It should also be noted that the tome 4 challenges you saw are likely to change by the time tome 4 is actually released.
-
That would be pretty cool and would further incentivize players to branch out into characters that they normally would ignore. Personally, I get enough BPs from my matches, so the BPs alone dont really matter much to me. I typically only do my dailys by accident, picking to use a killer and at the end seeing I just happened to have a daily that I didnt notice for them. If they gave out rift fragments...I might just keep up with them, lol.

You've just argued against yourself. You said that any killer a good player picks will over-perform, then immediately said that Leatherface can't over-perform. You can even go to a more extreme example and take the Hillbilly. The Hillbilly is still subject to pallets and windows. You get hit when you're out of position. His chainsaw limits his control. There's stuff that an equally good survivor can do to avoid going down if they outplay the killer. The better player has a chance to come out on top.
Way to shift attention away from Bubba, we dont need people realizing how OP he is.

So I can get cussed out and get called a tunneling noob by people of ALL languages, lol.

Except it doesn't really override ds since you can still get hit with it with the first hook and sabo squads are rare
I was just giving examples on when it would POSSIBLY be beneficial instead of just a cool animation. Personally, If it was just a cool animation and not a busted offering, i'd be more inclined to use them more often. Atm, they just fill my bloodwebs and I see them as useless garbage that I'm sometimes forced to buy because the entity took the 3000 BP mist offering Id rather buy instead.

Yeah kinda was I worded it wrong, wasn't fully trying to attack just that spirit is easier to deal with than people think, not many people has really given it a try
The whole point I was making was that chases last longer than 20 seconds, if nothing else than due to the speed boost and attack cooldown. You could put a golfball on the W key and have a chase last longer than 20 seconds against most killers. Im not even talking skill here. Theres only a handful of killers that can best the insane playstyle that is the golfball for a chase lasting under 20 seconds, lol.
The person I was talking to was trying to claim chases on average are 20 seconds...

That's a really dumb idea for mori since you could just hook them if they are already death hook
Thats kinda the point. Youd still be able to see the cool animations without it drastically affecting the outcome of the match. The only things it would really affect matchwise is being able to bypass DS or instances where hooks arnt available nearby.

Spirit can not do this if you play against her right, can't hit what you can't see, can find them either, spirit weaknesses are windows and Stealth vaults, when she uses her powers, otherwise it's a normal easy chase, honestly the only time she is an issue is at a gen, unless you use spine chill then off you go GG 2 EZ
Ok, cool. My whole point was that chases last longer than 20 seconds, with certain killers and situations being outliers. If you want to agree with me that chases do infact last longer...cool.

I can see the trailer now egc activates survivors screaming in basement Bruce grabs the kitana and heads down to stop the filthy camping going ons.
New perks:
Lucky watch- you are able to perform acts of boldness more quicker if you are in the killer terror radius.
-you know what my father went through to give me that watch?
Hit and run- when you stun the killer you are able to gain a speed boost that causes exhaustion.
The right tool for the job- if you are holding a item you gain tokens for acts of altruism. After you gain 8 tokens your item fully replenishes
-Insidious Bubba starts to sweat-

He done multiple test and he didn't even use the strongest add ons. I'm also talking about if a person uses a strong killer and play optimal with it. They can always or usually expect chases to be 34 seconds or less.
Your missing the point...As I already said in my post before... certain killers CAN land multiple hits back to back. I even already stated Spirit was one of those. Huntress doesnt have to deal with attack cooldowns with hatchets, nor is the distance an issue. Spirit can close that distance VERY quickly with her 176% phasing movement speed. These are not the normal... Even in the video your quoting here, the absolute fastest chase was 20 seconds...using a killer who can bridge the gap faster than normal. So that 20 seconds wasnt even the normal in the spirit demonstration.

20 seconds chase when your are an optimal killer is normal. Obviously don't take my words but look at Scott Jund recent spirit video in which towards the end of the video he said the shortest chase was "20 seconds " and the average chase time was "34" seconds because he done multiple chase time with a surivior. Also take into consideration that Scott Jund said the person he was in a chase with is one of the best surivior in the game.
I don't need to do my math to explain why killers such as Nurse, Huntress and e.t.c can finish chase in 20 seconds or less if used correctly. The animation would also take 3 seconds and because the killers are design to hit suriviors at long distance you know what that means.
In that same video, scott was saying that that was ridiculous... This is by far not the average or normal. The entire video was to prove the point of Spirit was overperforming, so using his stats that he presented to show that end...as the average chase for any killer...

