  • Because achieving rank 1 as a survivor with all the available perks, add-ons and offerings is not too hard. Survivor rank has more to do with how much time you spend playing than with how much skill you own.

  • Disconnecting frequently already results in a soft ban

  • Funny enough I was just in a match where we all spawned, I started working on a generator, and literally all 3 survivors went down when I had the first generator completed. ''Okay then'', I thought. I went to heal the survivors on the ground because the killer was just about to hook the first person, and then I went back to work on another generator so we could have a chance of escaping and somewhere in my mind I thought they wouldn't screw up again... Guy got unhooked, the person who saved went down the same second and the killer started slugging them, by the time the 3 were down again I had generator number 2 finished. So I went back and helped them up, again. Decided I'd try to get the killer to go after me since they weren't doing too well and they would be better off fixing generators. Well, nope. No generator was fixed, the killer was focused on 2 weaker survivors, the third one was actually working on a generator on the other side of the map. So these 2 survivors died, then I got hooked, decided to kill myself so the guy who has barely done anything could get the hatch. Feels bad when your team screws up and you have to sacrifice yourself while the situation could have been totally different.

@JoannaVO Judging from your transition from a Claudette profile picture to a Hag icon I take it you've become a Hag main?

The hours I find to play this game I do tempt to play killer more often (and thus Hag) yes. After 1,000 hours of the survivor, it gets quite boring to just find me in that side.

Well if you ever get a little tired of Hag and are lucky enough to get the Mine or Warehouse levels of the Macmillan Estate you can just place all of your traps around the mine or warehouse generator and know that you've nearly given some poor bloke a heart attack. In fact, when the Warehouse has the basement I find it VERY helpful to fill the entire warehouse with traps just for fun.

Oh yes, I've had the mine once and since I always use Thrill of the Hunt and Ruin together, I had two totem spawns that were literally next to each other, on the side of the mine, and I had my basement there too. Just put all the traps there, barely had to do anything and the 4k pretty much walked in my hands.

When I was grinding for the "Triggered" achievement I literally spammed traps in the alcove with the generator. It was quiet almost all game. Once they got to the 2 Generators left part of the match though someone unleashed Ragnarok. I then did the same thing to a harvester Generator on Coldwind Farm and I actually traumatized some poor Meg.

Lol I always put a lot of traps near generators when I have this add-on that does not spawn a Phantasm when the trap gets triggered and it's sometimes hilarious when somebody gets on a generator and just gets grabbed off out of nowhere. I definetly have the most fun with Hag

My advice is to try playing between 6.00 P.M. EST and 6:00 P.M EST, @Melomanas. Between those times I have the shortest queue times.

But the chance of SWF teams increases too around that time, not sure which of the two is worse D:

It's better to face SWFs than to face no survivors at all.

Not really, not for me atleast.. Many SWF I face are strong and optimal and I'm not skilled enough as killer to go against those, and it takes away the ''fun'' part of playing killer for me.

Very nice of the killers who are willing to do this.

While I don't always play the killer, the gratitude is a nice change compared to the salt.

They do great contributions towards stimulating positivity in this community. I am like that too when I'm a killer, because when I am in a situation like that as survivor, I do get to escape too. They shouldn't be punished for the disconnected survivors.

  • Very sad that achievement hunters like me can't use the perk and get the ''Unhook yourself 50 times'' achievement :(

  • I never DC, I mean after all it's a situation the killer didn't ask for either. Sometimes I end up in a game where it's only me and somebody else who spawned and we have to fix 3 generators where the killer still tryhards and gets us down. I personally find that a uncool move from the killer, like sure kill us, but it would be nice if they could atleast give us enough points to not depip atleast? Can't really say anything either way because they're supposed to kill and give as less points as possible to survivors. But, in many matches where the majority DC's, the killer farms points with me and the other survivor and lets us escape. Very nice of the killers who are willing to do this.

  • On Kate : We're Gonna Live Forever, Self Care, Urban Evasion and Borrowed Time.
On Meg : Adrenaline, Urban Evasion, We'll Make it and Self Care
On Claudette : We'll Make It, Urban Evasion, Borrowed Time and Self Care

  • Looks very nice, well done :)

  • How about making 2 options of speaking, one is for people very close to you, so pretty much in front of you. And the other option is for players that are just a little more away. In option 1 it doesn't necessarily give a notification to the killer, because it could be considered whispering to the other player. In the second option though it will give a notification to the killer since the player is speaking to somebody further away and thus has to speak louder.

Is friday 13th bad? It looks interesting but I know about the lawsuit and everything.

Anyone still playing it and having fun? How is it compared to dbd?

Friday the 13th is quite fun with the voice and stuff, and how you can communicate with Jason, etc. But it takes ages now to find a full lobby, and people keep leaving so that's something to keep in the back of your head

    @JoannaVO Then there's the fan art. . . of #CAKE

Anyway, I can respect your head Canon as there is some potential for it. Not to mention a seemingly endless number of Claudettes. And Adam wrapping his coat around her will probably be in some fan art in the future. I just found it odd that you ship the pebble thrower (almost worthless) with the healer (incredibly important).

