Wait, so that means they DO seperate players from different Xbox and Play Station versions. Because i'm playing actually on Xbox Series X with crossplay on and was able to get crossplay matches the last few days. That beeing said, if you deactivate crossplay on Xbox Series X or PS5, you're not even get matched with Xbox One / S/ Series S or PS4 / Pro players. Which is really bad if you don't want to crossplay as the playerbase on Xbox Series X and PS5 is really small atm. And that means crossplay is kinda forced on the new consoles.
This wasn't a secret and was openly admitted since their D1 release. I remember @MandyTalk saying it quite a bit.

Yeah but without NOED adrenaline gives you a whole extra health state if you were injured and the 150% speed boost overlaps over other exhaustion so dead hard into adrenaline is brutal if coordinated! (Ik that's reliant on SWF but more people play SWF than don't, plus it happens to me a lot in solo just by accident)
Oh I'm not trying to disprove it's strength; adrenaline is in my top 3 most hated perks to go against for a reason, after all. It's an incredibly good perk.
I was just saying why I believe Hope to be marginally better- any non-115% killer can be looped for 2 straight minutes whilst it's active, and even 115% killers struggle to catch up without NOED. Adrenaline's free health state is... frustratingly good, to say the least, but I just personally think Hope is ever so slightly better (and also I hate it a lot less lol).

Yeah I agree with the main portion of the match thingy but making it any longer than 60s would be suuuper busted in endgame scenarios, like old MoM levels of busted :D
Nothing will reach old MOM level of busted, rather thankf-
Actually no Yakuyoke/MDR Spirit does come pretty close. Aside from that, nothing will ever reach old MOM level of busted, incredibly thankfully.

Well i remember seeing the WIP on stream saying it would be removed by getting heal.
It says, and I quote, "Healing". On twitter this was confirmed to mean "healing yourself and others". It only triggers on actions you perform. If other survivors heal you, it does not deactivate.

Mhh the timer needs to have a limit, otherwise you are guaranteed an escape during endgame no matter what if you get unhooked with a gate open or hatch spawning close after haha
At which point, like with a bt save, you could chase the unhooker. Alternatively if the team didn't open the gates and only 99'ed them the recently unhooked survivor opens the gates their ds is gone.
Or the devs could implement some other measure to ensure that it doesn't activate in endgame.
However during the main portion of the match it quite literally doesn't matter how long the ds timer is. If you don't tunnel they can't use it.

Totally agree but 180 would be way overkill donΒ΄t you think? :D
And yeah if your routing is good you can easily extend the chase for 5-6 minutes on new Gideon, itΒ΄s hillarious haha
Not really. What are they gonna do for those 3 minutes? They can't progress the game in the slightest without losing their perk.
######### it, make it 20 minutes long. At tier 1. And the timer doesn't decrease when in the dying state. It doesn't matter because they cannot progress the game at all with their perk active and if they spend 20 minutes doing absolutely nothing you've literally already won the match.

No not right now but it will, at least that what the WIP of the DS changes showed.
That's what I'm talking about. Getting healed by another survivor will not remove your ds timer, as confirmed by the devs on twitter.

Well the perk will be useless against tunnel. I love that working on a gen or unhooking someone else or healing yourself cancel the perk but getting heal shouldn't for example.
Even with the current DS there are tunneling killers but even now DS is not an anti-tunnel perk. It just need to have a cooldown of 60 sec stopping if the survivor is getting chased, so it truly punish tunnelers and not killer who just downed an other survivor and get to down the DS user in less than 60 sec (which is the main complain killer have right now, getting called tunneler when they just downed an two survivor in less than 60 sec...basically for doing their job)
Also i wonder if by healing self mending is take into count ? coz if yes then Legion is about to get played even more just so you can Frenzy and deactivate survivor's DS then tunnel them.
Getting healed by another survivor doesn't cancel ds.
If you're self caring by the hook then that's a you problem when they return and honestly one of the dumbest moves you can do.
Mending is not a healing action and so won't be taken into account. If it was, it'd be affected by Botany Knowledge and Desperate Measures, similar to how Snap Out Of It and Waking Up used to be (and subsequently were revealed with Nurse's lol)
Also, the timer for DS doesn't matter now. They could legitimately make it 10 minutes and it wouldn't make a lick of difference due to it deactivating as soon as someone progresses the game. 60 seconds isn't enough to properly stop tunneling and it should honestly be infewsed to like, 180 at minimum because if you get, say, the new Game map and drop every pallet your chase will last well beyond 60 seconds.

