The Pig - Instead of making the Jig Saw boxes a RNG mechanic. Simply make them a finite recourse for Survivors to use. If the Pig gets 4 Traps by default then let there only be 3 Jig Saw boxes on the map and if they're used up? Well then they cannot be used again by other survivors.

Are you trying to say that the last guy with the trap is screwed no matter what?

Tunneling and camping have always been debated but they start deserving a little more attention now that survivors got nerfed in everything and that we would be given limits even in taking a #########.

It's time to give some importance to the harsh experiences that survivors have in this game as well as it's been given to those that the killer had, and one of these is to deal with tunnelers and campers; not one good killer main needs that, many of them disagree with that play style and it's in general really unfair and unfun.

Not once you could say that it's fun to get camped or tunneled, and you don't want the game to be unfun for neither one of the sides, don't you, Behav10ur?

Survivors used to be hard to be gotten on their first hook, so, to a limited extent, camping was even justifiable; but now being hooked is something that has to happen by force at least once during your game unless you're playing immersed or the killer is playing his first game on Dead by Daylight, and thus the killers shouldn't be granted the possibility to play unfair against you in the moments when you're most vulnerable and when you can't do anything at all.

If I was to play with a Survive With Friends team, not only I would have an easier chance with some teamplay to escape the tunneling/camping, but I'd also understand why the killer would do that, because he's having a hard time too in doing anything against us and he might be inexperienced and feel the necessity to play somewhat unfair.

But now we're coming down to the point why I'm writing this post: I can't conceive dying to this unfair play style when I'm playing solo, I'm not using any "crutch" perk or addon and I'm not teasing the killer in any way at all. This just can't happen and be all normal, especially if I'm on rank 1, killers that play like scumbags shouldn't reach any rank higher than 15, and that's it.

Do you want this not to be bannable? Don't make it bannable, it's fine, but prevent it to the fullest from happening, give the killer some huge debuffs if he tries to hit the just unhooked survivor as well as giving no damage to the survivor himself, freeze him if he stands around the hook for too long, don't let this ######### happen anymore, these are just ideas:
it's the end of 2018 and if there's one toxic and lame strategy (which you bhvr guys loved to call "legitimate" and "valid") that ruined the game since its beginning and that probably caused many players to quit it from the gold time that it had in 2016, that is the killer sitting around your hook once he's done catching you with you not having half a chance to escape from that.

It's just time to either provide any valid motivation (not as valid as you claim that camping is as a strategy, since it isn't) why you wouldn't want to touch this in any direct way, or to actually abruptly apply some drastic changes to the hook context.

Now, I did vent some anger in this post since I'm really tired of dealing with this and even though I've got 1200hrs in the game I'm disabled from doing anything against it, but I really am convinced about what I said here, those are just 100% no-fun strategies, you don't want to keep them in the game, not one decent person in the community is glad of it being a thing, some just take it but nobody would disagree with it being gotten rid of.

Oh boy, another one of these "I don't like how killers play so I think they should get banned" threads.
  • If I do a blind and the killer manages to drop them in time, that lets me know the blame is on me for not blinding fast enough.

Secondly, does it really matter if a killer does that? If he does the drop, just go sandbag the hook and the survivor is almost guaranteed to get free anyway.
  • I would like to see an extension as well. If even just for a few days at most.
  • Not every SWF group is like that. I play both sides, and I also do SWF. My group isn't some Seal Team Six flashlight death squad. We're just four people playing to have fun. We don't play any differently than if we were solo.

I haven't been playing lately though because I've been spending all my time on Red Dead Redemption 2. However, the last few SWF groups I've faced I've absolutely dominated... Even as Freddy.

The real issue with SWF with comms lies with the fact that the survivor being chased can tell the others to genrush. Same thing if the killer camps.

Do I think SWF needs removed and comms should be bannable? No, however I DO think survivors need secondary objectives. Find parts to fix gens and flip breakers to power the gates.

If that got added in, I believe people won't see SWF as an issue anymore.
  • "lAgSWiTcH? yOu mEAn mY aMAziNg sKiLl?"

Lagswitching is such a cheap way to try to win. I faced a lagswitching Billy a long time ago and he teleported me off of a hill over to the yellow crane in Autohaven and chainsawed me... All lagswitchers need banned.
  • Lol I can already imagine all the triggered kids screaming "######### NOOB FACECAMPER" when I don't leave the hook after seeing scratchmarks all around it xD.
  • I speicifically waited to see the new Halloween JUST to see it on Halloween. So I'll be doing that, then I'll come home and watch some more horror movies.
  • The next Red Dead game needs to be about a marshal defending his town. We have already had two stories about outlaws. We need one about one of the good guys for a change, a Marshal Or Sheriff protecting his town from gangs that want to lay waste to what he has built and kept in line. As well as hunting down a serial killer or notorious gang that is wanted for robbery and murder.

