It is really jarring, you can’t even hear the original music much at all which takes away from a lot of ew3’s fear factor and it’s sad, it’s like that red stun VFX previously, we just don’t need things added sometimes, this was one of them, everyone has associated that VFX/SFX with ghostface, it’s just annoying if they have haunted grounds and/or make your choice in a match plus they’re ghostface, like did I get marked? looks at status bars etc No it’s just a random exposed. It was nice to be able to differentiate them by sound (I.e. Michael’s theme, make your choice scream, this VFX/SFX for ghosts marking, totem explosion for haunted etc) plus the skull icon was enough.
-
@Clopotel yeah, it’s been questioned for a while why it’s different on console but it hasn’t been changed so I have no idea if it ever will be 20 for us... apparently some have still managed to get it/it is “possible” so previously devs have said their hands are tied with changing it as it would be unfair to those who did earn it, and fair enough when considering that.
-
I think the skilled huntress one that requires you to hit someone down from at least 24m 100 times (100 times for console). I doubt I even have progress on that one. I know a few may say evil incarnate but I have managed to get that and so have a few others, this is just...requires being a god tier huntress to even stand a chance. Massive respect for anyone who has that trophy and didn’t farm it.

I'm on your side mate, don't get me wrong. It's just how it is, people playing only one side keep having their own vision of justice/playstyle, but hey what do you want to do about that.
I know and I agree/understand but there’s a difference, there’s playing dirty because others are playing dirty in the match, that I can at least understand, it’s an immediate retaliation or punishment for a behaviour I.e. getting rid of the toxic tbagger etc, however if people have a bad match and go in to the next one with the intention of trying to ruin the game for everyone that’s not okay especially if they have just fallen so deep into this mindset that they take it out on everyone, in every match.
It doesn’t punish the person who first insulted, it punishes every other person who may just be trying to have fun after them and spreads the hate/toxicity. I just don’t get why it’s the immediate response. If I have a bad match on either side I just play the next match maybe change up my addons/perks to see if they work better etc, because it’s different people they don’t deserve to be camped or tbagged because the person is titled into toxicity, I also take a break if it’s getting too much, one can only handle so much salt😂. It shouldn’t just be okay to say this is just how it is, I hope I never become so disgruntled with this game I turn into the very thing I despise, it’s sad more than anything, I refuse to accept this as “normal” and I’ve been playing for over 2 years now.

Welcome to Dead by daylight.
Sure we can just keep saying stuff like this then and ignoring the problem. I knew I’d let get a reply like this, more sad than anything....Accept it as it is, and spread the toxicity because we can’t be mature and see it as a game that others are trying to enjoy too and need to stoop to their levels, sure.

I only play killer.. and the endless teabagging and flashlight clicking has caused me to play as toxic as humanly possible every single game
Face camping, Ruin/NOED, Tunneling immediately if someone manages to get off a hook, and spamming toxic doc builds so i can still get 60k+ bps per trial.. and since doc's shock power prevents unhooking pretty consistently .. holding steady between rank 8 to 4 depending on the day.
So toxicity justifies toxicity? makes sense...and you wonder why those survivors are running instas etc every match after being tunneled/camped etc... what’s the point in just spreading it?

Yeah I just tried to play a session, not one escape due to what senzu mentioned:

