes are pretty weak unless you're going for sabotage, considering how fast gens get done, they don't need to be stronger and can still finish a gen in a clutch.
-
@Peanits said:
To say more than ever is a bit of a stretch. Let's not forget that back in the day, Sprint Burst had a 20 second cooldown and recharged while sprinting, double pallets were everywhere, infinites were actually infinites and not just a buzz word that gets thrown around for a strong-ish loop, you could self care faster than the killer could hit you, and Decisive Strike was always active no matter what.
That said, though, as other have mentioned, you can disable crossplay if you feel it's making the experience worse for you. We do not mean to force it on you. If you're in a lobby, the option will appear greyed out. If you head back to the main menu, you'll be able to untick the box and opt out.
Do you value the opinions of people who literally play this game as a full time job?

What would killer mains like to see implemented into the game to make gen rush non existent.
If people all spread out on different gens and are competent, there is nothing you can do. Corrupt Intervention is the only thing that gives you even a very brief gasp of air and if they all just hide it does nothing at all but waste everyone's time.
I watched a Fungoose video two days ago where he was in a 2-man SWF and the rest were randoms and they had 3 gens done in under 2 minutes vs a Legion, this was a rank 1 game, and he looped/spun/deadharded the Legion about half of that time til the dude gave up. I felt bad for the Killer that whole game, and it was a short one.
How do you balance this? I don't think you can. Most killers are weak and need buffs, this is probably the best place to start. Also, everyone not in an SWF should be getting 100%+ BP gains for every man in the SWF they're against (including solo queues used as filler) at the very least.

Lery is not only unplayable on Billy, there are others like Huntess, slinger, Bubba. If a map can make lots of killer unplayable then it needs a rework. Or blood lodge in your example, wraith can still use his invisible and sprint ability to catch up with survivors fast. Billy on lery is no power.
This is true of basically everything. Lery's sucks hard as Nurse (and Freddy because 10 FPS ######### sucks) but it's okay as Doctor and even Trapper if you get a good basement (I like putting traps on doorway thresholds myself) setup.
Every map makes some killers basically unplayable because they're all balanced different with different powers, add-ons, and vast differences in strength and mobility and there isn't a single map that takes this in to account (even Saloon which is my favorite on both sides); I'm not even sure it's possible because of how the game is. Additionally, most killers are underpowered in general.
-
You shoulda left it at Lerv. Also Lery's is not the worst map although it might be in a 3 way tie for worse frame rate. Ormond is the worst map for killers. I've heard people say they think Saloon is the worst map for survivors but I get away and see other people get away more often than not there.

Still seeing red rank SWFs as rank 3 killer. I see no difference, except queue times are worse right now for some reason. ~5 minutes is still better than ~15+.

I am noticing more crossplayers are CHEATING in game. I can have really good, strong matches and then suddenly out of nowhere. The killer is appearing right behind me and was more than 100-200 FEET away 2 seconds ago.
Killers should NOT be allowed to Cross play with another platform PERIOD. Knowing a thing or two about networks and systems. This may sound good on paper. But because this game has little to NO forgiveness when it comes to latency, tickrate and timings. The matches go sour.
Today on Auto wreckers a player whom I had been looping very easily. just stopped mid match. Then suddenly teleports behind me and is now teleporting constantly behind players.
Then again on the Ski map. A scummy Rabbit Huntress is suddenly using a magnet hatch HACK to hit players. When they weren't at all. in line of sight.
IMO we should be able to "chat" with them post game and tell them stop being cheaters. and more.
As a Hag, I can only go 40m without add-ons 🤗

The first one is solid, the second one should replace sloppy with something else.

Do you prefer to not have Whispers or run Whispers? I ask because me as a Killer I love knowing when someone is near to pinpoint exactly where they are so hiding is very hard for survivors. However if I don't run the perk it makes finding the last survivor pretty rough and makes me feel dumb knowing I might be looking in an area that no survivors are in. Just a curious thought would love to hear other peoples ideas behind their choice. One reason I could see why people prefer not to is to save that perk slot for specific builds, to not waste a slot, or to make the game more challenging.
It helps most at the beginning and end of games, but I don't use it much because after awhile you get a sense for where people are anyway. If you watch some of the streamers with thousands of hours they look clairvoyant and know where people are before they do.

