  • Nope. Not a good idea to punish people for teamwork. Just add secondary objectives.
  • Just nerf it or rework it. Those are the only acceptable things that can be done.
  • Not sure if this is a popular or unpopular opinion but I believe the hag right now is horrible to play against.

The problem is she's unbearable without Urban Evasion. Everyone knows most hags put down around 5 traps per hooked survivor. Its not just one next to the hook, they're spread about all around the hook in about a 15-20m area.

It can take forever to crouch walk towards the hook but outside of a co-ordinated 4 man SWF it's the only way to save someone.

Then once you unhook them you need to crouch walk away again. This can take like 30 seconds to get out of the area - when the Hag will already be running back to tunnel. This is extremely unfair on the hooked survivor and it makes the hags camping game far too strong.

Even with Urban Evasion she's still strong. Walking speed still makes it hard to unhook survivors. She's the only killer in the game who can force slow unhooks like this.

Therefore I propose that running still sets off her traps but walking doesn't. That way people are still slowed down but it's not nigh on impossible to stop a camp & tunnel without one specific perk - urban evasion.

Or at the very least, make it so that standing still doesnt set off her traps. So many times you get unhooked then because the person doesnt hold crouch at the same time as soon as the unhook animation ends it counts as them standing and it sets off a trap.
Is this supposed to be bait? Hag is balanced just right. Learn to face her.

This perk is completely overshadowed by We'll Make It. Botany Knowledge definitely needs a buff to make it worth it.

Yes, please buff this perk to make it even more OP! :)

My Pharmacy and Botany Knowledge combo will be even more powerful!

    Who TF runs pharmacy?

This guy right here. It's dirty, here's the math of this amazing combo!

Emergency Med-Kit Charges with New Botany Knowledge 30%/35%/40% efficiency: 40 Charges, enough to heal yourself twice with a 40% increase to healing speed.

Since the Emergency Med-kit has a efficiency bonus built-in to it, let's say it adds a 10% efficiency bonus since I don't know how much moderately is. We're talking about a 48 charge Emergency Med-kit without add-ons, enough to heal yourself three times. Dirty, please make this more broken so I can keep using this combo!
I love doing this! I usually run Self-Care too so I can get an extra 20% efficiency. I wonder how much better it would be to throw Streetwise in there too

Solo survivor should just use their brain.
Following some simpler rules will bring them on the same level as SWF.
    1. Use Self Care.
    2. Use an exhaustion perk (SB, DH or BL)
    3. Spread out, do different gens.
    4. Every survivor has to cleanse at least ONE (dull) totem.
    5. If you get chased, try to lose the killer.
    6. If you can't lose the killer, waste his time.
    7. If your outside a chase, do gens or heal.
    8. Only do safe unhooks and never try to combat a camper
    .:edit:.
    9. If you are on the hook and get camped, flap your arms

Well the thing is... We have to buff solos to SWF level if we want to see hefty killer buffs. If we keep solos as they are now, we'll only see killers get miniscule buffs that contribute nothing.

If solos were to get built-in Kindred and voice comms.. I imagine every new patch would have some really good buffs. We might even see secondary objectives be added quickly.
  • Definitely! She's one of the strongest killers in the game and one of my favorites.

Hell no. It didn't work for Friday the 13th, the developers regretted it.

Voice comms within the team, not with the killer

    Come at me.

RZ's Halloween 1 was really good. Michael's actor Tyler Mane is a beast irl and I thought he definitely nailed that role!

I didn't like 2 very much though. I liked the tattered mask he had in it, but everything else was lame. I hated the whole hallucinations and dreams BS.
  • This would be pretty good actually. It gives solos information that SWF has, which means killers can get a good buff to compensate! :)
  • That killer was a major dickhead. If I were you, I would keep his name saved somewhere then give him a taste of his own medicine.