It's a shame but competent teams don't even counter camping anymore, killer just runs NOED, and obviously survivor do gens ASAP because they don't want two people camped and then someone dies at the end anyway.
It’s either bad teammates who all go down together because the killer is camping the basement or a hook and suddenly it’s over even after ruin is gone, boosted killers who miss near every swing but tunnel you to death immediately off the hook regardless of other survivors trying to help and have NOED/blood warden etc. It’s just so demotivating. Especially after using such tactics (mostly tunneling) they tend to be toxic on top of it, holding you hostage and refusing to kill you if they want to farm bc other teammates were tunneled (won’t let you do gens but won’t hook you or let you bleed out), closing the hatch in your face after slugging for the 4K and waiting for the bleed out/EGC sacrifice, hit you on the hook repeatedly etc. I wouldn’t care as much if they didn’t gloat about It, is it really that hard for them to accept a win modestly? I kinda just wish matches that had a DC at any point just forfeit sometimes, especially when it’s 2 right at the start.
Just makes this game so unappealing lately, I don’t mind losing to a good killer, I’ll often give them a gg even on console, but the general BM/boosted killers is really just getting to me sometimes. I honestly can’t wait to get back to red ranks, killers tend to play hard there but at least they can take a win with grace most times unlike this season with green/purple ranks.
-
Umm, not great to admit but when I was new to the game I did use to run NOED on Myers purely because people believed you’d go t3, why would you need exposed from NOED, how wrong they were. Haven’t used it since I actually got good as a killer ages ago (don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate NOED now, it’s easy to counter and punishes lazy gen heavy survivors, I just personally don’t like using it as I prefer to get better at stopping survivors before they get that far, rarely do I get to endgame now with a full team let alone at all anyway) but yeah they do exist, every second killer I see runs NOED lately regardless of who they play (got a ghostface last night who literally waited for it to go off recently because I saw him standing idle with dark sense for 2 gens worth with 2 survivors left)
the basic rules for me playing survivor regarding NOED: doctor or wraith? 80% chance of NOED, plays bad/misses swings etc at green ranks/otherwise boosted killer? NOED definitely. No ruin? NOED. None of the above? Cleanse totems anyway. Better safe than rekt. Plus they do grant nice bp, I tend to kick cleansing into high gear at 2 gens left, the early match I just cleanse as I run across them. I have stopped so many NoEDs I can promise you it’s worth it to cleanse against every killer.
The rest I agree with though, I’ve never understood teammates cleansing before unhooking a sick survivor, genius plays. I run we’ll make it too, 90% will crouch immediately and love you, that special 10% will run you half way around the map like you’re the killer.
-
Maybe swap sloppy butcher for thanatophobia on plague, encourages cleansing or slows gens if all 4 get broken and don’t. I’ve also seen M&A be useful for her to get closer before infecting.
Ghostface... I’ve been doing decently with Nurses, discordance, BBQ and thrilling tremors but I’m considering swapping thrilling for PGTW as soon as I can find it. (I’ve also considered discordance, ruin, haunted grounds/BBQ, PGTW but in the end it’s probably going to be some combination of these perks, I know nurses has potential but I just don’t find it much use, some almost expect it now) Overcharge isn’t really that useful past green ranks. I find gen stall/tracking perks work best on him due to the setup time.
Infectious fright is more useful on a t3 Myers than a ghostface unless you’re going for a slugging build I guess but keep in mind shrouds break on successful attacks so unless you exposed them both and they stick very close together...I don’t see it being too useful, feel free to try it though, maybe you can find a way to make it work?
-
Agree, I appreciate the totem boosts in points however it means nothing if you cleanse and get in long chases, you just max out at the start of the match, why are there even caps anyway, feels like I would have a lot more bp especially in those matches where I’m healing everyone with botany/we’ll make it and max altruism or totems and long chases to max boldness
Overall those point changes don’t do much (other than max out boldness before you even start a chase) given boldness wasn’t really the category that needed a boost...survival needs more score events in match not just solely on escaping.