Red Harlow from Red Dead Revolver was a bounty hunter avenging his family. So Red Dead wasn't always about being an outlaw.

There was some leak online where a guy was credited for working on a PC port of the game. It was quickly taken down though.

The only reason the first one wasn't released on PC was because they messed up their code somewhere and couldn't do it. That's why they didn't even re-release it for PS4 or Xbox One as well.

Same here m8. I absolutely loved RDR1. Play the hell out of it and 100% completed it on the 360 however i have been done with consoles for years now and i cant justify buying a console simply for this one game. Hope it comes to PC. I need RDR2 in my life.

I sank countless hours into the first game, and I can definitely say I will do the same with this one. The main story itself is 60 hours long. I can't imagine how long it will take to 100%!

Freddy needs no wake up on SC, slightly faster dream transition and no actions aside from vault/pallet/hook rescue during dream transitions(or at least apply the dream slowing effect immediately). Maybe a decreased skill check chance for the more survivors you have in the dream state at once. In line with these changes, add a little delay on auras appearing after leaving his terror radius to lower the tunneling a bit.

Remove the aura reading altogether, then his kit can get some SERIOUS buffs.

That defeats his entire purpose, that's the whole theme around him. no thanks

Well you can't make much changes to the DW with constant aura reading without completely breaking Freddy. I'd say remove the aura reading and give him some kind of teleporting ability. Maybe let him teleport to lockers or let him set a couple of traps down that he can teleport to.

Wow such an original idea. A killer that can lay traps and teleport to them.

Never heard of that, you should apply as a gamedev to BHVR.

No need to be a prick about it. I was simply coming up with an alternative passive to Freddy instead of aura reading.

You come up with something then, smartass.

The whole point of freddy as a killer is that he drags you into his world, he always knows where you are so the aura reading does actually make sense. Them waking up from crap like adrenaline/failed SC is the part that doesn't make sense.

The only problem is, if Freddy were to get some of the buffs that some people say on top of keeping aura reading, it could break him. Freddy is a tough guy to balance.

Devs tried it but the their idea was not "satisfying" enough, so it got dropped just like the SC/DS rework.

SC got nerfed with the healing change. I didn't really think it needed a change but I'm ok with it.

But DS needs to go and idk why they keep pushing it back more and more. They ought to release a PTB with the nerfed DS and just let us test it out for #########'s sake. I'll happily take a DS nerf before the hatch nerf.
  • I don't have an issue with the shack as it is right now. Nobody usually lasts long against me there :p
  • If that's how you play, that's how you play. If survivors don't like it, they'll have to suck it up or join the Civ 5 community.

  • Its meant to be rare to get off the killer's shoulder. Do you think you could wiggle off of a 7 foot tall, 300 pound supernaturally powered serial killer's shoulder?
  • So Spirit needs nerfs cause you haven't adapted?

  • I love the concept and Design of the Trapper. However, he is far to weak compared to the other Killers and not really viable above rank 15.

Let‘s start with the obvious problems. The Trapper wastes a lot of time collecting traps, carrying them across the map and setting them. The standard capacity of 1 is a far too low. The amount of time it takes to set a trap is a joke compared to how fast they can be disarmed.

Also, once Survivors have realized that they play against the Trapper, they usually don‘t fall for the traps anymore. This may have been different a year ago, but today they just know the good spots. Also, the traps hitbox is far too small. Most of the time, i only catch one or two per game, if at all. Well, catch is an exaggeration. They get trapped but free themselves in under 5 seconds. And this is not an exaggeration. They free themselves almost instantly.

Considering how hard it is to trap a survivor in the first place, this is all I get? An almost instant escape and the survivor only gets injured? Of course only if he was healthy before. There is no consequence at all for an injured survivor to get caught.

What the Trapper needs in my opinion is a considerable buff of his base kit. Trapped survivors should not be able to free themselves. Alternatively, survivors could be put in the dying state by the trap. The traps should be harder to see, have a larger trigger radius and disarming them should take longer and be a lot harder, maybe with a hard skill check. Failing the skill check would cause the survivor the be trapped.