Tunneling and camping have always been debated but they start deserving a little more attention now that survivors got nerfed in everything and that we would be given limits even in taking a #########.

It's time to give some importance to the harsh experiences that survivors have in this game as well as it's been given to those that the killer had, and one of these is to deal with tunnelers and campers; not one good killer main needs that, many of them disagree with that play style and it's in general really unfair and unfun.

Not once you could say that it's fun to get camped or tunneled, and you don't want the game to be unfun for neither one of the sides, don't you, Behav10ur?

Survivors used to be hard to be gotten on their first hook, so, to a limited extent, camping was even justifiable; but now being hooked is something that has to happen by force at least once during your game unless you're playing immersed or the killer is playing his first game on Dead by Daylight, and thus the killers shouldn't be granted the possibility to play unfair against you in the moments when you're most vulnerable and when you can't do anything at all.

If I was to play with a Survive With Friends team, not only I would have an easier chance with some teamplay to escape the tunneling/camping, but I'd also understand why the killer would do that, because he's having a hard time too in doing anything against us and he might be inexperienced and feel the necessity to play somewhat unfair.

But now we're coming down to the point why I'm writing this post: I can't conceive dying to this unfair play style when I'm playing solo, I'm not using any "crutch" perk or addon and I'm not teasing the killer in any way at all. This just can't happen and be all normal, especially if I'm on rank 1, killers that play like scumbags shouldn't reach any rank higher than 15, and that's it.

Do you want this not to be bannable? Don't make it bannable, it's fine, but prevent it to the fullest from happening, give the killer some huge debuffs if he tries to hit the just unhooked survivor as well as giving no damage to the survivor himself, freeze him if he stands around the hook for too long, don't let this ######### happen anymore, these are just ideas:

it's the end of 2018 and if there's one toxic and lame strategy (which you bhvr guys loved to call "legitimate" and "valid") that ruined the game since its beginning and that probably caused many players to quit it from the gold time that it had in 2016, that is the killer sitting around your hook once he's done catching you with you not having half a chance to escape from that.

It's just time to either provide any valid motivation (not as valid as you claim that camping is as a strategy, since it isn't) why you wouldn't want to touch this in any direct way, or to actually abruptly apply some drastic changes to the hook context.

Now, I did vent some anger in this post since I'm really tired of dealing with this and even though I've got 1200hrs in the game I'm disabled from doing anything against it, but I really am convinced about what I said here, those are just 100% no-fun strategies, you don't want to keep them in the game, not one decent person in the community is glad of it being a thing, some just take it but nobody would disagree with it being gotten rid of.

Oh boy, another one of these "I don't like how killers play so I think they should get banned" threads.

I don't think that that is necessarily the issue.. MOST matches up to level 10 are "Fun" and playable for everyone. Even the killer. However, as I and others are seeing more and more beyond level 10 killers just camp the surivvors and the gen spawn points are such lately that the killer doesn't even need to frigging move cause the gens are spawning in a circle radius around center point where he is at. So all huntress has to do is hook someone in center then just stand there. Camping is a problem at higher ranks BUT I think this is more an issue of balance than anything. Anytime devs nerf one side whether it be killer or survivor they fail to balance the other side.

If you're talking about the 3 gen strat, that's not the killer's fault, that blame falls on the survivors who only have genrush on the brain.

"HOO HOO ME GENRUSHY, EXIT GATE SHINY! ME TWERK FOR KILLER"

Eh, SC is alright in my book. The healing nerf did some damage to SC (not very much, but enough) DS needs the nerfhammer though.
  • Myers and Freddy aren't OP.

Tunneling and camping are legit strats. Sure, they're annoying af, but so is genrushing. Try hiding or getting better at chases so you can't be camped or tunneled.

    BBQ is fine.

You aren't entitled to a hatch escape. If the killer is desperate to get a 4k and won't hit you, try mindgaming him. Lead him away then sneak your way back. If the killer won't fall for it, go do a gen. I guarantee you the killer will leave the hatch for that.

