  • Killer: Twins (I've only seen 4 since I've started taking data and I've played 324 survivor matches since then so they're pretty rare.)

Survivor: I'd have to say Quentin, he was pretty popular for a while on switch back in December but I think that's only cuz that's when NOES dropped on switch and it was right next to Twins which were (and kinda still are) viewed as pretty weak killers.

  • @A_Skinny_Legend said:

I'll be excited for the killer, hoping not to be dissapointed over the map and the killer's power.

As for the survivor, as long as I get Kennedy, I'll be fine. I wonder what the survivor perks will be.

I'll be excited if they even introduce a map, it's been a YEAR with missed opportunities because of the graphical update that's honestly done more harm then good.

  • The killer I'm guessing will be Nemesis

Survivors I'm guessing it will be Leon and/or Jill

and I guess if I lose I'm playing Nurse (oh god please be right)

  • I don't think it's necessarily impossible. That would be huge if there were 2 killers in the chapter, but I don't think it's likely. Just for the fact that it feels like balancing one killer for live release is hard enough for the devs, imagine asking them to do 2. We'd be waiting a month for the chapter drop, maybe more, and I don't think they want to release it in July.

Or they'd do what they did with Twins and release the killers "incomplete" and we all saw how well that went over for people. At least on the forums.

  • I've been taking personal stats of killers I've played/ran into as survivor and this is what I've found:

    In 319 survivor matches...

5.64% of my matches have been against a Ghost Face (putting him as 4th most seen killer for me)

    and because you mentioned Blight

2.51% of my matches have been against a Blight (putting him as tied for 4/5/6th least seen killer for me)

This data has been taken since the All-Kill Chapter dropped on live servers.

However, I will add that I didn't see Ghost Face for more than a week when All-Kill first dropped, but once he came back, he came back.

  • I see a lot of killers go for Bill players out of fear of Borrowed Time and Unbreakable. They don't like dealing with those perks after all.

  • Are you 100% sure the survivor wasn't already injured from a previous chase or that you just missed the first hit? Either that or it's a bug/hacking because Demo can't instantly down a survivor if that's what you're talking about.

  • I've always just thought of the survivors as having the same realm as the killer they came with. For situations where they did not come with a certain map, I guess I always just started associating them with whatever realm felt fitting in my opinion or whichever killer I associated with them I'd say "Oh they have the same realm." Like this:

    MacMillan Estate - Dwight/Ghost Face

    Autohaven Wreckers - Claudette/Jake/Bill

    Coldwind Farm - Meg/Yun-Jin/Cannibal/Trickster

    Crotus Prenn Asylum - Nea/Kate/Felix/Blight

    Haddonfield - Laurie

    Backwater Swamp - Ace

    Lery's Memorial Institute - Feng

    Red Forest - David/Jane/Ash

    Springwood - Quentin

    Gideon Meat Plant - Tapp

    Yamaoka Estate - Adam/Yui

    Ormond - Jeff/Elodie/Twins

    Hawkins National Laboratory - Nancy/Steve

    Grave of Glenvale - Zarina

    Silent Hill - Cheryl

Note: The only reason I associate Trickster and Yun-Jin with coldwind is because that was the realm that got updated within this chapter/mid-chapter patch

  • I think you gave Stake Out not enough credit and Self-Care too much credit imo. I've seen too many people use self-care and it ending up killing their team because they cared more about slowly healing themselves over objectives/safe saves. Fast Track I'd personally put a little higher in the B Tier or even at the bottom of the A Tier, but I can live with the decision because it's still in the B Tier and not one of the lower ones. Stake Out is pretty good as well, you're kinda sleeping on it's ability to know if you're even on the edge of the terror radius (when it's too quiet to hear) and giving you a great skill check for every token gained. Sure it's not active against killers in chase or without a radius, but it's still good.

  • It'll most likely launch right after the release of the Resident Evil Chapter or it'll launch after the stream (if the RE reveal doesn't happen at the very end).

