  • They said sometimes in Q2 is when they were shooting to release. Welp, it's the last month of Q2. Hopefully it's out otherwise they're gonna have a lot of explaining to do.

Pop should deactivate too if you hit someone before you hit the gen. It’s a gen regression perk, and if you’re chasing someone you’re not regressing gens

Kicking generators is not the killers main objective. Their main objective is to chase and kill survivors. Fine by me if they did that because it sounds like I'm doing my objective in place of having a defense.

Just if we're going to use the same reason. Main objective? no defense.

But you do realize you just compared 2 perks that aren't comparable no matter how hard people try to... right?

Because the perk deactivates when a survivor does almost anything??? Please tell me how my suggestion wasn't fair. That if a killer downs or hooks someone else, they aren't tunneling you, and therefore your DS should be deactivated. How does a survivor choosing to play the game mean the killer isn't still tunneling them? It doesn't. The devs destroyed DS.

You get more use out of it with how the devs made it. If you have time to do gens, totems, heal others, whatever else deactivates it, you're not being tunneled. That's just the truth. If you're using DS correctly and not trying to abuse it, then you'd realize it doesn't punish you at all, you're just playing the game.

Tunneling is when a killer wants you and only you. They generally won't hit anyone else, they won't go after anyone else. They want to get you specifically out of the game. (Most of the time, camping is involved)

"Tunneling" (Quotation marks important) is anytime a killer goes after you within a minute of being unhooked.

One of those is what the devs wanted DS to counter (even if it doesn't do a good job, personally I think you should be able to use it after every time you're unhooked regardless of if you used it/missed it/weren't able to use it), the other is what many survivors try to say tunneling is.

  • @meatisadelicacy said:

They took a perk that helps counter the killer's decision to tunnel and made is so if the survivor plays the game, the survivor is punished. It's mind bogglingly stupid.

DS was the only thing that kept the game somewhat tolerable for me as a solo survivor. I don't know why they didn't change it so if the killer downs or hooks someone else, your DS is deactivated.

Pretty soon all the lobbies really will be SWFs on coms because this game is miserable for solo survivors.

I just have to ask, how does DS punish you for playing the game?

What other exhaustion add ons? Her’s and pigs (kinda outdated) are the only one’s

Berus Toxin (Common, no longer exists, replaced with Yellowed Cloth) gave Exhaustion for 30 seconds and then we still have Venomous Concoction which has 90 seconds but is now only 5. I was just saying that she doesn't have 2 anymore like she used to.

  • Honestly, it'll be a little difficult without DH but sounds like a fun speed build if it works.

Thanks for clarification. I saw the Silent Hill pack for sale on the PS Store and it was listed as $60 regular price. I didn't know it included the game. Even still, DBD is no more than $30 for PS4 usually, so was Silent Hill $30?Maybe the chapters are cheaper on Steam?

It would include the price of any characters and cosmetics it gave you. The Silent Hill addition also gave $20 worth of cosmetics which only leaves $10 and that's much closer to the actual price of the dlc. I'm sure it gave you something else with those extra $2 but I'm not sure what if anything.

  • I have 2

SAW (for licenses) because it's my favorite license of all time and brought me into this game

Cursed Legacy (for original) because it was the first dlc that came out after I started playing, I love Oni's power and the map is so cool. I also thought Yui was pretty cool.

  • The only thing I can say is true Huntress kept her exhaustion add-on, but they took away one and decreased the other by 85 seconds. So it's more up to speed with all other existing exhaustion add-ons/perks.

  • Nope. The only thing that gets transferred between PTB and live servers is when you go into PTB it has your data, but it won't do the other way around unfortunately.

  • I'd go Michael with his teachables and Sloppy

Felix with Deja Vu (for when Visionary is on cooldown)

  • PUNCH THE SURVIVOR! I mean... playing Nemesis was a lot of fun and I can't wait to play him again and figure out how his perks work with others in a ranked setting where I also understand the controls much better.

  • Fast Track

Prove Thyself (Kindred when playing solo)

    Decisive Strike

    Sprint Burst

  • Both special and standard editions come with the base characters. The only difference is that special editions give additional characters and at least some give cosmetics. So no matter what you will have Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Nurse, and Huntress for killers and Dwight, Meg, Claudette, Jake, Nea, Bill, and David for survivors. (Different platforms have different numbers of characters unlocked also, but those are the ones unlocked no matter what on every platform)

  • As Hag I'll trap the hook but I only go after the rescuer since I use Devour Hope and Make Your Choice. Besides, I'd feel bad trapping the hook like that and then going directly after the person that was just saved.