Does this mean that the reason Survivor Queues have been so fast, is because we lost the XBone population?
Depends entirely on your location. Rn queues for me are instant for survivor and about 30 years long for killer because a lot of the survivor population just, understandably, isn't playing with the current desync issues. These queues have been instant for like a week and a half so I don't think it was losing the xbone population that did it.

The issue is, whilst it may not be fun, as you yourself stated against decent survivors a killer must tunnel to actually get any sort of pressure. If they don't, they often get at best a 2k at best if they don't mess up further. It may be unfun, but so is sitting on gens and not doing anything else. So is 4 min games. If killers have to put up with all that, then why can't survivors handle tunneling (which they have a tonne of perks against) and patrolling or slugging ( again have a tonne of perks against e.g soul guard or UB.)
That's what the OP advocated for. Fixing tunneling by implementing alternative, better strategies. Make 12 hook games significantly more viable and much more rewarding. Make tunneling and camping less viable and less rewarding and no an emblem penalty doesn't do anything. Balance out weaker killers so they can be on-par with stronger ones, balance out survivor perks so the weaker ones and stronger ones are closer in power, the whole shebang. That's literally what op wanted from reading their post.

hope isn't better than adrenaline hope = adrenaline
Adrenaline is a short burst of speed and health. It's a very good perk in endgame but imho Hope is better because any killer that isn't 115% can be looped permanently without getting Bloodlust around a single prop due to the 7% movement speed bonus Hope grants.

Dident get any hits no gens were being done so I dcd as I actually wanted a fun game. If I want to play hide and seek il download a hide and seek game. So now that I had to dc coz I was getting bored I have to wait an hour before I can get back in any game. Its a joke
If they refused to partake in the normal gameplay loop for 25 minutes or more it's classed as holding the game hostage and is a bannable offence.

My friend has specs far above those required to play the game and consistently has his game crash in-game, in lobbies, in the store, when booting up; whenever.
He's also received a ban from the forums and subsequently cannot report any of these because of the no alternate accounts policy.
Which, when he's been kicked and/or had his game crash to the point of a 30 minute penalty, can be pretty annoying