  • I think you should be able to select 2 regular challenges, a regular challenge and master challenge, or only a single master challenge because the amount of times I'm doing a regular challenge and then technically meet the requirements of a master challenge in a single round, but then do the master challenge and it takes a couple days to do... is insane.

Because we don't get to play the new killer.

You're on PC, you have the privilege of PTB.

    This isn't petty, it's fair.

Take it from a console player when I say it's petty. Sure, they're playing them, but they also have to deal with bugs that we don't for either a few more weeks or never. I got a pc that I could play ptbs on, but even before I did and I was strictly console, I didn't mind just watching streams and videos. Sometimes I was even glad I wasn't able to play the ptb depending on the existing bugs or what they changed. (Silent Hill midchapter? SO GLAD I didn't have a pc to play the ptb on, that looked really bad). Also trust me when I say, the ptb isn't very fun. Matchmaking doesn't exist and makes the matchmaking in live servers look pleasant. I only play the ptb for a day and then get off because it's not fun.

However to answer the question of the og poster: I believe we will be getting the ptb on the same day as the reveal. They did that last year after the stream was over.

  • A nice Ghost Face. That's who gets the most teabags.

  • I have two.

    "Rumors" by Lindsay Lohan

    "Gibberish" by MAX

  • I don't remember most shows I watched as a child because my parents banned like 10 shows from myself and my siblings from watching because they were "bad influences." Which is funny because one not banned was Avatar the Last Airbender (my favorite show from my childhood) and that show was DARK.

  • Comparing gen slowdown to exhaustion perks is kind of weird to me. Why aren't you comparing gen slowdown to the gen speedup that survivors get? On a 4 person gen, you can stack a prove thyself with a random toolbox you found in a chest (or brought with you) along with spine chill/resilience (if injured) and be done in like 20 seconds.

I get that's a pretty specific example, but talking about stacking gen speedup to stacking gen slowdown feels more right then "Oh I'm going to compare these perks that deal with chases to these perks that deal with gens and say they're comparable."

On that note, I completely agree with @TragicSolitude on this.

  • No killer should spawn really close to a survivor and no survivor should spawn really close to a gen. It makes no sense that one side has to look for their objective while the other side can start immediately in my opinion. It's why perks like Corrupt are great. Killers tend to spawn very far away from survivors and survivors spawn on top of generators. Corrupt keeps survivors from getting on generators immediately as long as they didn't spawn next to one of the 4 unblocked generators.

Seriously, I can't tell you how many times just in the last week as survivor I've spawned so close to a generator I literally just need to click the button to start working, don't have to move or anything. Yet as killer I need to walk across the map and hope there weren't 2-4 survivors on a generator.

  • I love using Dying Light for slowdown, but you can't beat how much faster chases end with the reduced cooldown of Save The Best For Last.

  • I don't see them very often (only 1.35% of my total matches since Trickster came out), but people definitely still play them.

  • One of my friends I play with daily runs aftercare, take them out and I still just saw Aftercare yesterday on 3 people. 2 in one match and another in a different.

  • @Brokenbones said:

Because if they worked for special attacks, they would become too strong on certain killers.

Exposed for example, imagine if Blight could insta-down people with Lethal Rush (without the ultra-rare) or if Oni could slug people using Knock-out. Pyramid head's POTD triggering various effects

The only exception seems to be Nurse and I'm not 100% sure why, maybe because her power is also how she moves/the only viable way to attack with her

It's because her post blink is still considered a basic attack, not special. Probably because she has to rely on her blinks to win so if it was special then any perk that only effects basic attacks would be useless on her like running self-care and no mither.

  • Congratulations! You found the mythical Headless Myers that roams the realm of the entity! They say, if you tbag 3 times, he will instantly kill you.

ON A SERIOUS NOTE: That is a really weird bug.

  • This question almost feels like it can be determined in different ways.