Why? It's a risk/reward system. You would delay him exposing you immediately, but you should be able to lose them by the time they get it back.
Here's the thing, survivors can already expose him from behind objects. Getting rid of any progress would be salt in the wounds. He's already weak to survive with friends, and pallet's force him from his power.
Him being able to save stalk is actually one of the only unique strategies he has, to take that away would make him less useful.
He is physically incapable of camping, because the hooked survivors can knock him out of it.
You're also forgetting that the Pig and Wraith should be a camping royalty too, since they can also hide terror radius! XD
Oh, and Kindred exists... and can show where he is regardless of his power.
DS/Borrowed Time can really make them regret tunneling anyways...
One last thing: Camping reduces points for the killer regardless.
Agree with this. There are so many problems with his power (broken out through objects, long cooldown at base, corn/grass blindness, not always getting the “killer instinct” reveal location etc and many more if you check some other threads) but losing stalk on reveal with that base cool down, just no, plus you realise he literally loses all that stalk progress if he hits you without exposed/basic attacks?
People need to learn how the reveal camera works, don’t always stare directly at him with a fixed camera while you’re healing/hiding (I.e. move the camera so it doesn’t “focus” and he won’t be immediately notified unless revealing is what you’re going for) and when to reveal/not reveal him, some are just so addicted they’ll try it while I’m mid chase with them and run into a wall, even shroud ends instantly when hitting a survivor wow, amazing plays. I even tried the drivers licence addon last night and people could still break me out if I messed up/was in the open/they were up high/behind windows etc. If it’s a coordinated SWF you basically don’t have a stalking power so that’s a thing too.
Addons change the distance you can be from him to reveal and you must keep him focused for nearly 2 seconds, no camera movement, if he crouches fast enough it resets yes but you can use this time to get to a loop/a better LOS blocker etc. you just really need to pay attention and not let him get that close, same with leaning, if he’s leaning block LOS immediately and run to hide or a safe area (depending on the environment). He’ll have to move, giving you a chance to reveal him if he’s not careful.
I just don’t get how people still want to destroy a mid tier killer by making it even worse for his stalking/exposed mechanic. Try playing as that killer before you suggest these things please, it does help with understanding what is a real problem.
Also as I agree with the above quote, if he’s camping the usual camping counters exist, pigs do it too and often a lot more aggressively in my experience. Camping isn’t killer specific. It’s a playstyle as you said, not a purely ghostface problem. I’ve played against him a lot and as him a lot recently and I think he’s a fun killer to go against, it’s just sad to see so many crying out for changes to make him even less viable.

@drimmalor Thank you so much 😍, I’m glad the candle wraith is appreciated, his glow fit with what I was going for. I was going to draw him holding his weapon but thought that would be boring and thought he’s usually associated with skull weapons so glowing skull just...happened??? 🤗I do wonder if I broke this thread though because everything recent now appears strikeout font to me??😅
@ceridwen309 You’re not late at all, thread is still going strong and still open to requests, feel free to request one yourself if you’d like. 😊I’m more stressed about everything else, I only stress over these if I feel like I’m taking too long but that’s a personal thought, I know everyone here is pretty patient and are so lovely in general.
Definitely, glad to hear it, I hope you can find a fun challenge too, it really helps, I’m already thinking of what I might try next, I do love art challenges. I’m actually happy with how these ones are turning out (once I get over the initial “artist only sees flaws in work while posting it” phase😅) and how ready people are with suggestions, it’s nice to not be confined to basic colours. Thank you ❤️

These are really cute, such an amazing style of painting 😍 What brush do you generally use, is it always an airbrush as mentioned above and do you use a tablet (if so which one?)
-
@Gcarrara Thank you, you're always here with such lovely comments, thank you so much for the support 💖❤️
Just wait for the billy or trapper though, I can't draw billy for the life of me and trappers palette is random neon-esque colours with no gradient/shading I'm sure we'll find one to not like soon 😂 -

maybe because they deny the only fun part of GF gameplay: oneshots? oh, sorry, I forgot that killers are clowns who serve the only purpose: entertain survivors, killers` fun does not matter, they are meanies and do not deserve it. AM I RIGHT, DEAR SURVIVOR MAIN?
@JAWS_BDSM I agree, I like how they’re like free hits are great...umm no, depriving an entire power, waiting for a long cool down at base (or you have to use addons which can also be better used to help with the immediate breaks anyway I.e. drivers licence) and just being a basic trapper without traps killer is not fun or great just because someone followed you or went out of their way to break it especially in SWF matches. Losing stalk progress on a hit is just...why is this even a thing? especially when it comes to body blocking etc. It takes effort and time to stalk without being seen and if you need to hit them at any point later well say goodbye to all of that effort/time.
Instant reveals...seriously people want him to go back to only being able to use his “power” to hide a TR/stain for a few seconds and resume M1 killer chases. He’s fine, play him a bit yourself and learn how he works before complaining like this...oh wait probably didn’t buy him anyway because most still think he’s not worth it.

Strawberry out of those definitely, Neapolitan ice cream usually becomes a game of I take all the strawberry and vanilla and leave the chocolate/only have the chocolate as a last resort 😅
Absolute favourites are bubblegum and hokey pokey though, I know, kinda weird favourites, what’s your absolute favourite?

