  • Baby Dweet is very Dweety and I love him. You play Dweet? You get hatch.

They activate when a gen finishes. So if all gens are done, whatever traps you still have are useless. As far as I know, as long as it's been activated (was already on someone when a gen finished) the gates should kill them upon escape...

BUT for some awful reason the hatch is still available to escape even with an active trap.

This is my understanding. Hopefully if I'm mistaken someone will clarify.

No that's true, you can still escape through the hatch with an active trap. I think that should change because I personally don't see a reason why you can escape one way but not the other.

  • You can cheat on any platform, some are just harder to. Although I don't understand why people go through the trouble to cheat/hack because they just get caught and banned 99% of the time.

Again with the "no one's forcing you" / "its optional" argument. Its not true since you're FORCED to participate in the Rift/Challenges if you want any skins. You need to take off the "BHVR cannot do anything wrong" merchandise.

I'm not saying they don't do anything wrong. I never said that. You decide that you wanted those specific cosmetics so you do the challenges. You're making the decision to grind for those cosmetics. You can get cosmetics without the rift, but you want the rift cosmetics. How many games have something similar? A lot? You make it sound like Behavior is the only one doing this when they aren't. I was talking about the event and saying it's not a bad thing, but your making it sound like I'm talking about the entire game. The game does need to be fixed up but being mad about a 2 week event that's going to also include the archives is stupid.

Nobody likes gross live service crap in games they paid for. Stop being a bootlicker

This is the forums. I'm giving my opinion about the game and topic. Which I'm allowed to do. Don't be toxic and rude because you don't agree with what I said. If you have such a problem with the event, don't play it. No one is forcing you to. Especially if it's mostly archives stuff then you really aren't being forced to. You just won't have an event to play.

Back in the day we earned currency depending on objectives completed during trials that we could spend on Halloween skins. It should return to that.

So you'd rather complain about something that's happening based off of a PAST EVENT then be happy we're still getting events? No one is forcing you to play the event. If you don't like the event then don't play it and shut up. No one wants to hear negativity. So the devs want to implement something they've created into an event, big deal. It's their game.

  • NOED has no need to be nerfed because all you need to do is cleanse the totems and congratulations no NOED.

  • If you know what stridor means then you know why it effects breathing and not footsteps. If you ask me that should be added to Predator which already deals with scratch marks.

  • Brand New Parts are a bit op especially if someone also has Prove Thyself. I was playing Nurse the other day and three people got on a gen one with prove thyself and two with brand new parts (one of bnp users was also the prove thyself person) and the generator was done before I was halfway across the map while also using my blinks. That was RIDICULOUS!!!!

  • I forgot about that. So levels 1-9 and 11 are forced. Every other level you don't have to.

  • No, unfortunately everything until Level 10 you have to get.

  • I think people should stop complaining. Seriously would you rather have nothing? At least we're getting something.

  • I'm a killer main and agree that moris should be changed. First, I don't like games over in five seconds which is why I have 27 ebony moris on my Pig/25 on my Doc and don't plan on using them any time soon. Second, I don't like survivors leaving the match when they don't see the offering flip over. Third, I also play a lot of survivor and know how annoying it is to get mori'd. However, I think the one thing survivor mains leave out a lot because they don't like it is that if they change moris, they'll do the same keys. Since they are both designed to end matches faster.

Personally I think that in order to use a mori at least 2 generators need to be done and the survivor needs to be on death hook in order to be used. Exceptions for the Cypress Mori because it's fine as is and Hex: Devour Hope.

I propose the generators at the least because the hatch can spawn at 2 gens if 2 survivors left and 1 gen if 3 survivors are left. If keys have a limit of when they can be used tied to amount of generators, then the moris should too. It's only fair in my opinion. I'm not sure if that work, but that's just my opinion.

  • You're the player who teabags and points every time a killer makes a mistake and says "gg to ez get good bby killer" in the endgame chat, aren't you? That's the kind of vibe I'm getting from this post.

Doc is only easy to play if you're playing against actual potatoes. I don't remember the last time I died to a Doctor.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1680470#Comment_1680470

Go tell Archdruid Drey he takes no skill to play.

Doc is easy to play but to compare how easy he is to play against solid survivors isn't a good comparison. There are maybe 2 or 3 killers I can think of that take very little skill and it could be like your third game and you do well against solid survivors. Doc is not one of them, but that doesn't mean he's hard to play.

  • Ok thank you, I wasn't sure because the gen got done so fast that I didn't even know what to think, even for 3 people being on it max since it was the bathroom generator in the map.

  • Yeah I was hoping September too, I actually heard a rumor it won't be available till mid-November which really made me sad.

  • The devs haven't made it available yet. I'm waiting too.

  • I'm not an og player but it doesn't matter what was happening at the time that legacy was available. Having legacy is a really cool thing but it's called legacy for a reason. It shows "Hey I was playing at this time." I think it would be cool to have something similar to legacy that's not legacy for dlcs but I truly believe legacy should stay just for the people who have it. Legacy should not just be handed out and the achievements thing is a bad idea because that means nintendo switch players cannot get them. I play on steam and nintendo switch and I can tell you that Nintendo Switch players can't access achievements because nintendo doesn't do achievements. It would exclude an entire player base from getting them.

