But survivors can get so easly all perks. And that is fair?
There is no "this is unfair for killers or survivors" argument here.
There is enough of that out there in other areas. If you want to spend the time to unlock for each killer then go spend the required time.
-
@Northener1907 said:
Survivors are just skins. So you just need get teachable perks from other survivors and then you can open on your main survivor. And this will be enough.
But killers are not skin. All of them different. And open all perks on all of them nearly imposible. So much grind you will need for that. This system is time eater and i think it is really need rework.
It's not unfair
A grind yes but it should never be easy to unlock all perks for all killers. There needs to be some longevity and value to it

I feel like matchmaking was more consistent before they had even tried to tamper with a new mmr system. Like it would have its moments but overall was consistent for me.
Agreed.
Now it is absolute trash. I do not want to be matched with another survivor 14 or 15 ranks lower than me

but it was designed for killest exacly so they couldnt camp they ruin or whaterer hex perk
Camping your hex totems is counter productive. It allows survivors to achieve their objectives without pressure
Unless Devour Hope has activated from at least 3 hooks. Survivors are like flies round a turd when that hits
-
@EvilJoshy said:
Seeing as how survivors running small game will be able to tell how many totems are left. Could killer have a way of telling which hex totem is which? Say your running Devour Hope+Haunted Grounds. It would be nice if I could tell which totem to protect.
I like this idea. Have some special effect on the perk icon to indicate

I am not sure if that is not a balance approach, to be honest.
Devs aim at a 2k 2 escape, and technically, if you have 2 survivors that can outplay the killer and 2 who cant, that might be the result.
It happens so often in solo queue, its hard to belive its unintentional.
Whatever they're doing it needs to be sorted out
My 4th match was against a rank 1 killer. I'd depipped from the previous matches to 3 and the other survivors were all rank 8 (all incapable of popping a gen). That's a broken match making system
-
They're fine.
If you absolutely have to stealth at any point then move between cover
-
@FrostySeal said:
What I mean by this is, how would you feel if for maybe a chapter or a midchapter instead of buffing/nerfing/reworking some things the devs instead added more things to custom games, like 2v8, 4v16 and more control over the game like being able to change how many pallets are on a map, what loops show up, perks numerical values (Ex: Sprint burst makes you run at 999% speed for 10 seconds, etc), how fast characters move, and more?
Personally I think it'd be pretty great and would breathe some new life into the game. At its core DBD is a casual game and I feel like an update to custom games would bring many new players to game and even veterans. Plus, if they do decide to do something like this it would even help competitive DBD as you would be able to balance the game to be more fair.
What do you guys think?
Also nearly forgot to ask, but if the dev's did add an update to custom games like this to the game, would you care about the bugs that come along with it or do you think it'll be worth it?
If they could make the core physics of the game actually consistently work first, that'd be awesome.
A one off large map with 2 v 8 sounds fun though

So for whatever reason, I decided to play some Twins today. And after around five games, I can confidently say they are dogshit.
Like, why does the game lag spike with literally every action you do?
Swap to Victor? Lag spike.
Swap to Charlotte? Lag Spike.
Charge a pounce as Victor? Lag Spike.
It's so goddamn frustrating. Like, I actually enjoy their gameplay, but I simply can't put up with the constant lag they have to endure.
Sorry, rant over.
Because its Bhvr. They like to release trash code

I've been mostly reading a lot of survivors/killers call each other names, blame each other for various reasons, most of the topics in general discussions are about that and I've seen that you can report others for various reasons. However, there is a thumbs up option as well. Do you ever give other survivors a thumbs up after a match?
Absolutely. To anyone who does a good job.

I love how you're trying to bait but also it really is unreasonable to ask killers to put in thousands of hours to compete with survivors that have 200.

Thanks for your made up numbers 😀

Freddy didn't need the nerf at all. You just need to be patient against him.
So many people get into a match, see it is Freddy & already accept defeat.

People complain too much about camping and tunneling. It does happen a lot but honestly, it doesn't happen AS much as some think it does. At least not in Red Ranks.
How do you think half of those stay rank 1?
-
@RenTheCat said:
Maybe if survivors weren't tryhards that pop 3 gens before the killer even finds them the killer wouldn't have to resort to tunneling to secure at least one kill so he's not only not humilliated but also doesn't derank and has some fun.
If you want tunneling to not exist then make it so the killer can chill and kill at his own pace instead of being forced to tunnel or all 4 survivors will escape and teabag at the exit.
This. This is what is wrong with the game. It is the survivors fault that the killer couldn't find them until 3 gens are done.
How very dare they? Obviously this is every match too. If it wasn't for those pesky survivors....

