  • Purposely acting like a baby so I can use an endgame build. I find it funny when survivors try to Dead Hard out of the gate and then getting blocked by Blood Warden.

  • Is your crossplay on? I'm getting them instantly with it on.

  • Lethal Pursuer helps being able to find survivors quickly at the beginning of the match which can mean a lot

Whispers helps you know when survivors are at least around at any given point during the game

I couldn't say I'd choose one over the other.

  • You said hit validation isn't working (or at least it doesn't seem to be different then before) yet you listed an example of hit validation working (showing that you hit a survivor and then it cancelling) as a bug. That is hit validation working as it's intended. It really SHOULDN'T work like that, but at the same time if it didn't, survivors would always be accused of having no hitbox or something like that.

Also, the set bug was patched because that goes against legal agreements they have with license holders to have those glitches be happening. If it was agreed that Cybil Bennett was going to be in the game as a set for Cheryl. License holders don't want to see Lisa's head on Cybil's torso with Cheryl's pants. It sucks because by fixing the bug for licenses, it fixed the bug for originals. It wasn't about "Does this give an advantage or disadvantage."

Also to add to your list:

There's still invisible walls on Temple of Purgation even though those got fixed.

Clown's bottles are still broken and he's going to be the spotlight of the next tome seeing the devs promo for Tome 8

My cursor disappears after every match as of the last update

Nurse is a massive buggy mess

Plague is a massive buggy mess

The developers will start to listen more closely the moment that they have serious competition that will put their game in the ground.

  • Coolest: Resident Evil (Meg got yeeted, Jill tried shooting at Nemesis, Nemesis broke through several walls, ZOMBIES)

Scariest: Spark of Madness (I don't actually find any trailer scary, but this one is the only one to even creep me out a little)

Worst: Darkness Among Us (I don't understand this trailer, before getting dbd I watched all the trailers up to that point and I seriously thought this killer was going to blend in with the survivors, but when I read their power it had nothing to do with camouflage or blending in.)

  • @ringwinning said:

I'm confused. As a survivor main I love and appreciate when killers do this and I don't consider it "holding the game hostage." Two people DC'd so the killer started playing nice, is what I'm reading from the situation as presented. Do other survivors just not like this or what? That's weird.

They explained more in the comments, the killer wouldn't let them finish gens and if they somehow got downed, they would force the survivors into wiggling out so they couldn't bleed out. The killer wasn't farming, but they weren't necessarily just applying a lot of pressure. They were trying to make the game last as long as possible or until the survivors disconnected. That's what I got from reading everything.

  • I like having things to do in the game so yeah I like when new tomes release. Would I use the word "excited"? Probably not, but I still like when the game gives me something to do.

  • The first thing that caught my attention is you put Pyramid Head under "Ranged Killers" and Deathslinger under "Anti-Loop Killers", like I get it but if we have to be categorizing them under one, Anti-Loop fits Pyramid Head better and Ranged fits Deathslinger better.

Oh right but what you actually asked, I personally really like stealth killers when just looking for a fun match and not "Bloodpoints bloodpoints bloodpoints". So I really have to say I want another stealth killer.

  • I'd rather killers just be balanced instead of deleted. Along the lines of what @Hex_Ignored said, every killer is someone's favorite. I see 4 of my favorite killers in the game on this list, 3 of which have votes to be "deleted" from the game. I also see some of my friends favorite killers on this list, also have votes to be deleted. I would be so mad and I know my friends would be mad if our favorite killer got deleted from the game just because some people want them deleted.

Now I know this is just a poll and it's meant to be more fun, but that's just my take on it.

This makes sense although wasn’t Mr Puddles a rift cosmetic at first?

The rift is kind of more of an "early access" to cosmetics and some cosmetics stay exclusive to the rift. Mr Puddles is a great example of a cosmetic that was "early access" in the rift. Same generally goes for all of the cosmetics that are considered "featured" in the tome. All of them generally hit the store about a year after the end of the rift. So in about a year and 3 months, this cosmetic should be in the shop.

  • I'm not sure I want to know.

  • You can tell that screenshot is at least 8 months old because Balanced Tier 3 is green and they changed the perk tiers to be yellow for all Tier 1, green for all Tier 2, and purple for all Tier 3 back in October last year.

Edit: My favorite part is when they say on Dead Dawg Nurse has to depend on her slow speed because there aren't a lot of walls to teleport through because obviously that's the only time you can use her ability, when there's a wall.

Edit: CROTUS IS A FOREST MAP? NO.

  • Seeing how they used it as a promo for the new rift, it's going to be a rift skin most likely.

  • I only got about 50 on my main killer and then focused on leveling up killers and survivors for the rest of the event.

