Not really. I’m fine with 1 charge time add on but stacking them became ridiculous.
Then we can either remove the Charge Time effect from CTG or make it Charge Time gains impossible to stack.

Even with instasaw? Old billy was great barring carburettor tuning guide and primer bulb
That depends. Insta-Saw was devastating by itself, but depending on when you are, the game around it made it balanced.
Would you say it is currently needed?
-
They need to revert him. Period.

"It is necessary to make sure that with each death of a survivor, the speed of repairing generators increases"
Look, mate...there isn't really an easy way of explaining you this, but...this actually exists in the game files, it just cannot be used without cheating.
DBD has a perk on its game files called Last Standing, which is a very early version of Bill's Left Behind. The perk did exactly what you described, and also affected healing and vaulting.
Here it is:
Even if it was restricted to repair speed, an effect like this is far too much for DBD, especially in the current and pathetic state of things.
This perk's existence and current status is the ultimate proof of that.
-
That is, precisely, what I absolutely LOVE to read.
I definitely understand how you feel. I miss the Old DBD more than anyone does and more than anyone ever will.
And everyone who also feel that way deserves my respect.

Endgame Freddy?
Endgame Freddy... This brings back excellent memories. Not only did I use it on many occasions myself, but I really love Monto's videos about this build:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmnATMeKdvg&ab_channel=MontoAaaah, where is my precious Freddy when I need him the most?

That is like the true facecamping from the old days...I thought they got rid of that when Freddy released...

Huh. I always thought you had been playing longer than me.
I really wish that was so, my friend.
I wish I had been here from the very beginning. Wish I had enjoyed DBD for much longer than I did.
But sadly, I wasn't even aware of Dead by Daylight's existence until November of 2018, when a friend recommended it to me, and I only bought the game one month later.
Though I am flattered that you think like this <3
-
I remember my first DBD game too.
Christmas of 2018. I was playing as a level 1 baby Claudette against a Huntress, on old Azarov's Resting Place.
From that day until July of 2019, DBD provided me with a level of enjoyment no other game could (and never will). The reworks and unnecessary changes killed this game bit by bit for me, and now those precious memories are all that I have left.
So, my friend, when you say that DBD doesn't feel like it used to and now it makes you sad, know that I sincerely understand how you are feeling :)
-
Nah, IW is fine.
It always was and it always will be.
-
DBD really needs a better anti-cheat.
-
Only if it returns to this version:

Indeed. And I personally think they should add even more faces. Ace is a very good choice for this.
My opinion is still correct.
And this poll speaks for itself.
-
I would move Freddy to B Tier...but in the bottom of said Tier.
-
One of my last trials before leaving the game was on RPD:
The guy that sent us there is probably the most cruel DBD player I've ever seen.
Honestly, it is not even the map's size that bothers me. Otherwise I would hate Mother's Dwelling, when in reality I love it.
I hate RPD because that map is a freaking maze.
-
Agreed.
DBD has MANY things that should have been left untouched, and the matchmaking was definitely one of them.

Can you please stop putting salt into the open wound? The tears just come and the wound never heals!
Old DBD was a perfect game which cannot be forgotten, my dear friend.
And, if it is up to me to keep its memory alive, then so be it.
-
I once played a match without sounds... it was against a Trapper on Old Chapel.
Somehow, I did escape that trial.

If you went back to the era where I first started - it wasn't just unlucky streaks.
Nearly every one of my games was against people far more experienced and skilled than I was, to the extent that I really couldn't do much. I came to the forums and asked about this, and was told 'that's just the game', 'queue times for high ranked survivors are too long so we removed killer matchmaking protections' etc. Not to mention the endless, endless smurfs - people at yellow/brown ranks with full meta perks, 1400 hours played in a SWF together. Multiple times in a row.
This is why you can't really do crazy 100 win streaks anymore. Those streaks were you being matched against people much less skilled than you for the most part.
Now...it's different. I get the odd weird matchup, but by and large I'm playing against people around my hours played and similar skill.
Then you are easily one of the most unlucky players I've ever met.
However, that is all your situation is about...bad luck.
I first started playing DBD in 2018, and the matchmaking never game me such unfair games at the very start.

I have not seen Shadowstep at all since CoH was enabled again. I rarely see Boons in my Killer games, my Survivors mostly just use the "old" Meta.
I like the Survivors you seem to get.
People who stick to the old ways always earn my respect.

