I don't like playing Spirit as I never really got a hang of using her powers. I'm sure if I actually worked at it a little bit, I'd be able to start 4King everybody like everyone else seems to be able to do with her but I just don't really care for her or her powers.
its the same with nurse but im somewhat good with her, i just dont care for there powers and think there boring

And there's a ######### Bloodhunt coming soon! I feel like I'm forcing myself to play DBD for the grind rather than actually playing it at this point... I wish this massive boost of BP wasn't just a once in a year thing and it's how it is usually because right now, I feel like I'm not playing for fun...

Just interested in everyone's thoughts since quite people like him for reasons and some don't because of other reasons.
I have seen quite a bit of youtube videos of wanting or considering him as a license as a future chapter involving his video game counterpart rather than other media versions.
I personally would love to see him ingame since I always like the few horror stories about him in middle school but Mostly the video games are what got me interested in the character. Slender the 8 Pages and Slender the Arrival were the main games I loved playing because was so unnerving and terrifying not knowing how the game will end.
The movie was a bust but I did like the Marble Hornets series and their movie with him which ironically did not call him Slenderman but some other name which I keep forgetting but they did a pretty good job using him. The funny thing is he turned 12 years old this June so kinda old but not kinda new........man time flies lol.
He would be a scary edition to the game not gonna lie if he had powers from his video games like teleportation, sanity breaks, technology malfunctions, tentacles, and insane stealth for a tall character. Also, his design is sorta simple yet ominous. His lore could be tied to the Entity somehow since no real lore about him and he does give off a "Helper of the Entity vibe".
I would pay anything that's Slenderman DLC anyway since a big part of my middle school time so gives me big nostalgia of the good times playing Slender and cosmetics/sets would probably have a creepy vibe to it like Crypt TV skins.
also love this fan-made chase music I found about him and his killer name does fit him pretty well
Those are my opinion/thoughts so what are yours?
yes

I think Vigil would be better if it affected the Broken and Exposed status effects (this won't and should not affect Myers and GF because their Exposed status effects don't have their timer shown to the survivors). Also I'd increase it to 25%, since 20% takes 8 seconds out of the 40 second Exhausted timer, I think -10 seconds would be a nice buff.
It's definitely a unique perk but I think it deserves buffs, considering it was technically nerfed when the Mangled status effect on add-ons became permanent until fully healed.
i agree it needs a buff but its still a nice out there choise for swf

Pharmacy really is a great alternative to self-care.
Wake-Up is pretty powerful and can often mean the difference between getting out alive or not but it's a perk that will only see use at the very end of the game.
For awhile I ran a late-game build with Spine Chill, Wake Up, Hope. No Killer was beating me in the 1v1 with powered gates. lol
i love to see the love
-
@glitchboi said:
I think Pharmacy is an incredibly underrated perk. I would only change it to allow rummaging an open chest for a green med-kit without Appraisal. Vigil isn't a very good perk though, and while Wake Up! is very situational, it can be very powerful during the endgame.
I liked Quentin in the movie but I despised his appearance in DBD. Now that they fixed him, I can respect him even more.
why is vigil poo poo doe i dont get it

Sorry I meant: most recent hooked survivor, I am just quoting the video u sent me which was a good example because otz hooked another survivor in the meantime and then he got DS'ed by the meg.
What I mean is if you for instance hook a cheryl, and the cheryl gets unhooked and then you hook a dwight in 20 seconds, the DS that cheryl had would be deactivated because it shows that the killer didnt tunnel because the killer already hooked someone else in the meantime.
yeah i think thats fair cuz if you want ds to work more then 1 time u would need a bid nerf like this

I see your point and agree, but remember that that video adressed the old DS, which was way worse. Also, what if DS is only active if you are the recent unhooked person? Maybe that would be more fair.
that how the perk works what do u mean if you are the recent unhooked person

I don't care if you didn't talk about looping. I am saying that the reason survivors complain about tunneling, is the same reason killers complain about looping.
Why is that so hard for you?
Did I hit the bullseye?
i have never heard/complained about looping ever it is a part of the game

This is the truth, even for killers that benefit from coup de grace a lot more than all the others like huntress, deathslinger, demo, Pyramid, blight, trickster, nemesis, and maybe leatherface and billy and twins.
Unless you have corrupt or you want to defend totems, if all 4 survivors wait at the beginning the match doesn't start until someone if found, that's it, and you can guess where they'll go, also you already know which gens you wanna defend first no matter what
If your fear is that they're gonna wait for you to pass a gen and then start working on it, 4 stacks of coup de grace before the 5th gen is completed are so much better still, mathematically, because you can win so many loops where pallets have been thrown so easily, and they'll be forced to pre drop pallets, so you'll zone them out quicker or down before.
this like aguing milk is a nut it makes no sence and how the ######### can you run coup de grace unironicly

Just because it's annoying doesnt mean it stops you from playing the game, which is exactly what tunneling does since you die really quick with no BP and depip.
so does gen rushing which i gave as context to excuce tunneling

Also DS only takes effect if you're actually tunnelling now, if you don't like dealing with it, you might want to consider not tunnelling.
how many ######### times have i heard this argument ds slows the pace of the game down way to much and can win a game sometimes

