Have you played him after his most recent buffs?
couple of times yeah, he feels considerably better than before.
-
To play as, he's def better than before the changes were made (cause in the middle he was actually worse).
But yeah, hes as much of a pain as before as Survivor, hes a tricky killer to fix in that regard.

You forgot Retribution and Haunted Grounds.
Too many totems now lol, cant remember every single perk in the game.
Anyway about those.
Huntress Lullaby largely only affects new players or work on really, REALLY niche builds (That often get patched)
Retribution can work, but its a weak aura perk compared to many others.
Haunted Grounds is too much RNG if you even get value out of it, specially cause most players will hide the moment it pops.
-
Ok lets see:
Ruin: borderline useless.
Devour: Can be good, but also can be cleansed before it even does anything.
Noed: This thing almost never lasts once people know its in play.
Pentimento/Plaything: Good players will either not cleanse Plaything, or immediately deal with Pentimento cause they know where it is.
Crowd Control: Lol
Two Can Play: Mostly a meme of a perk.
Blood Favor: Mostly good on certain killers and likely wont last long due to how early its revealed.
Undying: Essentially takes an extra perk slot to make sure another perk lasts more than a min.
Third Seal: I hardly see anyone use this, and it only really affects Solo Q.
Face the Darkness: Extremely niche to builds and killers.
Thrill of the Hunt: Worse Undying and hardly worth using over it.
Anyway, most of them are either niche or a joke, on top of being incredibly risky, aka not worth.
-
Its already possible to completely counter this perk, it doesnt need a nerf.
-
I largely noticed this when playing Legion, i swear my FOV was smaller when in Frenzy.
-
The tombstone addons are dumb as it is, would rather rework those into something else.
-
Making the duration one sec would make the perk literally useless.
Also Killer instinct would in fact be a buff, cause theres zero way to evade that, unlike Aura Read.
The perk its fine, it requires kicking gens to even use, which kills synergy with perks that automatically regress gens, like Surge or Pain Res.
Yeah, it has no CD, but the real "CD" is walking from gen to gen and also kicking them, which takes quite a few secs.
-
Heavily depends on the killer and build.
But one killer in particular that does well here is Knight, cause its really easy to corner survivors with his guards
-

I don't think this perk supposed to be helpful in any play, it's just meme perk. It's doing what it supposed to do, i don't think any change needed.
I would at least make it a 2 sec blind tbf.
-
@Xernoton said:
I don't know about that. Chucky is pretty strong on his own. Have you tried release SM, Wraith or Doctor yet? They are way worse.
Tbf, Wraith has gotten easier since the removal of Lightburn, plus, he has add-ons that are basically perks.
One that straight up tells him which gens are being worked on.

From PTB to live, yes, they wanted him to be weaker because he seemed a bit too powerful. But the original intent of the rework was clearly not to make him weaker. They just went way too hard on his nerfs going to live. The Iri add on and Main Event being 6 knives were the only problems. Every other nerf he got should be reverted because right now he is definitely worse than before the rework.
So bad that half the time its better to M1 than use his power, which yeah, not a good sign.
-
@Hunkulese said:
It's a challenge. A challenge. It's level four and skippable. Just bring a flashlight and try and learn how they work.
I would rather blame BHVR's dumb Challenge design philosophy for survivors, like killers can have some rough ones, but Survivor ones tend to just suck.
Half they time they border on just asking too much, like this one, or throwing the game essentially, like the typical cleanse 10+ totems.
Dont even get me started on the Glyphs, Green ones can burn in a fire.
-
@ProfessorDunwich said:
I suspect he was reworked because Survivors hated playing against him, probably due to spots with low counter play against his knives.
His throw rate has been gutted, he got normal speed and a lack of recoil as a thrown bone, now it can be argued it wasn’t just a nerf.
Given how BHVR left Billy, Freddy, and Xeno in the trash after their problematic features were adjusted, I would not have high hopes for an improvement in his current state for some time.
I mean, Alien is ok, the other 2, yeah.
But idk why BHVR even did these changes, the problems were Add-ons and Main Event frequency, not the throw rate.
-
I dont recall any recent changes to pallet break speed unless i missed them, but quite a while ago they did buff break speed, but like long ago.
You sure you arent using an add-on or perk that boosts break speed?
-
Anyone knows if Outfoxed is bugged as well?
Cause ive been trying to get it with no luck, i even got hit once and still got progress on it regardless, but the second just refuses to work.
-
So based on matches as him and against him, i think Scamper is the one big issue with the killer, more specifically the fact that he can use it repetitively with no drawbacks at all.
I dont think making it slower would fix it without making it useless, but the one thing that comes to mind is that using scamper should drain his power, like using an M1 does.
Another thing i noticed is that he seems immune to stuns in the middle of his charge attack animation, which yeah, needs to be fixed.
The last thing is that pallets hit him from FAR away, i guess he has the same hit detection as other killers, but it makes it really rough to know when youre safe from a stun or not, cause you have to be surprisingly far
-
Forgot to add, but Trickster main problem in the PTB were his addons and Main Event being too frequent, but rather than fixing those specifically, they nerfed his throw rate in general, even though they increased the number of knives needed to injure and made the decay faster.
So instead they made his power pretty much a secondary thing rather than his main means of doing dmg (To the point that half the time its hardly worth using over an M1) and made Main Event practically useless.