  • I generally don't have a need to camp because I main Pig so my traps keep the survivors busy while I go find other survivors. On the off chance it gets really far into the game and no one is dead I will camp, but I generally have enough pressure and distracted survivors so I don't need to camp to gain kills. Also, people have like forgotten how to face Pig lately so I definitely don't need to camp. I'm getting 1-3 trap kills a game.

  • Yeah this is a constant problem and until the devs fix it the best way is to drop the survivor next to the hook and pick them back up. Although I've also seen that you can go to another hook or just let the survivor wiggle out, but the latter isn't a great idea.

  • I main Pig as a killer and personally I don't think she needs too many changes. I think the Video Tape and Rule Set No 2 add-ons should be just part of her ability and her roar when going into an ambush needs to be quieter. I do also think a few of the add-ons need to be reworked but for the most part I don't think she needs a "Freddy style" rework and she's mostly fine as is.

But if you look at the changes over the past year...

    Start with EGC

killers complained survivors would wait at the gates and never leave. Thus EGC was born to stop that. Good for killer.

Killers complained the hatch was survivor sided. Granted it was. Then they switched it to be killer sided. It had to be one or the other but they put it in that direction for the killer.

When these changes came in they wanted to make the Exit Gates 15 seconds so survivors had a chance but killers complained and it was reverted to 20 seconds. The amount of times those extra 5 seconds would have let me escape...

Meanwhile survivors still get slugged and left to bleed out. Nothing changes about that. They change something to improve killers experience but not survivors.

Killers complained about OoO especially swf. So they change killers so that stealth killers aren’t affected. Good for killers but they changed Kindred too so that now Ghostface and Wraith can camp to their hearts content and never be revealed.

Killers complained about instaheals and they got nerfed to the point that they aren’t really special anymore. Toolboxes got nerfed too to the point of being worthless. Yeah it helps the games balance as these stacked could be OP before however nothing is done on the killer side. You can still stack ultra rare add ons, NOED and an ebony and play as toxic as you want.

The maps have been problematic for a while and that’s reflected in the killrate/survival rate. Coldwind maps were bad for killer, Hawkins bad for survivor. What happens? All the coldwind maps get touched up but Hawkins remains a death zone even though statistically it was more unbalanced than any coldwind map.

All of these combined, wel Tru3 put up a video the other day. Sure you can say it was just a Trapper but still, brings ultra rare add ons, NOED and an ebony, plays like a twat and leaves the last one on the ground until just before bleed out constantly setting traps in front of him. Killers can be dicks as much as they want it seems.

Killers tunnel and camp and its always excused by some cocky sod as “its just killers being efficient ;)”, well survivors looping all game is just survivors trying to be efficient at surviving. Sure both sucked but what happens? God loops get fixed and maps get tile changes. Those changes were good for killer Im not disagreeing that they needed to happen eventually but what a surprise that once again they go out of their way to improve killer gameplay but not survivor.

Basically its not about nerfs or buffs. Its about the fact that the devs have worked to improve the killer experience but survivor is just as miserable as ever. “Oh look here’s another Freddy with his best add ons, NOED and an ebony. Oh look hes just tunneling people straight off hook again.” Such fun gameplay.

I'm a killer main and I can agree that some of those are factual, but if you're in a match with extremely altruistic and smart survivors, those reasons almost become null and void. Also, killers don't get rewarded for camping. Camp as much as they want, camping can effect a killers rank and they don't get any bloodpoints for doing so. You would actually get less bloodpoints because you get points for every time you hook someone. If you camp until someone is dead, you only got the bloodpoints from hooking them once, the entity being summoned, and them actually dying. Hook them three times and you got what I listed previously, plus you get bloodpoints for hooking two more times. I also don't think that by bringing the best add-ons, an ebony mori, and NOED is a killer being efficient. That just sounds like a killer being toxic. For maps being changed, although infinite loops are getting taken out, there are some maps that are gaining things to make gameplay better for survivors even if small. For instance, you can no longer be trapped by the killer on the top floor of the Thompson House. There's a new window being installed. Certain killer perks have also been nerfed in the last year. Hex: Ruin was changed in January. Generator repairs aren't being slowed down as much. Even though survivor benefits do seem to be being taken away, that doesn't automatically mean the devs favor the killers when dealing with updates. Also, would you say getting rid of hatch stand-offs by allowing killers to close the hatch is all that bad? Sure it is killer sided, but if you are close to an exit gate and they are far enough away from the killer or you hide pretty well, you should still be able to get out even with the killer being able to close the hatch. Also, I do play a fair amount of survivor even though I'm a killer main. I have seen it from both sides. I think what the devs have done is great and although the changes in the last year seem completely killer sided, that's also only looking at the changes making it easier for the killers. That's obviously not going to be the case where everything is to make the killers happy and give them 4k's every match. Even if smaller, there are survivor changes. They also don't need to be all that big seeing how there are 4 survivors in a match and 1 killer.
