I don't know if you'd be interested in my memories here, some are sad as we've seen a lot over the years.
I remember the post regarding David King and how much it meant to someone about the representation, and it was so well written and heartfelt it really stuck with me. And made me look at things in a different light.
We've had some good times and bad and its been nice seeing you all through this time.
I obviously have my fair share of issues, I think as does everyone, but I will never forget the kindness you personally showed me in September 2020. I was incredibly young and, tbh, joined these forums long before I should've, but it's led to some incredible friendships I'd never have made elsewhere. I'll always be greatful for this place creating the most welcoming space for serious discussion in 2018, in an era dominated by toxic swf bully squad knockoffs being the most watched content on YouTube. Not to mention, Cheers, and the incredible kindness the community, and you yourself, showed me during that time.
I'm beyond heartbroken it won't be archived, but I've made my Screenshots if nothing else. Thank you for giving me somewhere I could grow and find myself for 8 years, and thank you for letting me know Dan.
We're Gonna Live Forever 💪💪

I hadn't even finished schooling or moved yet back when I was conversing with him (though I was very into SCP at the time, if you remember me), MusicNerd pushing me back into reading did a lot for my hobbies and personal aspirations. Wish the guy the best!
It's so insane to me that I joined these forums at such a young age, and now I've gotten my degree, been through several jobs and am living in an entirely different country! I know it seems crazy because it's just a games forum but this place has been with me through thick and thin and I'm genuinely sad to see it all go. All the old threads, all the laughs, all the arguments - it feels like losing something special. I hope BHVR lock it down but keep it up so we can still view everything, at least for a little while.
If nothing else, it's some of the last online presence of some very dear fallen friends. MusicNerd, NancyMain, Cheers, etc. have all sort of disappeared off the face of the earth, but I wouldn't be who am I today without these people or without this place.

Been a long time, but thanks as well to @MusicNerd_TC. You introduced me to The Dark Tower series, and it eventually led to me reading over a quarter of Stephen King's catalogue.
Really puts things into perspective to think about just how many years I've conversed with some of you.
GOD MusicNerd, that's a name I haven't heard in ages! Absolute G, changed his name in solidarity with Cheers, I hope he's doing well

god, there's genuinely too many to name. too many people ive met and bonded with over this game, over these forums. how does one compress 8 years worth of memories into a single callout post; im bount to miss someone, so i genuinely wont even try. if ive ever interacted with you, if youve read the fluffy animal thread, if the stream summaries helped in any way, then good! ill miss this place, and ill miss you all, and ill miss being able to post things to https://twitter.com/DbdForum if i ever remember the password. spoiler, that was me all along LOL
i appreciate im not as active as i once was, but if you ever wanna reach out, you can find me on twitch, twitter, steam, in-game (steam name +#31ba), discord (karu_tc), reddit; im everywhere unfortunately. im always down to game & im a LOT less insufferable elsewhere, i promise. oh! and do come join us over on fog dwellers! itd be lovely seeing some more people there - idk if im allowed to paste the link but message me for details lol
but, and i dont think this will surprise anyone, i cant end this without mentioning @Cheers by name. we're gonna live forever, buddy.

the end of an era. RIP to the dbd forums and this 8 year old account lol
anyone feel like trying to beat my post count record before shutdown?

i agree in theory only so much as solos cannot see perks in the pre-game lobby. once you're able to co-ordinate builds (if this ever gets added, which i truly hope it does) you'll be able to see that 1/2 people are already using the perk, so you should swap it out of your build. otherwise, it runs the risk (like it currently is, tbh) of being like old old borrowed time, where the perk was so good surely at least someone on your team would run it, and then nobody did. when (if) we get this change, this is a fine precedent to set imo.