QoL changes sure but everything you were complaining needed nerfs.
STBFL is problematic perk on m2 killers ( Nemmy, Demo, Xeno, Wesker )
Mangled is problematic atm, self-heal is already bad and this effect makes it even worse.
BNP already nerfed, it's not problem anymore.
Trickster was busted on PTB, you really did not expect him come to live right?
3 - gen is hard to break , especially against killers like SM, Knight. And some maps even worse with very strong 3 - gen areas.
And i don't know why you are ignoring there will be a lot killer tweaks too. They just nerfed MfT for killers. They are nerfing maps for killers. Med-kits, CoH, DH nerfed for killers. Killers are getting better fov soon.
I don't know why you are acting like only survivors are getting something.
Never said STBFL didnt needed a nerf.
Also, just cause they needed nerfs, doesnt mean these changes dont actively make killers even harder than they're already are, one bad chase and you lose the game, thats why people have often asked for a basekit version of Corrupt Intervention to help in early game, cause again, bad RNG or a poor chase, and you ended up losing 2-3 gens right away.
BNP has no place in the game, like none, gen speed is already dumb, we dont need a item that DOESNT delete the toolbox (which allows Built to Last to refill a likely strong toolbox) that repairs a decent a mount of progress in seconds.
MFT got nerfed yeah (thank god) but ironically made it still strong as ever against Legion and Slinger, both who seriously struggled against this perk already.
Garden Rework was straight up a failure that hardly did anything, in fact the PTB version essentially made it even worse.
Besides Badham and Hawkins are still obnoxious, and god knows when Badham will ever get a rework cause its part of a dead license thats borderline abandoned by BHVR.

Reading your comments makes me think this game is not fun for you anymore. If you are not enjoying you can play different games.
Killer was never been that easy btw.
Theres difference in fun and then being forced to pretty much tryhard every match cause BHVR seems to actively make the game worse for killers lately.
Yeah some were QoL changes survivors needed, but Killers also need those.
-
Lets add another thing to the list:
Autoaim is cringe.
Seriously, this thing screws me over more than it helps, from auto locking towards the hooked survivor rather than the one saving, to snapping to a corner of a window or door frame. or cutting my lunges short.
This thing needs to be fixed since forever.
-
Lets not forget the stupidly designed challenges.
Orange Glyphs, yeah exactly what killers want a heavy nerf...
Green Glyphs, nobody likes looking all over the map for these, and the fact that its often over a dozen is just dumb.
Core Memory, definitely want to be chasing around a freaking crystal after a hook rather than looking for my next target...
Double Blind Save in one match... just why? i know it doesnt actually need to be a save, but still, this is just cruel.
Near Miss, can we just retire this challenge? Old DH is why it even exists, and old DH is dead and gone since long ago, dodging basic attacks is NOT easy in any way.
-
@DyingWish92 said:
Uhhhh Myers needs a rework or buff even worse and he's not even on the road map either. Him and Freddy have been left to rot pretty much.
Freddy def has is the worst, he doesnt even have cosmetics.
At this point, it would be better to retire the license and bring the real Freddy, you cant even use seriousness as an argument anymore with Chucky being in the game.
-
Im close to quitting the game myself...
No tweaks to the broken Buckle Up + Ftp combo.
No Badham or GOOD Garden rework.
BNP is still not deleted from the game.
Trickster rework feels like a nerf
3 gens are getting nerfed, which is another thing to cross off the list of the few things killers still had.
No Hope adjustments.
They're also nerfing Mangled and Sloppy.
DS will likely be broken once again.
Like bruh... i cant.
-
@Hensen2100 said:
And here I am thinking it is useless because good SWFs just 99 a gen and let deadlock block that one all game. Also 2 survivors can finish gens simultaneously and it won't activate. It's good vs. noobs and solo's though for sure
Yeah, it isnt as good as people think.
-
That matches have been nothing short of awful, gens getting completed absurdly fast, one chase and i basically lost 3 gens already...
At this point the game is telling me to go with the most tryhard killer and builds to even compete, its not fun.
-
The slower Throw Rate combined reduced Decay pretty much ruined the rework for me.
The movement speed was good, but his power feels weaker than before, main event is basically useless.
-
@altruistic said:
We haven’t even had MFT nerf and people are already on the next thing. Actually didn’t expect that.
next thing? people have complained about this broken combo since it came out.
-
I know its not a true definition of skill but... nobody is gonna point out how its four P100 survivors against a P11 killer?
-
It deserves it, not even the smallest, tinniest, microscopic, slimmer of doubt.