I don't set out with the intent to tunnel, but the person who unhooks can't immediately Houdini and leave the injured person sitting there out in the open. I'm not going to throw the game because the unhooker is hanging their teammates out to dry.
This is very true, as a killer it’s tough situation but if there’s only the unhooked there what else are they meant to do? It’s the reason why if I hear the killer returning to the hook and I haven’t finished healing the unhooked I will wait by the hook to draw attention away (otherwise they will just follow the blood/scratch marks etc). I can’t stand those teammates who haven’t been hooked at all and just disappear and cause the same person to get repeatedly attacked/hooked... it damages the whole team and makes that person feel like they’re being tunneled even if the killer isn’t actively trying to do so.
9 times out of 10 if I draw the killer away from the unhooked, even if they return to the hook instantly, they will go for me easily unless their goal was to tunnel, it makes real tunneling obvious.

@LaraVermillion wraith + palette C + 44
So it’s been a while, it took me such a long time to even be moderately happy with this piece, I loved the colours but when trying to put them together it just felt like painting with white chocolate (all extremely close “creamy” shades mostly is what I mean there for lack of a better metaphor, it was hard to get any contrast) I can 100% see why it’s called dream a little dream now 😂 I decided on candle wraith because I thought I could do something cool with the purple and have blue as the “glow”, good idea... in theory, wondering now how base wraith would have looked in this palette colour scheme or if I should have used that mid purple/blue as the base. 🤔 In any case, thank you for the request, I hope you like it ❤️
Sorry I’ve not been super active with these requests in the past week or so. I got a little sidetracked with uni stress (I have an entire thesis to write in less than 1.5 months😱) and drawing things I wanted to draw
maybe including a new guilty dbd ship😏but I should be back on track with these now, I do however need to swap back to my headcanons requests thread now but thanks everyone for bearing with me on this. Your patience is greatly appreciated 😍 -
@TheShape78 I agree that’s what I thought, I was kinda relieved the rumour was just that, a rumour, because if not it would have been bad design on their part. Good point, I thought the 2nd name was kinda cheesy too (even the reveal teaser was kinda cheesy imo), wonder if they’ll change it, in any case it’s nice to have an idea of when these will be released.
I don’t think I’m excited, more hopeful for what I feel was missed in the first part to be introduced because if it’s 3 parts, I hope it has a good enough story to fill those 3 parts otherwise it will fall into the same state as some of the other entries in the series. Definitely more hopeful than excited, it’s a nice thought to have some kind of structured, final storyline, even if it’s not perfect right now, we can only hope they improve. When considering it’s 3 parts this may also suggest things get serious from here on, the first part being just an intro to the characters, setting etc.

