  • Funny this, a friend and I tried survivor on the weekend and it was mostly okay rank 13 being our highest killer difference (we're both around rank 12 as first time playing post reset) but then out of the blue we got a rank 4 killer and 2 rank 4 survivors...what is this? Also it's not like rank matters too much though, that rank 4 killer was no more difficult than some of the rank 13s ( I actually escaped and won chases against the red rank killer and one of the red rank survivors got destroyed)

I've also had purple rank survivors in my team against a rank 13 doctor with one perk and they both died easily/couldn't last a chase for 5s, he wasn't hard tunneling either and we had the strong macmillan coal tower loop...and in the few killer matches I played I could get demolished by a rank 13 squad (rank 15 killer because again reset) but then the next match get some purple and green ranks who were complete potatoes. It makes no sense at all...

  • @TreemanXD Thank you so much 💖 I’ve been practicing small sketches and comics, hoping to make some actual dbd comics and fanart when I get a bit better, for now I’m drawing random things based on comments here and requests on my thread (which I’m hoping to get back to this week/tonight because I’ve been putting it off but feel bad, I’m motivated again now though). It’s a nice way to spend spare time, and I loved shad03’s response above. 😂

It's funny we're talking about scary American food because for my final for my intro to culinary class i had to make my own dish

I chose burgers, wrapped in pizza dough and baked in the oven instead of fried and put on buns, with the cheese replaced with mac and cheese

My teacher said it looked delicious—and to be fair, it was

@No_Mither_No_Problem To be fair that seems good in theory but artery hardening just thinking about it, that shouldn’t even be legal. At least it was baked, not fried, saved some calories years of ones life there 😂

@Shad03 Thank you for this, this is exactly how I pictured it too. Added a Dwight late process so he’s horribly drawn because I realised @Boosted_Dwight offered it. This is what I choose to do with my spare time and I’m okay with that.

  • The above only intensifies the deeper you go into this thread. 😨

  • Ironically Michaels right now. Just started playing survivor again post rank reset and yet to meet one that isn’t a hard camper/slugger (got one every 2nd match even had one rage quit bc a gen got done while he was relentlessly chasing me and failing to even comprehend what stalking was he didn’t even tier 2, and no he wasn’t running a mirror. 😒) . Makes me lose faith in mikeys sometimes. It’s probably just the green ranks though, top tier mikeys are generally a little more respectable... I know it’s also my bad teammates feeding them ew3 leading to those slugging matches but doesn’t make it a fun match when 3 teammates go down and I have to try to save the match...better to just give up and get hooked and move on or do gens alone and wait for the endgame, they aren’t fun matches and no one is going to pip bc they camp between hooks/slugs too.

Dude after that I just said [BAD WORD] it and started playing survivor only to be getting bad teammates, tunneled, proxy camped and killer with bad ping.

    Lord help me!

That’s just the 2 sides of dbd isn’t it? Broken sounds, random SWF and terrible map/totem RNG or bad teammates and dealing with chronic tunneling and camping with the occasional 3 teammates getting slugged... That bubba match on the farm hurt though, I was so rusty with him too and got SWF off the bat I was not ready at all, came back as Freddy with a mori daily and brought the despair, actually had to hold back a little in the Freddy match because I went from pros in the bubba match to potatoes in the Freddy match (one literally hid in a corner for a long time while wounded and in the dream world...just wow)

  • This is really nice, that lineart is super clean 💖 I like the faded style you went with too.

  • @Poweas said:

Freddy, remember me is quite good for endgame collapse after closing hatch. Bloodwarden is quite OP nowadays with NOED, Fire up is a meme unless u run Brutal Strength.

He's also getting a rework where he might become top tier.

Yeah I agree, OP should maybe wait for the Freddy rework announcement prior to deciding if the sale lasts. If not I’d go Freddy for blood warden but pig has surveillance and MYC. I prefer Freddy’s play style personally but it’s hard to say with a major change coming

  • Yeah I think it’s stuck in rotation lately because I tried to play bubba and Freddy for dailies on Friday, both got cold wind back to back. Played survivor yesterday for a few hours and I can say 60-70% of the matches were on the farm maps.