My suggestion is that you enter with the mindset that you no longer care about rank. The game is very moody and specific about what qualifies as a pip for killer. I've had games where I hook people within seconds and slam gens with insane coordination and power usage but I didn't kill someone so screw me, depip.
Now I play how I like and I decided I don't like serious, stressful games. I enter with the game mind of messing around with my power and trying out weird or blatantly horrible perk set ups. I typically let at least one person go or sometimes two of them. This does two things: it stops you from pipping higher and getting a higher chance of sweaty swf squadies which are unfun and stressful. It helps keep the game atmosphere frinedly and chill.
You unpipped, whatever. You weren't trying your best, you were having fun and typically you'll even out or get a ruthless if you mess about as a killer and expirement most of the time rather than sweating an intense mood. Settle on a rank you're comfortable as and where the games are more chill for you, this is especially more true for MMR. Right now you can choose what type of games you want.
By letting one or two survivors go most of the time the end game chat will grateful and nicer-most of the time- which keeps the mood light. You also can rest easy knowing that you're telling the MMR. I don't want intense sweaty highly competitive rank climbing games.
Rank is an illusion. You get nothing from climbing to it tops anyway.
It's true that the pip system is wildly inconsistent and doesn't seem related to points in the 4 categories.

Just got as it used to work last year. But I didnt think it was a bug, i thought they buffed it. If lost some usage, its like 10% of it. Still a very strong and effective perk. Most gen are back to repaired before reaching 0.
This causes a confusion, though. Sometimes you can think someone is repairing the gen and you lost the yellow aura. So you get there and find nothing... LOL
Sometimes you will find a gen in progression, sometimes just a standing at zero gen.
Not a big problem. Fair for some counter by the survivors to this perk, that otherwise is a counter-proof localization perk.
Anything that wastes your time as a killer is a big problem.

Realize that you have already lost when the game starts and that it is the survivors game to lose. If they split up and hold m1 and you are just using a walking killer GG game over. If they do this with coms and organize hook saves, even bigger GG.
There is only 3 killers that can handle these groups, and een then you just make a single mistake and it is over
I wish this weren't true.

I always get stressed when I play killer, and end up depipping from my own stress, which leads to more stress, and it's an endless cycle. I wish I could just turn off the ranking system and play without effecting it.
I don't know what to say really. The MM gets worse the higher rank you get so the games get less and less fun as they become more and more sweaty. Every game is an SWF, literally every single one, it's either 2 x 2, 3x and a solo or a full 4 man. Everyone has the same 5 or 6 perks.
I'm currently at rank 3 killer and am playing survivor a hell of a lot more now, you cannot play a killer you're inexperienced or not good with, you cannot play anything different to test builds, you'll just get bullied like you're a Home Alone villain, and is very likely to happen if you are playing something you're at least competent with.
Even the worst survivor game is 10x more laid back, no matter how much you ######### up there are 3 other people, your impact is very limited in comparison, and it's very easy to dip in and out of matches.
We can only hope the MMR based MM will eventually be good, but I doubt it.

2.5 years of continous playing and the anniversary gave me the push to get all the killers to level 50 (haven't gotten them all perks on each though yet) with the new content my friends were thinking of playing the game themselves after seeing how i played with some of my killers with my perks. I told them itd probably take months for them to even get in a good area though with how the grind is now adays especially with another killer and survivor soon hitting the game. Idk the exact math to do everything in this game but i know its insane. Even if i just go to the survivors and rush for the 4 meta perks and just level just the killers. Its also asking the question if its even worth it (on the survivor side more than the killer side) because you have survivors like steve and quentin which you level them up and theres no real use to their perks so you don't really get your bp worth on them. Prestiging is pretty much a waste since your trippling your grind (which is why i refuse to do it). Killer side i guess the grind is kinda worth it because your getting different killers with different powers but i doubt claurophobias gonna be useful on michael myers or distressing on deathslinger. If you were asked what they could do to lessen it what would you decide? The most suggested one is to just remove tiers because survivors/killers will get the perks maxed anyway in no time and just makes it unnecessary. We do have the shrine but then your just sitting around waiting for the week a perk finally comes. Like i got 2 of neas perks through the shrine so far just waiting for streetwise (have been for a while). Just alittle vent and feeling bad for my friends since they don't know what their getting into with this game.
I got the game during the anniversary event in late June. I have over 500 hours at this point (yes, that is more than a full time job) and don't have all perks unlocked, nor all the perks I do have unlocked on even a single character. To be fair, I did PR3 Claudette and Trapper and some of the perks I avoided specifically because it dilutes the blood pool with their uselessness, needlessly increasing an already absolutely ridiculous grind.
Frankly, unless your friends have no other hobbies and haven't left their homes for 6+ months like me, I wouldn't recommend it. If you were only unlocking perks from the Shrine, I could understand, although not condone it. But, the fact that I purchased all available DLC when I bought the game, I thought I would have all the perks available day 1 and not put behind hundreds/thousands of hours of bullshit grinding.
Add to that the fact that the higher rank you get the less fun the games are, and they're unlikely to stick around.
Solo queue/Killer YMMV.