-
Yes, I feel like I've just fallen into the habit of using chewed pen every single match, I only recently realised that means I'm relying on a green addon, constantly, even if they just reduced the base by 10s or something I'd be really happy. Feels bad to have one particular addon type basically locked in place, just to have a chance at using the power a few times in the match, especially considering most actions destroy the shroud instantly even if you don't get revealed.
-
-Borrowed Time (mostly because it's usually a coin flip as they're running at me with the killer on them/the killer is returning to check the hook and I'm screaming "DON'T" and get pleasantly surprised when BT triggers also those clutch basement saves where everyone gets out are beautiful things)
-Kindred (these people are the absolute best, seriously makes camping/proxy 100% useless and helps the team coordinate through the info i.e. who's saving, who's on a gen, who is getting chased etc)
-DS (just because it's nice to see the killer get slammed for tunneling and it extends their time)
-
Digital art while listening to music, gaming, baking (mostly cupcakes, addicted to making them for some reason) and occasionally crafts such as making costumes for conventions and masks (masquerade, character masks etc)
I know icon for hire, I used to absolutely love theatre, cynics and critics, iodine and get well too haha nice to see someone has heard of them.
-
Watch streamers who play that killer frequently at high ranks, it's really helpful to understand how that killer's power can be used. i.e. spirit phasing mindgames, when to chainsaw/vs. normal hit as billy/LF, to cloak/uncloak at a loop as wraith for the speed boost, otherwise just play them from base, no perks/one perk at the start, earn their bp as them and learn the addons as you go.
Also try to stay positive and focus on what you're learning, because you'll feel a lot better looking back on your first match if you can see how much you've improved, through losses initially and eventually wins.
-
@GrootDude that's interesting, I'm at about rank 13 because I've only just started again after reset/didn't play much killer last season and I'm not noticing a difference pre/post reset or post anniversary event, it's still taking forever for killer lobbies for me. You'd think a majority of players would be around mid ranks post reset though, so it doesn't make a lot of sense that it takes so long, especially when sometimes I just want to do dailies and it's putting me off playing killer a lot lately. Maybe it's just the time, but I've tried afternoon, nights, weekends, no real difference, only time I get a fast lobby is a SWF group.
-
@GrootDude what region/rank? I find mine are still taking a long time, ps4 too. Meanwhile survivor at all ranks is 3-5 minutes max, but usually 1min or instant.
-
Umm, my region must be the opposite, my survivor matches are instant or 2-3 mins max and my killer lobbies take 5-10 minutes just to load in. As above it might just be an issue with ping, I'll take any match I can get as a survivor, but some killers don't want to play against high ping. If I play killer against high ping survivors it just feels unfair to them because they often lag...hard, but I can't afford to dodge only to wait another 10 mins (and if it's any less/instant it tends to be a full SWF).
Plus I agree with luckyboi also that no-one wants a full lobby of flashlights or toolboxes with all survivors having the same character/cosmetic etc. The only time I'll ever dodge as a killer is if I recognise a really toxic survivor/SWF from a previous match, no one wants to play against an annoying squad/survivor twice...
Also of note is that the devs mentioned streamlining SWF in future so you don't disband after every match/reinvite, which will probably save some time/frustration along with the dedicated servers hopefully fixing the "ping dodge" issue.
-
I've been playing ghostface at similar ranks (on ps4 too) without ruin, PGTW or thanatophobia because the entity does not love me and even by lv 50 I have not had RNGs favor (I'm running discordance, thrilling, BBQ and blood warden, as if that's an optimal build...), and still manage to get multiple hooks before even the second gen goes off, as people have mentioned sometimes it is good to save videos to try to rewatch and improve, gives a good idea of improvement over time too.
Even so if you're looking to get the drop on survivors early in the match without memorising spawns, try running a perk like discordance as more often than not survivors seem to spawn together recently (I've noticed this A LOT as a survivor) I use it on Michael too, it's a very underrated perk for finding survivors early as well as helping to prevent gen rushing later on.
Ruin is a wild card, I was playing as a rank 15 huntress (nowhere near good as her, it was horrendous) for a daily first time post reset against 2 green ranks/2 of my rank on Ormond and my ruin was found way too late, I still got 3k against potatoes and last got the hatch, not a surprise, I went against a nurse on the game map and her ruin stayed up the whole match too, she still in the end had no kills, ruin doesn't make up for a lack of pressure and skill.
Even I had to learn to give up on long chases to defend gens if I know I can't get them in time and I'm nowhere near a good killer, I'm barely decent. Only issue I ever have at green/brown ranks is late season with SWF groups that intend to bully (if I haven't played killer much at all in the season), even then I still get 1-2k so it's all just learning and not relying on certain perks too heavily. Don't take the losses too hard, try to learn from them. There's a bit of good advice in this thread. Oh and if you're really panicking I find it's good to enforce a 3 gen strat/protect an area, it's kinda dirty but if they fall for it...well.
Otherwise agree with:
@KillermainBTWm8 said:
You need to learn survivor spawns. It actually amazes me that someone who has been playing for 2 years doesn't bother to learn survivor spawns. One of the easiest ways to learn survivor spawns is would ya guess it play survivor! Maybe the reason you are doing so bad is because you are playing one side as well it really helps to understand both sides and if you know both sides very well then you will do very well. According to what you said 3 gens popped before you found one person. Then when you downed that person one more gen popped. That means it was most likely an 80 second chase which is an error on your part. You just need to fix what you are doing dude.
-
Yep, mine changes with each survivor i.e. lithe, dance with me, urban and alert on laurie, prove thyself, adrenaline, sprint burst and spine chill on Dwight then stake out, plunderers, balanced landing and another perk I'm forgetting right now on Kate etc but currently I'm playing a LOT of Adam who has WGLF, We'll make it, adrenaline (or balanced) and Urban. It's honestly giving me a new found love of We'll make it and especially when pairing it with the WGLF combo.
I think that's why playing different survivors is fun to me because they're all at different prestige levels so I've got to work with what I have on each.