  • In all seriousness though, pallets are meant to give space, as much as it kills good survivors inside to see them get wasted I guess there’s no real survivor training school in game on “you can actually run this loop up to 2-3 times before throwing it down without getting hit once if you’re not greedy (and are phenomenal at wasting a huntress’ time if used well)” I do get what you mean though, it shouldn’t be happening by red ranks, I was lucky enough to get strong window loops on my maps/games today because I almost expect pallets to be gone by mid game at my post reset ranks.

Also when Myers is stalking them and they drop it UHH i wanna commit die.

No when they drop it while he’s not close, clearly stalking them and they just stand there or start teabagging because they think they’re pro, that’s the kicker, yes just stand in plain view you’re doing your team a great service...

  • @Poweas I don’t know how many would argue that the top tier is not including nurse and spirit but billy has been shown in a lot of cases to be very high rank viable, due to his map pressure and yes with the right addons he’s a nightmare. Hag is an interesting one for me, she’s definitely amazing and versatile and I honestly don’t know which I’d put above which when it comes to hag and billy, I’ve seen really good hags at high ranks but I’ve also seen really good Billy players. Hence why I’m not a fan of tiers, you have to consider though that even if he is an M1 killer, map traversal at will and potentially catching survivors off guard is his thing, hag generally has to wait for a trigger.

I’m not really the one to discuss this though, I’ve played against top rank killers, not as top rank killer. (Only watched gameplay of them because as I said, not that competitive of a killer) So I’d rather say thanks for the discussion but I don’t feel up to the level of debating killer tiers based on experience. I often see Freddy as last on them but I can destroy teams as him up through most ranks (I’ve played him up to 5 solely, which is the most competitive I probably ever got in terms of ranks because I don’t usually care too much), plague, bubba and clown are much worse to me but hey that’s why I don’t debate killer tier lists.

  • Yeah but I’m just saying a mid match Myers is going to be ready with t3 anyway, I rarely stay far off it just in case I get a multi survivor situation and like to plan ahead, this would give a small situational boost but it would be easier to run M&A, distressing, infectious on it’s own. Feels like it would be making up for a poor play on the Myers part. You should always be prepared with your tier 3 and watching it closely and noting survivor behaviours during the match (greedy, over altruistic, immersed etc as you build that power) this will help with when to pop tier 3.

I just feel like I’d avoid this addon because 4 man slug fests are incredibly uninteresting to me (I actually like the chase/hunt/drawing the match out so at max maybe 2) Myers can slug fine now and I feel like if you were in this situation as a Myers you would already be close to if not in t3 in this situation. It’s very situational and unlikely to be of use beyond a fast tier 3 once (15s on certain maps would be interesting and at most you’d get 1) plus would it not stack with tombstones otherwise that may also be horribly OP, you could slug one guy, stalk the altruist and immediately tombstone them and hook your first... ew3 is already a punishment for swarming altruists. Most smart survivors will go immersed and careful until you’re out.

Will be interesting to see what others would think though, I just think the effect can already be achieved with forethought. I rarely experience a situation where I feel I can’t get to ew3 fast/immediately when I need it. If anything the TR is probably the best part for those infectious fright/distressing/M&A builds, imagine the range of that. But in a normal match...not sure. It’s a tough one to see more than situational use out of it where I’m usually stuck alternating between J Myers memorial/dead rabbit or occasionally vanity (or tombstone piece depending on tilt) and dead rabbit. I’d rather have another widely useful addon than a slug build one.

  • Just coming in as a Myers. I don’t really know if I’m a fan of the ew3 immediately stalking someone else after downing one. Purely because this can already happen, most snowballs begin because survivors bunch together and get over altruistic after he has entered tier 3 and already downed someone, so I guess I don’t really see what this would add (especially 15s if activated that way, would it return you to tier 2 base or back to where you were with stalk progress prior to activating it?) Once for 15s seems a little... strange, considering above you can already punish a team by activating ew3 normally and it lasts much longer.

