You kill people in the same fashion?
Yes XD

I prefer Kindred tbh. At least they can know that the killer is facecamping so, they can go and do a gens xd
-
Tbh I didn't met with the racist or xenophobic behaviour in my way in dbd. I've get only being insulted at steam forums from the ''pansy'' which is homophobic. But I believe that people are doing that ######### to each other.

I like it but killers would need serious buffs. The game is balanced around survivors not knowing what others are doing which makes them waste time (2 people going for saves etc). SWF doesn't have this issue and now if solo's don't either then there will need to be something to slow them down or make killers better.I know. I just wanted to share this idea with the community.

I like this scenario
I'll hope the devs will read this -
Every hex totem will have a different color perk in order for you to knew which perk is on each totem. Of course those colors- aura will be revealed only to the killer.Bravo0413 said:This sounds good up too the hex part.... what's the point? Is haunted grounds going to have a different color too? I see no reason to nerf hexes when they can be removed... the icons would be useful...
I had the idea of message system... where the survivors would write notes to communicate with each other and also use spray paint to graffiti messages and symbols -
We could give the killer possibility to reveal those icons for his own information. Also some people here have also a good suggestions.Bongbingbing said:I mean it's buff solo or nerf SWF and we all know SWF will never be nerfed so I'm all for this. It changes the game completely but let's not pretend that SWF hasn't already done that.
The only problem would be how to buff all killers to a level were they can put up a fair fight against Survivors sharing information like this, It'd have to be a huge buff.
-
Thank you so muchEntità said:Ihatelife said:Currently SWF has an advantages such as:
Informing the friends about who is the killer.
Informing the friends about what are you doing right now.
Informing the friends about that you are being chased by the killer.
Informing the friends about that you are repairing gen or cleansing the totem etc..My first change is to allow solo players to see who and what currently is doing, by adding the three icons to the survivor's gameplay HUD:

How those icons would be work in the gameplay?

In this picture, we can learn about:
Survivor number 1 is doing nothing.
Survivor number 2 is being chased.
Survivor number 3 is repairing a generator.
And survivor number 4 is cleansing a totem. This small change can definitely help solo players to gain an information that SWF already have.
Buff idea for a killers:
Hex totems have a different colors aura in order to known which hex perk is for each hex totem. For example:
Devour Hope - Blue aura
Ruin - Green aura
Haunted Ground - Yellow aura etc..Second change by @TheMadDoctor
Adding an ability to choose the totem placement for the player's hex perk.
Thoughts?
I'd try to combine your brilliant idea with mine, which includes also a buff for killers against powerful SWF: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/46538/definitive-solution-to-bridge-the-swf-killer-solos-gaps
I suggest to add icons for healing and mending, searching a chest or a Jigsaw's box, opening a gate. Icons shall not be revealed to the killer, of course.
-
Maybe, but killers have a lot weird reasons to dodge a lobby. P3 clothes, goofy nicknames, legacy, exclusive items etc..Eveline said:If solos could be in the same league as swf maybe killers wouldn't dodge lobbies anymore lol. -
Tbh different color changes for each hex perk would be very good. So you could already know which hex totem is for each perk.NuclearBurrito2 said:Ok so what if:
Hex totems always spawn attached to the closes dull totem to the killer, the killer can interact with the totem while he is standing next to it to pick it up and can place it in a dull totem later
ToTH's notification becomes base and that perk gets reworked in other ways (such as making dull totems appear as hex totems or something)
Hex: Haunted grounds would ignore the spawning changes and would have a different aura color to other Hex's

I was thinking about if this icons would also be revealed to a killer.fluffybunny said:It could also be possible to include short phrases like Identity V has where you can tell people to do stuff or even mention what you're doing. It could be in the icon feature you suggested. If solo play was buffed to be on the same level as swf and killer was given tools to address both (or just flat buffs), I think that would be ideal.
I think that the killer should be allowed to change a totem's position, would that be OP? For instance if you start off and see it's in a bad position, you can hit a button and change its position at random. If swf sees a totem, you can just move it to someplace else with a button press and so on. It would have a cooldown and can't be used if someone's on it as that'd be weird to be on the totem and it to randomly turn into a dull for instance. If you hit someone off, you can just press the button as you initiate the chase. What do you guys think about that idea?

Sounds reasonable.
What would be killer buffs to compensate?
I didn't think about this tbh... Maybe you have a solution for this?
Hmmmm maybe being allowed to choose where their hex goes, and knowing when someone is working on the hex? I get thrill of the hunt but that’s also a hex perk and feels redundant that we don’t really have too much control over that. Not much but it’s a start. Still, good suggestion, it would be helpful for when I’m going solo.
It would be cool. And maybe the info which hex totem is for which perk?

This map needs a rework.

Oh and pig.
-
Spirit, Myers and Hag.
-
I would also add that they don't save you from the hook to the list. Oh and they also doing nothing while you are being chased or hooked.
-
In this monday? This would meant that we could get a PTB in 19th
I hope so -
Wouldn't be in 19th? Because it would hit perfectly 2 weeks before comes out at live version.

