I'm not going to say it's easy to pip with Trickster in the red ranks, but he's not too bad to at least gain safety.
-
I believe once it's less than a day, it'll start counting down hours, but I've always finished rifts with at least a week left so I've never paid too close attention. I'd still try to finish the rift as best you can tonight.
-
Depends. If I'm the survivor the killer hits that we find out there's devour, I curse for like five minutes (at least that's how it feels). If I'm not, I'm just like "Oh. Oh no. This is about to get interesting."
-
Yes, it works for both Huntress and Trickster.

It took 5 years for Iri head to be nerfed.
It took 5 years for mori's to be in an acceptable position.
BHVR makes a lot of questionable decisions regarding balance, but saying they are Survivor sided is foolish.
Huntress hasn't even been out for 4 years (July 27, 2017 was her release date). So that first part is impossible. Other than that, this is very true.

Can’t win them all lol
Apparently... not even when you're winning. lmao

I have one from today. I was playing on The Game map as Doctor right? I was doing very well, as Doctor's do on The Game. 3 generators were left and 2 survivors alive. I downed one of them, static blasted, and found the other. I chased them around the map since now they were tier 3 and couldn't save their friend. I downed them and hooked them. Then I pick up the last survivor and at that moment, my mom decided to mess with the breakers and shut off the internet and I was disconnected from the game. It was kind of hilarious, but I was so devistated because it was going to be a 32k game with 4 stacks of bbq and a bps, so 96k bp down the drain for bad timing.

Lucky you lol. But that map is still trash in general. Especially for freddy. There's no loops to set your snares. It's just running around and having every pallet thrown in your face. Which is a perfect way to beat freddy
If it's so perfect and the fact that it's something everyone does/is capable of doing, I'm surprised Freddy has a kill rate as high as he does. I've played against and as Freddy on the updated version of The Game map, worst I've seen a Freddy do is a 1k but it was someone who had cursed matchmaking and was fairly new to the game. Takeout that one match, the worst I saw a Freddy do on the new Game map is a 3k.

Hate to tell you. That map is trash for freddy too
Hate to tell you. I've gotten nothing but 4ks playing fair as Freddy. Do you really think I commented on which killers are good on the map and who aren't without experience against and as them on that map?

PC, for all it's advantages only gets Wraith, Billy, Trapper, Huntress, and Nurse.
Out of all of those, Huntress is the best option, so I hope newbie PC players have good aim. When you need a direct hit. With arcing projectiles that for whatever reason are thrown up instead of forward.
This is true. I also have the pc version, but I prefer my switch because by the time I got the pc version I was so used to switch and had built up so much in my switch version. Yeah with those 5 as the only base killers, it does make Gideon very difficult and I would agree that Huntress is the best option out of those 5.

See, there's a bit of an issue there.
Not everyone has those killers.
Also, once again, there is no way to avoid being blinded over and over and over unless you just give up and sit in the corner.
That's a fair point. That's where balancing comes in, even if BHVR isn't the best at it, they need to balance the map.
Also, I'm a switch player where Doc and Spirit are both base game and thought for a second "Wait Doc and Spirit are base game what do you mean? You should have access to both easily." lmao
-
It's annoying as some of the weaker killers, but killers like Spirit, PH, Doc, and Freddy still are good on this map and survivors struggle against.
-
It's 100% the sweaty, competitive, toxic tryhards that are ruining dbd. I've always been told that dbd used to not be like this, therefore I don't think it was intended for what the player base has become.
-
@Drixpy_Jayyy said:
@ChurchofPig i know that but I was just saying for the heck of it
I don't think they'd do it just for the heck of it. I don't think that would be good for balancing purposes.
-
No. Huntress had an add-on change because her add-ons were old per se and some were too strong for current dbd. Deathslinger's were made with current dbd in mind. Huntress also had the wrong number of each rarity of add-on, but if what's in the ptb goes live then she still won't have the "right" number.
-
Rework: Myers, Twins
Buff: Pig, Trapper
Nerf: Spirit

It also helps increasing the changes of getting high rarity items and add-ons on your blood wed. I don't know by how much tho.
It's such a small amount that I didn't even notice the difference until Prestige 3 Level 10 for literally any killer or survivor I've gotten to Prestige 3 (which is 14 killers and 5 survivors).

