First off, caps lock. Second, the reason they dont do that is exactly what you just said. They dont want people to have the power to pick who they go up against. Besides avoiding lobby dodging, this would also heavily influence survivor loadouts. The killer is gonna be a hag? Bring a flashlight.

Yeah, it is pretty balanced. Which is why I wonder why they DCed.
They DC as soon as they saw the addons, so no time to see the perks. Its funny though that in one of those pictures, one of the survivors tried to really stick to their guns and complained about surge of all things...Dude is using OoO, but my surge is a problem, lol.

It typically gives you the same info as BBQ would, except survivors are less likely to counter it. BBQ DOES give bonus BP though, so if I had to pick between the 2 for the same role...

I wasn't asking for every word to be filtered out. I was referring to the words that will get someone banned. "ggez" isn't one of them.
People would just type it odd to avoid the filter. Use a 1 instead of a I and such. The same meaning still gets through.

I think my build is pretty well balanced. Has abit of tracking, and abit of chase potential.

Gotta love it, eh? People who buy the game just to not even play it then complain. Sorry you and other Freddys have to go through this.
*pat pat*
All of these screenshots are from matches where 3 ppl DC within 15 seconds. The last got hatch of course.

In R6, this went poorly as people started asking for others to answer "What is Eric Cartman's super hero name in southpark: Fractured but whole" and answering it resulted in a ban
I don't want it still
Dont forget Overwatch trying to police anyone who says "Winnie the pooh". People would ask who Tigger's friend is, and anyone who answered...immediate ban.

Oh definitely, didn't mean to make it sound like every Freddy uses that build. I've run into a couple though since the rework, but more with normal builds. When I play Freddy I usually don't have anyone DC, but I'm not a Freddy main, I play a variety of killers, mostly Pig and Bunny Momma. When I play surv I haven't noticed people DCing more against Freddy than any other killer. It usually doesn't take long to see if you're going against a Forever Freddy. Usually you can tell from the very first hook. If you're affected by both Remember Me and Thana and slowdown addons then the probability of him having Pop and BBQ is pretty high.?
I do not condone of DCing because of a specific killer or build, but I somewhat get why some people do it and I'm guilty of having done it myself a few times.
Im getting a collection...

Forcing the devs to face rank 1s wouldn't actually prove anything. You could have the devs face a rank 1 Legion, and it would just make Legion look OP..

That would be cool too, I’d also like the stairs for the main entry that goes upstairs to be similar to the semi curved temple stairs but open and not walled in. I also like the stairs plan for the circus map. Prenn? Just stairs that are wider since it’s a mansion is cool. Iron work stairs I also approve.
For ironworks, it has multiple spots to drop off as well as a sort of catwalk. Thats what I was thinking of.

stairs similar to the stairs you see at shack basement but in reverse instead of going down stairs you go up. Which would give them two “basement“ spawn points
You could have dropdowns similar to the game map as well in alot of these rooms. Broken floor boards can allow for escape routes. With the stairs... What if they had similar stairs to the ironworks building?

I don't know how it would work - houses have lots of doors and rooms (dead ends).
A map has to flow so even if they made one it probably wouldn't feel like a house?
It being decrepit could explain away some broken walls that could be used for vault locations.

The most common killers I see played these days are Freddy, Huntress, Trapper, Spirit, Plague, Ghost Face, Myers. In about that order.
This just makes me feel like a hipster. Been a Freddy main for a year now. I remember right after his rework, seeing PLENTY of ppl using Freddy profile pictures all of a sudden

Whatever killer you're most comfortable with. I've seen really good gameplay from "low tier" killers by players that main them.

I disagree with this sentiment that's becoming increasingly common. The only situation in which DS should be deactivated is when they enter a locker. Or make it simpler: Grab interactions don't trigger DS. Easy.
Had a case afew weeks ago where I went to hook someone, just for a Bill to go for the unhook as soon as the animation finished. Went ahead and started Bubbas chainsaw and downed em both. Picked up the Bill...and got a DS...cuz you know, i tunneled him and he didnt follow me at all. If someone is doing an objective action, like cleansing totems, fixing gens or unhooking teammates...theyre clearly not being tunneled.

-
Hallowed blight 2018 was just full of farming teams who had no interest in actually playing the game. Theyd collect their serum and often find the killer to suicide.
-
@JawsIsTheNextKiller said:
I'd prefer to be hit with a double-length stun but halve the perks active time to 30 seconds. That way it would be closer to an anti-tunnel perk.
The emblem system keeps good players at worse levels than they deserve and will lead to them getting easier games that then leads to even more efficient kills. The double-pip would be best handed to to players that manage to kill everyone immediately rather than the players that 3 hook everyone.
If a Hillybilly can take down an entire team in three minutes, he probably deserves two pips to help him rank up to where he belongs. Not zero pips.
Once again I'll pull this out...
This is what happens when you get a 4k with 5 gens remaining in 2 minutes without camping. Guess I shouldve done better, lol.

