I like Tru a lot, but he never wins with nurse now if the survivors are semi-decent. For a man with thousands of hours, it says the nerf was a grave mistake.

Well, his ptb games were fine, but im curious now. Do you have links?

So once general matchmaking gets fixed the other problem people disagree on is SWF of wide ranges of ranks. It seems there are three popular options:

    1. ranked based on the worst ranked survivor. Obviously this part can be unfair to the killer and frustrating for new players, a rank 20 killer ranked against even one rank 1 and his lower rank friends will struggle to catch him and may not know enough to drop chase. Also I used to see rank 1 1 1 15 just to get a rank 15 killer to bully.
    2. base it on highest ranked survivor. Flip side this is unfair to the survivors, as two rank 2s and two new rank 20s against a rank 2 killer will spend the whole gaming unhooking there new players because they will most likely be instant downs for any good killer.
    3. use the average. This seems like an obvious solution but if you look at a team of 2 2 14 and 14 they would face a rank 8 killer, the difference in looping between those ranks is so severe IMO that he will quickly down the 14s but be faced with long, multiple gen chases against the 2s so this has the potential to an unfun game for 3 out of the 5 players at least

what would your perfect solution be, assuming whatever you decided on would actually be programmed correctly?

Always the lowest rank, since swf has a planning advantage

Plain and simple, im gonna list some perks that I think should be changed for the sake of balance.

    Survivor Perks

Adrenaline: After the perk is activated the survivor can no longer recover from the exhaustion status affect, as well as reducing the sprint from 5 seconds to 3 seconds.

Decisive strike: Once the killer has put someone else (other than the person that has their DS timer started) into the dying state and then hooked, the person with DS no longer has it until they are hooked again. (you can't use DS if the killer down someone else and then hooked them, your timer expires. Would also apply to anyone using the perk during the game.)

All exhaustion perks (other than adrenaline): Survivors continue to recover from exhaustion while not running, but their recovery rate is reduced when they are completing action such as repairing or healing. (As to what extent this would be I am not sure and can change, but to throw out a number 20% penalty to recovery.)

Well that's all i really got for now, I only mentioned some of the survivor perks that I think need to be nerfed, I did not mention any killer perks nor any perks i think should be buffed.

I appreciate your time reading this and would like to hear any thoughts

    Thanks!

I was expecting buffs to low tier perks '-'

Im speaking on your guys's opinions for best perk on watching over gens so you got discordance survelliance Corrupt intervention, Thrilling tremors ETC im thinking about leveling up pig for survelliance since a lot of the time ill kick a gen and walk away then the gen instantly pops like 30 seconds later so i could walk away see it light up and rush back.

Corrupt Intervention doesn't really provide any info on gens, and Thrilling sometimes blocks you from using pop and its effect of knowing which gen is being worked can be done by BBQ, so I think Discordance is the best

But they rarely even play her? And the last game Otz played as Nurse had all 4 people escape I believe?

X good streamer has an opinion on something? Interesting..

That census may as well be summed up as "Godlike Nurse mains will still do really well" Most people who played Nurse weren't god tier, they were just really good. I'm pretty sure none of that would even change that she's unfun to play with her blink charge system ontop of several other things.

That might happen, but if you haven't read my initial post is "Good nurses can still do pretty well".

You might be right that she is unfun to play or that 99 percent of the players struggle with her, but that doesn't deny my initial statement

As much as I like to ######### on the devs for ruining my favorite killer, I have to give them credit that Level 4 of the tome is actually reasonably doable, especially for the survivor side which was basically RNG hell in level 3. With the exception of the 6 Trap Catchs in one trial which at least you can farm for it, all of the challenges can be reasonably done in 1-3 trials which is a massive improvement to say compared to:

Escape 5 Trials which if you're lucky you'll finish bare minimum in 5 trials or any of the other stupidly luck dependent challenges in Level 3

Yeah, I got the eye in less than 2 hours and the whole tome in less than 5

Dbd has 3 and a half years, so a lot of players have thousands of hours. I can give you the steam names, but none are very popular. One of them do stream though, but he has less than 1k subs since dbd is not a very popular game in my country

Because I am losing mine! I get to 3 and then I either die or someone out of bond range or while I’m out of commission gets 2 done. Help!!!