I’d personally like to see some add ons that change the play style like the mirrors do, the shards are okay but kinda underwhelming ( for me at least, prediction alone can be good enough to determine direction of someone you’ve stalked and losing sight of them is difficult anyway it feels like a poor mimic of the huntress glow addon) I just really admire hags add ons when thinking of how you can use multiple add ons to change your power (I.e. body block hag w/ butchers hand, waterlogged shoe for distortion, mint rag for full control and defence, shackles for surprise attacks.) I’d love to see more killer add ons that open up some variety with play style. Just not sure with Myers, his addons are already fairly good.

I’ll leave the clown discussion to someone who plays him more, I play a bit, but not enough to be passionate about his addons/combos. Please let me know if I have misunderstood anything it is fairly late for me here. Thanks for sharing definitely interesting, especially the clown one but I want to see someone who plays him most give their response.

I have potato moments if that counts.

I think everyone has potato moments, I know I sure do. Mostly just end up laughing at my mistakes, everyone still can have those clutch almost pro moments too, dbd is some kind of mix between those two generally for me. Potato sometimes, moments of greatness others.

  • Nice mind games as a killer and downing really strong chase survivors. survivors messing up a loop/chase and jumping/running at you. Nicely timed grabs (difficult to do now sometimes). Pulling off a nice loop then ending it with a pallet stun without getting hit at all (especially against a huntress). Playing against a really skilled killer and winning a chase against them. Opening a gate just in time to save a teammate. Pulling off a moment of intense survivor teamwork (did this today with a killer protecting a hex, took 3 working together to get it and no one was downed after despite it being a bubba) Finally passing the curve of learning a killer and getting consistent kills with them. Hitting 80-90% of a ruin gens hex skill checks in a row (or completing the whole gen of them even more so but more rare) There are a lot.

  • Yeah that adept was the only one I really had to work for, I got it on the disturbed ward map, which is actual pain for a slow stealth killer like Mikey because it’s so open. It was almost tears of joy when I caught the last guy running for the hatch. It was first try but these perks were never ever meant to be run together. I much prefer dying lights effect overall, I didn’t use moris either bc at the time I didn’t have any but was lucky enough to get the obsession early but not early enough to stop hatch spawn. PWYF is basically useless unless using tombstones too...

For the adept I’d say aim for getting STBFL stacks passively (you don’t have to go straight for the obsession, get a few stacks and stalks from the others then you can down the obsession with ew3 when you find them reducing the stacks you lose) and basically ignore PWYF because every attack removes a stack anyway so they disappear fast unless using tombstones and activate dying light asap when you do find the obsession.

  • It isn’t but I’ve found survivors are even more toxic in post game if you do, you generally get salty messages from everyone but the person you let live (even if they were the best on their team) it’s scary how doing something nice as a killer becomes another excuse for survivors abusing them. I rarely give the hatch anymore because of the backlash, if you really want them to have it just turn your back somewhere and let them go inconspicuously.

  • @LordGlint said:

@DBD_Pinhead using dead rabbit with scratched mirror is pointless since the rabbit doesnt affect T1.

They said scratched mirror / (or) vanity mirror with dead rabbit I think (Really hope they meant this otherwise you are 100% correct in your judgement )

Vanity and dead rabbit is a combo and allows tier 2

  • @Poweas That we can agree on, spirit and hag are definitely fun and viable. I’ll still be playing with under top tier, I don’t care too much about tiers because I don’t play competitively (with rank still meaning nothing) had a funny ninja doctor match on Lerys by complete chance last night, was very fun. Even clown can be fun every once in a while.

I’m also not a fan of billy personally, I can see the potential though and I’d definitely play a sneaky billy build if I ever learned him (decreased noise, M&A, tinkerer etc) but that doesn’t make him interesting to me. I’m personally excited for ghost.

