I’m actually really enjoying the survivor side of the event, it’s so nice to get above 30k for a match for once, double bloodpoint only made this better. Killer side is pretty lacking though, I don’t even notice the hooks really, it’s not as worthwhile. I didn’t bother with the rift, there isn’t any cosmetic or charm I’d really love/want to grind excessively for. It takes ages to get serum but at least it goes for 60+ days...
Challenges were definitely annoying, survivor side mostly, I didn’t mind the killer ones, they were fun/normal gameplay, the survivor ones were just “don’t do gens, go loot chests, scare crows or do totems” etc and everyone is trying to do these at once ASAP, makes a few matches a complete mess. They also really chose this is not happening as a perk to use...but I’m glad you didn’t have to be injured and I just ran stake out with it to guarantee it first try. Can’t wait for the eventual no mither challenge 😂
-
Usually green for killer and purple/red for survivor. Survivor is just because teammates are semi capable (facing the same killers gets boring though) high green/low purple ranks as killer is nice, I don’t have to care too much, just do dailies and chill, never really had interest in sweating it out in red ranks.
-
Ruin, pop, discordance, nurses. Use discordance to get either an early grab or 1-2 marks, nurses to interrupt healing and the other two for gen stalling, pop also works nicely with discordance for choosing a gen with dangerous progression. I use olsen’s address book and telephoto lens purely because I’m trying to adapt to only using yellow addons, it works pretty well, I play both stalk and sneak attack playstyles.