It basically works like earlier. Hit 4 great skill check while injured - automatically spends 4 tokens and you get self heal option with 100% increased self healing speed. It's super fast. I think it's like 8 seconds? But like I said earlier it's still dependent on odds of the skill checks from gen. It's nice with hyperfocus and this is not happening
ah i see, so useless in endgame and importantly impossible to hold onto ad infinitum. has good synergy with one-two-three-four and can now be combo'd with healing others and yourself for a big group reset. i think it should be fine; thanks
-
I'd actually argue Windows remains a new-player perk with this change. With it equipped, new players will be able to learn map spawns through tiles, since MOST** jungle gyms which may be confusing spawn with windows + pallets. For example, Suffocation Pit will still be much more manageable with Windows equipped, as a window doesn't break, despawn, or move in any way, unlike pallets. Five Moves Ahead remains the "upgraded" veteran-friendly perk, granting information as and when needed (at the start of a chase, so you know where to run to) and showing you the location of deplete-able resources. Pallets can be dropped, can be broken, can be reset and even rebuilt; better players in solo queue will get much more value out of it by knowing the immediate safety spawns. The cooldown on Windows could maybe be tied just to the vault speed bonus (or have it be removed entirely, alongside the vault bonus) to stick with it being a new player perk, but overall I think it'll do the job of removing a lot of the reliance that survivor players have on that perk. It's very frustrating facing someone who's obviously just using Windows to think for them, and being unable to really do anything about it because pallet density pre-dropping renders your killer worthless, like clown, ghostface, legion, etc.

Road life is fine, but it's still dependent from RNG of skill checks
im very interested in how it works (again, i havent been able to test it yet) - does self-healing consume all 4 tokens? and if it doesn't, what speed is the self-heal at normally? if it's a 16 second self-heal which doesn't consume the tokens, thus making it infinite, then it obviously needs to go; if it's a 16 second self-heal which consumes all tokens, then it'll still be strong but useless in endgame. likewise, if it's at self-care speeds but infinite with the option to consume all 4 tokens for a 100% healing speed boost then it's a sidegraded self-care. it's one of the few i'm iffy on (alongside new monstrous shrine on very high-mobility killers, like blight or billy).

@Obscura said:
That will for sure not shake up the meta perks.
neither will nerfing only the strongest perks, as we saw with 6.1.0. that patch didn't even achieve taking self-care out of the meta; it was already on its way out of the west's meta rotation when the patch hit, while eastern servers continue to run it religiously. i'd rather they take this route of giving us more good options, instead of simply taking options away (or replacing the best options with other obviously best options, cough overbrine cough). botany doesn't have to be hit for someone to decide they want to try buffed do no harm, and pgtw doesn't have to die again for someone to consider trying new undone.

I send the beam towards the survivor first then look away and blindly guess where they are without looking at them, the other is where you send it behind you then look at the survivor and shoot it while staring at them. MB for it being a bit hard too read previously
No I do it that way too LMAO I send it behind them and rotate 180 to flick back towards them/flick 90 to send it hurtling round a loop to get them. Genuinely the most fun I've had since release Sadako, maybe First coming close. Just give us more Zealous curve window so I can get better at the 180 flicks lol

Unfortunately, I apparently have been learning slingshots wrong for the past three hours where I have been doing them in reverse where you send it towards the survivor then flick behind you where you can't see them anymore.. BUT it has worked in my favor as NOBODY EXPECTS THE UNEXPECTED!!!
I have asked multiple players about this and it did indeed confuse them when they are used to the more optimal version of the slingshot and therefore its harder to dodge.. Especially since you have to look away from the killer to dodge so you won't know when to dodge, as not even I know when I am going to send out my power.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4111962#Comment_4111962
Also little tip for multifloor maps just send your power to the edge of a stairwell and it will instantly drop down to the lower floor, you can continue to flick from there. Again most people don't expect something from directly above them to suddenly appear on the same floor as them.
Wait, you're not meant to slingshot like that? What the hell have I been doing then lol?
Also usually that's fine to do, but when you load into forgotten ruins it's just sort of ggs guess I'll die, because there's no real way down and those portals make being 110 a nightmare unless you get the sickest 2tap of your life
-
i wouldnt say so. theres definitely a learning curve and shadow step hits a lot of builds hard but i think shes pretty good atm. maybe giving a little more flick duration during zealous would be lovely but asides from letting her shoot down so as to go beneath a floor theres not much id change atm.

why are we happy about? he can just camp basement hook easily now like Artist, Bubba, Hilly but her crows can be countered with flashlight and other survivor or he could camp basetment stairs with his power before this change? I kinda forgot you can remind and downvote if I'm wrong
just quickly, exe could easily camp basement before this change. if you stood at the top of the stairs (on a flat surface, not the actual stairs) your power would travel downwards and get the double hit easily. If you stood on the stairs just slightly, your power would do nothing. This "fix" makes it a lot more consistent, and a lot easier, but it's not something he was unable to do beforehand.