Bloodlust I only semi-agree on. Its a stupid mechanic, but it's necessary at the moment until maps get balanced properly. Bloodlust shouldn't be lost over missing a hit though, thats just you asking for a handout.

And not only generator repair. Healing, self-healing, sabotage, totems, all of that produce sounds, although not ultra loud, a good killer can spot a survivor because of these. Technician, while being a sweet perk, lacks of use, and this buff would make it a nice alternative in high rank when every detail matters.

Well Adapt: You prepare for the worst and hope for the best. For every successful skill check, receive a token up to a maximum of 3/4/5 tokens. When Well Adapt has tokens, failed skill checks are considered as good skill checks and consume 1 token.

What do you think about this? Technician is my favorite perk besides sole survivor.
@Nickenzie That's actually a really cool idea. You should make a thread about it and tag the devs so they can see it!
  • I'm rank 4, okay so I'm not that bad of a survivor. I escape 1 out of every 25 games. THIS GAME DOESNT UNDERSTAND BALANCE. sorry. I'm heated. Because all I get from killer mains is that I'm bad. Because they [BAD WORD] downed me threw a pallet or a window. This game is infuriating. This event is Garbage. Killers get they objectives while survivors are off with their finger up their ass milking cancer flowers. I dont understand why the devs just don't actually give a ######### about what any of us say. They have extremely popular dbd gamers out there refusing to play on survivor because they know it's busted as ######### right now. The que for killers went up because THATS THE ONLY WAY WE CAN WIN. I play some huntress myself. I can 4 man any game while also making myself dinner it's so [BAD WORD] easy. What kind of things do you think should be changed? I think the healing thing is bs and noed can suck my toe
Practice makes perfect. You can either put in the hours or play something else.

I know, the other killer can't do that either, but non of the other killer has to wait for 7 seconds to smack the healer.
    This is just exploiting.

Id say either do this or make it so survivors can't heal each other while in the dream transition. Its such bullshit to sit there and have to watch survivors heal someone up and you have to just sit there twiddling your dick.

@Master I play to experience the game atmosphere, to try new perk combinations, to test my skills in survival or carnage mode, solo or with friends.

I don't ask for oceanic incentives: proportionate rewards are enough, and about Protection there is a so large variability of circumstances that a single amount of BP cannot always represent a fair compensation for the risk occurred. My list may be semplified, if needed, by eliminating the last two options, to become the following:

    1) 250 BP for protection given by a healthily survivor;

    2) 500 BP for protection given by an injured survivor (who then falls in dying state);

    3) 750 BP for protection given by an injured survivor, already hooked once;

    4) 1000 BP for protection given by an injured survivor, already hooked twice.

Consider that the killer gets hit BP and hooking BP, when an injured survivor put their body before a mate's body to guarantee them a safe escape, and they get also sacrifice BP, if the survivor does so after being hooked twice.

First of all lets talk about practical things. Even the chase detection in the game is absolutely broken, "protection hits"..... I dont even wanna talk about that

Survivors complain about tunneling all the time, how about giving killers extra BP for hitting an uninjured survivor?

I would actually like to see this.
  • I don't really care about gentapping. I find it takes survivors longer to gentap than it does to just work through it.

I personally don't gentap, but if someone else wants to do it, it's whatever.

Anyway for real now, I actually made a video of me escaping a NOED Huntress from across the map. I was going to save a Jake but he died on hook, Huntress found me and chased me but I managed to 360 her hit.

I ran to a nearby pallet and slammed it down. We were across from the middle killer shack in one of the Autohaven realms (I forgot which one).

I had Alert so I seen when she broke it and I took off to the jungle gym near the exit gate. I looped her around it until she lost her bloodlust, then booked it to the gate. I had to 360 her again when I got there, and right as I reached the gate I got smacked. I just barely flopped into the escape trigger xD.
