Plot Twist / Corrupt Intervention niche interaction was a bug?

This rare interaction has existed for 3 years and is documented in the wiki as an intended feature. But now it is "fixed"? I have a feeling that knowledge of intended interactions/effects is being lost to time…

(The same goes for pallet saves from behind the killer, which no longer works and has never been addressed)

While I always found it odd that niche interaction existed(not that I actively hated it it was just my brain saying "wait... I didn't knock anyone" kind of odd)

actively not looking at it for years, then suddenly changing it and labeling it a fix.. is a bit weird?

  • every time I took no mither+ plot twist I'd go the whole day without seeing Corrupt.

Nic Cage is too funny for dbd and it's not even the first time as he got Steve nerfed :P

Nicks perks are exactly why he was my first P100, that kinda stuff is my favorite in this game, like Adam Francis Pebble or Deception too but Nicks perks are a tier up, I hope when they add Art The Clown he brings some ridiculously funny killer perks to the game, idk who else could

  • Yet things like Wraith with Turn Back The Clock and Serpant Soot add on is deemed intended. Its always in the same direction.

  • I used to run this every once in a while and now I am sad lol

  • See this one I sort of get, as Corrupt does specifically say "when you down a survivor", and someone downing themselves with Plot Twist isn't you specifically downing them, but I wish they'd have fixed this sooner. It's not like people were on the PTB testing if this worked and it's not like BHVR wouldn't have known about it. Alternatively, keep the interaction and change the wording on Corrupt to be whenever any survivor is downed by any means. It's a fun thing that imo should've been kept around.

Same with the Exe change to allow POTD to go uphill - genuinely one of the biggest buffs I could've ever asked for, hidden as a bugfix, despite the verticality part of Exe's kit being the same since the 4.0.0 PTB in May of 2020. Why did it take you 6 years and 3 months to fix this bug?

I think i saw someone mention that this along with say, the pyramid head change are similar. If you look at the hints section on pyramid head, it specifically states that his power doesn't go up hills and to "use that to your advantage" when getting hints as a survivor.

We have likely reached the point now where old devs have left and new devs now don't know what is a feature and what is a bug at times.

For example here is the hint page of pyramid head:

The implication there being that it literally was never a bug and was an intended feature of the power.

You can see this in recent fixes for Deathbound and Plot Twist - something is fixed but then it clearly doesn't work as intended anymore - and any experienced player can tell immediately. The new bugs are then being mistaken for the "fixed" bug and it starts getting lost in the sauce.

    Example: https://app.betahub.io/projects/pr-5642738318/issues/g-192560

It's so peculiar - genuinely my only thought is that a new player, who didn't know it was intended, reported it as a bug and then a new(er) dev, who also didn't know it was intended, fixed it and reported it as a bugfix despite being intentional for multiple years.