So as crazy as it's gonna make me seem, I normally play any killer im learning strictly without add-ons which might be good for you buy if not nothing wrong with putting on some good add-ons. Now that his recoil is fixed it's easy to land knives on someone in the open and easier to commit. Remember you're a slower killer so quick downs are important
Don't be afraid to let someone go if it's taking too long to down them and if they're close dont waste time with knives go for m1. Im not sure about perk builds but im sure there are some good ones out there.
I do the same thing when learning a killer.
-
I just want the chest bug dealt with, for there to be an animation you need to go through to open that hatch, and only 1 person can escape through it with a key. I'd even go as far to say if someone uses a key with 2 survivors left, the key negates the 1 survivor left rule and still immediately closes the hatch behind the survivor so the last survivor has to do a gen or just have it in that situation auto cause egc so the survivor has to get a door.
-
I just played on Ormond twice last night, pallets aren't all that safe. Maybe 3 that are, but even then I see people throw them so early for no reason that they aren't even there when they'd actually be needed.

Silent Hill Chapter for sure! I was never interested in Silent Hill before it but playing as Pyramid Head and Cheryl really got me interested in Silent Hill lore. Plus, Executioner is a great killer in the right hands (aka, mine 😈)
I think you're mistaking All Kill with Chains of Hate though. Chains of Hate was the first DLC of 2020.
I didn't realize the games anniversary was in January. I go from anniversary to anniversary. Otherwise year 1 ended after 6 months.
Therefore, I am not incorrect because Chains of Hate came out last spring and the anniversary is in the summer.

Yeah I think that the killers' unique "theme music" (I believe that's essentially the same thing that you're referring to) is pretty cool. I like pretty much all of them. I haven't been playing the game long enough to know a time when things were different. It's just the generic "dun-dun-dun-dun" killer wander music that I don't care for.
I started playing when the game released on switch which was like the week after Stranger Things released and I've been following what's been goin on in dbd since Ghost Face released.
-
@miketheratguy said:
I wish I could choose my lobby theme from earlier ones that I didn't get to enjoy. As much as I love rad 80s-style neon (not sarcasm) I felt much more immersed in this game when it loaded up a quiet campfire in the woods.
Regarding music, am I the only one who feels that it's weird to have a moderately low thumping ambient score when playing as the killer? It seems artificial to me, like the killer is listening to his ipod. I'd rather it be completely silent when stalking. The chase music is fine, it's the "okay, the match has begun, go find victims" track that I don't like.
You're not completely alone on that about the ambient score. I just want my custom music because when they give it to us, it gives this feeling of "This killer really was just brought into the modern dbd era." When they don't change it, it feels like "Oh, well they're still old dbd standards." I just think certain killers deserve their music given to them even if there are some like you where it's like "The chase music is fine".
-
I mostly find it weird just because of hit validation. You can see one sides ping, but you can't see your own as killer? Even though a large part of hit validation has to do with killer ping? It doesn't make sense.
-
There will definitely be legendary cosmetics, however I'm not sure if the "entire cast" as you put it will be introduced as legendary cosmetics for the base one/two survivors/killers. Like @GoobyNugget said, just RE being put in dbd is a massive cash grab.
-
I know the person won't ever see it or know I did it, but if a player was mvp or just really impressive over all in a match without being overly toxic, I'll give them a thumbs up.
-
From what I understand, I heard somewhere that bhvr starts making chapters 3 chapters ahead and so the Resident Evil Chapter would have been being worked on starting in September around Blight's release. From what I was told, they didn't announced Resident Evil Village until October. I don't think Lady Dimitrescu will be a killer if that's true because I don't see why they'd start designing for a licensed killer that, at the time of starting the chapter, no one even knows exists yet.
So I don't think Lady Dimitrescu will be a killer, but she might be a legendary skin for someone.

If we talk about design, your right, and slugging it's not that bad of a strat honestly, but if we talk how viable they're, your not right, a good twins it's ######### awful to go against, unless you enjoy staying three minutes in the ground
But you can say the same about any killer if you're talking about a good killer. A good Wraith is going to be just as bad as good Twins or good Trickster or good Demogorgon. If you're going up against someone who knows how the killer they're playing works and knows how to pressure on the maps, it's going to be awful to go against. To me that's like a "Well duh." If you're facing a killer that knows exactly what they're doing and knows who they're playing that's terrifying no matter what killer they're physically playing.
-
I got it for 2 reasons:
- I have the time to play the game and I can finish challenges
- I get all my cells back
-
I love playing him. Is he the best killer? No, but I still love him. I love having a killer that sounds like a psycho.