I got it in one match with bond, a shroud of binding and a commodious with a 30 charge addon and a bps. On the beggining, I already did a gen and after that I followed one of the people that were with me to another gen. I finished that one with lets say Bill and saw Claudette working alone on another gen while Laurie was getting chased. I finished the gen with Claudette (3 in total) and worked alone on the fourth. I avoided the killer the whole match, it was a Demogorgon

    ..get rid of it!

Seriously, this game was not meant to have this game mode at all. If I can remember correctly how the game was described upon release, it was something along the lines of: anti-social, feeling isolated and alone, unsure of other survivors' intent, play style, and skill, no mics, etc., etc.

I main survivor at red ranks (usually) so this is not another whiny killer post because I can't get 4 kills as killer every game. Sure, I've played SWF - mostly with my nephew (who hasn't dipped below rank 16 ever!) but I've also played with rando SWF groups who invite me to their party chat and from there, I can see how abusive this mode is. They are so altruistic to each other but if you're not in their group - you can BLEEP off. There's a very good reason mics are not accessible in this game. It just creates a certain toxicity and really takes away from the mood of the game. If you want to know the killer's every move - run Object of Obsession.

If groups want to play together, they can access KYF and play from there. Heck - throw in a daily 500 blood points for a successful ######### group match but for the love of all things - please get rid of SWF.

    Thanks for reading.

But it's so funny to see killers (on console) constantly run BBQ Chilli + Ruin + PopGTW or a combination of one or two of them damn near EVERY game and then pretend to be any different than the last guy that had it. I really don't care who agrees or not but to me, it makes the game seem a lot more repetitive nowadays. Someone I'm sure will mention it's the same when survivors run exhaustion perks like BL, SB, Lithe etc. Most of this comes from a match I just had against a doctor with those three perks (+ devour hope), who proceeded to slug everyone once we took out his totem until he was able to find hatch and camp it. I honestly don't see this game lasting much longer. It's been out since 2015 and the devs have yet to find a balance for both killers and survivors while constantly throwing out cosmetics and dlc, which means nothing when every update literally breaks something else within the game. I know there's a different department that handles cosmetics but once again, I do not care because, at the core, the game still has problems on both sides and I find it a bit insulting how the devs try to appease players with new dlc and blasé blasé blah while not fixing the main stuff. There are legit people out there thinking that since we didn't get a Christmas event, developers are hard at work fixing the core game issues and it's kinda sad.

I would complain about repetition if there weren't only 7 good perks for each side

But I also haven't tried her much after her update, because the new cool down on its own isn't fun, so why would I bother. Fixing the other stuff won't matter, now, anyway. She is probably still the best killer, but man, that’s a blow up of how weak most killers feel. You may be right about the cooldown addons being the best, but I think the optimal build could be green cooldown + range because it massively helps with map mobility.

Comparing the best Nurse, best Freddy, best Spirit, Nurse would win but I don't think any of those feel weak

Oh I thought we were playing the assumption game, you assume I'm closed minded, and I assume you're a whiny survivor. You don't have to make that argument, the stats do, she's the least played killer, and if she were still the best, her kill rate would be through the roof.

"If she was still the best, her kill rate would be through the roof"

So this is wrong. Nurse is a highly difficult killer to learn, so she will have low kill rates because there are bad players trying the use her. My initial point was: When an experienced player uses Nurse, she is the best killer in game. Also, all this bs about assuming don't mask anything

The crap framerate while Blinking, the frame drops, the low sensitivity (yes, I have my sensitivity set as 100) that makes trying to 180 as her feel like you're turning through molasses. When I'd Blink and try to hit survivors, I'd have to be so on top of them so as to not be able to see more than like the top of their head in order to connect; if I could see more than the top of their head when I started lunging, they'd be out of range (I don't know if it's like that on PC as well, since I don't play on PC; that may just be an annoying part of playing her in general, but it feels really awkward and because I didn't play only Nurse it's something I never got used to since none of the other killers work that way).