Unironically Surge and Mindbreaker on Nurse are some top-tier perks. Base: 4% which means 12% if you try 3 times so you will Kobe at least once every 9 games with maxed out slippery meat about halves the games but there is a 4% chance you will still fail but that's only counting one half the second half doubles your chances giving you a Kobe every 2 or 3 games open handed gives you an extra 18% giving you a 66% chance there can be 4 in play giving you an over all 120% chance Vigo's jar of salty lips increases your chance by 3% it stacks giving you overall 132% chance and luck adds together so it doesn't increase it giving you a 56% chance per attempt at max
Sorry if my math is a little off but this about the luck you get
This is actually wrong, though I wish it were this simple.
Base
The actual odds are calculated differently, because each attempt is known as an independant event. It doesn't take into account any previous attempts, or any future attempts; the odds remain a fixed 4/100 (1/25) chance of escaping with every attempt.
The chance of failure is 24/25, or 0.96. This is rolled three times, and so the chance for one survivor to fail all 3 of their hook attempts is (0.96)^3 or 0.884736. To figure out the chance of escaping one of those attempts, you then do 1-0.884736, or 0.115264. 11.5264%
Therefore the chance for one survivor out of four to successfully escape is calculated at 1-((0.96)^12) or 0.38729024267. 38.729024267%
Slippery Meat
This perk not only increases luck but also the chances to escape. For the sake of simplicity, I'll just work from the highest perk tier (+3 attempts, +4% luck).
This means that the chance of failure is now 92/100, or 0.92. This is rolled 6 times, and so the chance for one survivor to fail all 6 escape attempts is (0.92)^6, or 0.606355001344. The chances of escaping one of those attempts is 1-0.606355001344, or 0.393644998656. 39.3644998656%
Therefore the chance for one survivor out of four, all of whom use the perk, to successfully escape is calculated at 1-((0.92)^24), or 0.86482142738880985506033742771064. 86.482142738880985506033742771064%
Naturally these odds differ when there's a combiantion of perk users.
Luck offerings
The maximum luck offering that can be burned is Vigo's Jar Of Salty Lips, which increases luck for all survivors by 3%. For the sake of simplicity, I'm going to assume that 4 VJOSL were burnt.
The chance of failure is now 84/100, or 21/25. This is rolled 3 times. The chance for a complete failure is (0.84)^3, or 0.592704. The chances of escaping one of those attempts is 1-0.592704, or 0.407296. 40.7296%
Therefore the chance of one survivor out of four to escape is calculated at 1-((0.84)^12), or 0.87658969298. 87.658969298
Up the ante
There are many different combinations of luck this perk can give, and so for my own sake I'm going to assume one survivor uses this perk at T3, and all 4 survivors remain alive in the trial.
Fail chance = 0.87, rolled 3 times. Total fail = 0.658503, chance for escape in one attempt = 0.341497. 34.1497%
Total chance in a match = 0.81196831779.
Also here is 4 survivors with the perk, with 4 alive.
Fail chance = 100-(0.09*4) = 100-0.36 = 0.64, rolled 3 times.
Total fail = 0.262144, chance to escape one attempt = 0.737856. 73.7856%
Total chance in a match = 0.995277633517130354786304. 99.5277633517130354786304
Combinations of luck gets really confusing and annoying really quickly so I'm saving myself the trouble. The numbers get really big and clunky to work with.
if you want to work it out for yourself, here's the forumula:
1-(chance of failure)^[total attempts made].
TL;DR
OP got the maths wrong, here's luck but not combined together because I can't be bothered:
Base = 11.5% solo, 38.7% for 1 of the 4.
SM 3= 39.4% solo, 86.5% for 1 of the 4.
VJOSLx4 = 40.7% solo, 87.7% for 1 of the 4.
UTA 3x4 = 73.8% solo, 99.5% for 1 of the 4.
Have fun guys.

Repressed Alliance can't actually be used if there's another survivor on the generator unfortunately :(

On a serious note, though, it's because flashlight saves are the most satisfying, rewarding, and fun thing to do as survivor in current DBD, especially when I just happen to be in the right place at the right time. They're an easy way to farm boldness points, chain blinding is amazing, and you can pull off some rediculous ######### that for some reason works. For example, stun a killer, blind them, slow vault the pallet, fast vault back over and they swing. Not the most practical but funny as #########, and that's why we play a game, right? To have fun.

That was an attempt at a shack pallet save to prevent someone from being hooked in the basement.
Worth the try (even though it was slighty too far).
Probably not as good as you think you are if this is the example you're using to blame your teamates.
This is the example that I had saved; unlike some people I don't record every single game, and have Shadowplay enabled just for some moments. As it turns out there was an exploitable bug this game, hence why I Shadowplayed it and thought "why the hell not" and turned it into a gif, which I then made a meme post about called something like 'Welcome to soloq'.
It was obvious from the pickup start to anyone who knows actual spacing that it wouldn't have saved but trust me when I say I've had significantly worse happen.
Probably not as good as you think you
Ask like @Jyn_Mojito or @lowiq I call myself an awful survivor all the time lmao. I'm just, apparently, better than a lot of rank 10s because that's what the system thinks I should be paired with at rank 1.