I think i saw someone mention that this along with say, the pyramid head change are similar. If you look at the hints section on pyramid head, it specifically states that his power doesn't go up hills and to "use that to your advantage" when getting hints as a survivor.
We have likely reached the point now where old devs have left and new devs now don't know what is a feature and what is a bug at times.
For example here is the hint page of pyramid head:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/0VK7N24MXZ1Z/image.png
The implication there being that it literally was never a bug and was an intended feature of the power.
It's so peculiar - genuinely my only thought is that a new player, who didn't know it was intended, reported it as a bug and then a new(er) dev, who also didn't know it was intended, fixed it and reported it as a bugfix despite being intentional for multiple years.
-
without sony making the effort there's not really anything bhvr can do. even if a couple of lists were merged or deleted, this would only be temporary and eventually they'd hit this cap again. it's unfortunately entirely on sony to act and increase/uncap the trophy limit
-
See this one I sort of get, as Corrupt does specifically say "when you down a survivor", and someone downing themselves with Plot Twist isn't you specifically downing them, but I wish they'd have fixed this sooner. It's not like people were on the PTB testing if this worked and it's not like BHVR wouldn't have known about it. Alternatively, keep the interaction and change the wording on Corrupt to be whenever any survivor is downed by any means. It's a fun thing that imo should've been kept around.
Same with the Exe change to allow POTD to go uphill - genuinely one of the biggest buffs I could've ever asked for, hidden as a bugfix, despite the verticality part of Exe's kit being the same since the 4.0.0 PTB in May of 2020. Why did it take you 6 years and 3 months to fix this bug?
-
i also think its worth remembering a big MMR reset happened today, which has been overshadowed by quite a few things today. sure it can hold a 3gen quite well, but imo its similar counterplay to twins where if you stick together you can stay healed and if you split the gens it cannot get across the map to kick everything all the time. with terrible teammates this strategy will seem incredibly overbearing, but i do think itll settle once people start to climb the ranking again and get slightly better teammates

Do people not like exe? He takes a bit of skill to play as and is pretty fun to predict when going against.
a lot of people say hes clunky, powercrept, and inefficient to play as, and to play against a lot of exe players just go only for safe shots so its a case of zone-until-you-die, get tunnelled through the cages, and hold w/pre-drop.
not me though. he will be p100 in 3 hours and 38 minutes time when this lobby changes.

my response is almost certainly biased but i hope it helps exe achieve a score of more than 1.5

i agree with this. its this year myself that i have been able to change my perspective after playing for 10 years and getting very upset when i have tough games or losing.
i know it sounds silly but it is just a game and none of that matters. idk how long youve played but youve no doubt won dozens of games. how many of them do you actually remember?
how many of your losses do you actually remember? not much right?
When a survivor is undownable just realise "does this actually matter enough to get emotionally invested into"?
and one thing ive found is, if im not tilted, i play far far better. and when i dont feel like my self worth is tied to whether i won game number 5, then even when i have been obliterated i am still having a fun time in the match because why am i only allowed to have fun if i win?
if i recognise that i am outmatched, i make an active decision to make winning not what im interested in doing and instead its to just chill, play the game and see if i can have some fun moments with survs.
when i have been outmatched ill try to indicate to a surv to stick at a loop and keep doing that pallet or whatever so that i can practice that loop against someone who is running it better than i can run it.
yes, all the gens are going to go, yes im going to lose the game. and i have lost ALOOOOOOT of games doing this. but because i wasnt trying to win, and i made an active effort to reaffirm that winning or losing doesnt matter(it genuinly doesnt even if we FEEL it does)
the weird reality is this. when i started using huntress and actually learning her, if i had played in my older ways of getting mad because i got stunned or blinded or lost 2 gens on a chase or had a 4 man out i would be crap at huntress right now.
When i played huntress and i did nothing in game but m2 and refused to m1 under any circumstance even if it lost me the game and me getting a surv to undertsand im not wanting to down you so much as run loops with you so i can practice has led to me having a pretty vicious huntress now when i do put some effort in.
every game i lose is just gonna lead to another game i win.
and who cares if a surv tbagged? i used to get so worked up over that. now i undertsnad that a tbag is just the surv not making distance and if its in end gate and they are tbagging, its only an issue if you let it be.
a tbag is just an animation. it only MEANS something if YOU decide that you should be upset over the animation. and that silly to get mad over an animation. the animation doesnt DO anything so why should i get mad?
We as players and humans have to understand when we should respect our emotions and negative feelings. its not healthy or very reasonable to get as upset as we do at many of the things in game but we do. but its on us as humans if we want to grow to recognise when you are letting unhealthy emotions rule over you. and the dbd community is rife with that.
I used to contantly launch the game, look at the killer roster and then close the game.
Now, im having fun in my games whether im having 4k noob stomp(i dont find noob stomping fun, i do like some challenge) or getting bent over and spanked by a team of juicers.
and i know it seems like the "just dont care" talking point but i guess the thing is is that its just correct. stop caring so much about your own performance. stop caring if the survs whine about how you played. those are people who also just get tilted over everything and their opinions dont matter. play the game you paid for. its a game, not a job
LITERALLY THIS. It all felt so real and personal over covid when this game was all I had to get me through some of the toughest years of my life. But I got a job, started uni, FINISHED uni (and ######### aced it), and the whole thing truly put into perspective just how little impact DBD truly has on my life. If I feel myself getting tilted, even in a SWF, I tell my mates I need five and I'll go and stand up and crack a can of Pepsi and just... Not. I don't need this game anymore and that has reduced it to just a game, which is all it ever really should be.

