  • if im only trying then tell me where im wrong :P

  • the plague takes 5 seconds or less to make you 1 shot aka devour hope/noed on steroids. her red puke is simply huntress hatchets on steroids that involves less skill to pull off even though the huntress hatchet hotboxes are the size of beach balls. she has pink addons that show your aura for 6 seconds every time you puke and this includes the instant you puke after being unhooked.

anyone who doesn't see a skilled red rank plague as a very strong and annoying killer will just say her map presence sucks and thats all they'll have that will sound valid, honestly.

the main point is. you can't get away from her power in any way, shape or form. you cleanse, youre #########. you dont cleanse, youre #########. people wonder why gen rushing gets worse and stealthy gameplay becomes more meta.

  • here's the thing about spirit. unless you're running dance with me or poised you basically have no chance of escaping a good spirit in a chase. when being chased by a good spirits pallets are simply a maybe and not guaranteed protection. killer mains just say look at the grass......which is a joke. with the right addons and a good pair of headphones her chase potential for downing survivors and map presence is just as good if not better than a good nurse. she has an addon that makes her not emit sound for easy gen grabs or good surprise attack potential. her lunge addons tops a tier 3 myers. she can't be blinded when vaulting windows. she projects fake images of herself when looping her which can throw you off but thats not an issue for me but it has to be mentioned. she can also fake phase while in a pallet loop and you've no idea if shes moving or not. you either get lucky by walking away or you're taking a hit if the spirit is good. if your'e not running ironwill and take a hit then good luck escaping her. a good spirit is the hardest to counter aside from a nurse.

I regret all those times I said Devs are not competent to balance the game properly.

OhTofu has just opened my eyes, and after 1550 hours I realised the game is perfectly balanced, except some things like omegablinks and some broken add ons, that can always be fixed in the future

He made me realise that you just have to be good, and those times I actually won against strong survivors was really due to my mindgame skill and game control skill.

So @Peanits and Devs, be aware of all those who continue to say that this game is always survivor biased, because as I just realized this is not true.

its not hard to mindgame anymore when the devs have made every single tall wall impossible to see through excluding some rocks

  • use your eyes i didnt miss at all. even if i did miss at the beginning the amount of time that equals wouldve been made up while the nurse was looking at me after the pickup.

  • the answer to this post is no. being notified of a perk doesn't do anything to stop the perk. all it would honestly do would cause less experienced survivors to panic and immediately go for doors and try to leave. whats wrong with that? the killer knows exactly where they are for a free 1 shot down.

@DukeJukem I'm on a laptop, so I don't know how easily it'd be to buy a new graphic card. I don't have issues with any of my other games, either. Don't really wanna waste money on something I don't necessarily need.

i didn't have issues in other games either lol. this game is just garbage

Because nobody enjoys playing against him, because he bypasses game mechanics.

Same could be said about SWF and voice comms

lol swf comms tells you where the killer can be right? well the killer just needs to patrol gens and find survivors around the gens. being on comms isnt going to make you invisible buddy. learn to open your eyes and ears and find someone, patrol gens. killers suck and have all the handouts

  • this OP just makes me lol. the killers main objective is to prevent survivors from escaping right? right. so how do they escape? repairing gens......so if you allow 1 gen to be prepared.....you're technically failing at your objective since repairing generators DIRECTLY TIES IN TO THE SURVIVOR ESCAPING............god.....big brain on this killer main guys. wow

NOED does reward bad play. whether that bad play is being looped by 1 good survivor the whole match or whether its allowing all of the generators to be completed. you killers literally cry about everything, for this conversation i'll mention one specific thing you cry about.

you constantly cry about how "wah wah my totems are so ez to find man these survivors keep cleansing my ruin etc so ez" but when you get what you asked for, which is the devs moving your totems to harder, tighter spots on the map so they cant be located as easily.......even when you get your wish your answer to NOED is to "cleanse" totems lol. totems are scattered god knows where now and it's even more of a waste of time locating 5 of them let alone wasting time cleansing them when it's getting even MORE difficult to get gens repaired with each and every patch.

you killers literally cry, get what you want and then cry about how it's not good enough rofl.

decisive got nerfed into the ground literally and NOED wasn't even touched let alone some other BS perks.