They should have left the way his stealth works tbh.
I main Myers and I can understand the disappointment. Michael Myers is probably one of the most balanced killers because many of the things he is good at, he has to work for or has a downside.
Grabbing people off gens felt good as a killer, and terrifying as a survivor. It wasn’t a “mind game” or a “gamble” it was him at his slowest state and took survivors not looking behind them to get it to work.
While only survivors who have certain perks will affect him, I don’t see how this is necessary at all because as I said he already has a downside.
I just don’t understand this notion from the devs of wanting to make stealth more “linear” when A. he was fine as he was. B. He has less stealth than the Pig and Ghostface because he can’t crouch AND he is way tall.
Michael’s stealth isn’t about “Let me hide behind this barrel”.... He is quiet and makes himself known by standing still. I just hope they stop stripping away these elements of what gives these killers identity and also makes them feel more unique.
I mostly agree with this, I’ve played him since I started near 2 years ago and this is just honestly one of the most unnecessary changes...it makes no sense to say it brings him in line with other stealth killers, pig and Ghostface can both have normal movement speed when detected and can control their stealth to a degree, Michael isn’t even consistent with these to start with. You’re forced to start the match in tier 1 at lower movement speed, non existent lunge, no red stain (again Ghostface and pig can do and better) and low TR (now no TR).
Previously nothing detected him (OoO, spine chill and premonition) which is true to his character, he felt unique and you had to pay attention to breathing and steps. The thing that really bothers me is that now what is the point to tier 1, most are saying just get to tier 2, just stalk, that wastes time, at least previously you could get a potential gen grab/stalk or hit on anyone.
At this point tier 1 is nothing but a hindrance, and honestly I’ve always hated it and run stalking addons to tier up ASAP but this just adds to the disadvantages it has always had while kicking scratched mirror builds in the pants, it’s disappointing when all other stealth killers are supposedly buffed by this change, Michael was never involved to start with and now we’re sold that a smaller TR is equivalent to detection...it makes no sense. Not needing M&A because of the 0 TR is also a poor “buff”, I use M&A for tier 2 with dead rabbit, 6m TR was fine for tier 1. Trading off a little TR for detectable status by perks is not equivalent.
Add to that how boring some of his addons are and changes like this with no real substance, it’s not surprising people are switching to Ghostface and not coming back. I haven’t seen a Myers in months and I used to see them regularly even at red ranks, wonder if that says anything. Even I’m playing Ghostface, pig and spirit more than Michael now, he really needs positive changes, not disguised nerfs to his alternate play styles like this. The no one runs spine chill thing is interesting too, I wonder why I saw so many threads on stealth killers and OoO when apparently no one ran that perk...
I’m not saying this hurts my ability to play him because I always hated tier 1 and try to escape it ASAP and didn’t find scratch mirror fun to play, but this just...why was it necessary? Immunity to detection was his tier 1 ability and near it’s only upside, like it or not.
-
Rarely use it, as others have said if they gain a lot of distance and stop leaving tracks but I usually track by sound anyway. In order of what I use it’s sound, scratchmarks then blood if there’s no other option, tends to work best on concrete maps like the game.
-
More cursed as survivor, last time I put them up got basement bubba and trapper in two back to back matches (different players). As killer, sometimes safer to save them for bp events since you know you’re going to get rushed into the ground during those events anyway.
I don’t get the need to be as horrible as a killer anyway, you can get no kills and get tons of bp with BBQ plus the streamers, survivors basically need that 5k of escape points because of how pitiful the scoring can be, but often get stomped into the ground because the killer gets greedy and slugs, runs strong addons/moris etc, and only get 5000-10000 from those matches.
I get the play it like it’s a normal match thing but whenever streamers or anniversary cakes go up seems like it’s far from a normal match.
-
Umm yeah if it was a ghostface last night I’m sorry, I’ve been using one every second game for fun and photos because I have 15 of them and one appears every second bloodweb, if it’s any consolation I still only mori survivors who are on their last hook (3rd)?? 😅
-
Ghostface, pig and spirit currently, main 3 I can go into a match really comfortable with right now. Used to be a Myers main but got really burnt out so slipped back to only playing him occasionally, also thinking of adding hag back to my mains because she can absolutely wreck a team and her defence is godly plus I miss those beautiful rusty shackles builds.
-
Hitting multiple survivors (especially all 4) with frenzy is still one of the best feelings in the game, vaulting still also means I don’t have to waste a ton of time in areas survivors think are safe. (I.e. killer shack) it’s still a unique power and that little speed boost frenzy gives can make all the difference when it comes to the exit gates.
-
There’s so much positivity here in this thread it was great to read all the perspectives. Reminds me of all the nice times I’ve had in dbd matches and all the great friendly post game chats with killers and survivors. Even recently I had a billy let me go because he realised how bad/close the gate spawns were during the egc, I don’t mind if they just play it out normally but it’s always heartwarming when they do let you go. I also tend to let the last survivor go, especially if they’re at an exit gate/over half way to opening it and played respectfully.
BM survivors are why things like moris and basement hooks exist, at least that’s what they mean for me anyway.
-
Survivors photobombing my ghostface Moris, absolutely love them, I tend to let people who do it escape, or meme/baby Dwights.
As a survivor, head on plays. Nothing funnier than hitting a killer with a well timed head on stun especially if they try to dodge it or fake you out and still get nailed.
-
Just as someone who plays mostly stealth killers it is really not great to have in your match, yes, I understand it can and is used to protect your team and have valuable information, but it often does get you targeted. My most recent example is a Laurie in one of my ghostface matches, I dropped a chase with her after hitting her and letting her get far enough away to stalk a discordance gen, she followed me to break the stalk once OoO told her I had broken the chase.
I couldn’t do much of anything until I had dealt with her the entire match. So I can understand why some people feel OoO gets them tunneled and why some killers hate it regardless of who they’re playing as (if it’s not an insane map pressure killer). I was just lucky she wasn’t on coms (was pretty obvious, I do admire she was going out of her way to protect her team though) and wasn’t a god tier looper.
I’m really glad this perk isn’t popular is all I can say. But when I play other non stealth/non trap based killers it doesn’t bother me, it actually lets me know when they’re on a gen, healing or baiting a chase etc it all just depends on the competency (how good they are with the perk), if it’s a killer that needs the element of surprise, and objective of the OoO user.

