Last couple times it nearly happened, I ended up on top of the pallet and was able to walk over it, but it was a couple months ago.

I always considered Hope to be the Counterpart to NOED. NOED increases the killer's speed by 8% if memory is correct.
IMO, you can't increase the HOPE speed past 8%, otherwise you might make more killers feel inclined to run NOED to counteract it.
-
Hope is actually very good, it's just so many other perks are much better.
Most killer's only run 15% faster than a survivor. With Hope, you cut their speed advantage in half (unless they are running NOED). If they are a slow killer like Hag, Huntress, and soon Spirit (assuming they keep her speed), you almost run as fast as they do.
Default Survivor speed - 100%
Hope Survivor runspeed - 107%
Slow Killer runspeed (Hag and Huntress) - 110%
Normal Killer runspeed - 115% -

So ture, between rangs 20 to 10, survivors are too bad and killer makes an EZZZZ 3 kills, and ofen 4.
Between rangs 10 to 1, it become harder. If you take Nurse or Billy, there is no match -> EZ win. For the others killers, let's say it depends of the player. But I think killer are favored to do at least 2 kills. In the end, I think killers are too powerfull FOR MOST OF THE PLAYERS, of course there is the 5% player really good they can win on their own. But that's ONLY GOOD players. Do you think most of the plyers are good ? NO !
Think about all the new player that comes in a be killed durring 2 houres and then quit the game. Fun ...
And PLEASE, Nerf Nurse and Billy. Tanks
You obviously don't play much in the upper ranks, let alone play killer. Obvious bait or obvious newbie, take your pick. Either way, anybody who plays both sides for more than 500 hours isn't going to take your post seriously.
Billy and Nurse take a certain amount of mechanical skill that not everybody possess (I struggle as a Nurse). All the rest of the killers are beaten by delaying the game with simple circles while multiple generators are done in under 2 minutes.
If you had any basic understanding of the game, you'd know this.
It only takes 80 seconds to do a gen, and yet 2 minutes for somebody to die on a hook - do the math.

Are you looking to revive the Slug Meta?
Because that's how you get a Slug Meta!

That's how I handle the hatch as a survivor, and to date it's only resulted in me getting caught ONCE. (killer was running Tinkerer and I hadn't caught on - completely my fault and I deserved to get caught) Every other time? the gen pops or I miss a skill check. I then stealth past the killer coming to investigate and get the hatch.
But that's just so hard for everybody else to do.... >_<
That's the point, 3 generators is 180 seconds of skill check simulator. I want a better end game than just walking away from the killer because currently, it's just boring to just do skill checks.
Oh, I couldn't walked away with No Mither... The moment that I would walk away is when he could just down me and I would be too far from the hatch lol. However, nevertheless, it's was a fun game but the end game is meh lol.
3 generators is actually 240 seconds, but you would only have to do 80.
It's my experience most killers come a lookin' for you if you miss one skill check or pop the gen - because at that point they figure you don't know where the hatch is or they realize you aren't going to do a standoff with them. You then have the opportunity to stealth past them.
Either way, the hatch stand-off is 100% preventable by survivors, but most of them are too lazy to do what it takes.
Your reply only proved my point.

RNG is also used to determine the map you get. It's likely the game does a RNG roll to determine what map you're going to play on (influenced by offerings of course).
Usually doesn't bother me unless I get Rotten Fields 2X in a row. I would rather play any map but that abomination. Yes, that includes Pale Rose.
-
Even with the Brightness turned up 20 percent in the Nvidia control panel, I was having issues seeing people on that map during the PTB. But that may change in time - I used to have that problem with Macmillian Estate as well.

no they are morons for saying so. laugh and move on lol
I would love to but they have apparently reported me to Xbox live and I told them it's not reportable and they responded with its what I sent to Microsoft. I aren't sure what that means. The way he said it and he has apparently exposed me on facebook.
I think you are worrying about it more than you should to be honest.

Only outfit that can be considered even remotely Toxic is Meg's Pug t-shirt. And even then, most of us are going to scoff at you for being a wannabe and kill you anyway.
-
No - as it the idea is to get the kill.
Only way killer can hold the game hostage is if they got somebody cornered and don't let them leave the corner for longer than a Borrowed Time Cooldown. It's okay to pin somebody to wait out a Borrowed Time timer, but it's not okay to pin them then not let them leave for several minutes.