  • When you load into a match as survivor and there’s only 2-3 survivors in the game do you just give yourself up to the killer and just move on to the next game or do you try to survive as much as possible during the game?

no i just disconnect because why should a killer be handed free points for the devs doing a ######### job at coding the matchmaking in this game? also why should i be forced to possibly farm because of this? blame the devs if i immediately dc if only 3 people spawn in. i want a match with 4 people. its not my fault or my problem. blame the devs. :D

  • i used to have this issue and it's honestly a very stupid one. reformatting my pc wouldn't even fix it. the game is just poorly coded by developers who have no intelligence.

i used to run an nvidia gtx 980 and i would have those "microstutters/glitches" u talk about when the exhaustion icon, noed icon etc would pop up. the only thing that fixed it for me was buying an entirely new graphics card that was "current gen"

the devs basically aren't coding for old hardware anymore and they don't care and probably don't even know how to code for it anymore. i popped an rtx 2070 in here and those issues went away......plus my game looked different lol.

buy a new graphics card, these devs don't give a ######### about old hardware. don't buy an amd card either. i just tried an rx 590.....pure trash. i literally would rather run my overheating gtx 980 @ my forced 720p due to overheating over that amd card at 1080p running just fine temperature wise.....amd is trash and a poor mans entryway into pc gaming.

Ur argument is illogical. Just because the killer can't react (drop the slug btw) and it's "exploiting" doesn't change the fact that skill is required to pull this of.

Dude I can hit flashlight saves like they’re going out of style right now, if it went back to the old way well GG killer mains I’ll see you in the fog

    Doesn't matter, still illogical

There is nothing illogical about it. Why should the survivors skill matter more than the killers? Your argument doesn't take into account that the killer should have a way to counter it. If a survivor dies out in the open you aren't entitled to a flashlight save, only if the killer doesn't check his surroundings.
Also your "drop the slug" isn't a counter. It's not consistent since the survivor essentially needs to miss the save enough for you to get the R input. In most cases where you can drop the survivor in a FL save you can also just look up.

not true. vsing a killer who presses r to avoid flashlight saves you need to rely on 2 things to pull off the flashlight save. 1 is you literally have to time the stun during the exact moment the stun window opens, if you don't do that then it's hope to christ your imperfect timed blind registers before the killers r key registers. it's a pretty near guaranteed way to avoid a flashlight save.

they are a get out of jail free card though if the killer makes a mistake. that's the point of their existense. vsing a good killer, a pallet is literally your only safe option. loops without pallets that have vaults aren't really a defense for survivors vsing a good killer or one who has bamboozle active. the enduring spirit fury combo is another thing in itself. the whole drop the pallet earlier mechanic doesn't really counter it if we can't throw the pallet very fast. we can't 360 a good killer to death. pallets are the main defense for survivors. everything else involves a pretty decent skill level if the killer is actually smart, or is running certain perk combinations

your not supposed to last long in a chase though your supposed to stealth until you win not run around

i'm not supposed to last long in a chase? i'm supposed the stealth? the devs have literally said the game was designed that way when first released on stream but now the game isn't played or designed around that mechanic anymore. so you're wrong basically.

  • why do you want the vacuum it gave way too much of a distance when you got to a pallet the pallets are fine

not the old vacuum mechanic where you could be like 2 steps completely outside of the pallet then vacuum yourself in. we need a new vacuum mechanic that wasn't as strong as the old one. when we run through pallets now we can't slam it down until like 80% of the way through it, the old way u could be like two steps completely outside of the pallet and vacuum in. what we need now is the ability to drop the pallet while running about 30-50% of the way through the pallet, while ending up on the safe side (slight vacuum, but nowhere near the old one). this would defeat some bs hits on pallets

  • survivors need to be able to drop the pallet while running about 30-50% of the way through it instead of like 75-80% of the way like it is now. yes this would create a slight "vacuum" but killers get so many bs hits through pallets ever since they ######### with them when the clown came out. pallets have been garbage since the clown, not to mention map redesigns etc have removed alot of pallets in general. there are many times where the pallet will push the killer back before stunning them as well now which is weird. it happens sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. i'm sure dedicated servers would alleviate some issues, but we need a fix in the mean time if they ever decide to give us dedicated servers, which would involve adding a vacuum back to the pallets in a sense.