But won't that be making things more fun for high MMR players at the expense of everyone else?
I'm not sure how that's the 'best' option for the game as a whole.
Uhhh, no?
Matchmaking had its problems occasionally, but you didn't see people complaining that every single one of their games has been sweaty and miserable. Unlucky players did get some weird streaks, but never 100% of their games as a whole.
That seems to be the case now.
There are COUNTLESS, and I mean COUNTLESS, things in DBD that should have been left untouched.
Matchmaking is one of them.
-
Better days when Trickster did not exist.
What the hell was BHVR thinking anyway...
-
None.
Only my friends can comment on my profile.
-
Well...my favorite thing to do on DBD was playing Old Freddy on older maps, which cannot be done anymore, so I would say my current favorite thing is thinking about those better days.
-
"Can you think of a way to make the game more enjoyable at high MMR while keeping the benefits of SBMM (fairer matches for new/intermediate players)?"
Nope, I can't.
Removing it entirely is the best option.

i remember lightborn that you could blind the killer normally but it takes the "time" it says on the perk, not be able to see after the blind
Yes, that was the old effect.
Since then, the perk was buffed.
-
Lightborn grants immunity from being blinded, as it always should have.
-
The game definitely isn't dying. Current DBD is way more popular than it deserves to be.
Thought I understand the desire to leave the Fog, albeit for different reasons.
-
My thoughts on current DBD are just one word, really:
[BAD WORD]
-
You are not the only one, that is for sure.
-
Well, I think Spirit is fine balance-wise, but I would replace her with the OG one without thinking twice.
My day is going great, thanks for asking. And I am not doing anything for Thanksgiving because it doesn't exists here in my country.

There are no coincidences.

Brutal used to be okay but nowadays it's not really worth running anymore.
It's more of a feel good perk then an actual value perk. It very rarely matters on how far the survivor can run. They'll make it to the pallet they want pretty much all the time. Even when you combine it with Fire Up it rarely makes a big difference
Now buffing it to 50% is a tad overkill but it could very easilly be buffed to 33% and still be just okay
I am really out of touch, then.
-
@SweetTerror said:

I run Brutal on almost all my builds because I hate respecting pallets. But admittedly the sheer amount of pallets on most maps has gotten ridiculous. Perfect example: Gideon Meat Plant. The rework has so many God pallets now that it's absurd, and if some killers can break pallets faster than Brutal allows, then I see no reason why Brutal couldn't see a buff of some kind.
Same, but its currently value used to be enough for me.
Though I am out of touch with the game.

I have always loved brutal but in the last 3-6 months the game has started to turn into what I described above. M1 killers are rough to use right now (Not saying it impossible) and this strat is a big reason why...along with boons.
The killers that can ignore/break pallets with their power are a bit more enjoyable.

You're very wrong. 50 % would be ok
Are things really that bad?
-
@chargernick85 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2657533#Comment_2657533
Naw. If Wraith has an add-on that cracks pallets 60% faster no reason Brutal can't be buffed to at least 30%. I know you have not played in awhile but the pallet amounts have changed and the pre-drop hold W to next pallet is strong. This happens most of my games to the point if I see someone loop I am overly excited.
Last time I played Brutal was fine as it was, but I could be wrong...
-
@ColdWater said:
Or maybe buff Brutal to 30/40/50%
Brutal is fine as it is.
Fire Up is the one that could use a numerical buff.

I get that she is more balanced now but, honestly, I would replace her with the 2018 OG Spirit without thinking twice.
Or at least most aspects of her.
That is the only Spirit I will ever enjoy.
-
If the ANOES content was straight up removed, I would never come back to the game.
-
Sloppy Butcher has been in a though spot for a while, even before I left the game.
-
That is partially true, and it is obviously impossible to please every single player.
However...
I am confident that many reversions (which rarely happens) and a few small adjustments would calm most of the storm, if done right.
-
I know how that feels. I really do.

Honestly I think @GeneralV should make a thread on what he would do if the game was his and see where it would go because I have seen so many good ideas and even if it's a really small chance a dev might see it and in someway implement it into dbd. That and he is very creative with what I've seen from him.
I appreciate the support, mate, but...that would require A LOT of work, which would only be ignored.