  • @Poweas I definitely get it, hag is one of my most played killers. Probably right now for me it’s Myers, Freddy and Hag so I get what you mean but both require a lot of survivor mistakes and planning based on the area by the killer. Still snowballing is a potential thing for both. Like I said she definitely wins in the distance covered snowball, nowhere is safe if they’re running. Myers relies more on survivors making a huge mistake and being relatively close (or infectious fright/distressing/M&A)

No wonder you’re in the not billy gang, guess he’s not a favourite for you if hag and spirit tier above him. To be fair I appreciate a good hag over a billy though, hags are all about planning and teleportation mind games. Makes me wish I had some rusty shackles though, definitely my favourite add on. Have you tried the butchers hand body block hag? I used to know a really good rank 1 hag who used this flawlessly to block loops. I’m pretty sure she paired it with the increased duration phantasm

I didn’t mean it in a bad way, I just thought it was cute because you’re so passionate about her. Hope I didn’t offend.

  • @Hoodedfengm1n this is literally becoming a thread of passing the memer title :’) I just see you all a lot on no mither’s thread

  • @No_Mither_No_Problem you are the meme lord, memes were requested on this thread, the OP is in need of your fresh meme skills

  • @Dwight_Fairfield I clearly stated excessive violence, that was pretty normal for a slasher, but the new one was trying too hard to portray an excessively violent Michael (I cited excessive as the rob zombie nurse scene where he literally stabs her 15 times for no reason, like he hated her guts and she was just a bystander, I mean that kind, gory and overly violent, he honestly did the same to the mechanic just to get his overalls...chill)

The 2018 just really didn’t feel right to me for his character but it’s fine, if you like it that’s great but I just feel that with every iteration we lose the original image of him. I’m not really interested in debating it, it doesn’t measure up to the original 2 movies at all for me personally, I stated why above. What number of kills were done off screen with significance to the story (2nd movie one was absolutely amazing in comparison to 2 dumb cops). What was the point of a majority of them? Why did he go for that first kid when we’ve literally seen him ignore killing people when he didn’t have to (H20 stealing the car at the rest stop scene) What did he do smart, what did he plan, what did he set up? (That cop one was meh, again wow big violent show and the point was? The dumb guy found it and died so it barely mattered anyway) When did we see him lurking or hint at him working in the shadows?

The only thing I liked was the relation to his link with Laurie, hunter and hunted, who is who angle and Laurie becoming the lethal shadow that disappears (I liked that symbolism of the changing of role at that point, she was the hunter) her character was so well done but we got a violent, non planning Michael who fell into the trap of fire and got played hard, so smart.

It was a good movie, it just wasn’t good for mikey’s character is all I’m saying. He felt like a generic side note, a parody of what he was. Which is a trend that has occurred in a few of the earlier movies, hence I generally only really like the first 2 (and H20 to some extent, it was terrible in a lot of ways but I did like that they tried to make an interesting twist at the end.)

Edit: I have apparently split this thread, any down voters care to discuss?

  • @FireHazard yeah I get that, I guess when you have the ability to get them it can be even harder to choose but those pig skins do look amazing, I was considering that leather jacket alone myself.

  • I actually remember that! It was you, wow, you haven’t used them though :’)

  • Ah disappointing people almost forgot that one, thanks for the reminder :’) I appreciate the faith and callout though.

  • @FireHazard Nah, I appreciate the meme but my only abilities are poorly drawn sketches, bad jokes and sass, sorry bro meme isn’t in my skill set

  • @FireHazard I’m considered a memer? I’m not sure if that’s a compliment or not haha @No_Mither_No_Problem and @TreemanXD @Hoodedfengm1n and @Peasant are our meme lords aren’t they? But @NMCKE, well played :’) good save

  • @TheShape78 Exactly, the part I loved most about his character was how we didn't always see him kill extremely violently (with obvious malice I mean like that nurse in the rob zombie remakes that was excessive), he planned, he placed things/bodies in ways to get it all to come together in the end. I loved the second movie in that we never saw Michael kill absolutely everyone in the hospital or slash the tires on the cars but that scene of the silent halls and the entire hospital being empty we know he's been at work, working his way to the final attack on Laurie. I loved how different this was to other slashers, he showed thought and planning, a dedication to the craft. They lost all of this in the 2018 version imo.

