Missing with a FF attack is depleting the entire bar btw.
Also you still lose your entire bar when hit by a pallet outside of FF.
Missing an attack, while in FF, causing the entire power bar to be depleted is intended.

Oh alright, yeah those are the ones I thought you were referring too. I really like the Spirit but all this garbage, plus sound issues with a ton of other things in game, really make it impossible for me to play her.
-
Which Spirit bugs are you talking about exactly? Like, anything specific? I know of some of her bugs I'm just curious because there may be some I'm not aware of. lol
-
Because the EGC is somehow a buff for Killers?
Also, as @Orion said, do Generators. Best counter to a camping Killer is to pop all the gens while their face is inside the hooked survivor.
-
Nerf may be a strong word, some liked the change, but I loved her weird wiry hair and being able to see her pig face more.
-
I don't play her either but they could at least fix her janky af Dash.
Or I dunno something to compensate. She didn't deserve this, especially after they nerfed her hair a while back. ๐ฅ
-
Nope. Sounds are still a mess.

This is part of the End Game changes. With the Survivors on a short timer, they can't afford to go around taking a trap off before leaving. Putting a trap on a Survivor after the End Game has already started would be a death sentence particularly when paired with Blood Warden. Traps applied before the last generator was powered will still be active, so you'll still be able to
These changes are just on the PTB for now, though. We'll keep an eye out for feedback and make changes if needed.
I understand the logic.
But this is very specific and also showing that the Survivor players were thought about more than the Pig players because now the RBT are 100% useless after the collapse starts. There are a slew of other things that could have been done if this is such a HUGE issue.
Examples (not great but are better, imo, then what has been done):
- RBT removal is sped up durin EGC.
- Any box can remove RBT during EGC but removal is slowed
- EGC timer is slowed slightly for every Survivor with an inactive RBT on them
- Edit: Meant to say "Keep as is but:" at the beginning of this one. RBT activate after x amount of time in EGC
And anyway your post doesn't even explain why the RTB timer stops while in her terror radius now.
-
Yeah probably. lol

well that does not make any since at all when you guys say you dont have to test it out. its like you guys are acting like hey we dont have to test anything out just have to read it and say yea it sucks change it. nice try:)
What are you saying exactly?
Like, what exactly does anyone need to test with these changes to see if its a nerf?
Do you believe, somehow, that the Pig will be the same, or somehow better, with these changes?
Let's just break this down for you:
- Inactive RBT no longer kill the Survivor if they exit with them attached.
- RBT timer now stops when in the terror radius of the Pig not just when in a Chase.
Now, how is this positive, how is this not a nerf, and how could this change The Pig in such a dramatic way that people need to test exactly what they can read and understand.

In all seriousness, survivors say they want "a chance", but what they really want is certainty. They had "a chance" to not be found. They had "a chance" not to be hit. They had "a chance" not to be hit a second time. They had "a chance" to wiggle free. They had "a chance" to be unhooked. However, because those things didn't happen, they don't think they had "a chance".
That's why we have "second chance" perks so Survivors have "a chance".

For all the dismissive comments from players who have played this game 1+ year.
I started not so long ago, and I can say with 100% that majority of survivors lose vs killers. Killer players have huge advantage in that they don't need co-ordination with teammates in order to have a chance at winning. A lone killer who relies on himself only, therefore it's all purely up to a player's skill.
Whereas with survivors more often than not, it's pure luck to get very good players who play their cards right in order for at least 2 players to escape.
The game is unbalanced for the majority of players who play as survivors, because most of them have average skills and do not co-ordinate using mics in regular rank games, which drastically reduces odds of winning against killers.
I'm not talking about friends who use mics, I'm talking about regular ranking games.
Sorry no. Playing Survivor is easy mode.

If you can't down someone who don't use fountain, I'm sorry, but that means you're the one who's Garbage, not The Plague!
I don't have any problems playing her at red ranks, even if they're not trying to use the fountains!
Garbages: NOED unhealthy pls nerf
Garbages against The Plague: Just don't cleanse against Plague and stay broken lol useless power
Okay, so what's your point, pal? Huh, huh? You rather get yourself one shot by Plague but complain about Noed, which was the same (one shot)? what's your point, huh? People like these in this forum were so hideous!
I believe it was you who said it in a previous thread (it might not have been though). (Paraphasing to best of my memory)
The Forums: Nerf NoED its OP
Also the Forums: Counter the Plague by not cleansing
Genius!