Would be incredible. Camp Crystal Lake map, and giving him a unique power. What would it be? Would they take one of his powers from the actual F13 game? Or would they give him some sort of rage ability? I get excited thinking about his power and the general aesthetic of having him in the game, but sadly that lawsuit pretty much boned all Jason fans around the world.
I think it would be cool to use his mist walker ability from Mortal kombat 10. Can never really feel safe without the chance of Jason just walking around the corner.

Yup...obviously the only explanation.

That depends on the killer and if the killer doesn't sneak up on them.
Not really. While Spirit or Huntress might be able to land 2 hits back to back, simply holding W during the speed boost you get from being hit and the killer going into the hit cooldown animation will cause you to get enough distance to make the chase last abit. A 20 second chase is by far NOT the normal, and typically is only caused by the survivor running into the killer.

"Also I’m pretty sure it would be nearly impossible for the alchemist or rando to grab it in the entity’s world because the end game collapse proves that the entity deconstructs every memory once the trial ends to save space."
I'd argue this could be a possibility but due to things like chests in the trials I doubt that someone couldn't take it.
The Entity can recreate areas from memories of those NOT participating in the trial. That's how we can have a match in Badham without Freddy or Quintin for example.

There will be no game if people don't play survivor as well.
Why are you guys assuming that every killer will be nerfed in the first place? People don't really have much problems with other killers. Nurse was more powerful than spirit but people still complained about spirit a lot more because people hate going against her. Nobody wants killers to be trash.
One thing I started doing for the luls is typing in (insert killer name here) is OP in a good search. You can find complaints about EVERY killer, and reading ppl complaining about Bubba being too OP is funny.
-
Im not really having these problems. Feel like both sides played plenty, so your chances of getting good opponents is pretty even. I've been playing alot of Bubba these last few days, and realized... Ranking up as Bubba is a pain, lol. Even games where I absolutely slaughter, I black pip or BARELY pip because I chainsawed too much.

This forum never ceases to amaze me. 12 minute jukes on average. Where 6 minutes is the average of the worst juker.
Jeez. Pure Comedy Gold. Please "keep it up".
Btw. if you 3 gen rushers "gen rush", why does your "runner" have to juke the killer for 12 minutes on average, if gens can be done in 3 minutes? Just asking for a friend.
The SWF group is expert jukers, but really sucks at those skillchecks.
-
@Zoldyar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/103252/survivors-are-over-performing
Gens can be done in 400 seconds if the killer does make to stop a surivior from gen rushing.
If you are a killer that can end chases quickly, a game can go quicker than a surivior gen rushing.
Moreover, Nurse hasn't been ruined at all. The only problem is the dedicated servers which creates bugs using nurse. Other then that, Nurse is fine if you already know how to use her.
Furthermore, killers such as Nurse, Spirit, Demogorgon, Hibilly, Freddy, ghost face and hag are all killers that can win games even if a surivior gen rush them. This is because they can put map pressure to prevent suriviors from doing gens and can end chases quickly.
Look at it like this, for a surivior to play optimal, a killer should also be playing optimital as well. For example, if a surivior can finish gens quickly, then a killer is expected to end chases quickly such as them lasting 20 seconds or less. Killers can also slug to help make a comeback and win games even if they is just one gen left. Gen time is ridiculous, but the speed in which a killer can finish game can be faster than gen time, so what does that say?
While I'm not one to whine about OP survivors or any of that... For most of the cast, it takes significantly longer than 20 seconds to down a healthy survivor if they run at all. If a survivor just holds W, the chase will last longer than 20 seconds, lol.
-
I just stick to "GGs" unless I actually wanna have a chill chat with ppl who are chill back. When the game instantly ends because someone didnt load in however, I'll have abit of fun with it...