We never saw him repeatedly stabbing violently in the originals, he was too present in the recent and his kills meant nothing, they were all random/thoughtless. He was always a work in the background killer working his way to the epic confrontation with Laurie, instead we got what I like to call "Jason Myers" where it's all violent kills and not a brain cell or moment of planning in sight sadly.

They did okay with Laurie but as far as I'm concerned the new movie took away a lot of Michael's character. (James was great and it's cute to see him work with Nick, it was just like they ignored Michael's "style"/character and it became a little more like a traditional generic slasher killer)

Life long Halloween Michael Myers fan and Myers main in DBD here. IThis fits pretty well but I prefer the 1978 version we have now, though I do agree if they added 2018 content, it would be a nice optional chase theme. Lots of people really like the 2018 film, but it just didn't do it for me, so I honestly couldn't care less if they add 2018 content or not. Again, that's coming from a life long fan of the franchise and character . I WOULD like to see other film versions of Myers added though.

@TheShape78 Wow... same. It didn't feel right to me, didn't feel entirely like everything I love about Michael's character/style. I'm so glad someone felt the same way. The original will always be my favourite too but this is a nice option for those who loved the new one or want to mix it up like you mentioned. I did like the suggestion of the blood "tears" mask from the 2nd movie (but RIP vision)

  • I had the same experience while learning her, it seems inconsistent, you can hold the blink for the same time but sometimes on certain parts of the map it just seems that she gets stuck (teleport/stun but no distance). @TreemanXD you played console nurse right? Did you experience this?

  • This is a really cool idea and would actually be a good incentive to add the mask to complete it however am I the only one that feels like the chase/location of the killer feel a little less predictable this way? Not saying that's a bad thing but the music changes currently depending on the stage of the chase (i.e. distant terror radius vs. actual chase, vs. a 3rd condition I know I'm missing) This one does that but is more subdued/less obvious way (maybe it's the audio mix, distance based sound) They would probably fine tune it if it was implemented anyway, probably just looking too into it but it's definitely interesting, nice edit/suggestion. 💖 ( I think I'm just addicted to the original but it is good to see people do like the newer renditions and it would be nice if it was optional - based on what mask you choose)

When i tell people 'Move like a survivor. Use stealth, stay out of Line of Sight' as ways to be more lethal when playing Myers they just drone on and on about map control and his power not being good in a chase. Nice to see that not everyone is completely braindead.

@BigBlackMori Power not good in a chase? His power literally leads to there not even being a chase most times...😂 (and even if you do get in one, vaults are faster and it's not hard to catch someone with an instadown) I personally think the best balance is above w/ stealth and Low TR to get early hits/grabs/stalking to just before tier 3 etc. Then unleashing Ew3 when survivors are in the worst situations (i.e. 2-3 on a gen in a LOS blocked area often identified by discordance)

    What's your general playstyle?

  • @Poweas said:

@Kiskashi ok fair point, but Hag is STILL better. Michael needs to have everyone in an area, Hag can just down people fleeing. He's good, but not Hag tier in snowballing. Definitely second best snowballer in DBD though.

@Poweas Your defence of hag is so cute in this thread 💖, you're literally like NO ONE TALKS SMACK ABOUT MY GIRL. I was joking, I can see hag's potential for a snowball but that's based on if people are injured (or you have H:DH etc) and trigger traps right (you did mention without chase above)? (not thinking shackles or mint here, those do increase the chance) Myers can tier 3 and bait or surprise, regardless of health states. Hag has the distance covered snowball advantage, Myers has the close range/exposed snowball advantage. I think they're both pretty good at snowballing but in slightly different ways.