Who cares about pips.
The only compensation I want is the number of gens being reduced by 1 for each DC.
Same system as before when survivors DC'd before the match started, only now it applies during the match.
This way at least the remaining survivors will feel like they have a chance to keep going.
I actually like this idea, based on the fact I had a match where someone instantly DC’d as soon as we loaded into a map the other day against a mori instead of saving us the grief and doing it at the loading screen... I don’t mind continuing to play the match as normal but it needs to be achievable. Then again if 2 DC it’s basically over and should just guarantee a safety pip, about the bp bonus, I don’t know, it’s really a waste of everyone’s time when they could be earning bp so it would be nice.
-
I use ruin, BBQ, nurses and PGTW currently, works out really well so far. I also use the duration and speed addons to allow for large map control.
-
Depends how you look at it to be honest, in 1v1 and versatility ghostface wins, in over altruistic/crowd control/team gen rush late game Myers is better. There are situations where 2 people or SWF groups are constantly rushing the last gen/s and Michael can keep up where I know ghostface couldn’t, however there are early game scenarios where I can get momentum fast with ghostface.
I don’t think its ever really been a one better than the other argument, just different strengths and weaknesses.

As a pig main i dont get offended by it as i can slow bag them back 🐖❤️
I do the same and grunt continuously while nodding, I’ve stopped accepting it as a taunt and started to see it as they’re just celebrating winning and I nod at them to show I agree.
When I teabag back as ghostface though they just seem to get confused to be honest, like “hey you’re not supposed to join in we’re trying to taunt you” 😂. It’s usually meant as an insult but I’ve just stopped seeing it as one and not caring anymore. They won’t be so lucky to survive the next match, behind a pallet after a stun is more likely to make me enjoy slapping them into the ground at the speed of sound though. Shows them not to be so cocky when they’re not as good as they think.
I never really do it as survivor though, only time I do it is potentially to try to draw agro from an intense camper tunneler and give my teammates a chance or when the killer was toxic first (I.e. a ghostface last night teabagged me for a while after hitting me down with NOED but I managed to struggle out, escape the chase, and while he closed the hatch I opened a gate and gave him a lil teabag on the way out, he started it to be fair)
-
Adam right now (subject to change), no idea why, I think it’s mostly because he has my favourite perk loadout plus he’s kind of adorable and I run a half healer half running build on him (just wish he had some great customisation). I play most survivors though, it’s nice to change it up. I’ve noticed I basically play everyone at some point except Meg, Claudette and Nea.
-
Piggy, ghostface, spirit, these have become my main 3 right now, playing hag again recently rekindled some love though so might add her soon but piggy won me over with Amanda’s letter + combat straps on Lery’s while trying to get the gen grab trophy, most fun I’ve had as killer in a long time. Been playing her a lot since.

I guess so, never really realised he doesn’t get many good cosmetics at all. I’m using his lunar event one because that one is nice. ❤️

Hey, you dont need to show me your ghostface build, just your killer main build
These ARE my mains and I have no fashion to show off like you cool kids 😭 I don’t even bother with prestige anymore (bc I’m a bit of a filthy casual👍)
(Welcome to “I haven’t touched killer much this season and my builds are pathetically alike because I’m weak for discordance, PGTW and bloodpoints...I mean BBQ.” *shakes fist at that lv 1 BBQ despite being approx lv 70* )

