  • Were they looking up while T-Bagging? I know Bahroo used to use that as a "have mercy" emote and some people picked that up.

  • Meh. I can count on one hand the number of times BL3 even came into play for me as a killer.

I'm sorry, if you need BL3 to catch people, you were doing something wrong to begin with.

  • I really wish I had clipped this, because it sort of became my stream's meme for the longest time (almost became a stream emote)

It was the opening moments of the map. I had just hid successfully as the killer went by, but didn't see the killer yet. With no idea who it was, I walked to the next room and passed a locker that a meg was slowly stepping out of.

"Oh Hi Meg" I said in stream

BOOM! Hag trap goes off right in front of me"

"OHMYFUKKINGGODJEZUSCHRIST!" .... yes, I actually shouted that. Wife was so pissed I woke her up.

I never heard the end of "Hi Meg" for the longest time.....

  • If you got Moried in the opening minutes of the match, somebody on your team fed the killer.

Not the killer's problem, end of story.

  • I made the argument they needed to reverse the points given for unhooks.

    500 for the unhook
    1000 for the safe unhook

Much like killers get more points for the initial hook and less for the sacrifice.

That gives incentive's for better rescues.

  • Borrowed Time has counterplay. You can

    • Hide your terror radius various ways - it's Terror Radius based, not distance based.
    • beat the guy going for the rescue by grabbing them.

it's really not that big a deal at all. You have options. Use them.

  • Yah, that's gonna get patched out.

Expect a softban if you use it. That's obviously an exploit that shouldn't be used.

I prefer Empathy. The bond range is small, with Empathy I can make tactical decisions a lot better. Because I know exactly where the killer is when a chase is ongoing. And I can run up and heal a teammate when they are injured when they lose the killer.

Empathy is a good choice, I won't lie. But Bond will at least let me know if somebody is being chased before they get wounded. Additionally, it can show me which generators are being done, and if somebody is going for an unhook or not.

The level of information is just so much higher. If empathy didn't have unlimited range, it'd likely never get used.

  • I play both, but I prefer killer.

Freddy´s lunge range? What´s wrong with him??

If I had a diamond for everytime I was vaulting a pallet and I was already on the other [BAD WORD] side but that [BAD WORD]'ead still manages to hit over it and get me

ALL lunge ranges are the same. Freddy has exactly the same lunge as Billy or the Trapper.
The only exception is Myers in EW 1. He has a shorter lunge. But EW 2 and 3 are the same as every other killer.

Minor correction, EW3's lunge range is actually longer than every other killer.

  • I actually get a little upset that you don't get the struggle points you normally would. That's not an insignificant chunk of Bloodpoints you get denied being the last hook.

  • My own nicknames

    Trapper - Trappy Boi
    Myers - Mikey
Pig - No nicknames, but Bacon jokes start to ensue.
Leatherface - Bubba or Mr Tum Tums.
    Wraith - Mr Bing Bong
    Hillbilly - BillyBoi

  • Bond is so underrated.

I run it and Open-Handed on Ace.

  • Frankly, I think it would be better if they fixed the core game in such a way that all the weaker killers were viable, then all you'd need to do is dial back the few top killers.

    It's getting there....

I wonder what happens to myers though

He'll likely be left alone as he's pretty balanced as is already.

  • I'd rather you didn't to be honest

You just breed the expectation that they should get the gen. Then I gotta deal with their salty ass when I annihilate them ASAP so I can get another match.

  • I can see taking away the extra blinks. But until the looping game is put into balance, leave her alone.

  • You'll just bring back the Iron Grasp meta and everybody will complain about Iron Grasp

  • My own ranking generally goes like this

    S Tier - Nurse, Hillbilly
A Tier - Clown, Hag, Doctor, Huntress
    B Tier - Myers, Trapper
    C Tier - Leatherface
D Tier - Freddy, Wraith (who I would put on B tier post buffs)

I haven't really decided where to put Spirit yet. And I know a couple of people who would actually put Myers higher.

  • I P3'd both Nea and Doc - and I'm not really feelin' much of a difference in the bloodwebs.

I'll probably prestige everybody else for pride reasons eventually I guess.

They'd be better of going after certain mods that exist in Conan Exiles to be honest.

Mods? Hell, the base game has full nudity.

True, but they probably would blow a gasket if they saw some of the "fun adult activities" a couple of the mods let you engage in.