  • Only 2 seconds, if your chase is longer you have failed, a challenge fit for the no-mither man.

It shouldn't. But I also don't feel Noed or Adrenaline should happen either.

Yes, perfect, 10/10.🤗 If all gens go off sure, if they don't and it's close hatch activated then no, none of these should go off.

  • Depends on the situation, I prefer space in my chases personally, other survivors near me stresses me out and makes me lose focus because I have to make sure we're not sandbagging/blocking each other by accident. If it looks like they need the help do it (especially if injured and actively trying to heal/hide, mess the tracks and run interference if you're in a good gen state (no point throwing yourself at the killer if you've got no gens up), or if it's just a drive by intercept a hit and run off, if they're an adept looper or have been in the chase for a while/first hook etc do gens, they'll probably appreciate it more.

It's a difficult question because it depends on the scenario/point in the match and how adept the survivor is.

  • Snowballing?? Come on that has to go to a Mikey... *looks at comments above on sandbag Nea* Actually no, I withdraw my statement, there's nothing more deadly in a short time than a sandbagging Nea. Well played.

I'm fine with a trade off. The issue is the trade offs generally aren't worth what you're getting.

For your questions yes the tombstone piece is generally the best one and what people run because the ultra-rare ones downside of decreased speed is too extreme and isn't working against any non potato survivors.

I don't know, I tend to avoid the tombstone in general because of how game changing it is and I prefer a build I actually have to work for and have a normal match from so maybe we need a tombstone advocate in here. That's part of the reason I don't like it, the other is the speed of the stalk but that's fair considering once you do get it they're done and can be paired with addons if not doing the infinite.

It's just not as useful in general to me as the tombstone piece, even the fragrant is never used for me past getting the trophy because people hear your TR from a mile away if not using M&A and even with it you don't have the same sneak up and then trigger EW3 versatility to catch them off guard. It's more of an argument that the ultra rares, at least for Mikey, aren't that appealing in general, even if you did move slightly faster with tombstone (which shouldn't be, I can catch people easily even if I mess it up and enter a chase with vanity mirror which is a slight decrease in movement, thinking of this on tombstone w/ Ew3 is just horrifying).

  • You have a strong point that most don't use their ultra rares that commonly, but I don't think it's due to the downsides/negatives. Simple thing is there are better addons at a lower rarity, I personally love class photo as Freddy, that is much more useful than the paint brush etc for me but I just don't know if buffing the ultra rares is a way to make them better to use in comparison to other addons?

I get your point I think, if they are so difficult to get, why can't they feel nicer to use? It is a good point but I just cringe a little at the thought of buffing some of these... but at the same time if they are believed to be rare a match where the killer uses OP addons would be rare... it's a difficult thing to consider...

I think it’s good that they offer a considered risk/reward system, usually having to adjust strategy/playstyle.

I think it’s very healthy for the game for their strengths at the expense of some drawbacks.

Yeah basically this, I don't really have an issue with using judith's tombstone especially if paired with the infinite anyway (which it usually is) plus isn't the tombstone piece the best option if you don't want to deal with decreased speed but want to go on a stabbing spree (given it's very hard/probably not possible to use this to stalk/kill all 4 but lets not bother with that bc that's not the point) (edit: just saw you agreed with this in the OP so feel free to ignore, accept as agreeing with you on that point)

They are super devastating addons, I'm fine with the movement speed on Judith's (I barely even noticed it was a thing if I'm being honest, same with vanity mirror it's not as drastic as you may think, being stuck in tier 1 without doing the meme build is the only true pain - or burger king if you're a masochist)

  • @pootis_Bear I actually looked up reviews out of curiosity of when the movie released and most of them say it's horrifying/scary and cringe all at the same time. I think that's a fair summary. 😂 Not surprising really about the nightmares thing 😧. I've blocked a lot of it out because I was so young when I watched it but I do remember some scenes to this day.