Oh I'm not disagreeing, I just wanted to let them know that they should be prepared for the potential backlash from said individuals.
I loved old BBQ and WGLF bonus because it could potentially promote a decent game rythym.
I appreciate the concern, but don't worry about me. I've been slogging through these forums since 2018 and I think (don't fact check me) I have the highest post count for the forums, like, ever lol. I'm always prepared for backlash from this place 🙂↕️🙂↕️
-
I agree, sort of.
The effects should honestly be basekit. Unique hooking someone grants bonus BP, which is removed if you hook the same survivor immediately after. Unhooking a survivor grants bonus BP, which is removed if it isn't a safe unhook. Taking protection hits & getting saves also increases BP gain. Caps out at a bonus of, say, 300% (with each "trigger" granting 25% post-game).
This would incentivise unique hooking, and continuing the hook cycle, encouraging 12 hook games over bleeding out and actually giving killers a reason to hook and deal with the DS/DH/Shoulder etc that comes with not just slugging. Moreover, it would incentivise survivors to play altruistically, taking hits, getting saves, and most crucially not doing generators. The BP being tied to perks kinda sucked - BBQ is to this day my most used killer perk ever despite me not running it since 6.1.0 in 202
12 - because you'd know everyone was using the perks, and you'd feel forced to use the perks - but I genuinely believe that a lot of the more casual players just need another reason to hook (in general), and cycle 12 hooks. Instead of punishing "less desirable" gameplay strategies (ie. holding gens for 65 seconds before attempting an unhook & slugging/tunnelling/camping) we should encourage the "more desirable" strategies instead -
I suffered with this quite hard in 2020/2021, after years of playing it all suddenly hit up until 2025-ish. I'd be playing my absolute best to win, took it as a personal failure if I lost, and overall while I still called myself a killer main there would be a lot more occasions of me opening the game, sitting in the lobby, deciding I didn't want to do it today (and didn't want to touch solo queue with a 10m pole) and closed dbd to play something else. It was at its worse easily in 2022/2023.
But at some point it all just clicked that none of this… matters? DBD is a video game, and it's a video game I care a lot about, and it's a video game I've put a lot of time and effort into getting good at, but it stays a game. I have a life, I have a job, I have people beyond the screen; who actually is going to care if I don't 4k every game? People telling me to jump used to affect me really badly, and now I just feel sorry for them, because I remember what it was like to care this much about a game. Who cares if you get called a sweat by someone you've never met, and will never meet again?
I appreciate this sounds like I'm saying "just grow a pair" in flowery language, so let me clarify I don't just mean to toughen up or anything. But the thing that helped me was realising that it just genuinely did not matter. I'll do more in my life than anyone who sits behind a screen all day insulting people and you can too.
DBD is just a video game. The other people are just playing a video game. There's no real stakes, there's no life or death situation, your family aren't at risk if someone calls you a tryhard; so honestly, who cares what they think?
-
2v8 is a gamemode which has almost nothing for me, and every time it rotates I have to politely turn down my friends excited to play killer with me because I don't see the point in waiting 45 minutes for 1 game. It routinely ruins killer queues in 1v4 while it's on, too. Them adding Exe was great because it finally gives me something to enjoy in 2v8.
There are like 5 of us Exe players out there, let us have this.
-
this is why survivor queues are 49 seconds and killer queues are 9 minutes. because it's so very survivor sided everybody wants to play killer.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/470630/boon-rework
I wouldn't mind a boons buff but current shattered hope should be base kit then (with a completely unique rework) and your rework doesn't work as it's literally would be meta with pentimento cuz it's free 5 stacks on most killers, like you would still be able to boon a different totem and it's more fair with how powerful some of those boons are compared to hex perks (which are gone forever when cleansed).
Also I like your steadfast rework and this would be more like the perk people voted for BUT with stakeout it would be insanely overpowered, especially with hyperfocus which would also be paired and this will just make gen rushing problem worse, like I don't care if survivors gen rush but if I have no slowdown (or only 1 or 2 slowdown perks) then it's just impossible for me to win, games finish in less than 5 minutes with gen rushing and fear of this meta forces me to use full slowdown just to have a chance (even if there's only 2 gen rushers) while I would want to try a fun build with a chance of winning.
So, with point #1, I actually disagree: it wouldn't be a guaranteed Pentimento 5-lock because Penti reveals itself as soon as it enters into force, competent players will realise the killer is just walking around the map destroying totems, and crucially the killer still has to find all totems. They can't rely on hex perks to do this, because the perk doesn't allow them to break hexes, only dulls and boons. By the time they've done this, they've lost too many gens with no hook or chase progress. But I understand the worry with Penti - perhaps just making it so the two don't work together is the best way forwards if it becomes too oppressive (ie. Penti only works on totems which have been cleansed, while shattered hope would destroy them).
And I don't agree it should be made basekit (giving boons a hard use of 5 times only) - if anything doing so would justify buffing boons even further. Hence, the 60s global cooldown (which can obviously be extended if it's too lax) where no blessing can occur as a happy middleman between basekit destroying boons and current.
As for point 2, I don't see how. It doesn't grant any charges beyond what you already have, it only makes the generators unable to regress beyond a certain point. For example, combining with Stake Out and hitting 4 Great Skill checks would grant 4 permanent charges, or just under 5% progress, which cannot be regressed, but does not reduce the overall generator progress required to 86 charges. It remains at 90 charges. It doesn't increase the gen speeds at all.