Your point is that you are the best at everything and never make a single mistake. Everyone else is below you. I get it.
And sorry to break it to you but you will never be able to control how your teammates preform. And even if you are paired with all the red ranks you will still see similar things happen.
Maybe just maybe play the game and adapt, let others do the same because crying about it won't change how others play the game. Or play swf.
Or play swf
Don't worry that game was one of the last solo survivor games I ever played, because it's genuinely unbearable with the current matchmaking.
Your point is that you are the best at everything and never make a single mistake. Everyone else is below you. I get it.
I could tag several members of this forum who are infinitely better survivors than I am, if you wanted, or better than me in other ways. I in no way think I'm the best at everything, only Pyramid Head, and I'm well aware of whenever I make mistakes and know how to improve on them in future. Perfect people don't make mistakes.

It's only screwed up on the survivor's end. You as a killer have no way of knowing where they were on their screen unless you had Franklin's and they had an item.
To be fair, Franklin's actually shows where the server thinks the hit took place from my knowledge and so with this current desync it's gotten pretty damn rediculous just hitting someone, turning around and seeing their item literally on the other end of the tile.

No. There is functionally zero difference between the Obsession and other survivors unless the killer is using an Obsession perk, those being Save The Best For Last, Play with your Food, Dying Light, Remember Me, Rancor, Dark Devotion, Furtive Chase, Nemesis, and Dead Man's Switch. All of these perks with the exception of Remember Me reward a playstyle of allowing the Obsession to remain in the trial (though Dead Man's Switch does incentivise hooking the Obsession, it wants them alive for more DMS procs and not dead).

In this order:
1) Pyramid Head
I adore his gameplay so much, his playstyle, his existence, his appearance, etc. I've been hooked since he released.
2) Wraith
He's fun to play and I simp.
3) Bubba
Speed Limiter only, the ######### meme potential is astronomical and I love it.
4) Freddy
The killer I play when I wanna win, he's strong, I can play with my brain switched off, and still partially fun.
5) Nurse

I'm well aware that lots of people do it, however it just seemed to be every Pig player, whilst it was just a percentage of other killers.
It's probably because Pig isn't played all too much at red ranks, for obvious reasons.

Tried everything with addons, The Pig just can't keep up. I got Rank 2 with the Pig (1 pip away from Rank 1) and I really enjoyed it, especially with the Make Your Choice, Pop and Surveillance combo which really forces the Pig to not tunnel and camp but in the end it is fighting a losing battle.
I really would like the traps to take more time to remove so that it can actually slow down the game a lot more.
It is just a difficult killer to consistently win with I think. If someone wins a lot of Pig games they can prob pickup any other killer and do better.
I really like the pig though :'(
I'm gonna go play some Pig now.
Good luck buddy :)

Trapping them stops them getting away because they always need to get the trap off. It also makes the victim exhausted and blind with the right addons which makes it easier to kill that survivor.
I found that the traps don't slow the game enough, I think the trap removal time needs increasing to make The Pig more balanced.
Killing one person quickly means that I don't get looped for ages only to hook one person and have to find a different for a total of like... 6 times before I finally get a complete kill.
I don't want or not want to tunnel, I just play the game, have fun and win games.
I don't have Pyramid head yet.
I guess that makes sense- from a non Pig player perspective have you thought about sticking on Jigsaw's Sketch or something to increase box number? I think it's Crate Of Gears that slows down searching time? That may help if you don't wanna tunnel cause you can increase the time they spend off gens travelling to boxes.
-
@Jaffycake said:
The Pig is a hard Killer to be successful with consistently.
One day I realised that if I tunnel the first trapped survivior and kill them quickly I end up killing more survivors and winning more games, which is fun for me and it makes me a better killer.
But then what's the point in trapping them? The whole purpose of RBTs from my knowledge and what other Pig mains have said on this thread is to slow the game down by removing them from gens because they need to search boxes. So why then keep focusing on the one person who's not doing generators instead of the 3 that are?
Also, if you want to tunnel that badly, why play Pig (one of the killera that benefit the most from spreading the damage instead of focusing a single target) and not, say, Pyramid Head, the one killer in the game who is the literal best at tunneling (unfortunately).