Thanks i'm a stats nerd & I find these types of things really interesting especially how varied they seem to be from player to player.

Trickster makes sense of course but i'm surprised Pyramid Head is so low he tends to have my number so if only he was my lowest that would be nice!

I like seeing stats too. I like taking them also within reason so that the game doesn't become boring for me. I personally also found it shocking how low Pyramid Head placed since I thought he was somewhere in the middle for me prior to taking stats this chapter.

  • Take out dbd and my favorite is any pokemon game. Personally been playing a lot more pokemon than dbd this last week cuz I'm recovering from wisdom teeth (which everyone made out to be this horrible awful ordeal that I'm gonna hate and yet have been completely fine).

Which killer have you faced the most out of interest?

Mines Blight by quite a margin at present strangely i'm currently facing very few spirits.

Trickster at 11.17% of my matches against him (43 times to be exact).

Also in case your curious, my least is Pyramid Head at 1.56% of my matches (6 times to be exact).

I started taking data the day Trickster released which is why he's so high. Second place is Doctor at 8.05% of my matches (31 times).

  • I can actually tell you how often I face Hillbilly since I've been taking data since Trickster released. Since Trickster released, I have faced Hillbilly 11 times out of the 385 survivor matches I've played.

If each killer was faced evenly in that amount of matches, each killer I would have faced 16-17 times.

  • I don't think it'll be as soon as the original characters, but I can't imagine them doing all these updates for originals and purposely leaving out the licensed. It will probably just take more time because they're licensed.

  • Not counting leveling him up because I always try to level all characters that release with a chapter (as of this last chapter) to Prestige 3 Level 50, but after that it'll probably be occasionally like most killers. Unless I'm completely drawn to him, but probably not.

Thanks for the answer, I actually didn't know! I'll be prepared next time I meet The Twins. I wish I see them more often, I like being chased by Victor. His noises make me laugh. "Graaaa grouaaa!"

Oh, KI is active when Charlotte is under control but not the contrary, right?

Correct. Charlotte has to be in control while Victor is standing somewhere.

two monsters actually, Demogorgon and Pyramid Head

Pyramid Head is a monster that was manifested from the mind of James Sunderland when he visit Silent Hill. he isn't human even if he looks humanoid.

Someone came up with a very good theory that this version of Pyramid Head isn't necessarily the same Pyramid Head even if they're both from Silent Hill. The theory is that this Pyramid Head is here to punish and torture the entity while also still choosing to follow MOST of it's rules. Pyramid Head can damage the ground of the trials with his trails (every other killer can only place things on it if they have something like that) and he doesn't need to hook if someone steps in his trails. Depending on their state, he can either cage or kill them.

At least... that's the theory I heard.

It's not the thread, but could you elaborate about Victor? I meet The Twins so rarely that I have no idea what to do against them.

Does it mean if I walk/run/stand still, Killer's instinct activate for Victor and he always knows where I am?

As for Demo's portal, I never tried to crouch on them... I usually stay alert if there is one which was not used yet, or I destroy it.

With Victor he has killer instinct if you're controlling Charlotte and you're within a certain range of him (I think the range is his shrieks). Usually killer instinct will always go off, but crouching and I believe standing still will not trigger it. If you're downed it doesn't matter, it will always trigger.

The nastiest Pig build is Tampered Timer + Crate of Gears, there's just not enough time to search all the boxes if you get unlucky with RNG

Tampered Timer should be changed if they make the trap value more consistent

I feel like they would. It would be a much more threatening combo than it already is if they didn't change it to match trap value.

Now THIS we can agree on. Spirit's not a fun killer to go against and playing her feels cheap.

    That makes sense.

Also, to everyone who's responding, I'm really enjoying reading and seeing who you've gotten to Prestige 3. It shows how much time and effort you put into this game and I'm loving it.

  • Descend Beyond, All-Kill, and Resident Evil are my favorite menu musics in the game, so I chose what I did cuz it has 2 of the 3 that I really love.