I'm sorry, but did you just complain about Urban Evasion and Iron Will? UE is useless against killers other than Hag, Huntress, Trickster, and Deathslinger.
IW I can kind of understand but it is by no means an unfair perk, there are still plenty of ways to track an injured survivor outside of grunts of pain.
when i complain a UE i mean the people who sit a the back of the map only coming out to do a gen also for IW i use hearing a lot in gameplay personally and playind spirit when they have IW is impossable

What? Slugging and tunneling are two completely different things. Tunneling is focusing on one survivor and excluding anyone else, even easier targets. Slugging is leaving a survivor on the ground.
i know right its a crazy idea only discouvord by 95 percent survivors after the games dead
-
@Kaitsja said:
All this nonsense about survivors just wanting an escape handed to them is ridiculous.
I'm a Rank 5 Killer main, and rank 7 as Survivor. I play Survivor casually with my friends to have fun. I'm largely unconcerned with winning, and more concerned with having fun. For me, having fun means being able to do my objective to a degree and testing my skill against the killer.
Tunneling may very well be a strategy, but it's a strategy that involves zero skill on the killer's part. It's not fun for the survivor being tunneled, and the other three survivors are free to focus on gens without worry.
look lad i would explain but were to far down the rabbit hole i suggest u get out

@syain said:

Yes, we agree on that. People who get upset over strategies such as tunneling should really refrain from playing survivor or even DBD in general. Not because it's unfair or scummy, but because it can be frustrating and some don't know how to deal with it. You see, I'm explaining why there are people who complain about tunneling, which is the question OP made. I don't really agree with the sentiment that killers should follow the survivor rulebook or whatever, I'm just trying to explain people's logic behind getting mad and why I think these reactions are justified.

Listen bud, theres a difference in playing the game, and then just trying to ruin the experience for everyone.
Lets look at Among Us for example, that game is usually fun, but what if the Crewmates decided to run in pairs 24/7, specially against a sole Impostor, that Impostor has no chance at winning, at all, and will lose without being able to do anything.
Every game can be ruined by this kind of stuff, DBD is no exception
yeh but i dont ######### about it in after game chat

-
@syain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2366098#Comment_2366098
Be like that. A survivor getting tunneled for any reason can indeed perform actions such as press wasd to move as a slug or m1 to wave their arms on hook. That's gameplay alright, and gee what a blast it is.
There's situations in which both sides are rendered basically powerless. We all play this game to have fun and that's such a subjective concept that it's not even worth discussing - but it's a given that having your gameplay limited (notice how I'm not saying stopped or ruined) by something you have little to no control over never feels good. Though I think people who get offended over teabagging and flashlight clicking need to grow thicker skin I do recognize there are things killers have to deal with that are genuinely aggravating such as keys, brand new parts and map/hatch offerings, in which case I think tunneling someone is completely justified. Complaints are just a natural part of playing the game how you wanna play and I can't help but think it's silly to care about it.
nah fam ######### people who click

Keep talking in your delusions.
Cause being forced to sit on hook and die without being able to do anything hardly counts has playing the game.
Also tunnel and camping often go hand in hand, so "Chases" barely last cause you dont get anywhere safe before the killer downs you again.
no in ur world u only have two options do gen or be tunnled

ok one last time a example like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEPArrf1Bgo i get y u would be mad rightly so but slugging off hok forces there teamates to come off hook waste time on gens and maybe hooks

@Power_Guy said:
Tunneling is just the Killer doing his job efficiently; he's going after the wounded link who will go down quicker & needs less hooks to die.
It's no different from Survivors going out of their way to find that gen they 80% & had to run away from instead of starting a 0% gen.
And any Survivor who tells you different is trying to convince you that it's okay for THEM to play efficiently but not Killers because 'boo-hoo, hurt feelings' at being removed from the match.
@Zokenay said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2366096#Comment_2366096
Well lets stop playing this stupid game then.
Cause theres a lot more to "working on gens" than you think.
Examples:
Keeping track and planning ahead of the gens locations so you don screw yourself with a 3 gen situation
Hard pushing a gen due to that very reason, ive seen killers trying pretty hard to force a 3 gen early in game by protecting specific gens, ive seen horrible 3 gens and i usually due my best to get at least one of them gone so it doesnt become a problem later on, even if it means getting hooked in the process.
Being aware of possible dangers, if you just sit working on the gen and thats it then you are a terrible player, cause you arent looking around, and the killer will definitely take advantage of that.
Only time none of this really apply is when the killer is camping or tunneling, why? cause you arent in any danger at all cause the killer is focusing the hell out of one person and leaving you with nothing to do but gens, like ive been next to a killer while working on a gen that completely ignore me to chase that one person.
Both sides have their things to work on.
there you go the guy made a perfectpoint

Are you for real?
First, getting yourself off hook is extremely rare without perks/offerings, and largely a terrible idea to even attempt it without said things.
Second, working on gens in more than just doing skill checks, there also looking around for the killer, creating some form of paranoia which is fitting for a horror game, this is even more true against stealth killers, cause you dont know when they will end up jumping on you.
And third, you can do more than just sitting on gens, such has going to help your teammates, ive personally have run healing builts lately due to challenges and it was kinda fun running around the map like im some kind of medic for my team.
So yeah tunneling and camping dont allow any of those things, like honestly try to unhook yourself in front of the freaking killer, see how that goes.
the "fun" ur talking about is moving the mouse and hitting mouse click maybe a teamate comes by so you walk up to them and move ur mouse and click the mouse go back on the gen repeat