Because love doesn't know limits like this. It's just happens when it's the least expected

  • @Peasant said:

    @JoannaVO said:
NO WAY. Adam Francis and Claudette are so meant to be! ''#Cake" is nothing more than an optical illusion, don't get fooled folks.
Just to clarify it btw, I don't find them fitting because they have the same skin color but because their personalities seem to fit together.

Adam Francis and Claudette Morel forever and nobody can get between the two on my watch

"#CAKE" sounds sweeter then "#CADAM". Besides, where's the synergy? As stated earlier, Jake can deny hooks and Claudette can deny the slugs, this makes them a working couple. On top of this since Jake's Sabotages can really mess up a killer this gives him the ability to lead the killer away from Claudette which in turn makes her time in the fog easier and more enjoyable. Meanwhile, with "#CAD" Claudette heals and Adam, is there too I guess? Claudette is a superior healer than Adam in every way so his perk Autodidact gets countered by his partner. Sure Adam can unhook himself, but immediately after the self-unhook, he can't be healed by anyone so I suppose he could save himself for Claudette, but he groans loudly (unlike Jake with his Iron Will) so he could be found before his "lover" can heal him. Finally, there's Deliverance. If the killer actually follows Adam over Claudette in a chase he may actually be dense. Sure, you'll want to hook Adam first at the beginning to deny Deliverance. But after that? His unique ability is throwing a rock 20 meters after lurking near the killer. I mean, that might come in handy if he and Claudette were "enjoying each other's company" and they wanted the killer to go stay away, but that perk takes so long to actually function. Even then, that buys you maybe 5 seconds, definitely no more than 10 seconds. Overall Adam is just, sad. The most romantic thing he could arguably do is wrap Claudette up in his trench coat as he holds her, that's it.

Meanwhile, Jake Park can just remove all of the hooks on one side of the map and they can have 3 minutes in heaven while the hooks regenerate. Plus all of my earlier statements.

Well damn you got me, I haven't got anything to reply to that xD Still stick with my choice :D

  • I rather have the killer to stay ingame, so that I can earn some extra bloodpoints. I would probably stick around for a few minutes to find totems, open chests, etc. Then I'd just leave.

  • @Peasant said:
@JoannaVO I just realized, something critical to our little debate. There are (at the time of this post) more Claudette players than any other type of survivor. So, if the total number of Claudettes is greater than the number of Jake and Adam mains. . .
. . . doesn't that mean that there's plenty of botanist to go around?

Most claudettes are taken by flashlights and decisive strikes, but hey, my Claudette would never say no to a Adam in nice suit.

  • If it comes to PC, yes. If not I will stick with Wild West Online (probably even better than RDR)

I only use selfcare just in case there are silly survivors who think they can be funny with their heal trolls.

You can use Self-Care all you like, but I will laugh at you from atop my mountain of Emergency Aid Kits. #Pharmacyisthenewmeta

If I play on other characters I usually loot boxes to find medkits, but have had it way too often in the past were teammates thought they were funny by blocking me so I get downed, them tapping me instead of giving a full heal and not giving the killer time to reach, or they stop at 99%. At some point I was like ''Screw this, I'll not make myself depend up on my team. So now I use selfcare and help my team more efficient as I can heal myself (if nobody else can because I rather give somebody the altruism points) quickly and then get back to the objective.
Can't really say I play the game anymore to get tension, it just all depends on how I feel like playing, if I do want to feel more tension I run a no mither build, but if I just play a few games to get some extra bloodpoints, I do run Self-Care.

  • I only use selfcare just in case there are silly survivors who think they can be funny with their heal trolls.

  • I don't think Myers is better than clown, unless you have tombstone or unlimited EW3 he's pretty weak.

  • I just let it happen and minimize until the whole sacrifice process happened and move on. Doesn't really bother me too much.

Claudette was alone and needed a matching person, so Adam Francis happened to get in the fog.

Jake was there for her first and has been there longer than Adam. You won't sink the ship!

But Claudette will obviously go for Adam cause his coat is so perfect

Well if Claudette's a lost cause then I guess I will just have to ship Jake with Kate once the American Flag shirt drops for Kate. Then they'll be the only American Flag wearers in DBD.

Wait, what am I saying?! #Cake for life!

gotta ship Nea with Meg and David with Dwight (sry but my own fantasizes ARE mine muahahahahah)

No I think 100% is good enough, especially for We're Gonna Live Forever, have seen enough farming with it already and can't be arsed seeing more of it if it gets buffed. Same goes to BBQ, it's practically a free Survivor Pudding which saves you 4,000 bloodpoints everytime while your points get doubled.

Add more ways to get tokens.

    Like?

  • I think the option to see the obsession should be taken away, so that, in order to get the obsession (which is already made easier), you would still have to put in some effort. Though, survivors could also just block a hit for the obsession until the gate is open and the obsession can escape.

