Playing optimally is "playing like a dick"......
If you say so.
-
Yah, that's a bit screwed up. Killer is usually a couple ticks ahead of the survivor. If you saw them move, they should of had control.
-
The Windstorm drawback can be worked around by playing Swift-Hunt opposite of it. This seems fair to me as the better versions of Windstorm give Wraith considerably better mobility (no joke, have you seen how fast he runs now with a purple Windstorm? it's insane!)
Frankly, I think most of you just aren't being creative enough with him.
Those who were good with him before are now going to destroy with him. I think you are underestimating the boy. I may be switching to him for awhile myself.

You put a variable with the time in wherever your rank or EXP is stored online, literally in the same way those two negative rank pips are put in the online storage when you disconnect right now.During all the stuff that happens when you join a lobby, the game checks that variable. The game checks if you should currently be in timeout, and if that state is yes you get kicked from matchmaking. We know your client side game talks to the global save files at the devs servers cus you get matched based on your rank.
YES IT'S REALLY THAT EASY. I AWAIT TO BE TOLD OTHERWISE BY THE DEVS.
You literally ignored half of what I said.
Stop going total user. NEVER GO TOTAL USER

But, he's the only killer that overrated perk is good against.

I rarely counter any campers unless I am with a survivor with team and they are constantly taunting the killer. Either way it is not toxic to camp. It is only toxic when you receive rude message from a survivor or killer.
Also so far as prestige Claudette, yeah some people think they are invincible that is why I make sure I look really good when searching because her clothing is hard to detect.
Maybe it's due to the event at the moment, my last 6 games I've been face camped, and my team haven't bothered with gens just trying to get me, idk. I'm fine with proxy camping or camping if others are nearby, but this was first hook of the game. Yeah I've noticed that, the new guy is hard to spot in his solid black outfit aswell.
Sounds like a problem with your teammates, not the killer.
Why should a killer leaves if he knows nobody is on gens?

Whats good? Im a r1 survivor.. not that it means much, but your brought it up. And I can just as easily say that being killer is easiest part about the game.. killers pip much easier. Stop causing commotion, if you don't agree, cool. You are the reason people say 'DBD community is toxic'. Take your sad lonely keyboard warrior ass elsewhere. Rebalances happen all the time and I think my idea is valid for discussion. I dont think huntress is OP, but I think the offering can be polished up.
Killer's pip easier....

We get a lot of trolls around here that post ridiculous ideas just to get a reaction. Kinda easy to get a reaction here - people are so shell-shocked from the toxic dip they've taken in the community pool, they're really defensive. I'll be honest, I almost wrote your post off as troll too just from the sheer amount of it we get here.

So don't go off half-cocked acting like nobody is asking for the nerf.
Look man, I'm a killer main - I get it. Getting constantly bombarded by 4X as many people with hate, salt, and stupid nerf suggestions get's old. But don't be part of the problem by adding to it.

Co'mon guys, didn't we complain when they nerfed Freddy in 2 weeks after release? XD
-
Keep in mind that she loses 2 hatchets using this addin. Most huntress's will run it with the grenade belt that lets them get those 2 hatchets back. But this means she loses other very useful addins such as faster windup and better cooldowns. Keep this in mind when facing her.
That being said, your idea has merit... as long as that state is reasonably short like BT is.

@lyric said: I’ve been noticing some killers leave the obsession down like a fool and never pick them up because they are running rancor and don’t want to waste it , lol that’s supposed to be a last line of defense at the end game, I don’t understand why they would let the game get to that point to use one perk and totally ignore the main objective Thats what I have done pre-patch too. Usually its better to slugg the DS instead of losing momentum
No way man you’re way better off to try to finish everyone before the gens are done, when you leave someone down you’re offering second chances you don’t have as a killer, leaving the ds down and letting them get back up everytime is the equivalent of getting ds and them getting away everytime you catch them , you might as well give them a chance to waste it and hook them to put more pressure on the survivors.
You are, again, wrong. Most Killers slug or ignore obsessions because moe than likel they're using DS. Sometimes I just get the DS out of the way if i'm not using rancor, buy if I am i just ignore or leave them on the ground. i can always just kill them later.
But my point is that leaving them down is just like DS because they get back up and get away again and you didn’t even make them waste it and didn’t hook anyone, literally you are wasting time with a chase if that’s how you’re ending it because of a perk that can only be used once.
In that you are mistaken.
While the hook would be preferable, downing somebody and leaving them has the same effect on the generator game as hooking somebody - somebody needs to leave a gen to pick them up again.
-
Never really bothered me really. As cheap as the bloodweb is plus all the ways to get more, I'm never short on the add-ins I want.

No, body blocking is allowed as long as you aren't pinning somebody in a dead-end then going afk.

@FrenziedRoach I wouldn't consider that a punishment. Since not everyone plays every day and a month is a long term, it needs to be implemented daily. They need a similar system that games like rainbow 6 siege use to punish dc.Except Rainbow 6 Siege is considerably more stable and isn't using Peer to Peer.
And remember, I said it's PERCENTAGE based. That means if you only play a few times a month, you'll hit that threshold for a softban MUCH FASTER.
Finally - the softban only starts ticking the first time you log in after it's applied. So anotherwords, if you get softbanned but don't play for 2 months, you'll still have to wait out the ban when you actually want to play.

