  • Some dances would be pretty cool but then I can imagen survivors dancing at the escape gate to show their new way of T-Bagging, because spamming CTRL is so 2016/2017

Claudette was alone and needed a matching person, so Adam Francis happened to get in the fog.

Jake was there for her first and has been there longer than Adam. You won't sink the ship!

But Claudette will obviously go for Adam cause his coat is so perfect

Well if Claudette's a lost cause then I guess I will just have to ship Jake with Kate once the American Flag shirt drops for Kate. Then they'll be the only American Flag wearers in DBD.

Wait, what am I saying?! #Cake for life!

Cake sounds cute but I would never be able to accept Jake and Claudette together, Adam Francis and Claudette are meant to be no matter what anybody tells me. It just took the developers a while to realize it and add Adam to the fog

Lol, I understand how you feel. Used to have so many negative comments on my Steam profile that I had to put it on private at some point. Some people are sportsmanlike and will say good game, others are salty as hell and throw some trash at you that isn't true. Same goes to the ''ez'' spam when I go against SWF & DS. I just let it happen and move on. The toxic and salty people stand out, so instead of attacking back I just leave and hope that maybe one day these people will realize how incredibly immature they are and turn to the good side. Can't say I have met many actual friendly people in the games i've had, and when I do it's mostly killers (I'm a survivor main with a neutral opinion).

You should open up your profile again, now with the reporting rule update, no one with a brain will post hate. As a neat bonus, you can report anyone that does still hate and get them banned!

Just rather not have toxic people to go to my profile, feels so peaceful when it's on private and they actually need to send a friendship request to throw their salt at you :). I have never really bothered too much about reporting since I don't take their insults too personal, it's just slightly annoying.

I think, if you play her right with some of her perks, she currently already is a viable killer. She just requires practicing in mindgaming.

I know because that’s what I do at Rank 8
Survivors will however know how to counter her in about a Week or 2

Then there are still many builds you could try out like how it has to be done with many other killers. There must be a perk set that works well with her power without needing to change anything.

Most mindgame talk is just a lame survivor excuse.
Something is broken and unfair for the killer -> "you need to mingame it"
It's like "if you get looped and the chase is to long, stop tunneling and switch target" = get looped by the next guy

It's not a lame survivor excuse, It's pretty much what decides how a chase will go (and if chase turns out to be really long it also influences the rest of the game).

the latest update seems to be allowing survivors to win no matter how bad they play . if this turns out to be the case i won`t be hosting anymore games

What in the patch notes makes you get that conclusion?

  • From what I know that has to do with ping. Dedicated servers could solve that. Happens to me a lot too on a daily base

While we're on the subject of the new dlc I am curious about what perk you folks are looking forward to the most.

    • Spirit Fury
    • Haunted Grounds
    • Rancor
    • Diversion
    • Deliverance
    • Auto-didact

    @Wolf74 @blue4zion @Khalednazari @SovererignKing @WalterWh1te @AmorePrincess @GhostrickSpecter @Vankruze @JoannaVO

Hard to say, many perks offer something new, survivor and killer perks. But I think I love the perks that give the exposed effect (so Rancor and Haunted Grounds) the most

  • Saved 1,000,000 for the new DLC (but until it's actually released I keep spending around 50,000 so I have 950k left) and saved 10,000 shards for possible cosmetics.

  • I want to be jump scared by the Spirit but it's mainly her Hex perks that got me excited

  • Can't wait, would say this pretty much confirms that it will definetly come any of these days

On PC they do so I assume it's just a thing on all platforms?

You need to leave 80% of games to trigger a ban. It should be like 2 or 3%, with immunity to a ban when you first start out. (as a single dc would make you go under.

80%!? That's absolutely ridiculous! It shouldn't even go further than 10%.
Where did you get these numbers from though?

  • On PC they do so I assume it's just a thing on all platforms?

  • Players who disconnect frequently are supposed to get temporary bans

  • DCing results in soft bans in case you didn't know ^

  • Definetly think they did many things right, because despite the fact that some things need a fix it's still a game I can launch everyday and enjoy myself in for a few hours.

  • Well done, looks really nice :)

  • Kate Denson because I have all perks on her and I like the way she looks and her additional cosmetics.

Would like to see this implemented in the game. Often see people with 'We're Gonna Live Forever' in my matches and the majority seems to farm hooks, without borrowed time (could be that I just happen to be extremely unlucky, but I doubt that). So yes, give people who want to use the perk more options to gain tokens other than unhooking which results in unsafe unhooks at many times.