  • They've been skipping over cosmetics that weren't part of a full outfit. All stand alone parts have been getting skipped over (Feng's skirt from Tome 1, Hag's hair from Tome 2, David's 2 stand alone cosmetics in Tome 1). Personally, I think they should still bring these pieces into the store under their correct category. After all, winter sweaters and even some killer weapons aren't considered "full outfits" yet they're still in the store as stand alone cosmetics.

  • I like this idea. I play both sides pretty much evenly (I take data and literally it's a 49.98/50.02 split) and I think this is a good change. Just let the survivor have their 3 unhook attempts. Unless they have deliverance, chances are they'll be staying on the hook. Might as well let them try just in case they would have escaped the hook.

  • I was going through a hard time and wanted a new game to get my mind off of what was going on in my life and my friend recommended this game. At the time, I didn't have a platform that could play the game (and my laptop wasn't big enough), so I mainly just watched youtube videos on dbd then it released on switch 3 months later. I was a huge SAW fan so the first dlc I ever bought was SAW and was a Pig main for the longest time to the point where 6 months later when the pandemic hit, I only had about 10 teachables unlocked (mostly from the shrine) yet had about 600 hours or somethin like that.

Most play time came from breaks and being a switch player, I could literally do like 4 homework assignments before finding a lobby so I was able to play a lot and I still have a lot of fun with it.

Didnt People think its Candyman a Year Ago ?

Back then they were just pranking us. But ey, maybe it really is him. At One point they said wich Killers are going to be Licensed next and wich Ones will be Original. But i cant quite Remember.

People have been saying "Oh this chapter was a filler, Candyman was supposed to be the chapter" for like every chapter starting with Silent Hill with the exception of Resident Evil. Like people are straight up CONVINCED Candyman is coming to dbd.

  • I thought you were about to start ranting about people on the forums doing something when I read the title, this is 10x better than a rant and I NEED to do this build now lmao.

Of course she isn´t as strong as some people claim. Most of the time, when survivors lose against her, is because someone gives up right at the start, by running towards her.

But the loud majority claims that shes OP, because they got a 4k with 32k points while being perk and addonless playing against 4 man SWF red rank deathsquads, when they played her for the first time. (no, thats not an exageration. People actually claim that)

Which is weird that people say that because it's so easy to tell they're lying. You did not go up against a 4person swf red rank deathsquad and get a 4k with 32k points while perk and addonless (probably also claims they got 4 iri emblems). I remember learning Spirit for the first time, it was NOT that easy.

  • Trickster and Pyramid Head, I love watching gameplay on them and they're generally fun. However, I suck at both them and it's not fun.

the only way I can see it being done is if pennywise shows up unannounced and being the first killer to break into his realm.

other than that a being made of a deadlight should be able to simply refuse the entity with no trouble

It probably would, which is why Pennywise would WANT to be there in order for it to be there. Pennywise would also probably have a power that involves killing on its own or add-ons, like Pyramid Head and Michael. (Both also seen as strong and even able to disobey the entity, which is why they're able to kill so easily without a mori or certain perks).

  • Personally for me, I play both sides, and what I do is a dump all points into a singular killer and singular survivor until they're prestige 3 level 50, then I switch to a new one.

What does All-Kill have to do with it, though?

For what it's worth, I think the devs have stated that by the time one chapter releases, they've already been working on the next one for some time.

I just mean (in reference to this conspiracy theory people have), if Twins was released early to fill the void Candyman left, it was going to be the next chapter. So then A Binding of Kin would have been the spring chapter and then when was All-Kill, which is the spring chapter, supposed to release? It's just a hole in peoples theory that I'm not sure they thought out when creating the theory of "Oh Twins was supposed to be later but pushed out early because of Candyman issues."

  • @Orion said:

It's more that when they heard the Candyman film was being postponed, they rushed the Twins' release, which is why they were so buggy. That's essentially a conspiracy theory at this point, but it's what people think.

Literally my only question to that then (and obviously not pointed at you because it sounds like you don't believe it) is when do they think All-Kill was going to be released? Do people think it was created and "ready" for ptb in 2 months?

  • All Dead Hard is, is frustrating. It's not active long enough imo to be cried about. If it was another version of Sprint Burst (like most exhaustion perks) and negated damage, then yeah maybe that's unfair, but that's not what Dead Hard is. It's really only a push forward with the added bonus of no damage. You really don't get that much further with it, it's enough that it can make a different but also not that far at the same time.

  • Seeing how far in advance they plan chapters, I don't think that Candyman was ever planned for last year. That would mean that they were creating 2 chapters for the same time just in case Candyman had to be pushed back and that's literally a waste of time and resources. I get people want to believe that seeing how all 3 original chapters came across when they released last year, but let's face it the original killers were bad in their ptbs because they were just bad (Blight now in the top 5 of killers at the very least). I personally don't think it's as easy as people make it out to be for license holders to just have chapters pushed back to when they want them, they made a legal contract after all for the license to be in the game and I'm sure a release schedule would have been talked about.