Really? So they changed it to merciless? Interesting. Did they say why?

I believe I heard the reason was because the original ebony mori let you kill without needing to hook so killers would put that on and get adept without trying. I'm not sure how that's different from hiding all game and either leave through the gate or bring a key and leave through the hatch.

  • In February my family took a mini vacation and I had taken my switch to play dbd when I could (we were there for 2 weeks so I had time) and I had to play handheld because there wasn't a tv I could use and I stg, handheld mode is way too dark. I remember playing on The Game map and it was so dark the only places I could kinda see were in the lights of generators that were already fixed. It was so difficult to play.

  • Personally, I'd just give aura reading for a little longer. I think giving aura reading to every time a survivor is injured by a basic attack will give you more info than old Object. Only difference is there is no downside to using it and you can't just see it whenever.

  • Devotion you kinda just get just for playing, but I'd love to see actual rewards for it because it shows your dedication to the game. Also, I'd love better rewards for Prestige.

  • The only time I lobby dodge is if the game forces me out, ping goes psycho, I have something I need to do, or the survivors look exactly the same.

  • Prove Thyself can't stack on top of itself. It's in the description. They were probably on different gens, in which case, it probably wouldn't have changed the outcome of the match by much and if they weren't on different gens, it still wouldn't have changed the outcome of the match.

  • You can't crouch over snares, you're supposed to wake up to not trip them.

  • I'm looking forward to it, the only real downside in my mind is, after 7 seconds you're down to 3 perks, and after 2 minutes now it's just 2. Hopefully you have an amazing early game because that's not easy to deal with.

  • I have 18,100 shards

I like to level up characters so I tend to use the Shrine of Secrets to gain extra bp faster when I have the shards. These shards are going to be used on the SoS in the morning and evening for the Resident Evil characters to level up.

  • The only justifiable dc is when it was completely outside of your control, but you wouldn't know that if you weren't the one who dc'd. It's just easier to assume it wasn't a justifiable dc.

  • I'm pretty sure the devs said once they were changing it so survivors lose their add-ons because killers do. I could be dead wrong, but that appears to be the actual reason.

Also: We're Gonna Live Forever double your bp

    1. Trickster
    2. Trapper
    3. Plague
    4. MAYBE Pig, idk I'm good at her but it seems to be consensus she's bad

You can tell whenever you disarm it because it shows when Hag pops out of the trap.

But that doesn't change that you "disarmed" it as you put it. Honestly, if you're doing it with you're feet you aren't disarming it, you're activating it and that's the point of the add-on. You can't see it activate.

  • @glitchboi said:

It's the most braindead Hag add-on out there. It removes the ability for survivors to disarm traps by running on them because of how unpredictable it is. Definitely needs a rework.

Regardless of if she has the add-on or not doesn't matter. If the trap is already activated you can't disarm it with a flashlight. The same with running. It doesn't feel like you're making a point because even running you disarm it the same.

  • I don't work for BHVR but I can still answer this question.

With Victor on your back you are not able to:

    1. Hear the terror radius (Oblivious status effect)
    2. Be healthy (Broken status effect)
    3. Leave through the exit gate
    4. Go into lockers
    5. Repair generators (Incapacitated status effect)
    6. Sabo hooks (Incapacitated status effect)
    7. Use items (Incapacitated status effect)
    8. Interact with survivors (Incapacitated status effect)
    9. Cleanse totems (Incapacitated status effect)

You are able to open gates with Victor. Although I've seen people unhook with Victor and I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to since that's "Interacting with other survivors."

  • I know this doesn't mean much but you're also able to disable offerings/perks/items and can disable dlc characters. I get what you mean though, I'd like it if they added more ways to customize custom lobbies.

  • I don't understand how "those affected" are those who bought it. Since when people bought it, they saw it wasn't the updated model, which means you knew what you were buying before purchasing the item. So wouldn't the actual crowd affected be the people who had it disabled and can't buy it? Therefore, they cannot use it?

Basically I'm saying when I saw that I saw "You can't buy this cosmetic and people who already have it can keep using it and get free 100k on top of it." Which makes no sense. It really doesn't sound like the people who have it are being affected at all, they were just told the model for your purchased cosmetic will be updated in the next patch and no one else can get it atm.

Yes, I'm absolutely being greedy right now for bp because I'm trying to level every single character in the game up to Prestige 3 Level 50.