I'm okay with base leatherface but I'm not super fond of the color skins (red and blue) they feel too... Kindergarten-ey if that makes sense. Too pastel? I dunno how to describe it.
I do really dig the red devil though. I intend to replace the mask with his P3 when I get it if I don't eventually give in and get the shiny "Legacy". It's such a gorgeous outfit despite being so counter productive to his playstyle.
Very true, they are weird colour choices with the red and blue, reminds me of that premade generic icing you can get for birthday cakes, it’s literally the same shade and everything, I like the base grey. I’m just kinda waiting for something drastically different with the style of the outfit. That being said I do love the boots, gloves and ribbons on this new one.
-
Eyyy looking fab but I honestly can’t wait for that Kate outfit, it’s the first I’ve fallen in love at first sight with a cosmetic so...I’m going to lose money so fast when that one is released. That may be the best cosmetic to me...
(That entended duration plus spirit fury/enduring tho)
*thinks about showing build but also plays base ghostface because I actually love the design* yeah I’ll leave the being fabulous to you 🤗
-
Yeah, I found this outfit just funny, so many say the devil face outfit is better because it doesn’t have the ribbons (I still play base bc I love them, I don’t even care) but BHVR took that and went let’s just make the ribbons and mask metallic and shiny then. Perfect stealth. It is very lore fitting though.
-
Yes, I’d love a massive stats screen, escapes, sacrifices, times mori’d, time played (console), most played characters (hours), highest kill average with each killer. Not even just stopping at these personal stats either, it’d just be nice to get various choice/average/escape/kill stats at the whole community level.

@Kiskashi I haven't been "wrecked" by BBQ, but I have been in situations where I couldn't find an appropriate counter at the time of it being procced, or been just shy of reaching a locker in time, etc. It doesn't seem like stealth as a survivor is that viable though. BHVR constantly does things to make that gameplay aspect more and more difficult. For example, I can see any survivor easily now, compared to before they brightened everyone's clothes to the point they are practically glow in the dark. It wasn't impossible to see Claudette before tbh, but now I see her all the time. People still hide in corners thinking they can camouflage, but it never works. It used to work OCCASIONALLY, but now it's just like "Did you really think you can do that?". I'm also not complaining about BBQ in general, I do think it WGLF deserves a buff to compensate for BBQ being it's "counter perk", by both showing the killer's aura, and making the condition to gain BP easier, as WGLF is terribly designed. Either that or BBQ needs to be similar to WGLF's difficulty to achieve. Either way, I was just saying that it was one of the biggest offenders of the current war on stealth. You act like I'm saying it's OP or something, which is ridiculous as I made no argument for that.
As for being off topic, in a way it is, in a way it isn't. I was arguing that GhostFace should be just as susceptible to perks as stealth survivors are. They did exist first after all, but they're the ones being made more visible, killers are wanting them to be louder(or the chase music to be lower, so that they can hear them easier), killer aura perks are designed better(BBQ, multiple aura showing addons, Nurse's, etc. The only good survivor aura perks are OoO and Alert really. OoO is strong, but as I said, should be made to only work when both are looking at each other, as it's meant to be a double edged sword).
Yeah and I’m just saying survivors that are really good at stealth don’t seem to have problems with BBQ you called it the main offender I’d argue docs entire power or whispers if I was going to support that argument not BBQ which has a ton of counters.
Sure so a killer who has their entire ability relying on stealth should be on equal stealth as survivors, right. Let’s just agree to disagree.
-
@Atrushan88 said:
@Kiskashi When someone goes down, they're generally far away from me. I also don't know where the hooks are, as I don't see their auras, making it hard to be directly behind a gen of where the killer is. Once they pick someone up, I've stopped seeing that person's aura. Distortion would be the only one, but it's behind a DLC survivor, and imo isn't a very good perk, due to it being only what, 3 times total, whereas BBQ lasts all game?
I’ve very rarely been wrecked by BBQ, start planning in advance, know where lockers are, try to estimate which direction the killer picked up the survivor and the direction they carried them and reposition yourself on the gen, if all else fails run towards the person who is downed, chances are you’ll hear the TR quite a distance away and you don’t even have to be that close.
Half the time I hook with BBQ I get nothing from it, it’s very rare people don’t know how to counter it at this point. Distortion will actually last you a lot longer if you can find a locker and gives you info on potentially the entire killers build if they have nurses/aura perks. The only time it was useless was old freddy, I use both and distortion is great for if you can’t be bothered hiding or think the killer has nurses it tends to last me 3/4 of the game and that’s without hiding in lockers. Also you realise BBQ is a dlc perk too right, how dare it have a potential use. Most perks are dlc perks now.
Anyway we’re getting off topic, so I’d rather take this somewhere else if this is to continue, many threads already exist on BBQ and OoO
-
@Atrushan88 said:
@Kiskashi It gets harder and harder to stealth as a survivor as well. BBQ and Chili being one of the worst offenders when there isn't always a locker nearby.
Except for distortion (as you said you want it countered by perks right?) or hiding behind a gen, or being in the TR, take your pick
-
@Atrushan88 said:
@Kiskashi The only real change OoO needs is where the killer and survivor have to be looking directly at each other. Because this is how I perceived it to work previously and apparently that's not how it works. Any other perk should work no matter what the killer is, imo, because otherwise, we need perks that don't work against specific survivors. Perks imo should only be countered by other perks. Maybe with the exception of tier 1 Myers, just because he's at such a disadvantage in tier 1 as it is.
Even that would be better than how it currently works, but still that’s an argument that’s been going on for a while and I’d rather not reignite it. Stealth isn’t designed to be viable in this game anyway because of perk, item, time etc restraints and counters.
-
@Atrushan88 said:
@Kiskashi the thing is, if you're seen then you're not being sneaky anymore. I imagine that's why survivors who see you from any angle can break you out. It's kinda like that survivor behind you sees you, so they're calling you out to the others and warning them. The only real thing I dislike about GhostFace is that you can be broken out despite being behind things sometimes where a survivor couldn't totally see you. That's probably my only gripe with him.
That’s what I meant, I more so was agreeing with their detection perks, crouch camera and not being broken out from behind objects thing, all of these fall under slight buffs and bug fixes