It's not really a complaint. It's an argument I'm using to prove that survivors who want to do gens as fast they can to end the game as fast as possible don't care about bp as much as they care about getting out of there or "stomping the killer".
Edit: And why do you call me a killer anyway? I'm not a killer main. I play both sides and I have more hours as survivor.
Its just what ppl say on here. With 95% of my time on killer, I was called a survivor main not too long ago by telling a guy that him chucking hatchets at a hook is still infact tunneling, no matter how far away he stands.

Maybe have it only be a thing during a chase? So survivors can still run around the map when searching for generators?
Wouldn't this just end up similar to have increasing amounts of bloodlust that never goes down, even when the killer is hitting the survivor? It would be SUPER easy hitting a survivor moving at 85% speed twice.

well i mean if all windows were brought down to around the strength of L/T wall windows, then wouldnt it be fine?
You'd have a hard time doing that. Even most jungle gyms are only actually playable because the survivor doesn't WANT to jump back and forth the window vault until it entity blocks. Those blockers encourage smart usage of windows instead of ppl litterally camping them.
-
@Auron471 said:
So as far as im aware, the devs plan to trash bloodlust once all of the maps get reworked, (which will take years imo). But what about entity window blocking? once all of the op windows are removed like that one in the farm maps (i forgot what the building was called, but it has a guaranteed gen), will entity window blocking be removed too?
I hope it will be removed if all op windows are removed.
Entity blockers will still be needed. Many windows are relatively safe, in that a survivor COULD stay at the window and jump back and forth faster than a killer can get to the other side or mindgame it. The reworked Badham for example, while amazing... Still relies on entity blockers. The small window vault guaranteed to spawn in the white fence infront of the entrance for example, would be an infinite if survivors were allowed to vault back and forth indefinitely.

They typically remember they're suppose to chase YOU, lol. Im the same way... Can't run to save my life, unless it's one of the super easy structures like ironworks. I typically just try to stealth.

Don't get me wrong, I go off-meta too. But sometimes people don't appreciate it.
I don't think everybody cheers when some random survivor has No Mither on their team, lol. At least not any survivor.
None of these challenges are telling people to run no-mither though. This is not happening is not a handicap. Heck, the perk I swapped it out for that was on my usual build was fixated, lol. If anything, using this is not happening made gens go even faster than usual. I do kinda wish you asked me how often I run brutal strength though. Been using that on Clown lately, then I saw the challenge and laughed.

Tell me when was the last time you saw someone run "This is Not Happening" before the Rift opened up?
I'll wait while you collect your thoughts, lol.
Running off meta perks isnt the same as screwing around. Since Ive been running iron will alot lately, I actually went for way more great skillchecks than I normally do on that game. Ended up with 4 escapes. If the challenges were just abunch of things like "Point at the killer 37 times", id get it... But when the challenge is just telling you to use a perk or a character your not use to... Thats not the same as throwing the game.

Yeah i know sometimes stealth is hard because its a big open map or what not, i just personally dont see it if at all maybe platform and rank can change that though :)
I have an ongoing joke of "Operation:Hide like a #########". Spinechill, fixated, ironwill and bond is my current setup. Much of the game comes down to being able to outplay the other guy. If your not getting any queues on whats going on, its just not possible to react (many of the queues that people suggest are either false information, or hidden if the killer picks a different cosmetic). Spinechill lets me avoid alot of chases, but its pretty much impossible to actually have a roll in outplaying the killer when you actually get found. People like to think they have a role in the chase, instead of it just coming down to hoping the killer misses.

No i know i just mean to be more stealthy than they normally are if that makes sense? A lot of players WANT to be chased they wanna find the killer ive seen some people go a whole game before without being seen by the killer at all in some cases though, with unhooking going on gens popping. I havent seen that kind of stealth in a while now though. Because the game is all about looping now not as much on the stealth
I tend to try that, but like I said...its not always possible. Stealth is plan A, but you gotta have the possibility of running away as plan B if the killer decided to look at the gen thats out in the open. Maps like Blood lodge have way to much area with insufficient hiding spots. Watched a streamer earlier than mainly plays Piggy like 95% of the time completely butcher a team of red ranks with no addons and only shadowborn for perks on that map when he decided to have an odd game with Spirit.
-
@OswinOsgood said:
I think one of the counters to spirit would be if survivors played stealthy and tried to hide which NO ONE these days does these days everyone wants to get chased and loop forever, they dont want to do gens i think thats the real issue. The fact they would have to play in a "boring way" to have a chance against spirit is possibly why they dont like her?
Despite the fact she doesnt give a ton of feedback in what exactly is happening is she or isnt she phasing for example. I find that kind of fun though not knowing whats going to happen it could be different every time.
While I myself like being stealthy, hiding isnt always an option. If someone goes down, someone else is gonna have to go for the unhook. If that hook happens to be in the open, your gonna have to suck it up. Many gens are likewise...out in the open. Beyond that, we also have to actually do the objective. The more gens get done, the less possible places there are for survivors to be and still be productive.

