This was literally the same thing this guy said https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Cyv_9ber38

I mean you have a good point the thing is for me with Nemesis. Its just I can't imagine him using rocket launcher as his power. I actually had an image in my head where Nemi shoots a missile at a survivor and its a direct hit, and they are put into the dying state. Just #########, I mean come on, how the ######### do you survive a DIRECT hit from god damn rocket launcher, just how. Mr.X I wouldn't mind but coming up with a power that unique and not a rehash power would be rather difficult.

Same way you survive a chainsaw clean through your body multiple times only to be perfectly unscathed a minute later after a back rub. Damage in DBD is far from realistic, and seeing as how Nemesis's rocket launcher also just knocks people down in RE: Resistance, I can see it not feeling completely wrong as just an instadown with maybe the ability to destroy nearby breakable walls, pallets, and maybe even damage gens. Like seriously how is someone like Dwight still effortlessly hopping over windows and pallets after being demon smashed over the head, impaled on a rusty hook, and having lost massive amounts of blood. It's honestly hilarious how much people ignore how superhuman the survivors actually are, oh and don't even get me started on their nigh infinite sprinting stamina.

I know this is unrelated to the thread, but I wanted to make a point as I've seen this brought up a lot.

Oh I already removed it :D I don't need to use it every game, obviously, but some games where the killer is extra toxic, which im sure you're aware of what that's like.. You might be one of them, it's needed.

That's like saying I to need bring Franklin's every game because somebody might be trying a key escape. The DS change was more than necessary, it was way too much free time given to survivors by the killers fear of having their pressure absolutely dismantled, as in killers basically had to play the entire game around a single perk, which is absolutely ridiculous.

I know you're probably right about the map, but I'm going to assume since it's been a year, it's the anniversary, AND it's a massive license, they're not going to mess this up and they're going to give us a map.

Trust me, I want an actual map as much as you do, I was just giving what I think is the most likely circumstance, and I do agree that this chapter has more of a chance of getting a map than previous recent chapters.

  • My guess is that they'll probably have Leon and Claire as survivors (with Jill and Chris as likely legendaries) and Mr. X as the killer (with Nemesis as a legendary maybe). There probably won't be a map, but if there is, Racoon city probably.

  • Legion, heavily underestimated potential, great slowdown abilities and literally cuts the amount of actual good chase plays you need to make in half. It's just the fact that you are overly punished for messing up that makes them seem worse than they really are.

  • Thank goodness this was finally acknowledged :D.

Nope, stab wounds study is a very big problem with your suggestion for franklin's mixtape. You just need to stab a survivor 2 times whilst in deep wounds with frank's mixtape in frenzy, stab wounds study will make you go down since it takes 12 seconds to mend yourself and you have 10 seconds left on the timer left (30 secs - 2 * 10 seconds of frank's mixtape), EXCEPT if you get mended by other people, though you can easily lose 2 seconds by standing still for a few moments.

If you use the buffed Frank's Mix Tape, the survivor would always go down, even if you left them. That's a huge step in the wrong direction. There would be no counterplay.

Well how about this then, it doesn't deplete when another survivor mends you.

You're 100% right about the duration decrease, it's just there because the devs would probably try to compensate even if it's unnecessary (Most can agree the 2.7.0 change was vastly overcompensated with the various nerfs)

You're wrong about stab wounds study though, you can stop the timer by literally just running if you hear the heartbeat, and the amount of bleed out lost by it is only significant if Legion Feral stabs you multiple times to reset mend progress(which can guarantee you distance and wasted time for the killer) since the absolute max amount of time you can lose while mending is 12 seconds, although it would likely be even less if found by the killer before the survivor finishes mending. If the survivor decided to ignore deep wound to finish a gen however, then they might be in trouble IF Legion decides to frenzy them again. With Frank's Mixtape, it certainly becomes stronger, but I wouldn't say it's heavily abusive, with downs only really taking less hits but not exactly less time since the survivor would likely need their mend progress to be reset at least once for stab wounds study to remove enough bleed out to make a difference(and they would have to be let go to mend again in most situations), but the combo does allow Legion to greatly punish people that start mending the moment he looks away and people that do gens while deep wounded to an even greater extent. In the end, I wouldn't consider it abusive because the decisions of the survivors ultimately determine how much of an impact the add on(s) actually has.

Sorry if it's a cluster****, this sort of thing is hard to word well lol.

I like most of what's mentioned here, and agree with the vast majority of it. I do have some issues, however.

    • Feral Frenzy duration reduction: I don't believe the speed increase is significant enough to warrant a reduced duration, even if minor.
    • Stab Wounds Study: This would be incredibly abusive, and would bring back the initial issues with the release of Legion.

  • Frank's Mixtape Rework Idea extra simplified.png

    Even more simplified idea.

  • Dwight would probably be the protagonist as he's the one that probably had to change and grow the most to survive in the Entity's realm, and his perks make him out as a cooperative leader type who ties the group together. So he really kinda works as the unlikely hero type.

  • Killer: Susie - I know what it's like to be the younger outcast in groups of friends, she's shy and adorable and probably the only killer I could see myself actually getting along with and not dying to.

Survivor: Yui - Yui is just amazing, a Japanese bike racer girl with a tough but encouraging attitude, sign me up for that. Also she's just one of my fav survivors appearance wise. I'd have to probably learn some Japanese tho :P

You wanna know something I see happening?

They reduce the DW timer to 15 secs and nerf Frank's to be 5 secs per stab.... but then forget to nerf Stab Wounds that removes 5 secs of the DW timer. Old Legion will return with a vengeance.

A semi guaranteed down in around 30 seconds with double very rares really isn't so bad when things like iri head/infantry belt Huntress and Tombstone piece Myers exist.

  • Frank's Mixtape Rework Idea simplified.png

Simplified version, tried to trim out anything that seemed unnecessary to make it seem less like a total rework, and remember, it's just an idea. The ideas are what is important.

  • @GrimReaperJr1232 said:

THAT is.... way too much for an add-on. That's basically a complete rework.

You Might be right, but addons having a lot of effects isn't exactly new, like Doctor's addons for example. It also may look like a lot, but most of the effects are just small number changes there to just shape and balance it as well as possible. And while it COULD work as a base kit rework, I'm not sure everyone would be too happy to see 4.4m/s in the character info section for Legion. If it's too much, the little effects could be trimmed down, the question is which ones?