So wait, Surge regresses the gen by 8% not 18%? So many people keep telling me it's 18% and yet in-game it never felt that way.
Asking because I've thought about testing out Surge on some killers, but I'm not confident about the regression numbers.
From my understand, its 8%. If it was 18%, I wouldnt really have anytimes when a survivor managed to finish a gen anyways while Im hooking my downed survivor. Typically this is the reason why I'll check the area and maybe start a new chase before hooking.

From a survivor perspective Surge has been a bit of a joke to me. Normally when it procs I'm still on the gen and see that the regression did barely anything.
Its true that the immediate regression doesnt do much. Its the equivalent of 6.5 seconds of normal speed repair time. The fact that it popped at all however can be enough to get the killers attention that the gen has been worked on. With that info, the killer could then check the area and either see a sparking gen or if they see a non-sparking gen...know your in the area. This perk is abit of a hybrid perk in that its both a slowdown perk as well as a tracking perk.
-
@Bleediss said:
Well, given how many killer mains don't kick a generator unless they have Pop because it's a waste of time, yeah it should have a higher impact. It's a bit silly right now survivors can tap a gen mid-chase and be completely fine.
That right there is one reason they dont. There's no reason to waste time kicking a gen if you think someone is gonna tap it 5 seconds after you leave. Pop makes it so kicking the gen has an ACTUAL impact. I've also had some luck using Surge too since you start regressing gens without wasting time kicking em.
-
Typically its just easier to go after the other person. You run less of a chance of getting hit by a DS. The best thing wouldve been to down the guy before the heal was done, and then take care of any others in the area. As it stands, you understandably hit into a crowd of survivors and injured the freshly unhooked guy. They probably shouldve been healing at a safer area or seen you coming back if they wanna stand out in the open. All in all, you really didnt do anything wrong given that they did finish the heal and chasing the one you hit was your best choice. Just keep a DS timer in mind.
-
I dont really have alot of these problems since I take it upon myself to mix things up. I can swap between MANY killers to play as, and survivor is just a part of my gameplay, not the whole thing. I also dont feel too pressured to use any particular perks or killers, so I'm not one of those that feel like they HAVE to use XYZ killer to do well at high ranks.
-

Its usually pretty easy. I can typically just slide against the tractor onto the hay barrel without even having to lunge, and then lunge from the hay barrel onto the chute to hit the survivor.

Well that's a first ?
On that topic, honestly should be able to load into a custom game with any amount and configuration of players. Want to go in alone as a survivor just to practice something? Maybe go in as 2 survivors to give a new friend a crash course? Or perhaps want to go in as Nurse on a map you struggle on to practice blinks, or learn what you can throw hatchets over as huntress? All of it should be possible if you ask me.
That would be nice. I wish there was an obstacle course or something for solo practice like Overwatch has. Being able to start a custom game alone though would more or less give you that.

no just no that means he would become top tier
you could just walk up to a survivor active meaning no slow down not giving survivors time to jump a window or drop a pallet
id say keep the charge time but dont slow bubba down so survivors can atleast try to get somewhere
Hed still have the same exact slowdown and charge time, Im simply more or less suggesting a change in buttons. Currently it takes 2.1 seconds to charge, meaning you have to hold the button for 2.1 seconds. Alot of times, Ill let go after 2 seconds thinking its charged just for it to do nothing. With my idea, you could just push the button, it still takes 2.1 seconds to charge, but uses the chainsaw immediately after it finishes.
-

They could just make it like Billy's saw (not sure why they didn't in the first place) so it automatically goes when it's full bar

I'm definitely trying those together now, thanks! ?
Fortunately Huntress isn't dependant on add-ons at all, so it's not really gonna affect your game using add-ons that offer minimal aid. The exhaustion add-on is pretty handy to avoid dead hard, and the charge speed add-ons are REALLY nice, but I advice not getting too use to using them.
-
It's not too shabby if you wanna combine it for Oak shaft to get fast melee hits after a close hatchet.
-
The status effect slows them by a set amount, while the perks speed them up by a set amount. Your probably not noticing the difference due to that add-on having a VERY small effect (I think 3%). The difference between moving at 150% and 147% will probably be hard to notice.