Yea I just started playing as hiM I'll try to get better at him though:)
It really does make a difference, my first few matches with him were so difficult but now it’s more the inconsistency wrecking me, sometimes I’ll be revealed behind objects and not even get a notification, that just shouldn’t be a thing, neither should survivor models blocking the camera so he can’t be broken out. It just takes adaptation and learning when to stalk, when to sneak and normal attack, when to back off and find a more susceptible target on a gen etc.
-
@Atrushan88 said:
I think Ghostface is fine honestly. You need to approach survivors from unexpected angles. There are a lot of things to hide behind, but if you go straight from point A to point B you're likely gonna get spotted by someone. You don't just sneak when you're right up near them.
@SpyMature said:
This could be easily abused by pee-ka-boo'ing survivors you're currently chasing, and preventing them from revealing you at all.
All they really need to do is fix the way Detection perks work against him (Object of Obsession, Spine Chill, etc). Fix his crouching camera placement, so you wouldnt be sniffing the ground, and make revealing more consistent so Ghostface wouldnt be revealed behind cover, or him not being revealed even though survivor is right in front of him (Literally happened to me yesteday when Ghostface was camping the guy on the hook, I saw him sitting in a corner, sneaked behind him and crouched literally right next to him, but apparently I couldnt reveal him because My Survivor's model was in the way of the camera, so when he turned around and found me, he almost exposed me, I had to run away at a distance so my model wasn't in the way)
Another idea would be making it so survivor's actual character model and camera has to be facing Ghostface in order to reveal him, but I think dev's wouldn't be able to do it in mess that DbD coding is.
Here are my other ideas https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/78161/ghostface-and-pig-buff-idea#latest
I like both of these, slight buffs and bug fixes are the way to go, I don’t think he needs a complete change of mechanic.
-
Difference is after tier 1 (where Myers is super loopable to insane levels) which has the reduced TR his TR gradually gets larger the more of a threat he is, tier 3 being the largest equal to ghosts at base because from this point both can expose or have exposed survivors. Plus Myers stops being a stealth killer after tier 1 without M&A or dead rabbit.
I think he’s fine, I want bug fixes, maybe slightly more difficult reveals e.g. the survivor must be partially in view (similar to ghosts 20% rule) not hidden behind an object and breaking you out with magic cameras through objects (after they fix all the current bugs with reveals such as behind an object and not being able to be broken out in certain cases and fix the killer instinct bug) other than that I think he’s got a lot of versatility and TR reduction would just be an insult to his ability. I don’t even find perks like M&A useful on him in the first place.