I've literally just done a post on how I'd change Boons to make them more relevant again, but there are a couple more changes I'd make (not talking about the perks already receiving changes, as I'd like to see how they settle in the meta first).
Pain Resonance:
- Begin the Trial with 4 Tokens. Whenever a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook, consume 1 Token to cause the Generator with the most progress to Explode, lose 11%/13%/15% progress, and begin regressing.
- Reduced total damage to 15%.
- Removed requirement to unique hook to activate; now the first 4 hooks on a scourge hook trigger this perk
- Once all Survivors have been Unique Hooked, if all Survivors remain alive, replenish this Perk's Token count. This effect can be triggered once per trial.
- New effect.
Lithe:
- Press the Activate Ability 1 Button while running, not exhausted, and by a Window to perform a Rushed Vault, after which you gain 50% Haste for 2 seconds.
- Reduced haste from 3s to 2s
- In-turn, made it trigger-able, instead of being activated the first time a vault is performed
- This grants Exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds.
Finesse:
- Perform fast-vaults 20% quicker.
- Removed injured requirement.
- 40s/35s/30s cooldown.
Shoulder the Burden:
- Now grants Exposed permanently until having been put into the Dying State by a Killer 3/2/1 time(s).
- Instead of being exposed for 60/50/40s, this is now permanent until damaged by the killer, applying more pressure on the survivor who uses this perk and removing its synergy with vigil outright.
Specialist:
- Whenever you rummage or unlock a Chest or cleanse or bless a Totem, gain 1 Token, up to a maximum of 6.
- Added the condition of cleansing or booning totems.
- While repairing a generator, hitting a great Skill Check spends all Tokens.
- For each Token spent, the Generator gains 2/3/4 Permanent Charges
- Changed the effect from reducing overall charges needed to granting charges which cannot be regressed, but which leaves the generator at requiring 90 charges to complete.
Fast-Track
- Unhooking another Survivor grants 1 Token, up to a maximum of 1/2/3.
- While repairing, hitting a great Skill Check spends all Tokens.
- For each Token spent, the Generator gains 5 Permanent Charges.
- Same deal as Specialist above.
Unrelated to perks, I'd also add back BBQ's old BP bonus but as a permanent incentive to unique hook:
- Whenever you perform a Unique Hook, increase the bloodpoints earned at the end of the Trial by 25%, up to a maximum of 300%.
- Hooking the same Survivor twice in a row, without downing another Survivor in that time, reduces this bonus by 25%.
- This bonus cannot go below 0%.
- Begin the Trial with 4 Tokens. Whenever a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook, consume 1 Token to cause the Generator with the most progress to Explode, lose 11%/13%/15% progress, and begin regressing.