Like @MadLordJack said, best as in strong? Well then you're looking at killers like Nurse, Spirit, Blight, and Hag. Best as in rewarding? Then you're looking at Blight, Plague, Oni, and Huntress. However I read this even a different way, best as in fun. In which case, that's kinda up to the person. I find Pig, Doc, and Ghost Face really fun but not everyone agrees with that.

  • I disagree with this post entirely. Every part. I've gone up against Ghost Face 5.34% of my matches and Demogorgon only 1.53% of the time. Also, every Ghost Face I've gone against, even the times when I play him, do EXTREMELY well. I think the worst I've seen a Ghost Face do is a 2k by the time the gates are powered and that's the worst. I'm usually able to end a game with 3 gens still needing to be repaired unless there's a swf. Even then, I don't think I've had as much trouble as you're claiming Ghost Face to have in a WHILE.

  • @fogdonkey said:

The Devs already told that it is NOT going to be Lady Dimitrescu.

No they didn't. If so, can you please provide the source? They've said in the past they won't debunk peoples ideas because it makes it easier to figure out the character, especially when licensed.

  • Halloween night was the last time I played in a 4 person swf and that's because one person had to leave so we didn't want to customs anymore.

I'm very sorry for not seeing this before. The team is looking into it as we speak, so hopefully the issue will be able to be resolved quickly.

THANK YOU @MandyTalk ! This is great news!

  • My only actual issue with originals is how the last few original chapters have taken a deep dive in power, however they have always seemed to bring in a strong or balanced killer for every weak one so I'm not too concerned. Other than that, I really love seeing what the devs can come up with instead of all what we could probably already guess based off of preconceived notions of the licensed killers and survivors.

I don't SWF very often and when I do it's typically with one other person, at most with two. Unfortunately I don't think I can coordinate something like that. I have to hope for a farming round where the Killer and Survivors are off playing knock down - pick up, I think! 😥

We weren't playing at the same time, we just both got it in similar ways.

  • I was able to complete every single challenge in the archives up to this point, but might I say that how you describe how you'll probably get the Dark Sense challenge is exactly how both myself and my friend got the challenge. We sat on generators while the other 3 kept the killer busy.

  • The only part I don't agree with is using her weapon as a reason against why she'd come into the game. Multiple killers have similar/same weapons. My largest reason for why I don't think it will be her is I feel like her power would be really similar to Oni and outside the Chainsaw Bros (because Hillbilly as far as I know was based on Leatherface), I don't see a reason to give a licensed killer a very similar power to an original killer. I also don't see a way to make her power unlike Oni's unless you went with the fact that she's SORT OF a stalking killer and I think that would be A, not smart and B, unnecessary because we already have 2 stalking killers that fill the role of "stalker" much better.

It’s actually ridiculous. I agree the game costs way more on Switch compared to any other platform. I’ve got to the point where I will refuse to spend any more money on this game because they just act like Switch players don’t exist.

Because we aren't the majority, not by far, and it's unfair that our bugs go unacknowledged/unfixed for months and have it feel like they only fix our bugs if they have nothing else to do and feel like it. Just because there aren't a lot of switch players on the forums/we aren't the majority.

Seriously, they paid no attention to the Elodie screaming bug until the devs precious pc players were experiencing it, even though Switch players had already been experiencing it for weeks and it had already been reported by a Switch player weeks before.

  • @thiccjaneromero said:

Hello, is this being looked into yet?

Probably not, they don't look at switch posts it feels like because the devs only care about what the majority wants fixed and so Switch almost never gets fixed, it took them 9 updates (3 major, 6 hotfixes) before they fixed the various sound bugs on switch and when they do fix something on switch fast it's usually something that someone would have gone WAY out of their way to make happen.

I'd like to remind the devs that out of every platform, SWITCH PAYS THE MOST TO GET THE GAME. YEAH WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A SMALLER COMMUNITY.

  • Personally, I'd like to see some old school Resident Evil. However, as long as the power isn't stupidly bad like the last 2 killers and I'm satisfied with the new perks... I really don't care which characters from Resident Evil come in.