About maps and impossible things.
Try to play with Trappers ability on Lerrys or The Game.
This is impossible. And btw, I can loop the killer 45 second with 1 pallet or window.
And 1 generator solo need 80 seconds.
Should we talk about time in DbD?Tbh I hate play against the trapper, 'cause I get afraid that I step somewhere into his trap XD
Yeah but on The Game you dont step into his traps.
Because you can see them clear.True
-
I'm like okay than, at least I get faster my Spirit to P3

I'd rather get a reward from this by winning the chases, since the Laurie is a type of person that loves being tunneled. And there we go: High risk = High reward.

Kindred should become a passive skill, and the actual perk should be reworked, to bridge, at least partially, the gap between Solos and SWF. Other changes are needed to strengthen killers to the SWF tiers. There is a thread about this, if you are interested in it: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/46538/definitive-solution-to-bridge-the-swf-killer-solos-gaps
I agree.
-
Maybe the new survivor will have a perks to help at this situations. (I doubt it tbh.)
-
Yeah, I watched a lot of people that doesn't run self care and they gen rushed the whole outta the killer. Now I play without SC and now my gameplay style change a little bit. Tbh self care nerf doesn't help to stop gen rush. Idk why the devs even implement this change.

The only problem I have with DS is that it's an obsession perk, right? Well... where is the down side to It? All the other obsession perks have a down side except DS.It'd be a balanced perk if It worked as Deliverance:
After performing a Safe Hook Rescue on another Survivor, the Perk activates.
If you are the Obsession, once per trial, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed at a tremendously/considerably/moderately difficult skill check to escape the killers grasp and stunn them for 3'5 seconds.
If you are not the Obsession, once per trial, while in the Killer's grasp, once the wiggle meter has reached 40 %, succeed at a tremendously/considerably/moderately difficult skill check to escape the killers grasp and stunn them for 3'5 seconds.
After performing an escape from the killer's grasp thanks to DS you gain the Broken Status Effect for 100/90/60 secs.Tbh sole survivor also needs a rework. I don't think that Laurie is a type of scumbag person that want everyone to be dead. This perk also needs to have an downside and an other reward for blocking aura.

Interesting trend is the devs seem to make a killer and perks to go along with things that people have been complaining about.Prior to Legion's release, I saw a lot more SWF complaint threads and lots of body blocking and pallet threads. But Legion came with a perk to "counter" body blocking, their ability can "counter looping" and "punishes survivors for being together, which often SWFs do.
Gen Rush has been the big complaint more so after Legion was released, so perhaps it will revolved around gen stalling.
Even though, I wonder why everyone is just now complaining about how quickly the gens can be done. This hasn't changed for the longest time, and it's just now being brought up as an "issue". How many DLCs and this is just now a problem?
Ya'll are slow.
I wonder if we get something to counter tunneling or camping? Or maybe something useful for the solo survivor? And maybe something good to slow the gens for the killer?

At least it's pretty. It was prettier in PTB, but this is just only my opinion.

Hmmmm McLean plays the Freddy very often...I wonder why.
-
When I unhook myself with deliverance. Still feels so good, even if this isn't the kobe.
-
Because the gens are only the obligatory objectives to do for survivors in order to win.
I forgot to mention that making them is boring as hell. -
I wouldn't bother if they could make more balance updates instead of DLC.

@se05239 @HatCreature @AlwaysInAGoodShape @Orion @ToxicFengM1n @IhatelifeOkay. Picture this: Instead of the perk not activating in a chase, the perk deactivates once you're within 24 meters of a survivor. BUT, the perk wouldn't show you if you are or aren't in 24 meters of a survivor. No perk glow indication and no haste effect removal notification. What then?
I understand what you mean. Idk...players will still know when they are slower or faster. So this perk would be a better version of whispers.

Okay but what should DS give to the killer? After use should it expose the others for such and such time? Should it hinder the gen progression of the user by a certain amount of percent?Hmmm in my opinion it should give the killer a bloodlust, after the survivor escape by the DS. Because the killers are simply in this situation raged right? So logically their bloodlust would be increased. But this is of course my thoughts about this.
-
If I was you in your place than I would choose the hag from 3 reasons:
Ruin, her power is very powerful and fun to play. -
Agreed. I don't have nothing more to say.

Mathieu said on the spotlight that when the survivor becomes an obssesion, killer and himself gets a benefits from this. HOWEVER, decisive strike gives only a benefits to the obsession, killers doesn't get anything from this.
So what about if we rework the DS in that way, when they both gets a benefits from this?He means michael's perks benefit from it
Dying light is an obsession perk, stbfl is a obsession perk, etcSole survivor and decisive strike are also an obsession perks. If this mechanic is supposed to give a both sides benefits from this, than it should work that way. Not only giving a benefits to a survivor, when the killer run some obsession perk.
Dying light will make an obsession, like all perks in its category, so it benefits killer and survivor, also I re-read it and he means some of the perks, sorry, dying light benefits survivor and killer, killer kills the obsession, earns regression, survivor heals with it, gains a progression boost
Okay, but I don't understand why the DS and sole survivor doesn't benefit a killer. Even the Laurie's description said: ''Her personal perks grant her a powerful survival abilities at the cost of leaving her exposed.'' But decisive strike doesn't have any expose or downside. You get my point?
Yeah, but ooo does
Yes OoO is actually a fair obsession perk, even with this lockers abuse,
-
I think solo survivors should already have a things that SWF have. Base Kindred 2 as you said and ability to see who is in the chase at the moment. I mean if we can't nerf SWF, let's at least buff solo players to the same level as them.