I play on xbox, and I generally play 50/50 when it comes to killler and survivor. So I feel the pain of both sides when changes or "fixes" are made to anything. But my main issues are the core of the game which are the generators. Now people can say what they want. But even the best map for your most skilled killer, or even one where generators aren't placed very far apart. They simply get completed way too fast. 80 seconds in a single spot may sound like a long time, but when nearly every killer can be easily looped on any jungle gym, or windows, or pallets, before the can even get their first hook several generators are done. This is also presuming that the killer gets the hook in that time, but this is also without any modifiers. Tool boxes, prove thyself, and coop actions drastically speed this up to a point that unless your killer can move very fast or teleport long distances they just cant win without rapidly downing and slugging survivors. Losing a few generators is a given, but not being able to defend them because a survivor loops you all across the map cuz the got over 20 pallets and so many more windows. It jsut gets tiresome to play as killer and boring as a survivor when a killer just gives up cuz they are losing gens fast.
I am usually within red ranks but don't play too much to keep it with the sate of the game and how the devs are even going about changes and fixes. But when as killer i am constantly being matched against survivors in groups, the game is just ruined. The simple fact that when 1 survivor locates me or I find them, my position is exposed and now I have to choose between commuting to them or breaking of and harassing their teammates, otherwise they will know when to do gens and when to run away early. I started playing when there was only solo queue and it was great all around for both sides. I do like i can play with my friend but it hurts killers in a way that they simply cannot compensate for.
I feel like a separate mode that allow only solo queuing to be added back in. The intended way DBD should be played in my opinion otherwise over half of the perks are irrelevant in the game. Therefore I honestly feel like generator should take longer to complete, at least 100 seconds. Because up in the high ranks its nothing but 4 party SWF, all with second chance perks, and being able to loop as tight as possible.
Pressure gens & don't get sucked into a jungle gym
If a team is organised & skilled enough then a defeat for you is likely. Take it on the chin, move on to the next match so you can have a different experience
-
@RenTheCat said:
And no I don't mean it as a "Wahh they are so mean! they tick the flashlight and teabag!".
I mean they have zero fear, zero worries, you're literally aproaching them wtih the intention of killing them and they won't care. You can approach them while they are doing a gen and they will just laugh it off and keep doing it, specially if they are about to finish it, after all, why would they even worry when they can just use one of the 9999 pallets near them if you hit them or if you hook them someone will just unhook them.
Killers are as scary and threatening in the game as a flower. Hell Survivors will even keep doing gens with no worries even while having deep wounds.
And those are the survivors that give killers as easy match. I suggest you thank them
-
Here's an idea.
Slugged survivors should be allowed to pick themselves up when the progress bar is full (just like unbreakable) every time but the time to full progression takes twice as long. As a trade off, no keys available in game which can open the hatch.

@QwQw said:

That Wraith was probably running Agitation.
Like I said in the original post. No boost in play.
So no agitation

@Lord_Tony said:
far too often I've seen gens fly by too ######### fast. Even playing forever freddy gens can be done in under 6 minutes.
I'm thinking to slow the game down a little bit survivors have to find gas canisters around the map and use them to refuel generators.
It doesn't slow the game down too much but it does provide survivors an additional objective so gens aren't done so quick.
Remove BBQ & Chili and I have no problem with this idea

@ble3kaudio said:
Ya, super unenjoyable to play atm. I just turn it off after a couple matches - no more extended play. When will BHVR get it together?
I've put the game away too. If they fix the pallet issue quick then I may still have an interest but also not a fan of their desire to turn it into a tunnel fest of a game. I'd rather them just adjust the balance & make your first hook the sacrifice.
When I play as a killer, tunnelling is just a massive turn off to do. There is limited skill & lessens the challenge. It also reduces the impact of expectation & suspense.
Like a lot of games, this will eventually end up as 5 minute matches for the majority. Good luck sitting in matchmaking state for 15 minutes plus just for that end result

Very good question

Same here. Just a tip, play the game so you can have arguments.
I mean there is always going to be conflicting opinions. You just need to see the past the self-entitlement of your application to how things work & differentiate between reality and poor interpretation

Ask a killer if they like the game mechanic of being outplayed by an item, even tho you destroyed his teammates at 4 gens.
I also would be embarrased if i complain about being sacrificed after 3 hooks, in friday 13th you only have 1 life and its way more balanced than this #########.
I think my point is lost on you. That's okay though, let's just smile and nod