Frustration is a subjective feeling, some people need to tell the difference between something being annoying and broken.
I've been kicked from lobby many times because one of us equipped a SINGLE flashlight, 2 toolboxes... Sorry for using tools provided by the game lol.

Oh, I get it man. I play survivor too. (my survivor rank is actually better than my Killer rank this season....) I've had lobbies dumped that made me go "why?"

But, I never blame the killer for it. I've spent too much time on their side to not have empathy for the bullshit they go through.

  • Given the amount of toxic ######### they take from entitled gamers every day, somebody is going to snap from time to time, so it will be forgiven from me.

I'll likely buy it. I've gotten so many hours into the game I can justify the buy.

  • Something like Alma Wade (F.E.A.R.) or Samara (The Ring) is something I would snap up immediately. I was hoping to get that vibe from The Spirit, but I'm not feelin' it.

  • I just may have to make the clown my new main because I agree that he's borderline top tier and I'm tired of people underestimating him. But it would involve running Ruin and I so despise using hexes....

    There is nothing to discuss.

This is exploiting a weakness in the game.

This is cheesy and toxic, why do you defend this ?

Cause "promotes" lobby dodging. Not being able to see each other would be way simpler and faster.
I personally never do it, i set my loadout before looking for a lobby and press ready when i get there, but i understand why some people do it.

Lobby dodging wouldn't be a thing if certain mechanics weren't so blue-ball frustrating to deal with.

Lobby dodging is just a symptom of a much larger issue... one that the devs thankfully seem to be aware of, even if they are slow at finding a solution.

  • I defend camping because it has a counter. It's not the killer's fault if the survivors refuse to employ said counter.

Anybody who thinks about it knows how bad camping should be for the killer. Every moment somebody is on a gen, the killer is losing time to get his work done.

Most of the time, it's better to leave the hook and chase somebody else if you can as that effectively pulls 3 people off generators. But it's up to the killer to make a judgement call as to when it's appropriate to run back to the hook, and it's up to the survivors to make the judgement call when to pressure the gens and to rush the hook.

Let's face it, most of the complaints about camping are just bad survivors that can't understand this and refuse to employ the counterplay because of some inflated sense of morality that shouldn't apply in a game where sometimes survival is about just running faster than the guy next to you.

    in this thread;
Killers acting as if killers aren't also toxic in end game chat.

Both sides are cancer, report, hide the chat, move along.

Two wrongs don't make a right, especially when there are always 4X as many survivors.

  • Before you defend this behavior, remember that this is circumventing a core part of the game's design.

The Survivors outnumber the killers and get the opportunity to co-ordinate their offerings and perks while in the lobby. This is why the killer gets a clue as to what's coming... to help give him the opportunity to counter-pick what he sees. This has been stated over and over in the various Dev streams. When you last-second switch, you are exploiting a weakness in the game that lets you circumvent the intent of the devs.

And before you say "but nobody coordinates in the survivor lobby", that's not the killer's fault - that is on YOU as the survivor to talk to your team. Sometimes, all it takes is a "Hey, I'm running Up The Ante and throwing in some luck if you wanna stack on it" to get the conversation going.

Also, keep in mind that this spitballing session they are having regarding that hit cone would come with a considerable increase to the lunge speed/distance to compensate for the shorter reach.

This change they are pondering among other things is to help deal with the sketchy hits we sometimes see when survivors make it through windows.

You mean like they said that we (killer) will gain bloodlust faster if they reduce the speed gained by bloodlust?
Oh wait, we don't get that and the speed gets reduced anyway.

They said that's what they wanted to try, and like anything else it's subject to change.

Not that it matters - if you need Bloodlust for most of your chase's, the problem is not the game anyway.

Such stupid terms we throw around like "Sweaty" or "Try Hard"

Why should you expect people to not throw everything they have at you? Why let it get to you? Is this not a PvP game?

Yea, well it's a legitimate slang in this game created by the community, so get used to it. Also, because you're playing level 15s with little to no perks? That's like the equivalent of me taking my high level character in WoW and wrecking new chars in starting zones. If you enjoy that type of game play, you're probably the type of person whose never participated in competitive PvP.

Um... I've actually done time in Eve Zero Sec. Don't be acting like I don't know what it's like to be smashed in PvP.

And new's flash - little or no perks means nothing when a game has a prestige system.