I tried it for the first six months.
Six months of survivors edging every advantage gave me a clarity about humanity that will never leave me. I didn't need the post-game chat(introduced later) to understand.
I had the same experience, every time I tried to be nice or turn a blind eye to someone who was on last hook in mere minutes of the match I just got slapped in the face for it. I still try not to tunnel or run Moris but honestly the killer is there for fun too, and sometimes playing by all the “rules” just gets you a 4 man adrenaline T bag.
I’m just kinda feeling a little done, I’m not going to go out of my way to be terrible and camp/tunnel etc (unless it’s endgame, then all is fair if I have something to defend), but I am going to start playing for my fun as well. No more feeling guilty for using things like moris or strong addons, it’s nice to change things up occasionally, especially considering most of my killer experiences lately.
-
Wow it’s almost as if you now know how it feels to be broken out through objects because, why not?
In all seriousness I’m wondering if it’s latency because I did have a moment recently where a nea was hiding under a window and I was behind a display cabinet in the gas heaven main building and I managed to stalk/expose her and she managed to break me out, both occurring at near the same time.
No part of her character model was visible either, I’m thinking either hitbox based (which would be weird bc the stalk highlights the character model) or potentially latency (which is also strange bc I shouldn’t have been able to stalk her if it was latency bc the killer is the host) . But honestly who knows, I play him a lot and against him a lot and he’s definitely one of the buggiest/most inconsistent killers. I’m really wondering if the devs have any kind of fix planned.

I get potatoes at rank 8 and elite tryhards at rank 15, and vice versa so it really doesn't matter.
I get the same thing, it gets so much easier in high green to purple ranks for some reason, often I don’t play enough to bother ranking so I hover around green-purple depending how much I do play a season. No real reason to sweat it out to red ranks anyway.
-
BBQ, nurses, PGTW, discordance. I kinda want to try a surprise H:DH/haunted grounds at some point though. I haven’t really experimented yet, just using what works in a general sense...all these NOEDs though...
-
In terms of fun to play against... everything above 2 I love to face in different amounts. 2 and below, not so much.
5 Nurse (console before people start questioning, they’re rare and it’s so good when they appear and are skilled), ghostface, huntress, plague
4 Myers, clown, bubba, spirit
3 billy, pig
2 hag, Freddy, legion
1 Wraith, doctor, trapper
-
I’m honestly really looking forward to the ghostface lore so I really hope they do, they did already make the initial lore for him, and with him it’s probably actually possible to give further details and something that has not seen before.
But it would be really cool to see lore of how other licensed characters are in the entity’s realm but of course anything prior/backstory would probably have already been covered...I really do wonder how they’ll handle those characters, kinda hope they don’t just get ignored entirely.
-
Be prepared to learn the hard way, don’t be discouraged by being broken out easy the first few times you play. He’s a pretty good killer and I honestly don’t understand why people say one way or the other that Myers is better than ghostface or vice versa, I think they’re pretty even, they just have different uses. Ghostface does better in 1 v 1 situations or 1 v 2 if you get really good with marking, where as Myers is better at crowd control and pressuring an area. So definitely upper mid tier, level with Myers to me. (I main them both now and the one better than the other mentality is kinda...ugh, I think same tier but different applications/strengths)
Lean as much as you can, it protects you from being broken out and lets you stalk crazy fast, get used to avoiding the directional reveals (arrows) by crouching behind taller LoS blockers, short ones will do no good and try to avoid early because the reveal can be a little bugged.
If there are SWF addicted to breaking your shroud, you can use your shroud for chases and stalk as a secondary thing, he’s still decent even without stalking sometimes but often it’s better to stalk them, drop the chase, find a new target and down the first guy later. REMEMBER THAT STABBING OF ANY KIND DESTROYS STALK PROGRESS I.e. if you stalk to 99% then stab them normally you WILL lose all that progress so be careful and mindful of your mark progress and weigh up if you can A. Finish the stalk when your power returns or B. Down them normally in a reasonable time.
Best addons are definitely cooldown (chewed pen, Olsen’s address book), this allows you to use your stealth to not only mark but sneak up on people healing or to shorten a loop because people panic when they can’t see or hear you and make mistakes much more in my experience using it mid chase. You’ll find other favourite addons by experimenting, some like the lenses, I like crouching addons, find what works for you.
In terms of build discordance is nice for multiple marks/easy stalking especially early game (paired with PGTW lets you know which gens likely need regressing) Nurses is also a solid choice as you can enter stealth and sneak up on groups healing.
In any case he struggles against SWF squads a little harder than some killers but overall a fun killer and very rewarding when you chain multiple marks and decimate a team. Just takes a bit of practice and tough matches first.
Turned into an essay but felt my opinion has changed a lot over the course of actually getting better playing him, still buggy with reveals and killer instinct but far, far from weak when played well (coordinated hit squads just make it a bit tougher)