  • Yes please, but I want something else other than the american flag outfit that I saw in leaked pictures.
I'm actually wondering.. The new killer is Asian (from what I know) and the theme sounds Asian fitting too.. Why hasn't got Feng Min got some Asian themed clothes? Couldn't imagen a better survivor for it than Feng.

Edit: It's really starting to get time to add Kate to the profile pictures you can choose from so we can share our love for her on our profiles.

  • Everything survivors do is toxic. Good example is genrush, when they ''genrush'' it's considered toxic by some. Meanwhile it's the objective of the survivor just like killing is of the killer. Some people just don't allow anything the enemy team does and that's what I find toxic and very unsportsmanlike

I dont think so, especially when it comes to coordination via voice comms

But there is no other killer but nurse who can go up against organized SWF on comms. Let's just take a solo survivor queueing theme that gets in the game and does not know who the killer is yet. Then you would have a good chance of getting a 4k with the Spirit

Exactly and this is why nurse is the only balanced killer.

SWf is part of this game now, accept it and ofc it has to be balanced around SWF now

It has been part of the game for quite a while, and I haven't said anywhere that I have trouble accepting so. But I'm not going to pretend like every match must have SWF in the survivor team because that's just total BS. Many people still play solo (like me).

Sure there are solo players out there, I am a solo survivor aswell. But that doesnt change the fact that SWF is really common now and of course the game has to be balanced around this.
Killers have to verse these kind of teams, you cant deny this

Would never deny it, I find it very frustrating too when going against a SWF team, but Spirit has only been out for a few days now, and I'm not the best killer around but most of my matches were 4 kills. I personally wouldn't mind making every killer strong enough to go up against a SWF team but I don't see it happening ever. And yes, survivors are slowly understanding her and her sounds, but I see killers using that to trick them and catch their prey.

Lol, and I get the complete opposite in my matches.. Survivors end up dying because they are way too altruistic and want their unhook points so bad during the event.

Same happens to me. I wish everyone just do gens even if I'm on the hook.

Well it would be nice to get unhooked before going to the next stage or dying but there shouldn't be more than 1-2 survivors that go for the unhook. Now I just see people running after the killer that is in a chase and then quickly hiding behind something near the just hooked person so they can be the first one to unhook. So annoying. I mostly just go and try to fix generators myself but it's very boring to just hold M1 and press spacebar from time to time in a trial.

  • @scerckan said:
because that cleaning unlit totems type of players are the idiots that makes the whole team lose

Why is that? Cleansing a totem only takes a few seconds, and doing them wouldn't harm. I have never seen a team losing because somebody went to cleanse dull totems. But what I have seen is teams getting saved because all the dull totems were cleansed and NOED had no chance of spawning.

  • Myers because he's been my icon ever since I watched Halloween when I was younger.
Hag because her power fits me the best out of all killers, I can put on good map pressure with her traps and her hex perks.

  • If you mean Lery's Memorial ; I think many survivors (and certain killers with certain builds) like the map. Survivors get to benefit from the big amount of windows. And doctor is everything but OP, most of the time when I go up against a doctor they end up camping because all gens are done and nobody is dead yet. While in some cases there hasn't even been genrushed.

  • Hi, I bought this game during the last sale because in the videos it looked really cool, but at first it wasn't what I expected but then later on I gave it another try because I was done with CSGO, then I actually started liking the game and now this is one of the few games I play on Steam. I have 1,330 hours in the game.

Edit : Last sale = Halloween sale 2017

Idk bout 4k if they aren't in comms. Hatch is quite regular.

But there will be a new solution for the hatch, so a survivor has to do more for their escape and a 4k could be gained with the Spirit.

  • Not sure about the flashlight stun but the occuring with the pallet stun has showed itself way before the new chapter came. I was told that it was because I dropped it a bit too early (while the killer was still in the picking up animation), and ever since I paid attention to that I do my stuns correctly.

Lol, I understand how you feel. Used to have so many negative comments on my Steam profile that I had to put it on private at some point. Some people are sportsmanlike and will say good game, others are salty as hell and throw some trash at you that isn't true. Same goes to the ''ez'' spam when I go against SWF & DS. I just let it happen and move on. The toxic and salty people stand out, so instead of attacking back I just leave and hope that maybe one day these people will realize how incredibly immature they are and turn to the good side. Can't say I have met many actual friendly people in the games i've had, and when I do it's mostly killers (I'm a survivor main with a neutral opinion).

You should open up your profile again, now with the reporting rule update, no one with a brain will post hate. As a neat bonus, you can report anyone that does still hate and get them banned!

Just rather not have toxic people to go to my profile, feels so peaceful when it's on private and they actually need to send a friendship request to throw their salt at you :). I have never really bothered too much about reporting since I don't take their insults too personal, it's just slightly annoying.

But if you report, you help others too...

Correct, but people on the internet insult fast. If it would go to a unacceptable extreme level then I would report, but those are just some insults that, if you are familiar on the internet, you have heard many times before.