Im not talking about the hatch alone which is already an unfair and absurd mechanic, im talking about the key she had, if the nurse closed the hatch she would use the key to have a guaranteed escape.
Which is part of the game mechanic & rules right now whether you like it or not.
Ask a survivor if they like the game mechanic of being sacrificed in a trial

That's the approach I'd advocate in most any game situations, but--man--that fake hatch thing is always pure cringe.
Like someone is getting off hard at the whole roleplay thing there.
And someone is getting triggered over a loss already confirmed.
As soon as that pick up is secured don't think you're entitled to the hatch. That is severely more cringe

Yeah, just accept that survivor won even though they only did one gen, nothing weird here.
The survivor didn't "win"
They would have escaped via a game acceptable means without body blocking. Also with minimal points & a probable de-rank.
Then when they get slugged / camped next match they're expected to accept that too. Easy.

To be fair if that were me I'd of been fuming as a survivor. So I sort of see why they done that to be fair 😂
Could just see what he was thinking "you gon be an ######### like that imma DC and you lose the last kill BP"
Seems like sweet revenge on the survivors part. 🤣😂 I thought that was funny tbh, can just imagine someone on the other side literally launching their controller.
Why fuming? Accept sacrifice once picked up as the last survivor. Anything beyond & you've been gifted.
I like this play because it makes those genuine hatch gifts a little more exciting
I've spectatced a match where this tactic backfired on a killer because they didn't know the survivor had a key & adrenaline
-
Just take the hook like a champ. I like the killer's approach there

That the thing bhrv is not good for emergency patch or fix they take too much time for everything. Or just don't body block & accept that she escaped
I see far too much hatred for survivor attempts at body blocking but when killers do it y'all think it's a part of the constitution

Currently on a 3 match slug streak. 15 minute waits in between matches for the killer to only want 4 out of 12 possible hooks. So around 45 minutes of waiting and roughly 15 minutes of game time - kind of annoying

Make that 4 in a row

4 man swf 4 objects 4 haddonfield offering 4 meta builds like IW UB SB 3 BNP and a key (I swear they are so desprate to get haddonfield they want to counter the ######### green wards). Peoiple who are willing to play the same game over an over again on the same map just so they can win and grow their ego.
Unbreakable isn't a problem if you hook the survivor after downing them. Unless the killer is so desperate to grow their ego & slug to take hatch out of the equation so they can win with no escapes over & over again...

Honestly, I think it's a good idea. Finally a built in counter to keys, so if you see one you can do something about it. It's also way less toxic than the old moris
Key escapes aren't that common of an occurrence.
It's just salty killers who can't take it when 1 game out of 50 involves a key

We're getting screwed on both ends by hitboxes and latency.
If I had a dollar for every single time I started an animation grab but the survivor doesn't get grabbed and gets a few free steps away from me because the game locked me in place for a second, I'd be able to buy all this game's DLC and have enough to buy a copy for somebody else.
So don't start with that "killers gonna complain BHVR nerf them" bull.

And what "insane advantage" do you think killers have?
Just curious.
Can't believe you're silly enough to ask
- Faster movement
- Unique powers as standard
- Ability to land a hit after a vault
- Lunge hits
- Killers with ability to traverse the map end to end incredibly quickly (e.g. Billy, Oni, Nurse etc.)
- Exit gates commonly spawning close to eachother
- BBQ & Chili
- Hits that start and then bend 180 degrees around corners before landing
- Ability to range hit a survivor who isn't in your terror radius (e.g. Deathslinger, Huntress)
- Body blocking
- Being undetectable by various means
- Slugging / creation of The Twins to maximise this method
And so on...
The problem with the balance of the game is that it is a very different experience when it is good players in a SWF compared to solo survivors. Average skilled killers get salty when they experience good SWF & demand more of a power gap.
The higher skilled killers can deal with it & the best can do it without perks
-
The amount of matches I'm in where someone actually successfully uses a key is incredibly low. Probably less than 5% (1 in 20 matches)
The amount of matches where multiple survivors escape through the hatch is even less.
As a killer, you can see the item the survivor brings into a match. Then if they get lucky and find one in a chest, you can see the item in their hand. You can then adjust strategy accordingly.
Unless you're having key / hatch / escape matches every other match then it isn't a problem

If you chase or down them when they’re doing gen in your face, they’ll cry in postgame chat and in forum how killers “tunnelled” them and slug to avoid DS, and cry for killer nerf.
And if DS is used with UB it is invincibility.
Bit of an exaggeration / lies.
Unbreakable works once per trial