Chase has nothing to do with it. I've blocked myself slow vaulting back and forth while stealthing without actually being in a chase.

Funny how everybody cares about the killer quitting when you are more screwed over by teammates who quit.
At least when the killer quits, you can get into a new game. If a teammate screws you, you're stuck trying to play out a much more difficult game.
-
MegaWaffle's response was best. Just take those swings at them and slow them down.
If nothing else, you also have the option to run Agitation which speeds you up when you are carrying survivors, this makes it much harder for people to beat you to the hook (or you could just run Iron Grip to give yourself more time to get swings in)
-
Are you one of those who think you need to press the button like crazy till you hurt your arm? You poor thing.....
Just needs a steady rhythm. It's nothing to stress over.... I don't think I tap more than 3 times a second myself an always get nearly maximum points per struggle.

FrenziedRoach said:Question, how many people run No Mither?
So why would you run a perk that gives you the disadvantages of No Mither with none of the advantages for a significant amount of time after the unhook?
Deliverance is the most overrated of the new perks IMO.
I use NM, I'm actually gonna use Deliverance when the chapter drops since I already have the broken status effect permanently. People just don't know how much damage a kobe can do to killers since it removes all momentum.
At the most, it's going to shave a few seconds. I don't think it's going to be a game-changer in most situations. Maybe in an SWF group that's communicating as then everybody knows to focus on gens and not wast time coming back for the rescue.
Indeed, I predict most survivors are just going to misuse it then get mad at the killer who smacks them down.
It'll see use - but it'll be far from a meta perk. No, the perk killers should be worrying about is Autodidact. Unless you're terrible at hitting skill checks, that perk is going to rob the killer of so much time and could potentially be OP once people realize how powerful it is.

1/10
Obvious bait/troll is obvious.
-
Contextual controls cut both ways in this game, so I wouldn't consider this an exploit.

I'm sorry, I can't see it.
Betelgeuse was more of a prankster, not an actual killer.

I ran into that last week. Ended up just disconnecting from the game instead of dealing with it. I think I hung it up for the night at that point as well.

I'm not convinced that most of these lagswitching claims are even legit.
Back before MLGA started adding it's more robust blocking features, I ran it for the ping indicator. And I would watch when some of these killers would lag. And a lot of times, it had nothing to do with the chase. I'd watch as my ping shot up anytime the killer got near - but they clearly weren't seeing anybody or chasing anybody. And said ping would normalize as they got further away from me.
I wish I knew more about how to trace packets and how the Unreal Local Host networking worked (so I can confirm my suspicions), but it's almost as if the Host starts sending more frequent updates to the Clients the closer in proximity the Killer gets to the survivor.
In a sense, anybody who has a weak network or machine may be fine as the host as long as they aren't near anybody as the updates sent are infrequent. However, once the Host gets close, the increased traffic bottlenecks the host and causes all the issues we're seeing. Of course it's natural to assume that this is a lagswitch as it seems fishy - but I'm not so sure.
So it's probably for the best they aren't perma-banning.

This PC player is just fine. I can wait.
Going through Metro: Last Light and Psychonaughts. Both were games I bought a couple of console generations back. But hey, they're PC versions, so they still play despite my computer upgrade since I got them

AS KILLER
Nurses Calling - Works REALLY WELL on Doc, but pretty much every killer I have runs it. Very good for keeping the pressure on. It's pretty much the only perk I find I must have on everybody.Strangely enough, that's the only perk I can think of as a must have on most of my killers. Every killer I run has it's own build. I don't run Hexes typically as I despise the idea that I may be playing most of the game a perk short.
AS SURVIVOR
Bond - Hands down the most underrated perk in the game. I prefer it over empathy as the information given by this perk is so much higher if you just have a little bit of game and player-behavior knowledge.Premonition - This is a perk I feel very naked without. The ability to know which direction the killer is coming from is a big deal to me as primarily a stealth player.
Lithe - This is my go-to exhaustion perk. I prefer it over SB because it gives me the freedom to sprint anytime I want to save time. I hate feeling like I have to walk everywhere because I have SB.
Dance With Me - Pairs VERY WELL with Lithe.
Urban Evasion - Another must have for those who prefer Stealth.
Generally, my survivor builds are usually SC, then another 2 of one of the above, then one perk from that survivor if I don't have it already.
-
Um, haven't you noticed that when you are grabbed from a locker, you've been grabbed and picked up by the throat? Don't you think that put's a hurtin' to a person?
By the way, that knife cuts both ways. Dying State survivors that hit their Abusive Strike get a free heal state out of it.