This is one of the reasons I suggested this but not the only one. It's already hard as it is to get tokens without having others get in trouble... or yourself for that matter. Compared to the killer the tokens here are harder to obtain. And even with what I suggested it's not guaranteed you'll always have full tokens worth of extra points but you'll start to average a higher percentage.

That´s the whole point. Survivors should get an incentive to go for unhooks (preferably save ones) instead of only doing gens. Risk something and get a reward. Killer tokens are way harder to obtain btw. Because the killer has to hook every survivor to get 4 tokens. Survivors just need to get hit near a injured survivor to get a token. You don´t even have to unhook. Make a risky save, get hit after unhooking = 2 tokens. That´s supposed to be harder than hunting down 4 different survivors?

The huge difference being the fact that the killer perk does something else apart from giving bloodpoints?
And no it's not hard to hook every survivor. Sure it might be hard to kill all of them but to hook each of them at least once? Yeah I doubt it. Tell me when it's the last time u didn't hook all survivors at least once?
And survivors already have an incentive to go for hooks. Bloodpoints and tokens nonetheless. Still I don't agree with ur opinion. It's all yours but I'm not going to change my pov just because u might want me to do so.

That question is easy to answer: almost every match. Why because survivor dc the moment they get downed. Killer doesn´t get tokens from that survivor.
Also BBQ gives the killer an incentive to leave the hook. Would you prefer it, if the devs take that away?

And if they dc how is that my fault. Why don't you suggest the devs to do something about it? It's not an excuse for not having a change to we're gonna live forever.
Even if it does it doesn't mean they will. There's a difference. Not to mention that if the killer won't leave he still can get tokens out of the other survivors... the survivors can't do the same.

Killer can get 1 token maximum per survivor. Survivors can get max tokens from 1 other survivor.

Yeah uhm no they can't. At most they can get 2 from 1 other survivor.

Not really, taking a hit near a hook for a survivor or taking a hit near a injured survivor in general (healing etc.) grants you a token, so you could technically get all 4 tokens just from 1 survivor.

Technically but not from just unhooking. And still don't think it would be a bad idea to have more option on how to get tokens. Since the person above was complaining about the killer one. They could also have other options... like the survivor one after a chase of like 1.5k if u hit down the survivor u get a token or smth

I definetly agree with you on the fact that there should be more ways, and I explained above why, but I don't think generators should be involved. I mean, you do have to do something for the (if gained 4 tokens) 100% extra bloodpoints, which is just like a Escape Cake which you didn't have to pay 4,000 bloodpoints for. If I use the perk, and I have a good match in which I'm altruistic I get around 20,000 bloodpoints, that doubled for all the matches I've played is a pretty decent reward for just unhooking and taking a few hits near injured survivors, which I do anyway without having the perk.

  • Claudette was alone and needed a matching person, so Adam Francis happened to get in the fog.

  • Nice horror games will release soon (if that's your favorite category), and the Halloween sale is also coming in a month so don't worry about possible games you could play if moving on from Dead by Daylight.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually come out with a VR version of Dbd.

Which would be very interesting to many people so even more money for them. Whether the game still has ongoing bugs

They might stop making killers and survivors, for a while. Really though, how many do we really need in the game... too many to choose from now.

They have to still pay for the rights for this game... Doubt the spent all that money to end it in a year... they are gonna take this as far as they can. They still got 3 years left to pay for those rights.

But in order to keep a game more attractive to it's player new content would have to roll out regularly

  • the Netherlands

  • I think either Bill or Claudette. Both seem to have enough knowledge to fulfill the position of leader

  • When I was the only person that spawned in the match, had to fix 2 generators but couldn't even touch one because the killer hooked me pretty fast :/

  • Would still go for the save, gives me points plus extra altruism score. Wouldn't take a hit for them tho :')

  • The only time I didn't get to keep my items is when the killer used Franklin's Demise on me and then DC'ed. Got this like twice with a instant heal. For the rest I can not imagen any other method that'd make you lose items unwanted.

  • They are like little children, they are still learning a lot and everytime they (just) made it they are more than happy to show you by doing their little dance with which they pretty much want to say ''Look daddy/mommy, I escaped!''.