Ghost Boi:
I generally play with Telephoto Lens and Olsens Adress Book since they help with the 2 things ghostface needs the most (recovery and stalk rate)
I dont use detection range add-ons because i find them boring and a bit broken being honest
I tried an slug build with outdoor security camera one time without much success, but it looks like a fun add-on
Huntress:
Wind up time is what i use most of the time combined with something that causes exhaustion or hindered
Glowing concoction is underrated, specially when hitting survivors on loops.
Iridescent head is broken and i dont use it unless i am really, really mad.
Wraith:
Shadow Dance and The Serpent Soot is one of the most fun and underrated combos in the game, its basically a free hit against survivors who throw pallets early
All seeing is also extremely fun, it makes gen patrolling so easy.
Those ghost ones are interesting to me, to be honest I haven’t played with philly (don’t see the point with fast cooldown anyway) or the lenses, purely because I’m addicted to leaning, protects me from reveal and I can stalk at the speed of sound. I don’t think I’d feel comfortable using an addon that requires me to stalk in the open even with my decreased cooldown...I’ve probably fallen too deep into the leaning playstyle to revert to open stalks.😔 interesting to see how many people play differently with him though. I’ve seen a few play that way (open stalks at loops etc) as survivor.
Crouch speed is my new favourite (second to cooldown of course), drop leg knife sheath is incredible imo, I spend a lot of the match in shroud, crouching from location to location behind debris and it’s amazing speed difference to base, leather sheath is still good but just a little less noticeable. I find detection ones aren’t reliable in their effect so I tend not to bother either.
-
You know a clutch final knife fight was all I really wanted to see in the 2018 movie *sheds single tear* I’m actually kinda interested in seeing a burnt mask merged with face look, it will be one of the biggest variations we’ve seen in the series and would kind of make sense if you take latex to extreme heat. Kinda symbolic in a way too when you think about it.

Pretty sure it’s just a build name for running both Judith’s tombstone and vanity mirror, it’s a challenge/meme build because both reduce movement speed and you’re not allowed to stalk so you remain with tier 1 reduced speed plus the reduction from those two addons (which both only come with a negative because you can’t leave tier 1) Thinking about how abysmally slow you walk with these in a chase you can imagine why it has its name.