As @Peanits mentionned, nothing has been announced.
But I am curious, what would you like to see in a DbD Halloween event?I would imagine with it being halfway in September, there isn't much time to prepare for something by October. So I'll keep my suggestions simple.
How about giving all the crows glowing red eyes to start? Should be a simple texture swap?
A return of last years spoopy flashlights and medkits would also be cool - the assets are still there.
One of these years I'd love to see you guys all out. With this game's horror motif, Halloween is a natural fit for this game. But I could be biased, it's my most favorite holiday of the year.

Keep in mind they are considering setting up his dream transition phase to block channeling actions such as unhooks or generators. So anotherwords, from the moment somebody get's hit with the Dream Demon Power, they'll be unable to do such actions till they are in the dream world. Such a change would give him some teeth as he can now defend hooks, totems, and generators more effectively.
-
Stridor makes sense on her given your ears are probably your best asset when haunting. It'll probably be one of her meta perks.
-
I sometimes wonder why they didn't go for this suggestion instead of reworking all the loops (which as far as I know, is still in progress?). Seems like a logical extension of the fixes made to windows way back in the day.
I'd say it's too late at this point. They've gone with this fast switch for so long, the game is being adjusted around that mechanic.

I agree that the game is poorly optimised, but I am sure it's network lag. If you read what I posted in detail, you will agree too.I'm not sure that you are aware that your network packets are processed by the console's CPU. So when the CPU is choking on a poorly optimized game, the network packets go out slower.
Game itself only has to process packets from 4 different sources in between whatever the OS is sending in. So I have my doubts it's your narrow pipeline by itself. However, if you have multiple devices using that same connection, it can't hurt to upgrade.
-
I wouldn't of approached him that way. If I feel the need to point out camping is bad, I tell them this way.
- As killer, time is your most valuable asset
- Every moment somebody is on a generator is time you are losing
- Camp one person, you only take 1 person of gens
- Hook then chase somebody else, you take 3 people off gens.
- Of course, if everybody is at the hook, this doesn't apply.
You put it to to them this way, the newer killers are usually more receptive.

Regardless of what you click through, there's a rather high chance that you will be directed to Noob3 and Ochido's channels relatively quickly. This is how new players see our game, two toxic cretins that have been banned, but the noobs don't know that.On a side note, I find it funny that two of the more well-known Youtubers; Jacksepticeye, and Markiplier both demonstrate a fondness for camping(Markiplier) and Tunneling(Jacksepticeye).
Support small streamers if you don't like toxic ones. I always hear this complaint that streamers are toxic, but then nobody supports small non-toxic streamers. You keep watching their videos, giving them free advertisement through word of mouth, and so on.
If toxic is what pays off more easily than the alternatives, that's what most people are gonna do.
I try to watch non-toxic small streamers. However, due to Youtube's algorithm even if 1000 people started supporting non-toxic channels the algorithm would still recommend the toxic channels because of their compilations.
You help the process by talking up the good guys and never saying a word about the bad guys. The web remembers every word that's said, and counts which ones show up the most.
How often to I mention Ochido vs Lefty? I never actually counted, but I would bet I talk 10X more about Lefty than when I mention he who must not be named. I do this on purpose, I avoid mentioning the ones I dislike because I don't want the web-crawlers picking them up and putting them into the algorithms.