He still feels fine to me, I like him. You should be aiming to lean-stalk every single time if you can help it, fills that stalk meter reeeeal quick. I don't think there's a problem with its rate.
Yeah, I'm the same, I try to lean every time, it's how I get 6+ marks each match. Listening out for gens being worked on then hiding at a corner and leaning works best, also getting the high ground, you'd be surprised how many don't look up. I think if it was any faster it'd be a little ridiculous, his normal walking stalk is kinda slow though but I only ever use that if I only need a tap of stalk to finish the meter anyway.

Probably hillbilly, like I don't know about all of you but seeing a crazed chainsaw maniac speeding at me would be actually terrifying. Trapper and hag would be incredibly close tied second, you can't really run from them and picturing this happening on a dark night in a dense forest, nope.

Very rare? There're some killers that have thousands of them, as they said in this forum
Yeah, I agree, they’re not rare anymore, about a year or more ago sure I think I’d get 1-2 in 40-50 bloodwebs. Lately my ghostface and Myers get one near guaranteed every single web, even getting 2 on some occasions...I swear the rarity has changed.

In my opinion what they need to do is:
1) Remove the "Jason Myers" thing going, Jason is a brute with his kills, and Michael is a patient artist, a quite intelligent mind, resilient and strong unlike Jason.
2) Give him the original fear factor he had back in 1978, keep the stalk and fear factor, but don't make it so "Oh I can just run from Myers to live lol".
3) Give more character spotlight, don't like the idea that some characters are only made to die by Michael, like the man that came to visit him and show the mask in the 2018 movie, give it a compelling gut wrenching story where you're in fear of the characters for their lives as much as they are.
Wow another that sees Michael’s character is getting neglected, great points it’s pretty much all they need to do. He was smart and planned things so well in the first two movies, he’s always had a way of placing bodies to evoke fear in an intended target. I’ll never get over the two knives and some rope thing in the original movie because that’s exactly what he used in the setup.
Latest movie was just so disappointing for his character but I guess it’s only continuing the trend. Might also be that some people find the stalking thing and not seeing the killer all the time boring so they thought let’s make it super violent for a modern audience? Not sure but he’s meant to be patient and smart, waiting for the right moment, and that’s why I like him so much more than Jason, it’s just sad seeing him reduced to I’ll just stab everything that moves and fall for obvious traps every time a new movie comes out.
-
I actually didn’t mind seasons 1 & 2. Haven’t seen s3 because I watched that series what feels like a century ago and s3 only just came out (I think) and apparently isn’t related to the story of previous seasons at all? So...kinda disappointing the wait was so long for whatever s3 actually is. The hour long spin off finale thing at the end of s2 was painful though.
-
Extreme heights and by association going on planes, I think if I were to ever go skydiving I may have an actual heart failure...😱

Hmm I’d say M&A if you’re a Myers main and will be playing him most of the time, I did initially play without it for a long time but with dead rabbit it’s amazing. I had nurses the whole time and out of the two I’ve used nurses on Myers once to see what it was like but once I used M&A I haven’t removed it. Brutal strength is a bit of a pass for me, but I’m an aura/gen control Myers (usually use BBQ/discordance/PGTW etc) rather than a brute force Myers (spirit fury/enduring/brutal strength) so it depends on how you play, but the order I’d go is M&A, nurses (useful especially on spirit) and then brutal (as above enduring/spirit fury or bamboozle may be better for anti loop builds)
M&A is also useful on hag and shorter killers in general or killers that benefit from getting in close before using their power (I.e. plague)

This is incorrect, you can snap a leaning ghostface, however, because he's leaning, most of his body is hidden, enough to stop the snap. Either you have to be at the right angle or move to the right angle.
This is honestly why I just run or use LOS blocking if he’s leaning, it’s incredibly fast, you just don’t really have the time to reangle yourself to break him out before he gets you exposed it’s better to make sure you’re at a strong loop and block LoS. Also you can’t move the camera, much at all, it has to be focused, makes chases interesting but I don’t find the shroud in a chase that much of a problem anyway to bother trying to break him out after being exposed, especially if I’m not in a safe area.
Personally since the update on console he’s a lot easier to break out to me, it’s much smoother, I found it a lot harder before the update even without the drivers licence addon.