i miss the vacuum dearly as both a killer and survivor simply because of the mindgames for both ends. it was fun to me and i understand times have changed but every patch is nerfs upon nerfs to the survivors with no repercussions on the killer side. map design and objective timings should be concentrated to achieve a better balance. worry about the emblem systems, new content etc later. we have a really good game here that has enough content to keep people interested. its a one of a kind gem, riddled with bugs to the brim with no dedicated servers, wonky mechanics at times and a poor foresight of what needs to be done with the game.

  • the spirit is honestly overpowered garbage once shes mastered. her whooshing sound basically cant be heard if the chase music is blaring in your headset regardless of the no sound addon or not. and she insta un cloaks and can attack immediately with a speed boost, which is the main thing that makes the wraith suck. so basically shes everything amazing about the wraith with none of the downfalls with a slightly slower movement speed with the most insane mindgame potential plus she cant be blinded while she vaults and very rarely can u successfully blind her on pallets (same with hag)

  • this doesnt belong in balance feedback

@ClementineS4 here's how I see it: your success is shown in your pips, not merely surviving. I die in about two thirds of my games, yet get +1 or +2 pips most of the time.
I mentioned this in another discussion, but gonna repeat anyway: it's a misunderstanding to think that you failed as a survivor if you died. You did fail if you died when there were still 3-4-5 gens left to do, or if you got your buddies killed by unsafe rescues. But dying itself makes little difference. Much of the flame between survivor and killer mains does not come from real imbalance (this game will never be perfectly "balanced", there are just too many different killers, abilities, a variety of builds). It comes from FRUSTRATION. That's something a lot of people just cannot take. But the ones who can are having a lot of fun, regardless of their survive/kill ratio.

I don't want to lecture you or be condescending, so I'm not saying "git gud". I'll just say: get tough. Learn to take some of those horrible defeats and move on to the next game. You will succeed on the occasion, and some other times you will just get demolished. In which case, just have a good laugh about it.

Very true i often find the survivours who drop a gg and despite what build or tactic i use are the best loopers and optimised gen repairsmen. Because they ujderstand how the game works and accept the death despite probably piping since they tend to be the ones who get the longest chases from me.

Now ds players I swear those guys are 90% of the time the weakest links.

this is true. i myself am a rank 1 survivor if i play the way i DON't want to play to get these new garbage emblems but i'm altruistic. i flashlight save and find people who need healing the entire WHILE hopping on a gen when i can OR i'm looping the killer for as many gens as i can and depending on the killer they picked and how good the killer is i can loop for a while if not the entire match sometimes. but i realize my deaths are warranted due to my playstyle. killers don't like altruistic survivors especially ones with flashlights who know how to save and loop u death and can strategize when to be on and off a gen, therefore i drop a gg if i die USUALLY. sometimes the game really does ######### u over (lag, glitches etc) but its whatever. take a loss, talk your smack if u really need to and move on and learn from your mistakes. as a survivor main i can totally agree most DS users truly need that perk.

  • @Zarathos said:
I'm here to talk about DBD's most frustrating gameplay style. Tunneling if I am kicking a gen you cant touch it and have to go for another gen. This is because i have freshly kicked the gen and you tunneling the gen is making the game go to fast and is ruining my fun as a killer as games are going too fast.

So obviously this post is a joke about tunneling. People often describe tunneling as hitting someone who just got off the hook. I wanted to point to the parallels between tunneling a gen and tunneling a survivour.

When a survivour is on one less hook state and i see them and hear them and are injured its considered a dick move and poor form to hit them. Which is pretty stupid when you stop to think about it. I am obliged to hunt a healthy survivour who is heading to a powerful loop.

Gen tunneling is doing a nearly done gen I kicked in a safe place. Asking a survivour to move on to another gen that hasnt been started and is in a dangerous place is absurd. It leaves you vulnerable and susceptible to the killers attacks. It also makes games go much slower so its sensible for players to finish a gen.