  • I love prestige. At the moment, it's my goal to try and prestige all of the characters in the game.

    I have

    Killers: 16 Prestige 3 Level 50, 4 Prestige 2, 3 Prestige 1, none not Prestiged

    Survivors: 5 Prestige 3 Level 50, 2 Prestige 2, 18 Prestige 1, none not Prestiged

I like it because it gives me something to do in the game, I can maybe play with different builds if I don't get the same stuff in the bloodwebs, and maybe find a combo I really love on a specific killer. Obviously, survivors I can just be like this build works for all.

  • Understood. Yui is now the best survivor... besides David... and Felix.

  • I'm a switch player and someone (who does stream) swears up and down I tunnel and camp them every single game they get against me, but when you watch their videos they always seem to have plenty of time to heal or throw themselves in front of me or someone does an unsafe save before I even have time to get away from the hook, etc.. Basically, things that aren't my fault. I love people who swear up and down false things.

  • The Beneviento House creeped me out, other than that I loved the game a lot. Thought it was really cool and had so many "######### IS GOING ON" moments in my opinion.

  • Swfs are really hard to face, but I don't necessarily have a problem with them. DS has already been addressed and BT is only a problem if camping and tunneling (or camping and going after the rescuer but the person who has BT active on them bodyblocks for them). I want keys addressed because for me, they almost make the game more stressful then fun.

PS: not a killer main however the vast majority of my matches are killer so I think it's pretty similar

  • @DwightFairfield said:

Despite the lawsuits, I think if they got the holy trinity of slasher icons in their game then there'd be no stopping them.

I'm almost scared for Jason coming into this game FOR that reason. Just because I think we can agree the devs have already sorta slipped away from their community, what happens if they get the last slasher move icon? I can't imagine anything good for the community.

  • @Cornpopers_Evan said:

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up but, seeing as how according to cough leaks cough, there's not just been one, nor two but THREE new DLC slots added we could either be seeing a HUGE blowout for the Resident Evil chapter(this is what I personally believe) or, equally as exciting, we could actually see multiple chapters announced in the year 5 stream. If the latter part is true though, what the chapter could be is anyone's guess, I'm going to personally go with Springtrap because, if I know Scott at all, he likes to constantly trick and troll everyone to throw people off then hit them with something when least expected. Just a theory though.

What I think is happening is obviously one of those is the chapter dlc, another is like what they did last year with Silent Hill and the cosmetic pack (I still have no clue why it's called a cosmetics pack when it gives you the base game, a dlc, and only 2 cosmetics). Then I have no clue what that last dlc could be. Maybe it is another license or it's more RE stuff in which case I wonder what it specifically is.

  • They only mentioned Dead Hard being fixed, not the grabs. Although I can't see why they'd fix one and not the other. Then again, they fixed pallets before they fixed grabs and grabs/DH have been broken for much longer.

People keep saying they won't fix grabs because it's "Just a latency issue", yeah well latency issues can't just be completely negated if a survivor stops an action at the correct time.

  • I was Rank 2 killer and Rank 4 survivor, now I'm still a Rank 2 killer and Rank 4 survivor.

Hey! Yes it was me at that match. I do not know what happened during that chase on the shack you have mentioned, hard to say if you were unlucky or if there is a bug. I know the other 3 guys were playing together. You played well, gg buddy.

Thank you, ggs (You're one of the few good switch players that I actually enjoy facing btw).

  • I suck at Deathslinger so I wasn't surprised by that round (if that was in fact you). Only thing I'm shocked about is when I missed that hit at the killer shack.

  • @Yuretz said:

Agree, since Freddy was released I have never played on Springwood maps when crossplay is disabled.

I also play on Nintendo Switch.

I know, I think you just loaded into my lobby. As a Kate. Unless there's another Yuretz somewhere.

  • Honestly, better the bug be that we got firecrackers instead of something like you load into a lobby and instantly explode and die or something

  • The leak said it was for a gnome related event, like the one happening now that the devs conveniently didn't tell anyone about and is happening.