What is your average kill rate? Are you below the average 60% on Chucky or your average across all killers? Just curious if your matches really are that consistently difficult, or if maybe it’s just a matter of your expectations. Just for reference, I also ask this question to survivor players who are complaining about the game, so it’s not just you 😊
Often it turns out people are doing just fine relative to the target kill/escape rates, and it’s a matter of unrealistic expectations for how often they should be winning. Then there are players who are just on the lower end of the skill curve - that’s true with any game. The game shouldn’t be balanced around the high or low end of the skill curve, but around the middle where a majority of players reside.
You don't have to believe me here, but as his mate I have the advantage of having literally played killer on his account around his house. My stats, for reference:
And I can say, with an admittedly limited sample size, that the matches I've played on his account as substantially harder than the ones I play on mine. Be it as Freddy (with a rather high kill rate), on my main Exe (with still quite a high rate), or with my Chucky (who has a 56% kill rate LMAO), and I genuinely don't know why it is, but playing on his account felt a lot sweatier, a lot more unwinnable on lower-tiers (god bless Exe my goat), and like I was doomed to lose from map RNG.
And again, this is only anecdotal and I can only speak from my experience, but I swear his setup is cursed or something, because by all means I should be getting harder games than him, and yet games on my account are so much easier than on his.

combine it with lullaby to make the skillcheck harder to hit and, more crucially, make any missed skillcheck a free pgtw that doesn't count towards the regression limit.
essentially, you just have to never be on a generator when he's in power or be an absolute goat at skillchecks, which let's be honest most survivors in public games are not

I kinda wish the video actually had more to it. Considering Huntress's lullaby isn't directional and the visual heartbeat at this point is used by basically everyone, I dont see THAT part as problematic since your gonna know when your in range of it no matter what there. They probably didnt want to confuse people with a loud guitar solo since it would come off as chase music. Unfortunately that was basically the only thing the video showed.
i (literally just) dragged my mate into a custom, your wish is my command. i havent touched anything from this recording.

I ain't gonna shout you down, fear not. I'm not advocating for P2W, I'm just confused by prioritization of some folks is all.
i mean… there were no posts on the topic before mine lol. im sorry i can care about multiple things at once?

It IS abit of selective outrage though. Its pretty common knowledge that different SURVIVORS are also different volume levels. Obviously ppl arnt using Ace for his perks, but I wouldn't go as far as to accuse everyone who plays him of being sweaty and "abusing" how quiet he is. While sure you probably have some people who pick their survivors and cosmetics to squeeze every advantage they can, alot of ppl are just using what they think is cool.
youre saying this to me like i havent always said survivors should be the same voice level. and where have i accused people of being sweaty and abusing the skin - i made a post saying the skin was very difficult to hear and pay to stealth (not win). i can hardly be held responsible for what other people are saying. also, ive faced the skin once, and made a post after one game because there was an issue.
also the quietest survivor is ace, who's free on every platform bar pc and costs 2500? 1250? iri shards to purchase on pc. there is no, and will be no, free way to purchase the huntress skin because its licenced.

