Learned a new trick with spirit

if you just tap your phase walk ability, the survivor has a white blink before they disappear, you can use this to just locate immersed survivors since their white blink is different than any other texture on the map. Just used this for a 2 man hatch standoff by just phasing while on a hill.

  • You mean the survivor body is somehow lightened up when beginning phase walking? Ive never noticed that, intresting.

What exactly is a 2 man hatch standoff though?

I assume it's when 2 survivors just "facecamp" the hatch, waiting for the other one to get caught xD

it is exactly that, 2 survivors will just hide waiting for the other to die, no gens being done, no totems, they will legit just hide in lockers and whatever shrubbery they can find and move slightly before crows spawn, but they can't hide if my power makes their model blink slightly.

Ahh, thats called hatch camping usually.

A hatch standoff is happenign when survivors and killers stand afk on the hatch waiting for each other to do sth because the hatch mechanic has been designed by idiots (sorry to say so, but its the truth)

  • @akbays35 yea, that's a neat trick. Not only does the color differ from most map texture, but I believe the fade out effect is from top to bottom instead of the whole body at once. Thus we sense it as motion, and our peripheral vision is much more adept at picking up movement than identifying motionless shapes.
    Looove the Spirit :)
  • I actually used this accidentally when I randomly phased to travel somewhere and saw the glimmer of the survivor disappearing. I definitely would not have seen them if I didn't phase then.
  • I know where all the claudettes are with the spirit cause see that quick phase crouched person dissappears.