I like those heart pounding edge of the seat chases I.e. exposed/broken etc. plus it’s a lot more open to light hearted funny moments from teammates and really strong team plays feel great when you can come together with randoms and really get things done as a team and help each other out in tough situations, it’s also a lot less stressful than killer, I can play survivor for hours and play with a friend, killer I can play for a few hours but sometimes it’s just not possible to enjoy it as much. Plus every killer is different, some will be scary because they’re really good, others will play stealth killers and do a good job sneaking up, others may just camp or tunnel into a mori, it’s a mixed bag but refreshing, killer feels like a lot of the same to me sometimes...

@TheShape78 Yeah can only hope for a change in direction a little for the next movie. I don’t know if it was anything to do with a movement though, they did go overboard with daughter, daughter, daughter though, why couldn’t the youngest be a male I do get that however I think, or at least initially thought, that it was focusing on a generational thing, and thought the story might focus on or start with Laurie’s granddaughter because she was 17 and original movies Laurie was 17 etc. so it would be a new generation thing, that she would experience the terror Laurie did etc. BUT I do get she was raised by Karen who would NOT have prepared her and she was reacting in her own way to the experience.
The main part that annoyed me about it was how uninteresting those characters were, the youngest (Allyson) I don’t know what it was but in the end she just seemed really transparent and became so unimportant in the story despite having a close relationship with Laurie which could have been really interesting or developed further, her character needed serious work. Laurie’s daughter Karen was more interesting to me in the end though, she was kinda... like... wow I get Laurie wouldn’t have been the best mother with such a hard commando program but in the end it saved all of their lives because Laurie knew better, she had the foresight that it would never be over until he was dead and wanted to protect her, but also train her to protect herself in the event that Laurie might not be able to, so...? She has potential to me from her one badass scene but her character can only go forwards from here to me. (But I know a few in the fandom that really hate her)

@Kiskashi Yeah, I don't even want a sequel, let alone 2 of them ha ha. Doing them back to back in the same month is a recipe for disaster, if you ask me. If you recall back in 1988, Halloween 4 came out to some success, so they immediately jumped onto a sequel, and so, Halloween 5 came out in 1989, just 1 year later, and I think the film shows how that went. I personally don't buy into the rumors of this happening, as it just seems too crazy to be true honestly. Regardless, if they do indeed make a sequel, I really hope they finally kill Laurie like they should have done in the 2018 film so they can just end this franchise. As much as I love the franchise, it REALLY needs to end already. If they continue making sequels, you're just going to end up right where you were with garbage films like Halloween Resurrection.
@TheShape78 There it is, I’m here thinking “am I a true Halloween fan if I don’t want anymore movies?” because everyone else is losing it that there’s a sequel to the 2018 version and I’ve been hoping for them to wrap it up, I was thinking maybe Laurie or Michael might win for good in the 2018 version and that’s why I had high hopes, a final confrontation thing but this...it barely needs one more part let alone two. It is a crazy rumour I know, it sounds really hard to believe but it does sound believable that they’d film the rest at all at once to have a “continuous” story compared to the previous movies so who knows, if that’s not the release and it’s 2020-2021 instead that would still make sense.
I’ve just felt so guilty for not being as excited as everyone else about it, but it just feels like with each revision it strays further and further from it’s original image and why I enjoyed it in the first place. It’s good to meet another fan that isn’t just blindly invested because it’s another entry in the series and just wants a final wrap up to the story too. I honestly thought 2018 would do that, would be a true continuation to the original and would really give us that intensity and a final fight in a modern era style of movie and it would be god tier but nope split into a series...again. I’ll stick with it, I’ll watch it but only because I still have some hope for a good conclusion.
I honestly thought that the plot of 2018 might be that he targeted Laurie’s family so she would be forced to fight him to protect them, potentially dying while being so close to winning only for her family to finish the job once and for all or some iteration of that. There’s just so much potential for an edge of the seat not sure who will win out kind of end to the series that I really want to see. I don’t honestly mind who wins, I love Michael’s character immensely and seeing either of them die for good would be painful but I feel the only way the series can really end is with his (and potentially her) final defeat otherwise he always comes back. Plus by loving his character seeing him become less and less of the character I initially loved is getting more painful than an ending.
Resurrection, that was...that was just...??? Really why was that even a movie, let alone where they left it off in the 2000s...😂 good point though, it happens to all horror series that drag on too long.