But why? I mean It is not a sarcastic joke, I genuinely want to know why it is not a good investment if each game session only holds 5 players.
Lets say that I have created a game and my lobbies hold 15 people. However, only 500 people play it.
Lets say that you have created another game and your lobbies hold 5 people. 50000 people play your game. And your game has problems like lagswitching, killers hitting survivors when they shouldn't according to the survivors' view etc.
Why should first one get dedicated servers while the other one doesn't?
Think about it logically, what takes more resources, the same map loaded 6 times or the same map loaded 3 times?
Don't think that's a thing? Take 30 players, divide them by 5 players each. Take the same 30 players, divide them by 10 each.
Of course there's a point where the network traffic will have an inverse effect on the CPU time on the server, you see this with larger games like Rust and ARK.
You also have to stop and consider the investment itself. It's cheaper to find enough servers to service 500 players than it is to have enough for as much as 40k players (this game does cap out at 40k when new)
And finally, do you really want the people who still have issues with people's saves getting lost to be in charge of our game servers? No thanks! I'll take my chances with the occasional laggy killer rather than not being able to play at all because some 3rd rate server admin forgot to feed the hamsters powering their servers.

And? Instead of doubling down and investing resources into DBD, BHVR made the choice to invest into another game.Money went into Death Garden. I guarantee you team members were also shifted onto DG. They made a gamble and it's my earnest opinion that the resources would've been better spent on improving and reinforcing DBD.
Did you even look at the other divisions they have? While people may have moved over may'be they wanted to, they've also gone on a hiring spree so perhaps those people got replaced.
If someone wanted a new opportunity and decided to move over and you said sorry you've got to stay here. Well guess what they go to work for someone else that's willing to give them a new opportunity.
? Why does that matter? Good for the employees if they make their own decisions in an organization... But this has less to do with individual employees than the executives that are actually making significant decisions.. Such as not pushing for dedicated servers.
Dedicated servers are not a sound investment when each game session only holds 5 players. If we're talking about game sessions that hold 8 or more players, then yes it's worth the cost.

First off, Sony would nix the idea.
Second off, the number of "Nerf Nurse" threads would skyrocket as the poor console users finally get to learn what it is to face a nurse controlled by mouse and keyboard.
I'm gonna give this a no at this time.

I'm in no hurry. I got over 900k in Bloodpoints sitting on my account ready to drop on new content when it's here.

In addition to it, most lagswitches are taken down by EAC.
Large number of lagswitch reports on a player's account will lead to Temporary ban escalation.Good to hear, sharing internet in a household is a big problem, if my sister ended up uploading something or downloading movies, it will no doubt affect players ping in game
if only we had dedicated server
F13 gets dedicated servers... while DBD invests resources into a totally separate flop of a game.
Good thinking, upper management!
Funny you should mention F13 and Flop in the same line....

You'll be pleased to know the devs are looking into changing how the lunge works to specifically deal with the bad window hits.
This is a "POSSIBLE" idea, they haven't confirmed it's being done for sure yet.
Killers currently have a hit detection cone that checks if you are there for that instant. If you are there, then it turns the killer to make the ANIMATION hit look cleaner. There is no "Auto aim", just an animation adjustment that to make the ANIMATION hit actually connect instead of hitting air and making you take a hit when it appears the killer missed. Combine that with the fact the game is peer-to-peer which always puts the killer a couple game tics ahead of you no matter how good your connection is, you are going to see some janky hits. Nothing can be done about that - it's the nature of the beast that is known as P2P networking.
What they are looking to do to at least fix the windows is shorten the killer cone so his reach is shorter, but compensate this by increasing the lunge. The idea is that at a window, the shorter range should make the windows safer as even with the longer lunge (as the wall will block the longer lunge from coming into play) which should give us less questionable window hits.
BTW, you don't know what the definition of "Broken" is. The game works, therefore it's not broken. If the game was broken, it wouldn't be launching.
So sick of all this hyperbole.
-
Bans are not discussed here. This thread will likely get locked
Since this is your 3rd account, I have severe doubts of how truthful you are.
-
I would of been happy with just normal run speed. But if they're going to keep her at 110% runspeed instead of the standard 115%, I'd like to see a faster cooldown on her ability since it's obvious we're supposed to use it to make up for the speed deficit.
-
Is it wrong that every time I discover a Toxic planet in No Man's Sky, I'm severely tempted to name it DbD Community?