I hope these parallels makes you realise how stupid tunneling is as a statement and makes you think twice before expecting a killer to let you have a free unhook.

maybe killers just come back to the hook when they know someone is about to be unhooked because they know an easy kill is there because they aren't talented enough to truly leave a hook after hooking someone. killers abuse tunneling all the time and its because its an easier way to win. i've seen truetalent do it a bunch of times. someone will get unhooked and he'll go back to the immediate area (even though he was already nearby within terror radius) and then he'll say "oh i found them" or "oh i heard them." it's all a front. gens need to take longer if ruin isn't active, thats a main problem. as for generator tunneling? if u kick a gen and a survivor immediately goes back on it its your job to keep them off it, so its your fault. here's a clip of mine as an example of this "gen tunneling." if you do this as a killer, then you deserve to lose. yes i run decisive now sometimes (the little dick perk) quit nerfing my gameplay and i won't run these perks. https://streamable.com/wbz3l

Like I always say, I'm a reasonable person. I am all up for a NOED nerf if decisicive gets nerfed, but survivors typically never want to make that trade off. You have the option of rendering NOED completely useless, I have to be lucky enough to be close enough to a hook to dribble to counter DS. I can't counter Deliverance unless it's the last person hooked and I'm expecting it. I can't counter a three man body block of the hook.

I agree NOED is powerful and it's frustrating, but it's counterable. All our options can be hard countered, but you have a variety of options that can't be countered or only soft countered. So, you're going to have to come to the negotiating table if you have your sights on taking down NOED a notch or two.

decisive doesn't need nerfed. all they need to do is implement a script for every x amount of survivors running ds the gens take x amount longer to repair etc. decisive can be countered by enduring, which is ez to do, just select enduring. countering noed however is all situational. sometimes u cant go after totems hardly at all during them game if you're against a killer with good map control. cleansing during the endgame is another story and its all rng. countering decisive has no rng involved whatsoever. run enduring. thats what people don't understand. it takes no skill etc to counter ds. run enduring. finding the totems on the other hand, has its own little rng and it completely depends on how u, your team and the killer is playing. can't cleanse totems if you're being chased, being forced into altruism (yes this is possible sometimes your whole team dies with more than 3 gens left) etc.

As you know, all levels of NOED now apply the exposed (insta-down) effect when active.

NOED needs a dull totem to light up in order for it to activate. So, it seems clear to me that the Dev's made this change to encourage survivors to cleanse more dull totems prior to the opening of the gates. They're looking to encourage more non-generator play.

  • a dedicated server with a completely stable connection that is properly set up would elimate many issues. can't rely on some 13 year olds connection who runs pornhub through internet explorer bro.......think........

First off, if there are not 4X as many survivors as there is killers, you're going to see the matchmaker struggle. Your suggestion would do little to fix the matchmaker issues we ALWAYS have when a new killer drops. You'd be better off asking for a BP bonus on the survivor side for the first week after a patch drops (Actually, a passive bonus to BP based on which side is short on players wouldn't be a bad idea to have all the time)

Second, each game only requires 5 players. Buying servers for games that are too small is stupid and economically inefficient.

yea yet death garden has dedicated servers yet less than 20 people are online right now. makes total sense right? and yes dedicated servers would help with matchmaking. p2p is based on the single hosts connection and there is no way of ensuring a quality connection with said host, be it when it comes to finding a match (connecting to the host in general) or during the match. how many times have u seen 60 ping in lobby then u get in game and its laggy as all hell. could be a lag switch or torrent etc.....but it could also be the fact the killers connection isnt strong enough when the actualy game loads compared to sitting in a lobby. dedicated servers would fix alot man.

  • speaking of dedicated servers i'd like to redirect everyone to another post. keep in mind that this post is about all of us, both killer and survivor, coming together and making our voices heard. our differences need to be overlooked here https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/21272/so-if-you-could-make-this-happen-now-thatd-be-great/p1?new=1

  • u just heard about this????? or did u watch the trailer and notice she was in it lol.......how does one just now find out about such things lol