Wait a second.
Is "checking", "swinging by" and "camping" all the same thing now? Is it camping if you see, or have reason to believe, a survivor is running to hook so you head over to it?
######### isn't counted as camping hook at this point?

OP abandoned thread and never defended their post.

It doesn't go far enough though. I've had many games where the killer camps until I die basically ruining the game for everyone.
If they face camp you for the entire hook and your team is working gens then at least 3 gens can get done if they just work the gens and ignore you (since you are being camped).

I especially love those who just self care in the ######### corner on the map with sloppy butcher while Im on the hook,a guy is dead, and the obsession is being chased.

This.
Also all the goddamn Survivors who are crouching around instead of working on a goddamn Gen. If I am in a chase and it lasts for more than minute and a Gen doesn't pop soon then I'm going to be a bit upset.

@GodDamn_Angela I main spirit, and in MY opinion, Nurse's Calling is useless on Spirit, since you cannot see their auras while you're phasing. The good tracking perks on her are the gen tracking perks. Discordance and Surveillance. My Spirit build is Ruin, BBQ, Discordance, and Whispers - because I don't have surveillance on her yet. Also you 100% NEED to wear headphones to track people while you're phasing. A good set of headphones too. Not having their injured sounds be directional is very detrimental on your chases.
Oh. I didn't know that Nurse's Calling didn't work while phasing.
I have been working towards Surveillance as well, since it is my favourite Killer perk.
But I guess I should just drop her since I don't use a headset. ๐คฃ

7-10 minutes would be a dream as a Killer.
Hell, as a Survivor I wouldn't mind that.

Your preaching to the choir sadly my friend. These survivor mains will defend this BS till the day this game dies. They KNOW what flailing on the hook means and they also know it COMPLETELY NEGATES any possibility to bait unwitting survivors into a save.
So as long as they know this is yet another OP advantage they have over the killer, they will defend it.
wat.

No, as you would need 3 tokens in order to get 1 insta down. So say you have 12 tokens. At level 3 you would have 4 insta downs. At level 2 you would get 3 and level 1 you would get 2.
??? So... Are you saying you should get more instadowns when the perk is at rank 1? I'm confused.
Also:
"Every time you hit a survivor with a basic attack, gain a token."
"A successful or missed attack will consume 3/4/5 tokens."
wat.
-
Its ridiculous that you need to 2 pip to get the Adept Killer achievements but not for Adept Survivor achievements.
-
What perks were they running? We have little information and there are a few perks beyond BBQ and Nurse's that help Killer's track survivors.
Also who were they?

@GodDamn_Angela Are you using headphones? Audio is rough with Spirit right now, but headphones will definitely help if you don't use them. Nurses Calling is god tier on Spirit for tracking.
I do not. Mainly because I am constantly chatting with my boyfriend and we both play and talk about the game.
I've actually been aiming to unlock a Nurse's Calling on the Spirit. lol
Thanks for the tips!

@GodDamn_Angela Speaking for myself, I had the epiphany this weekend that I need to slug a bit more to get momentum back. A slug plus a chase occupies a minimum of 3 survivors unless they're gen rushing the hell out of the game. Point being, you'll eventually have that A HA moment and start racking up 4k games again. For tracking, it just takes time to develop a feel for it. Survivors tend to favor certain gens over others on each map.
I try slugging but I'm really bad at tracking downed Survivors without Deerstalker. I'm not sure if its PS4, or my TV, or what but I find the sounds of Survivors really hard to track.
Like, I love using the Spirit but I can't for the life of me track a nonrunning injured Survivor while ghosting. And Stridor doesn't really seem to help lol.
The time management needed to play Killer effectively just stresses me out. Hopefully I'll get better at it soon. ๐
-
There are a few sound issues they still haven't fixed. Another example is not being able to hear Generator sounds if the camera is in specific places/the generator is behind a wall.
-
Survivors don't need any of this though plus:
There are perks and the map for Gen auras. Why give survivors the ability to see them as a base? They should HAVE to search for them, though once you know the game there isn't much searching.
If you are only running around the map then you are bad tbh. If you increased the speed of how fast the Survivors move while walking/crouching things will just get done faster. And games are already done quickly enough as is.