The "Windstorm" series.
I use these mainly, they're great to make Wraith be more present, plus when you have 2 Windstorms on, which is 10% faster than just "Windstorm" - Blood btw, it can be worth it to recloak to catch up, though it depends on your surroundings.
The "Swift Hunt" series.
VERY generic kind of Add-on, but that doesn't mean it's bad. This is just good. Not bad, not great, just good. Can't ever go wrong with landing a hit sooner.
The "All Seeing" series.
"All Seeing" - Blood is nice to find those immersed Survivors who hide well somewhere around the Generator they're repairing.
"All Seeing" - Spirit is great to know for which Generator you should actually go and pairs really well with a "Windstorm", though i really believe its flaw is being an Ultra Rare, i think it should be a Very Rare at most.
The "Shadow Dance" series.
Mostly for meme builds but BOI can this build meme. Slap on Brutal Strength, Enduring, Fire Up & Spirit Fury and you'll BURN through everything!
Coxcombed Clapper.
You can actually get grabs without needing "The Ghost" - Soot, though it's obviously harder to do once they know you're Wraith: Once they, all of a sudden, hear your Terror Radius all loud 'n' #########, you bet they'll immediately let go of the Generator. Still, even if you can end just 2 chases by grabbing immediately, it was worth it to equip it.
I forgot wraith, that hurts a little, it has been a while since I played him though so it’s fair, I used to love windstorm and swift hunt, occasionally shadow dance. Agree 100%

Yup. Just started this stupid ######### again with me. I restarted the game and still no luck. Great job behaviour. Wow.

Now its saying match not available... ARRRGH!
Oh no don’t say the no connection issue is coming back, darn. 😓Guess I’ll just have to test my luck later.

Just tested it myself it took 15 seconds to get in a lobby 30 to have 4 survivors.
Been 5+ minutes for me personally prior to the update. It definitely helped on my end.
THATS WHAT I WAS HOPING TO SEE.🤩 Thank you, that gives me hope for good killer games today then. I wanted to grind some bp for bill and some of my killers but the wait times threw that off yesterday...

It probably will for little while
It takes a while for me to download almost anything so I don't know if it did for sure
Here’s hoping, I’ve started drawing in between the matches because of how crazy the wait times can be on the killer side, meanwhile my survivor matches are usually 3-5 minute waits.
I’m the same, download is fast though, the copying/install stage seems to take the longest. I just won’t be able to play yet anyway because work but just wanted to know if anyone could give me some hope for shorter queues. Thanks for the reply though. 😊

They don't do damage like Huntress hatchets but they're also a hell of a lot easier to hit with.
You don't necessarily need to hit with the bottles, either. Throwing a bottle at a choke point, effectively cutting off that route for the survivor to go through is also a good strategic use of the bottles.
My problem with clown isn't the number of bottles he has, but how little they actually work without add-ons at all. I don't like using bottle add-ons with Clown because then I just have lots of bottles that don't really do very much. I'd rather have fewer bottles, but they actually have an impact.
But isn’t the point of this thread to remove those addons and make 5 or so bottles base so you can run effectiveness addons without having to bother with bottle addons?
I agree I tend to lean towards increased reload speed, exhaustion and intoxicated duration addons myself with clown but this is about adding a bottle or two to base so you aren’t reloading near every time you down a survivor/finish a chase isn’t it?

I used to use it all the time when I was more new to the game, now however I just get medkits with charge addons and use botany knowledge. If I don’t have a medkit I get teammates to heal me, options also exist for this like bond which is a good option in general for working with the team.
Self care just takes way too long, it’s half the reason I run we’ll make it so I can heal teammates and get them back up and ready to go fast. Saves them from self caring in the corner for the next minute and resumes the same gen pressure but without the risk of being downed instantly from the no heal meta.

When I find add-ons, perks or offerings I'm looking for, it always makes me happy. BPS can be hard to come across and it's nice to get extra points.
I quite like finding Rainbow Maps on my survivors, too.
Getting BPS or escape cakes in a web is amazing, so nice when the survivor bloodweb pays off (for once).
That’s kinda unexpected but interesting, I rarely see people use maps even though rainbows track everything and give bp. I personally love finding good medkits, I never touch self care so med kits with added charges and botany, it’s amazing. I’ll have to try using maps more.