Myers main and lifelong fan here. I grew up with the character and series. He is my absolute favorite horror icon, let alone the whole reason I got DBD. The 1978 Halloween is my favorite in the series, and favorite horror film PERIOD. I HATE the Rob Zombie films, especially his Halloween 2 from 2009.
He basically turned Michael into Jason, a big mistake, and they seem to have continued that, though not quite as much, with the 2018 film, which I'm not a fan of by the way. My second favorite is Halloween 2 from 1981, and my third favorite is Halloween 4. I'm ok with Halloween 3 though, to be honest. If you realize the fact they were trying to make the series an anthology, than it definitely works. Needless to say, I'm glad the 1978 version is what they added to DBD, though there are a few visual inaccuracies, such as the hair and boots. I'd love to see them add the Halloween 4 version of Myers to DBD.
@TheShape78 same view of the movies again I see.😍 How do you feel about the rumours that there’s going to be two sequels after the 2018 one released a month apart in 2020. I really doubt they’ll go through with it if it’s more than a rumour, it sounds like they’re rushing it because the 2018 one did so well at the box office and if the 2nd part is bad it gives no room to fix the 3rd, apparently they’re filming it like this to keep a continuous story to the revamp trilogy (4 parts including the original movie). I’m kinda dreading it just a little though because of the not as smart/planning Michael and the “Jason Myers” direction. Plus as mentioned above it was kinda cringe in some moments with trying to be a comedy. That “peanut butter” scene was seriously bad, just why??

@PhantomMask20763 Forum name is basically the same name I use just about everywhere else so...I guess that would be it? Sorry, I’m still in the process of setting up an art/personal Twitter at KiskashiArt (it exists but I’m still designing a background/icon etc and setting up so I’m not really active on it yet)
Thank you for giving credit though, it does mean a lot and I’m still getting into this “digital art” and actually sharing it with people thing so probably hard for people to have something concrete to refer to at this moment...😅

@GrootDude Thank you, I’m slowly getting through them, I’m really happy that people are enjoying them. 😊
@drimmalor Well most of this is thanks to the people who request the palettes, that one was really nice, I loved it too, such a warm orange/rust blend, it was fun to work with, some colours get difficult with knowing where to put them/how to use them/ what shade to use for each part (shading/highlights/base colours) but it’s really cool seeing the end result of the palettes and wondering if I could have done them differently. That’s pretty funny, it kinda does look like a basket at a quick glance, I could see it 😁 . Thank you for the support ❤️
@Peanits Thank you, that will be interesting no doubt 😨 *stares at palette in vast confusion while trying to picture trapper* I can see some things being possible even on first glance but wow that’s going to be fun/a miracle if it’s even possible and looks decent 😂 Thank you for the request.😘
@GhostlyFoxx Aww thank you so much, that means a lot 😍

@PhantomMask20763 Thank you so much, I’m glad you like it ☺️ The pose was pretty fun, thought it fit his “theme/character”, red on red was interesting to say the least. 😅 I don’t mind at all it’s actually really amazing/heart-warming that you like it that much 😍 and I did make it for you (a ref somewhere for the art would be really appreciated though but not a necessity) Thanks again for participating in this. 💖

I’m honestly loving we’ll make it, I have it in a build on my Adam (with WGLF, adrenaline and another perk that changes depending on how I feel like playing) it really saves so much time with healing and on the tier 3 version I’ve actually used it after an unhooking to pick up slugged teammates or heal teammates in a tight situation and save the game just in time which wouldn’t have been possible without it. Absolutely amazing perk.

@Gcarrara Thank you for the continued support 💖, it’s just that sometimes staring at something too long leads to overthinking it and seeing only the flaws. Thank you for letting me know how you see it, makes me feel a little better about it. ☺️
@TheGameZpro3 I’m so sorry I almost missed your reply, I’m really glad you liked it makes it feel extra worthwhile when the people I made them for really like the outcome, thank you again for the request ❤️