That being said, I wouldn't be mad if we got a Candyman chapter, it's just not my top pick.

  • That's not trippy at all. Also, is it just me or when you're in that pose specifically does it make it feel like Legion's running A LOT slower?

  • The last time a full story within the archives actually hinted at an upcoming character, that said character (Blight) wasn't in the game until a full year later. Also it's just a theory, so his guess is just as good as mine. Only difference is he's a content creator looking in the actual game (for this theory). I do like his theory though, so if I'm wrong and it's original then I'm all for a dracula/vampire chapter.

Patterns were made to be broken! Or maybe the pattern resets this year to mimic the 5 year pattern of before. Who knows? But I certainly wouldn't read too much into the precedent.

This IS only assuming that we're getting another license this year. If they were to mimic the pattern of last year then it wouldn't matter. Also, like @PlaysByShady said, it does also presume licenses are available and have been obtained. So there's definitely holes in my analysis and prediction. So yeah, you're right, we could end up with no more licenses this year, which honestly I wouldn't mind either. I like seeing the concepts BHVR comes up with themselves.

  • Then put on double corrupt purge duration add-ons so when they start cleansing like crazy they can suffer to consequences.

  • I've been having this problem a lot with friends lately.

  • I totally would be down to sell things back to the bloodweb that I'd never use.

    On my Doc I have

132 brown offerings I'll never use: 396k wasted

42 yellow offerings I'll never use: 168k wasted

14 green offerings I'll never use: 70k wasted

3 purple offerings I'll never use: 18k wasted

    294 brown add-ons I'll never use: 882k wasted

    120 yellow add-ons I'll never use: 480k wasted

    49 green add-ons I'll never use: 245k wasted

31 event add-ons I'll never use (even if the event was still going): 93k wasted

That's 2,352,000 wasted bloodpoints. I don't even care if we can sell them back for only half price. That's still over a million bp I'd be getting back in exchange for getting rid of these items I'll never be using.

I get 200k a round.... so you're not doing it right. This is a forum not a help support ticket.

I was just venting. I know where I am

  • I remember seeing that comment and being like "They won't do it" and omg you actually did. Props for keeping the promise you made.

  • Hopefully it's swamp.

  • I've literally heard people tell me they dc'd because I chased and downed them. Apparently, as killer, you're not supposed to do that.

  • You already get a Sprint Burst after getting hit with no punishment. Sprint Burst is fine as is.

  • I think a month and a half long event is too long.

  • It only shows who the killer is the first 2-3 times you face them.

  • Honestly, people have been saying Candyman is the next chapter for the last 5 chapters. Also, all he said is "Just Wait." That doesn't necessarily mean he's hinting at dbd specifically. I'm not saying that it can't be Candyman for the next chapter, just that it's not extremely likely.

  • I really want to see this one, Blight, and Twins changed. Focusing on this one because that's what this post is about, it's really stupid I have to play 4 games when I'm getting double this amount, even triple this amount, minimum in a single game. Why is it that I have to play 4 games to get 30k when in 4 games I can get between 240k and 400k? It's a waste of time.

  • Yeah honestly. I'm getting 60-100k minimum every match, so by the time I'm getting this ritual I've already gotten that amount like 20 times over or more. It's the only ritual that really feels like a waste of time.

The only reason 100k I'm considering minimum is all the cakes + bbq.

  • how many times have you played on it?

  • Those perks aren't even comparable. An info perk vs a chasing perk? That's not comparable.

  • I have a favorite license and favorite original

My favorite license is Resident Evil, it was SAW for the longest time and it's still one of the best in my heart, however I love playing Nemesis and a good portion of the perks released are some of my favorite releases in a while: Eruption, Lethal Pursuer, Blast Mine, Flashbang, and Rookie Spirit.

My favorite original has to go to Cursed Legacy with Oni and Yui. It was the first chapter to release after I started playing and it was one killer of a chapter. Oni is fun and Yui has some interesting perks.

  • I honestly think people who use hexes know the gamble they're getting themselves into which is why I think they're fine. Yeah, it sucks a lot when they break in the first 20 seconds of a match, but it happens. It's not every game.

  • Flashbangs are more fun, but flashlights are easier to use. I'm not entirely sure which I'd prefer. Probably flashbangs just for the fun aspect.

  • This data doesn't even take into consideration licenses (outside of most used perks). It says "kills by original killers" and "escapes by original survivors". Which means, there are more kills and more escapes not recorded by this data.