Kind of baffled by this. Who cares? She's not S tier. Even if she didn't have sound queue's she'd be a B-tier, A-tier on a high end player. Is this really where we're focusing our ire? That a lower tier killer got a benefit from a skin?
I mean don't get me wrong I get it, pay to win is always annoying, but this feels like a meh complaint. Does this skin somehow put her on par with Ghoul, or nurse? Hell does it even put her on par with dracula? I don't think it does. She continues to only be a problem on skilled huntress players, regardless of the sound queues.
Be upset if it pleases you of course, just not sure I understand how this is a priority over things like perk balancing, old killer reworks, etc. But the more you shout about it the more likely they are to address this issue rather than the other ones.On principle I don't think people should be able to get a competitive advantage from purchasing a £15 skin over people who don't necessarily have the disposable income to chuck £15 on a skin in a paid-for game especially during a time where everyone is being squeezed for money from all angles but maybe that's too radical of a thought for the dbd forums

I reckon I'm set for quite some time on Exe
(ft 99 on Legion, 304 on Freddy, 95 on Wraith, 191 on Claudette and 161 on David). I wanna p100 exe but the event lobby is ugly and the Chorus of Sin one looks drop-dead gorgeous so I'm waiting for that so my screenshot looks aesthetic lol

Like if silent Huntress wouldn't be still average to weak killer. :D I don't like skins to make killer better but to make killer good on it's own.
okay so lets just never fix another bug unless its gamebreaking and manifestly alters the balance of the killers what a phenomenal statement

There is a report about this made in the Betahub and I added link to the video into it. Hopefully they fix it soon.
i keep forgetting the betahub exists and then wonder why i cant make bug reports on here anymore LMAO thank you soldier

probably not likely because it's BHVR but the ratio is 4:1 so it might be slightly easier to get but its difficult because surv is really strong rn imo
4 survivors able to progress the challenge to 1 killer able to progress the challenge per match, and killers are hard-capped at a max of 12 per match while healing is theoretically limitless (all survivors just need to hit 3 heals/match to match the best a killer could possibly do)

Even if you've been in the killer queue for 5-10 mins? You get no priority when the match previous was cancelled (but it would be a good feature!)
Honestly? Yes. When I'm playing killer I want to actually play the match, I don't want someone giving up early on and thus I either steamroll the team or farm, both of which are boring and make me wanna play the game less lol. I'd rather deal with someone crashing the lobby (frustrating) than be bored out of my mind.
But honestly I think it should be before the match begins, because lobby dodging is much more manageable than people just giving up and has minimal impact on my games.

I mean some builds are genuinely worth dodging.
I had someone with No Mither + Self Care, I'd love to hear an argument as to why I should've been forced to play with this person. And I agree! Which is why I think it should be in pre-game lobby; those who want to dodge can dodge, its their time they're wasting not mine, and those who'd be prone to give up over every little thing stay out of the games for longer. It's a win-win.

The year is 2020. Freddy, my ride or die, has been reworked and is nothing like his old form, so while still enjoyable just isn't scratching the same itch. Wraith, the first, is still shockingly weak. Then, in June, along comes my saving grace: Executioner.
Everyone called his power weak, clunky, and underwhelming. Having mained old Freddy, when I heard these reviews I just knew I had to try him out. Turns out I found a killer with a phenomenal skill ceiling (just also a high floor) who can hit crazy trickshots while having some of the quickest chases & time-to-kill in the game. His limitations just make him more interesting to me - his unique movement while using rights of judgement, using rights of judgement, the torment trails, the way punishment of the damned moves in little segmented sections, the sound design - everything about it is just incredible. And despite being really good in the micro and lacking movement, he still gives plenty to think about in the macro - who to chase, why, where to chase them to, where to zone people away from, where to torment, where to cage, when to cage, etc. I was promised an underwhelming killer who'd be dead on arrival; I found someone I was determined to make work, and I've mained him ever since.
Long live the Executioner.

If someone quits while the match is loading, it cancels the entire match. So if someone really is DC'ing because of someone's perks (which does not make much sense) they should do it in the match so there is at least a bot.
tbh if someone's willing to crash over their teammates' perks, that's not someone i want in my games, because theyre the type of person who're gonna dc over the slightest inconveniences anyway. and with as much love to the dbd bots as i can possibly muster, id rather not play a match at all than play one doomed from the start because we have a bot at 5.

Interesting idea. Does the combo also work with self care?
I still get the feeling objective great skill checks (300BP) are worth it, but altruism and survival (150BP) take forever.
Can always go Stake Out by itself for extra bp, then bring Inner Strength for 1500 survival per totem cleanse + 500 (I think) for fully self-healing. A healing perk - I like Desperate Measures for the extra unhooking speed too - and then a fourth flexi slot for whatever you're struggling with. Slap on a key + hatch offering for the guaranteed 2000 objective and boom