First of all the twins aren't the worst killer in the game, by a long shot, if played as a slugging machine they're pretty decent. And comparing pig with trickster, as always been kinda stupid, they're so different like day and night, plus, pig it's not as weak as people think, she's on the weaker side, but not bad honestly, but it could be my biases as a pig main lol.
If you need to use one of the worst strategies in the game to get a 4k as a killer, they are not decent in my opinion. Second, I agree with you about Pig.
-
Personally for me I think he's much better than he was. My whole problem with Trickster (as a console player) was that recoil. Once they weakened the recoil effect, he became a much better killer to play, at least for me. For the people saying he's better than Pig, I will discuss that with you in the parking lot lmao. On a serious note, I think Pig is still stronger than Trickster. I think the Award for Worst Killer in Dead by Daylight can return to Twins now.
-
If this interview series of yours continues, one day I'd love to be interviewed. Btw, I love the interviews so far.
-
I've been playing him a lot and the last several games I've gotten 4ks without straight up M1. Although last night was a struggle.
-
My largest issue with this nerf is that the Daily Ritual "Rite of the Twins" encourages slugging because it states that you have to down survivors with Victor. So why they encourage slugging with their ritual and how it's agreed by the community who's played Twins that the most viable way to play them is a slug fest, I don't know why they're making them weaker. If a killer feels like they need to use an all around unhealthy strategy to get the kills with the killer and most people feel the same, that's not the player that's at fault it's the poor design of the killer.
-
I love Pig to death, but I personally think it's Huntress. I feel like Huntress would have really cool music.
-
I want all but FNAF on this list. I just chose a random one.
-
Not sure about a hybrid and Oni already has a Minotaur skin so there's absolutely no way a Minotaur as a separate killer will come to dbd.
-
I have an unpopular opinion I know. However, for some reason when I play as and against Plague I get really nauseous. Trickster is just as fun, but without the nauseous feeling. That's just my preference.
-
Bait them out then just hit them. It surprisingly works on who I go against.
-
I just love how they nerfed downing survivors with Victor when their Rite of ritual is LITERALLY DOWNING SURVIVORS WITH VICTOR.
-
I believe it's a bug. Anything above Victor's head it supposed to kill him and I'm pretty sure vaults count.
-
My friend once told me of a match they had earlier this week where the survivors all brought shiny coins and they were trying adept Twins so there were 13 chests on the map. They went in the killer shack (it was one of the Autohaven maps idr which one) and there were like 6 keys on the floor. They just gave up and come endgame there was someone running a full chest build. Plunderer's, Appraisal, Pharmacy (so there was a medkit somewhere idk), and idr the last perk, I think they said it was something like Spine Chill or Sprint Burst. They guessed they were either swf or all pc players. I felt bad because that's insane. To be fair, I don't know and it's not like my friend would know if any were broken or if they were all dull/skeleton keys. I'm honestly surprised with 13 chests on the map, that build, and rarities being kinda broken right now that they only found like 6-7. They didn't specify if any survivors were holding keys, but I'd assume whoever had the build at least kept one key.
-
@Itz_Stabby_Goku said:
My guess is that they'll probably have Leon and Claire as survivors (with Jill and Chris as likely legendaries) and Mr. X as the killer (with Nemesis as a legendary maybe). There probably won't be a map, but if there is, Racoon city probably.
I know you're probably right about the map, but I'm going to assume since it's been a year, it's the anniversary, AND it's a massive license, they're not going to mess this up and they're going to give us a map.
-
I think he still needs an add-on pass because he doesn't have the correct number of each rarity add-on, then again they didn't give Huntress what they consider the "correct number" so maybe not.
-
@Mew said:
do you have the clip of this happening? curious to see if you do
I did not get a clip because I hadn't realized till I hit them again that they were fully healed and I tried to take a video to see if I was still within the time limit on my platform and I was not. She ran me around for a little during endgame, I don't know what the two that weren't following me around or being chased were doing. No doors got opened for a while. She did not try to heal herself or get healed during the entire chase after I got blinded and even when I got blinded she wasn't being healed.
-
@DawnMad said:
You sure it wasn't Adrenaline?
Yes because the generators were done before they tapped for the insta heal.
I even checked after the game to see what everyone was running and there was no reason they should have been healed after I got blinded and they hopped off my shoulder.

Making a killer bad on purpose? Twice in a row?
I'm not sure if Twins was on purpose and Trickster I think I'm just trying to find a way to justify why he's still so weak after the buff. Then they announced Resident Evil.
-
Just looking at the build, it's a solid build. What got me is you said you're a gen jockey and you're running a healer/hook saver perk in Borrowed Time. If my whole thing is gen jockey, I'd mostly run generator perks with an exhaustion perk for chases. Currently, my favorite perk in the game is Fast Track. I feel like it's underrated for gen jockey builds.
-
They buffed Twins right after releasing and for a few patches they did mini buffs to Twins, so I don't think testing is why they were so fast to buffing Trickster. Also, I feel like if they were to do this sort of test it would be a few chapters before instead of the chapter right before. Just in case the concept doesn't work as well as expected and they need to start from scratch.
Edit: I wouldn't be surprised if they purposely made Trickster underwhelming to make the hype for Resident Evil even larger, then later he'll get a good rework to make him more viable.