This may sound over the top, but I honestly believe that even all those buffs combined would not make the Trapper OP. His current state is a shame tbh.

    What do you guys think?
I don't consider Trapper to be weak. I find him rather strong in the right hands. This of course is just my opinion :)

I like how he can shut loops and infinites down and end chases early with a well placed trap. If he needed ANY kind of buff at all, maybe give him an extra trap to start with.

Right now i was face-camped by a huntress in the event, everyone did gens and escaped and i died slowly, i dont did a DC but i want it a LOT. Going back to the subject i just think that while i was being face camped i deserved the Perks being charged, its not Broken ask this, its fair, the killer camping will not be so rewarding and i will have better survivals chances if i was saved. What you guys think?.

NURSE NEEDS A MYERS TIER 1 BASIC SPEED.
BILLY NEEDS A BIGGER TERROR RADIUS.
    CHANGE MY MIND.

I actually wouldn't mind those perks being chargeable on the hook.
  • Its the only thing Leatherface is good at besides getting genrushed and pallet looped.
  • Uhm
Its a haste, not an adrenaline for one. For 2 it wouldn't be op because it would only be for allowing the survivor a free chance to get away from the hook at least and area. Mainly cause of doctors who like to tunnel you off of hook in madness 3 to death from the start of the game. I never said they get healed instantly. Adrenaline heals you. If anything, it's a free sprint burst which every survivor who runs that get it. It just doesn't leave scratch marks to make it harder to track you straight down after you just got off of hook cause of wraith's bloodhound and predator perk.
But still... 5 seconds is quite alot when it happens at EVERY unhook. If a killer has a 3-hook playstyle... That's a possible 8 times that they will see it. If anything, this would encourage killers to camp more.
  • Nickenzie said:
@Nickenzie Aside from the terror radius thing, this would be cool.

1 question though... would the screen just be completely black around the 24 meter mark or would it be very blurry?
    It would be completely black.
Lol imagine seeing nothing but darkness then suddenly Billy's chainsaw comes flying into your face from nowhere xD. That would be scary as hell and hilarious at the same time!

This gets the Borat Seal-a of approval.
  • I wouldn't call any perks toxic, I would call the person who uses them in a BM way toxic.
  •      These developers need to start fixing toxic survivors and killers. Both are getting upset about things and I very much get both sides as I do play both. I believe that I'm a pretty respectful killer and survivor and it seems like they are doing pretty well fixing things for killer and survivor but there is still one issue for survivors. Tunnelling.
Killers I understand will go after the same survivor if they have to because they can find the others, but let's face it. It's not fun at all when you did nothing and the killer wants to behave in such a toxic manor. They have a large number of perks to counter so much and that's great, but what's not fair is when the killer wants to chase you down off of the hook when the person isn't running borrowed time and what's worse is how much easier it is for the killer to track you off of hook. They can follow and follow until you're down.
Now looking at this from a team standpoint this isn't horribly unfair at all, but when you look at how it affects an individual survivor, it's horribly unfair. Especially when they played nice, haven't gen rushed, pallet looped or anything and the killer just wants to tunnel that person to death from the start and they get no bloodpoints because they can't lose the killer cause of their tracking ability. Meanwhile other survivors can work on gens and try to punish the killers, but it's not stopping the survivor from losing out.      Killer can run bloodhound and predator and as long as they're following, you have no choice pretty much just to keep running running running and leaving scratch marks. Bottom line, you're most likely going to get hooked at least once when you're an average player and if that one hook determines the rest of the match for that one player, then just take the other chances out if that's the way it's supposed to be, but since I know it's not, Imma go with a much more fair solution. Give the survivor a 150% haste effect for 5 seconds and make it so that the killer can't hit them straight off of hook and make it so that the survivor doesn't leave scratch marks. Then if the killers want to argue, don't worry, you gave them make your choice so they can throw a survivor on the hook and it still prevents quite a few survivors from suffering as a result of a killers toxic style of play. Encourage use of these perks, encourage gameplay that requires skill from both sides and quit making it so unfair. Killers can still be pallet looped hard and 360 juked over and over. Balance it so that just as easily as the killer can catch you, you can get away.
Give survivors more to work with and killers more too. It's not fair how much the killers have in their kits just as it's not fair how much theyre pressed for time and you're leaving us with pretty much not a whole lot of choices which is causing more toxic play. Please encourage less toxicity and please as a community, get good and stop being toxic to win.
Do you realize how OP a free Adrenaline after every unhook would be?