For a Hex perk, its strength is fairly low. 16 m isn't really much at all. The survivor is almost able to run 16 m in the time it takes for you to recover from a hit, so they would be out of that range shortly after you have recovered. It also only blocks pallets, so they still have access to windows to stall for the 15 seconds of pallet blocking. Its effect seems so minor yet it's a Hex perk, which lets it be cleansed. It could easily get no value in the time in the time it has before it is cleansed. I only see this perk being useful on specific maps where there is an upstairs and downstairs or when there are multiple survivors nearby.
My question is, is this going to trigger fast enough to stop the pallets where I land a hit and/or get a down, and get stunned anyway, because that's extremely common. Still this just seems like a variation of Enduring, and not as good, since it has a cooldown AND a totem.

I deeply regret letting myself get sucked into that overwhelming meaningless grind. I have wasted so many bloodpoints simply in the pursuit of trying to max out every single character I own that it has sapped all the fun from the game for me. Before It gave me a sense of accomplishment. I wanted to be like a lot of the streamers that I see who have every character maxed out. The completionist in me wanted to obtain everything. However, I don't play the game anywhere near close to full time streamers and at the rate the devs release new killers and survivors I would have to play this game non-stop to max everything out which I simply cannot do.
I wish there was a function where I could give up my Prestige for the bloodpoints I wasted in obtaining it. It just was not worth it and made the game 3x more grindy than it should have been for cosmetics that I don't even use.
To all the players that may be new and wondering if its worth it. Its not. Don't go down this road unless you want misery and suffering. Only character worth getting to P3 is Claudette since her outfit gives you a very good stealth advantage. Other than that Its a massive time sink with no reward unless you play this game like a full time job.
I don't even have all perks unlocked and have no one with full perk sets, but I have a PR3 Claudette/Trapper that's it. Trapper because he's unplayable without add-ons, the amount of bonus you get is extremely minimal though. I still might PR some killers that I want bloody weapons for but yea, no rush, I will likely never see Otz's 4K hours much less Fungoose's 8K.

I personally don't have a problem with pc matches. There's toxic players on every game, it's a small percentage though. Don't let it ruin your experience.
This is because all players are people and all people have the capacity to be "toxic".

You have some good points and some less so.
"Also when I purchase auric cells and buy cosmetics with my money I expect to get the outfit as is, but some outfits have been reworked or brightened due to Killer feedbacks of not finding survivors. I feel that is Illegal , i am not renting a cosmetic, I am buying to own , my personal purchase with my money."
Did you actually spend money on blendette skins?
His whole post is extremely biased garbage, but you did pick out the best part, complaining they bought something expecting it to be P2W and then it wasn't. LOL

Tried some shackles. Thanks for the suggestion. Hilarious.

Open chests
Get chased by the killer
Get a safe unhook/Heal
Take a protection hit
Get chased by the killer again
Open the gate
Also, totems are more BP per/sec than gens. I see Prove Thyself listed but not We're Gonna Live Forever. Granted WGLF doesn't do anything but add BP gains, but it adds them in all categories, basically like a streamers BP offering if you can get enough unhook/protection stacks.

As a Killer, I perfectly understand every single thing I do and why. Smashing generators, stalking and chasing survivors, it all directly helps me.
But as a Survivor, the only things that directly help me are perhaps unhooking my teammates but MORE importantly, fixing generators and cleansing all Totems. What else should I be doing and, how can it possibly help me/what is the purpose of it?
Asking because I've had SEVERELY drawn out games of Survivor with low as Hell bloodpoints.
BP gains are too low in general. The game punishes stealth. There are 4 categories. You are expected to get chased, get hit, get hooked, heal, but not die.