True, it can be excellent for doctor. But tbh do we need another doc only perk? I love doc as much as the next guy, but I'd like something practical, not spmething tyat simply tortures survivors
You understand that this Hex perk affects all skill checks right? That includes Overcharge and Abusive Strike. That alone is why I consider the perk fine.
The issue is that it's a Hex - and like most decent hexes it's hampered by how easily they are found for most of the game. As I said, I'd rather they do a pass on all hex spawns first.
Except for Third Seal - that one is just bad. Not enough people run Aura perks to make that one worth it.
-
Already bought it, already got my monies worth out of it.
-
Doctor main sounding off here.
NO HE DOES NOT NEED A BUFF.
I get PM's about this all the time, and I'll say the same thing I always say....
The problem with this game is how easy it is to delay the killer with loops. The devs recognize this and are actively working on it. The recent rework of the high visibility pallet tiles was just one step of an ongoing process that is still continuing as they monitor the results of each change they make.
Doctor right now is on the cusp of being an S tier killer. His ability to pressure the survivors into mistakes and slow down the gens is quite good. If the looping situation of this game is ever fixed to everybody's satisfaction, he's in danger of becoming overpowered.
Let's not empower this killer any further until the devs have stated they are done addressing the looping.
-
Billy is fine, has been fine for a very long time.
Leatherface I'm on the fence about. I know he's weak, but I'm loath to suggest a buff for him because his defense is so strong.

This is already tracked. Anytime you reach a certain percentage of disconnects for the month, you get a soft-ban that get's worse the more you do it.
Can they do more? Sure!

Devour Hope let's the killer one-shot if they've got 3 tokens on it, so it's likely that's what the Hag did
Can't comment on Billy without knowing his perks. It's likely he had a one-shot perk who's conditions were met and you missed it though.

Really guys, none of you can take a couple minutes with google translate?
Middle one that says 175% is literally "Saved from the hook". He likely did a lot of saves
However, the -85% is very telling. Translation is a bit messed up, but it's unsafe rescues
If I were to guess, all his unhooks were downed in less than 10 seconds after unhooking. As the system works, you lose TWO ranks of benevolence when this happens, so you end up losing a rank every unsafe unhook you do. He did it so much, the value ended up less than zero, so the system for figuring percentages freaked out and gave us these messed up values.
Anotherwords, this is a guy you don't want on your team because he doesn't take responsibility for the people he rescues.
-

I played with his Ultra Rare Addin that silences the bell, and paired with the common add-in that suppresses his terror radius and red glow for 8 seconds after the decloak.
I'd decloak around the corner where they couldn't see me, then use the speed boost to close the gap and surprise the survivors on the generator.
Seems to work very well on 3 out of 4 survivors so far. Gave me a lot of giggles the whole time.

I think she's underestimated by most of the playerbase.

They already do though. What killer doesn't depend on their power enough to get things done? Every single killer in this game can use their power to get things done in one way or another. Just look for it, you'll find it.
Oh - I wasn't trying to discredit the good killers who do use their abilities to succeed. Those are the best games tbh. A huge reason why I love this game is because killers are terrifying AF to encounter when they have mastery over their abilities. Losing like this, as a survivor, is a win in a different kind of way.
When you strip it down to the bare bones, my OP was basically saying that, without abilities killers have too much of an advantage. All they have to do is chase. No abilities required (mostly). I want to see less wins by endlessly chasing and more wins by landing crucial abilities. That's the gameplay mechanic I want to see rewarded for killers.
I get what you mean.
To that I answer as follows....
The game has to be enjoyable on some level to people of various skill levels (Which is why we have Low Skill Floor and Ceiling killers like Leatherface). Not everybody can be good or best - do not those people deserve to have fun too?
Think of killers who just chase like people who use the noob tube in CoD, then watch this.

Concerning Myers - He is never faster than the usual 115% base speed, even at Tier 3. The only thing that changes for Myers at Tier 3 is the better lunge and he deletes windows. All killers run at 115% speed excepting Hag, Huntress, Spirit, and Nurse. Nurse was already covered, the last three all run at 110% speed.
I have to shoot down your idea. And here's why....
One thing this game does fairly well is it gives us a good variety of maps, each with it's own flavor and mix of open and closed in areas. If killer's moved slower than survivors, they would be completely ######### in any map that features wide open areas and lanes as all the survivor would need to is just hit W in that lane and outrun the killer. If we think getting beat by loops is bad, getting beat by running straight would be worse.
This would force a complete rework of most of the powers in the game.
Let's just leave well enough alone - we're slowly starting to reach a bit of equilibrium in this game - let's not upset it with something drastic like this.
And remember - this is the entity's realm, laws of physics only apply when the Entity feels like it.
omg thank you for a kind, well thought out response! The best killers are the most cunning

You're right - running in a straight line would feel way worse to lose to than looping. I would prefer this be where abilities become crucial. I wholeheartedly feel like ability use and management is really where killers should shine. I want to see good killers rewarded for such.
They already do though. What killer doesn't depend on their power enough to get things done? Every single killer in this game can use their power to get things done in one way or another. Camping is caused by survivors not doing what needs to be done to discourage the behavior.
I guarantee that if all survivors did was do gens when somebody was being camped, you'd see less campers.
Why should a camper leave the hook when he knows nobody is doing gens? You're literally giving him no sense of urgency.
Remember, first hook takes 120 seconds to die on a full struggle. You only need 80 to solo a generator. Do the math.
-
It's not broken because.....
- You get a warning the killer has it. If you see the killer's aura after doing a gen, you know they have it, you're prepared to take action against it.
- There are literally 2 to 3 different exits you can take, killer cannot cover them all.
- Even if he does catch you, you got to play the entire game and rank up
That is why it's balanced.
-
Concerning Myers - He is never faster than the usual 115% base speed, even at Tier 3. The only thing that changes for Myers at Tier 3 is the better lunge and he deletes windows.