Either you got the stones to handle having a disadvantage from time to time, or you don't. But you should always expect your opponent to give use every advantage they have regardless of the situation. A few scrubs whining with their prissy little honor codes and trying to leverage social pressure with their cute little terms about being "Sweaty" or "Try Hards" won't change that.

Instead of pointing your ire at people who game as the game allows them to, you should point your ire to the gamemasters who write the rules. (That's what a reasonable adult would do, anyway)

  • What if I told you that women who are dear to me play characters like Rin because they like looking that way in a games?

Are you going to deprave them of a character they desire to play due to your inflated sense of what's right and wrong?

There is nothing wrong with the human body - but everything wrong with the Puratins who would hide it do to outmoded ideas of what's taboo and what's not.

As for the dark story she has - guess you aren't a fan of horror then since it hits a little to close to home for you. (Meanwhile, everybody with a clown phobia or issues of being kidnapped has quietly dealt with their issues with the last killer) Horror stories are a safe way for we as human beings to examine the darker corners of ourselves and maybe find a way to move beyond it. As it is said in another game where a character is forced to face the darker parts of themselves, "We accept these memories, and move beyond them".

But covering up such stories is the last thing you want to do if you ever want move beyond it. If anything, you need to be embracing these stories so that lessons can be learned from them. If that's too much for you, well, I'm sorry you and your ilk are too weak.

Not everybody is playing for the event. What gives you the right to judge their actions as being "#########"?

This is a PvP game at it's core - and some of us play for keeps most of the time. Get over it.

Considering the fact I can't make any progress and I am wasting my time, my moral judgement is giving me the right to judge

I think you are mistaking your sense of entitlement for morality.

Nobody is entitled to get event items, you earn them. You earn them by beating out your opponent who is trying to meet his own goals. Swallow your pride and accept that you just got outplayed and do better next time.

  • That is beatable... but doing so is a goddamn chore.

But I guess there's always the next game right? Somedays you destroy, other days you get destroyed.

  • I'm more in favor of the Hex just taking over a dull totem at random after the hex has been disabled for a cooldown to be determined on a hex by hex basis.

  • They'd be better of going after certain mods that exist in Conan Exiles to be honest.

  • It's to the point I think I might get one of these from Amazon and start wearing it in my stream.

    https://www.amazon.com/Why-So-Salty-T-Shirt/dp/B01N12ACCI

  • I think they look at the shirtless David as an extension of the male power fantasy, which is why they ignore it.

Little do they know that's not just eye candy for women, but for certain men who bat from the other side of the plate. (not judging by the way, live and let live)

  • Such stupid terms we throw around like "Sweaty" or "Try Hard"

  • OH FFS.....

This is a dark game with dark themes, get over it.

  • If you want to be able to pick yourself up, run a perk that lets you do so.

    No changes necessary.

I'm more in favor of letting them try the longer healing first before we talk about touching the gens right now.

We have plenty of tools to slow down gens right now as it is.

I agree. Lets see how that goes first but my gut tells me it wont be enough. If it turns out to not be enough would you be in support of a 1:1 parallel progression/regression or in general is it a bad idea?

1:1 is going to be way too powerful - especially when combined with the tools we currently have.

    I wouldn't go faster than 1:4 myself.

  • I'm more in favor of letting them try the longer healing first before we talk about touching the gens right now.

We have plenty of tools to slow down gens right now as it is.

  • You can't trust the post-game score screen half the time when somebody disconnects - it often gives the wrong information.

  • You cannot gen-tap Overcharge - it appears regardless of what you do.

  • Wraith is about to get buffed - I've tested the changes on the test server that are coming and I believe he might be viable once it hits (and I think we might see some cries for nerf from a couple of his new add-ins - I'm calling it now)

  • As previously stated, this has already been suggested 5000 times and has already been tested and failed miserably.

If your mate is getting camped, just do the gens. If your the guy getting camped, buy your team time to punish the killer by doing gens.

It takes 2 minutes to die on first hook, 80 seconds to do a gen by yourself, there is 4 survivors - do the math.

  • It's fine as it is as it has plenty counterplay - leave it alone.

  • I've stacked it a couple times with both Brutal Strength and Bamboozle. Was interesting for a change of pace, but I wouldn't use it as a main build.

  • Not everybody is playing for the event. What gives you the right to judge their actions as being "#########"?