  • I seem to go against a toxic leatherface from time to time (literally the only killer that actually has either a toxic or boring gameplay when any of these are applied, not talking about those who play him normally) and besides him staring in my face, slapping me 1,000 times he also likes to do a little dance with his chainsaw for me.. Just to make me feel comfortable. And he knows I don't feel comfortable with it.

But how can you say that before the new chapter even has been released. Maybe it will be a killer that is actually balanced with it's perks and abilities. Need to give it a chance atleast

Sure, nice joke, better stop dreaming and face reality

Which reality am I not facing? So you call it completely unrealistic that there might be a small chance that the coming killer has a perk that could turn out to be pretty useful in a chase? That's quite a interesting opinion of you.

  • From what I know the coming chapter is not going to be a licensed killer. I myself hope for a wizard or a mime.

  • Nobody is denying the point you're trying to make, because you're definetly right but realistically seen it's just not going to work out like that. When a new killer gets released people are going to be hyped to try it out, and even if there wouldn't be a new chapter, the chance that killers would actually stop playing just to prove their point, which they aren't even sure of whether their protest is going to be effective or not, is just really low.

  • Like said earlier by somebody in this topic, the chance of killers actually going with this protest is pretty much nil. Developers should just stop listening to the threats of survivors, and killers should try to keep their optimism for as much as they can and hope that the next chapter will allow them to come out stronger than the survivors.

  • Congratulations buddy have seen you in a topic before having a argument and you were pretty funny so I will give you a +1 awesome too so you can win the race :)

I don't think anything is wrong with the current effects of hex totems, I think the problem is that the totems are currently on spots where they become way too visible to survivors. Rather see harder totem spots like corners where you'd never come, but have to look to possibly find the totem than effects that still last on a hex totem that is already broken

There are two problems with that.

    A. If you put them in really good spots, some totems could just be ridiculous. The point of totems is that they are so strong survivors should want to take time from gen rushing to take them down. Half are, but at the very least you can say all totems have a useful effect. But survivors might just take too long finding them before they become super powerful, imagine the Devour hope nerf threads... but the other thing to consider about just changing spots for totems is

    B. Eventually, it won't matter. Once survivors start figuring out the spawn places for new totems, they'll justnmemorize them like the old ones. All itbwpuld take is someone going around, using the perk to find totems and eventually that info will be out there, boom totem buff pointless.

But, if developers really want to ensure fun and fair gameplay there are definetly solutions for this. Developers can make it so that totem placements become different frequently, like monthly or every patch but it will make learning all the spots pretty useless. Considering a big percentage of the survivors will not go and hunt for the totem every match but instead works on a generator.
I'm sure that survivors will make topics in which they declare how overpowered totem perks are, but then, their moaning will eventually stop and they will get used to the change. Just like how it happened with the exhaustion nerf.

  • Friday the 13th has added something really scary, lawyers. Takes away the fun part of the game

Just the fact that I am starting to get pissed off. You realize this is a forum right? Deal with it. You must be one of the people who rage quit like I said

this internet world isn't real. This is just a game. It doesn't reward you for being good, honorable, hitting rank 1, there's not even leaderboards. So if someone leaves, you losee nothing. Go have a drink, tab on me boo.

It rewards the time and effort you put in via points though. When they leave like they do, I lose points thus making what time I do put into the game useless that I could have used well doing something else. When I decide to take an hour or two to play the game instead of doing something else and I waste my time like that it makes me wish I would have done the other thing

too long didn't read. This thread is like old, no one cares, have a nice day

I find it so amusing to see people getting themselves involved by sharing their opinion and then when somebody else replies on their opinion with something they mostly do not like they completely lost all interest and want to cut off the topic lmao. If discussions aren't your thing, I think you should keep yourself out of it and go to a topic where they play games like ''continue the story''. They allow you to give your word once and then not look back at it anymore, arguments on the other hand work different ;)

  • @MegDenson Hide Or Die. Looks like a game worth my money much more

Edit: I checked Last Year and the game looks pretty decent to me, might be one to try out.

  • I can imagen a Nea entering the car and ''accidentally'' killing all of the fellow survivors.

  • To me it looks everything but attractive and worth it's money and besides that there's another horror survival game that will get released soon, rather get that one

  • Technician, don't see why I'd use a perk slot to increase chance of prevention by 30/40/50%. Barely happens anyway that I cause the generator to explode, and when I have tried it with this perk, the 6 times I have tried on generators only 1 got prevented and that's just not enough for me in order to fill up a perk slot