  • Because Switch has such a small community of players, I've played with multiple switch players that I recognize from the forums (from switch related posts).

How is his addons not fair, it take the whole game to even benefit from them, even then ur going to dpip and your score will be very low.Do you also think devour hope or rancor is unfair and outdated lls?

Rancor you're only allowed to mori a single person the entire game and you would have had to FAIL to even get to that point, you'd most likely being trying the entire game up to that point. Not to mention that person you can mori can see your aura every time a generator pops although that doesn't mean as much. Devour Hope you still need to do your job as killer and is a hex which means survivors can get rid of it before it's even a threat to their gameplay. So no, I don't think either of them are unfair.

Myers, you don't need to do anything but stalk and you can bring perks to counteract any speed penalty. I have literally seen games get handed to both myself and other Myers because of these add-ons. You don't have to hit a single survivor at any point during the game with these add-ons. You can even pair them (at least the ultra rare, maybe not the very rare) with infinite tier 3 and PWYF to make sure you have no speed penalty and you can just kill everyone.

In all your games of playing Michael how many times did survivors allow you with ease stalk and tier up? I know in games i have played they drop a pallet and stand there giving me free stalk when they should be running blocking my line off sight or sit on a get knowing I'm stalking them just to finish it.

Michael has been in this game for a while and most people should know how to counter him or to lessen the amount off evil you can get from survivors but yet some just seem happy to feed him, add that on the amount that is needed to lvl up to tier 3 if you kill the wrong survivor one you haven't stalked off yet that limits how much more evil you can get unless you bring the unlimited tier 3 but that's a high risk/ high reward.

I have done that got my tier 2 to 90% ready to kill someone that was empty off evil and stalked the another person a bit to much by mistake and hit tier 3 and killed them even though i hadn't stalked them yet which left me with only 2 people with evil to get as one was dead and one was empty limiting me on how much more evil i could get the rest off the match.

" (especially when he got the stalk off of other survivors and he just had to tap the button to tier 3 off you) seem... a bit much." this part i can some what agree on and might need a slight change that a survivor has to be stalked a certain % before you can kill them, so it's not a free kill because your teammates allowed him to stalk them so much but he also stalked you enough to be able to kill you. So come end game even though Michael killed you using the tomestone addon he was able to stalk you enough to hit the % needed to be able to kill you.

I am not a steam player, I play on Nintendo Switch so not everyone (probably not even close to everyone) has played against Myers since his release in 2016. Also, you'd actually be surprised how many times survivors have just fed me stalk like they don't know how to counter Myers and I've also seen survivors just feed him stalk while playing Survivor, it doesn't happen every Myers game but it happens a lot. That being said, you make good points about being able to counter Myers and how it takes a very long time to get to Tier 3. Maybe they don't need to be completely removed and I'm wrong on that part, maybe something like you said where there has to be some sort of stalk % requirement in order to kill a survivor with it. Just something to make these add-ons feel more fair for todays dbd.

  • My largest thing is the 2 killing add-ons. Those add-ons seem more fair for when he first released. When pallets were every 2 inches, vacuums existed, and whatnot. Now the game is more balanced. Vacuums are gone, pallets are more spread out (on MOST maps) and so many other changes to make it more balanced. With that in mind, it makes these 2 add-ons (especially when he got the stalk off of other survivors and he just had to tap the button to tier 3 off you) seem... a bit much.

Now before someone starts calling me an entitled survivor main, I play both sides a lot and just finished playing a lot of Michael to level him up. I don't think those 2 add-ons (in their current form) should be in the game, AT ALL. They need to do something else.

  • The icons down by your perks are the symbols for the perks that you are currently being effected by.

    Picture 1: Deathbound

    Picture 2: Thanatophobia and Kindred

The red means that it's something that you are being held back/given a disadvantage from. Deathbound causing the oblivious status effect that you got in the first picture and thanatophobia slows down certain actions. The blue I think just means you're being effected by it positively. The red symbol by your repair bar is just indicating that your repair speed is slower.

    Hope that helps!

  • My only guess for why is probably her original model had all the nastiness from the plague itself and that's usually seen in some way in all her outfits and they didn't want the plague bits as noticeable so they made a new model. I don't know, that's just my guess. I'm probably off.