I didn't use add-ons because I didn't want to mess with muscle memory.

If your argument held water, you would see fewer people playing, but at a much higher kill rate. Streamers aren't a good example either, because they only show their best matches when uploading to youtube.

Based on your comments, I think you're a survivor main that hated playing against old nurse, and enjoy how weak she actually is now.

And also, Streamers are live so the results they have live can't be "their best matches"

How any of my arguments make less people play nurse? Every begginer in game would still try to play her, bumping the numbers up. And people that had easy matches with her extremely unfair addons loaded the game after the patch to play as a much harder killer, what also placed the kill rate a lot lower. Also, it is quite amusing how you label me a "survivor main that hated playing against nurse" because I disagree with you, really shows how open minded you are.

Why punish myself learning/playing a completely unfun killer on console when I could do literally anything else ever?

Her add-ons needed a change, but the change to her base kit is... it made a killer who was already a struggle to have fun with on console just a complete chore. Staring at a power bar and still messing up blink timing is not my idea of entertainment. I need to be keeping an eye on survivors, not a power bar. The frame drops (and current map darkness and broken sounds) make tracking hard enough as is.

Like I said, why would I punish myself with Nurse when I could do literally anything else? A different killer, a different game, watching a movie, staring directly at the sun, whatever.

So based on the experience of three friends, you're trying to say she's strong... The stats are showing that she's the least played killer and has the lowest kill rate.

I will admit that she is strong on certain maps. The Game and Haddonfield for example, she can mess you up. Any of the wide open maps though, that's a different story. A survivor can take off running after the initial hit and you cannot catch back up. You'll get close, but the double cooldown gives them distance again. Lery's is just the absolute worst, you don't know whats on the other side of the wall, so it can send you three rooms over from where you want to be.

Based on how often I get the add on that changes you to a 4.6ms killer after landing a blink attack, I think they want you to get the first hit with blink, then chase them down on foot, which is a terrible idea for nurse.

And also, I know you are not someone willing to change your mind based on how you started this discussion but you can try to watch some streamers, most of them agree Nurse is in a good spot

Three friends that together played her specifically for 10 k hours together. Stats dont mean anything because they involve new players, people doing daily challenges and other things. Also, her kill rate being low doesn't mean deny my initial point of her being the best on the right hands.

Devs should abstain from putting new content and instead use all of their resources to fix most bugs they can, since The Oni patch (and way, way before) the game's been getting a lot of bugs that, when even most of them are not gamebreaking, they can turn a game (e.g. audio bug for a killer).

Take some months to polish the dedicated servers, make the experience more enjoyable in console. increase optimization, etc.

And perhaps, from now on, increase th PTB duration by 1-2 weeks. Its unacceptable that some bugs can get past it, for example: months ago there was a bug during the PTB that after dropping a pallet your character would stand still (animation-wise) even while running, and it made it to the live game IIRC.

Of all the current popular games, Dead by daylight is probably the one who is in most need of a health chapter, having some months where the only content is the rift, continuing with changing the rooster like they're doing with the doc and maybe keep working on getting licenses for other killers in the future would be the best thing this game can have now.

And yes, I know that according to the roadmap the whole year is "working on the health of the game" but they should put 100% effort and resources into it.

Yeah, I agree. We need a patch to fix perks and bugs

Ghost face is a worse stealth killer than Myers even though his entire kit is based on stealth, and that might be because Ghost face is so easy to detect. Ghost face has a terror radius of 32m terror radius. Sure you may say that when he activate his ability Night shroud, his terror radius becomes 0m, but like I said earlier it's so easy to expose Ghost face.

There's no such thing as canceling Myers stealth, he is just naturally hidden already

Myers has a 6 meter terror radius while having 4.2 movement speed and no lunge. Then he has 16 meters and no power, only in tier 3 he has a power and there he has a 32 meter TR