I will never understand why people get so triggered by butt dancing.
Me? Many times I have let the killer just whack me and kill me/hook me if I felt he had a bad game. Maybe some people just have some pride and don't want freebies, I dunno. Well, just hook him no big deal. It's just an extra 5k BP.
I only really want freebies when I'm doing a quest or ritual that's tough, like opening the exit gates. Sometimes I come across nice killers who let me finish it when I been failing for the past ten missions to open the gate.
Just reminds me of a clip I saw once of a Myers whip out a T3 and tomestone a buttdancing claudette.

Just had a killer let us leave, only to slug me and my teammate as we were heading out. For my teammate... she picked up and pulled closer to the exit. For me...cypress mori, lol.

That's some luck you have there.
I run plunderers all the time but the actual key pull rate for me is closer to 25% rather than 100% every game like you are experiencing. Do note that I've been running Plunder builds for over a year and this is my estimate based on running Plunderer's long term.
Felt like I was just goodluck with it earlier. Was in a SWF and 2 of the guys used offerings for extra chests for me, so I just went around and pulled keys, pink maps, commodius toolboxes, ect.
-
Ive actually seen some streamers who already have over half of it done, lol.
-
Besides the crow challenge, most of these are things that youd be doing each game so far. I'm not gonna get mad at my teammates for doing other things like healing or unhooking. I guess you MIGHT get mad if people are trying to open abunch of chests, but... Those chests are very likely to have good stuff in them if the person is using plunderers to do it. The few seconds it takes to open a chest is made up for when they grab a commodious tool box out of it, even more so if theyre using ace in the hole.
-
Been doing the chest challenges for both mine and my GFs accounts using plunderers. Ive gotten a purple or red key every game...lol

I am a gamer who only plays one game at a time. I don’t know why, but I get a favorite multiplayer game, and I will play it for months or even years. However, I used to make one exception. During October, I would drop my current game and go back to play Team Fortress 2 for their Scream Fortress Halloween event. My suggestion is based on some of their events.
Pick a map for the event and spookify it. Pumpkins, scarecrows, spiderwebs, whatever. Do it up. Add map offerings for it in the bloodweb.
The game starts as normal, except all survivors start with unlimited Halloween flashlights. After a short time, an alarm sounds. Survivors are unhooked, gens partially completed are reset to zero, killers cannot harm survivors.
Soon, a boss spawns in the middle of the map.
Survivors can stun the boss or it’s adds with flashlights, to let the killer damage it. If someone dies, they respawn in the basement and have to run back to the fight. After a certain amount of time, the boss leaves, and the game continues.
After a few minutes, the boss comes back. If you can kill the boss before it leaves completely, both killers and survivors get rewards at the end of the match.
You could also have the adds drop rewards right there during the game, so even if you “lose” you get something.
Cooperative events tend to work much better and end up more fun for all involved.
That could be a fun thing to do for an alternate game mode, similar to how Overwatch separates their holiday game modes from the normal ones.

@LordGlint That's totally not what I experienced. I actually didn't have survivors that just suicided to get faster into matches with more flowers. There also was the mechanic that you would loose progress on you viles, if you died.
Are you sure that is what you experienced during the flowers event. Or is that maybe just what you think would happen with such kind of event. Or was it your strat?
No offense intended. I just had an experience that completely differs from what you describe here.
I started right before the event happened, so that event was pretty much my first experience with this game as killer. Survivors would lose progress to the "checkpoints" on the vials, but thats about it. I had PLENTY of survivors who would find me and point at hooks, then suicide.
-
It really all comes down to exactly how its done imo. The lanterns were a good example of how to have a side objective without taking away from the core gameplay. Players were rewarded for finishing the game. The flowers on the other hand... players were rewarded for farming. People would load into the match, farm flowers... then find the killer to hook suicide and repeat.
-
It really depends on the time of month. Given enough time, even complete potatoes can get decently far in the rankings.