You tend to hit a brick wall playing as killer where you're good enough to realize how bad you may or may not be doing but not experienced enough to reliably counter things. It often leaves you feeling frustrated especially when the survivors teabag you because it fills you with a sense of maddening self-doubt.
Maybe I'm projecting, but I've seen a lot of killers go through it at varying degree's of hours regardless of the games balance and I hit mine right about where you are.
Back when the game was a lot worse for killers I got the same feeling and overcame it with time and improved a lot. All I can tell you is that it will grade on your patience for awhile but eventually you'll cross over the wall and get back to improving and killing at a steady pace again.
I 100% get what you mean, I know I've hit this wall as I know WHAT I need to be doing but I just don't know HOW to do it. I'm also pretty bad at reading Survivors and knowing where they are and what they are doing.
Its just really frustrating that this wall is so hard and large for Killers when compared to Survivors. You hit them every so often as Survivor but It never seems to be that hard to learn what you need to change and how to get better.
Not only that but if the Killer is on another Survivor you basically 100% are going to finish the Gen you are working on because they get done so goddamn quickly especially if you are good enough to consistently hit Great Skill checks and/or have a toolbox equipped.

1 minute has passed since the beginning of the game, and I'm alone on my feet, the other 3 are lying or hanging. What stealth you offer in this situation?
When does this ever even happen though? Like for real.
-
Honestly I'm not even 100% certain what happened. Sure MoM came out but I'm not really sure why it feels so much worse than usual to play Killer. Maybe its just a combo of the recent rank changes and the chapter releases and patch. Including the Pallet spawn changes.
Hmm...
-
People acting like HillyBilly isn't one of the best killers, if not second best only to Nurse.

Honestly? I am for the most part. I just don't find it as fun as playing Survivor. And its way more stressful.
Hell, the last game I played as a Killer the Survivors popped 4 gens in less than 2 minutes and then spent most of the game teabagging me. Super fun.

But if the timer was still far enough done, BW could still ensure that anyone who hasnt left will die. (say the timer was at 45 seconds and someone gets hooked (then unhooked quickly)
Well, at this point, the real question is why are the survivor still hanging around and its really their own fault at this point lol.

just want you to know, that not everyone can speak english, so sometimes it`s impossible for them to read patchnotes until they are translated.
and yeah. if they don`t want ppl to use that addons combination - disable them like lighting changing offerings. otherwise it`s ridiculous
Most browsers have a translate feature, that pops up when you go to a page not written in your native language.
I use it all the time when I visit Japanese sites for example.
-
The timer slows when someone is hooked or in dying state.
So the 60 seconds of BW wouldn't guarantee that all of them would die.

They need to make killer adprt easier or survivor adapt harder. I got Jane's on my first try because all i had to do was escape
This. My boyfriend and I decided to do a "get all adept achievements/trophies" run of the game a few days ago. We eventually gave up on trying for the Killer ones, we only have the Clown and its really frustrating going for a 4k, 2pip with many of the Killers' base perks. Especially if you encounter a SWF, or someone DCs, someone finds the hatch or they pop 4 Gens in less than 2 minutes.
Survivors? Got them all pretty easily.

Distance covered is a variable of speed multiplied with time.
If you increase time, the distance will increase. However, our dear devs, because they can't buff something without nerfing something else as well, have both increased the distance AND decreased the speed.
I may be paranoid at this point, but since DbD's history speaks for itself here, I'm pretty sure that they lowered the speed just enough so that IF there will be more distance with the new changes, the difference to now will probably be pretty close if not the same, so effectively making no change at all, except for that it'll now take longer for Legion to catch up to the Survivor due to the lowered speed, which in turn gives the Survivor more time to reach a vault or a pallet, which we all know are prevalent on the Maps, by the time Frenzy runs out, which in turn makes all this a nerf to Legion's Feral Frenzy.
I just tend to think a bit more outside of the box than the average player or dev for that matter.
This is exactly what I thought when I read the changes.
Who cares if the power lasts longer if you are slower? It just means you get to where you could before but it takes you longer to get there.
If in a game they give the choices between:
A) "You can run faster but not for as long."
or
B) "You can run for longer but not as quickly"
Almost 100% of the time anyone would choose option A. Because getting somewhere faster is always better than getting somewhere slower.
-
I don't really care about either though.

I know I asked for people to ignore me but I have something to say now lol. Reading this thread I just keep saying to my self:
Why are people holding her power so much?
The only time you should be is when you are in a chase and close enough to make use of it, otherwise you are almost 100% of the time better off just firing it in short bursts or not at all. Walking around while holding it was viable on the PTB but now you shouldn't be doing it at all, and there is no benefit to using long shots to hit objects, it just slows you down.
TBH the only change I would like to see is increase how many points she gets for using her power. Like damn, +25 for puking on something? Lame.
I'd agree she isn't top tier but I def wouldn't say she's bad. I still don't think you really understand how she works or how to use her effectively.