No. His biggest issue on live, is that Trickster is very often in situations, where Huntress could have removed a health state, but Trickster couldn't remove a health state. That's really not going to change with new Trickster, beyond the fact that Trickster's increased moving speed means he will be able to get more M1 attacks than Huntress.
The movement speed buff is meant to help in that very thing though, allowing him to keep LoS with survivors far more frequently, something he severely struggles at on loops cause of his slow movement speed.
-
He was overtuned af mate, Main Event is essentially an ultimate, him being able to spam it constantly like he did was just a massive NO.
Also, take in mind he kept most of his other buffs, specially the movement speed and removal of recoil, both pretty heavy buffs, which were also his biggest issues on Live.
-
Getting 100% i suppose.
Yeah, it sucked, it was painful, i cried, raged, cried some more, but god dammit i got all the achievements!!!
-
If i had to give a mini review of this game:
Its enjoyable, but its NOT friendly towards new players, due to all the DLCs and all the leveling you gotta to unlock the perks and such, theres also all the stuff you gotta learn, like maps, or mechanics.
Balance is a bit of a mess, but not unplayable (For the most part) and its on a sorta "ok" status currently
The community is pretty active so the game is far from meeting its end, specially due to the content updates that add new content.
Its highly replayable due to the large amount of perks and killers that allow you to have different experiences basically each match.
Would i recommend it? yes, but like i said, not friendly for new players.
-
The main things i remember from playing on console was the constant Frame drops, and how certain killers were essentially unplayable with a controller, Trickster most notably
-
Not even a little bit, this thing needs to die.

The cool down happens when you miss a tail attack AND when you successfully use the tail to destroy a turret. The first one was needed, the second one needs to go right now
Does it really? i mean, before destroying turrets did absolutely nothing to delay Xenocat, unlike now, which considering its meant to be the main way to counter him, i think its fair, after all, it takes time to set the turrets up.

@MaddieMage said:
The block feature only keeps them from being able to communicate with you. I agree that I would love to be able to block certain people from my matches, particularly people who have called me homophobic and misogynistic slurs in endgame chat.
Unfortunately this community is so toxic that if people had the ability to block all the toxic people from their matches the queue times would likely be abysmal, so they won’t do it. Also people would likely block people just because they lost the game to them which would also increase queue times is what I’m thinking.
I remember once i got called racist, sexist and even psychopath cause i "tunneled the black characters" or something like that, like bruh, half the time i dont even pay attention to who the survivors are.
And she was all about how she hates me "tunneling", but she unhooks in front of me, and i went after HER, so her statement of me tunneling that match wasnt even correct and then she calls me racist for going after her, like the level of lunacy you run into in this game is something.

Hopefully they won’t nerf our boy ☹️
He is likely to get a few nerfs here and there, mainly his Fast Vault ability which is just insane on pallets, allowing him to easily secure hits and downs with little to no effort.
-
@Fuzzycube said:
Personally because pre-nerf they were a lot more fun to use while still no where near the best killer in the game or even top 3.
Now I just never see the Xenomorph in games.
He was crazy strong though, destroying turrets practically did nothing to slow him down (unlike now) and even missing hardly punished him, which is a lot considering how hard it is to even dodge the tail.
That just made him crazy oppressive in chase.
-
Is not that great with Wesker tbh, most of the time you want to injure with his power to keep the survivors infected and pushing them into bad positions.

People were complaining mostly about the animation feeling wonky, not the movement speed post tail attack. The hit timing was like half a second before the visual looked like it would hit. I think maybe there were one or two voices thinking it should be faster, but that was the "all Killers should be 4.8 or even 5.0, and every map is Survivor sided" voices, so they never should be listened to anyways.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3583259#Comment_3583259
Other than indoor maps/controller usage/3gen attempts, it helps sooooo much if someone wastes their time to EMP since it only takes 3s to tag and TP back on top of them. It wastes an EMP, wastes travel time crossmapping to EMP the goo, and can even potentially give you a free hit if they put themself out of position. Sing is super fun to play and super easy to steamroll with once you get the lock-on timings down for biopod tags. The worst thing for Sing is barely missing a TP only to place a pod then break the pod the place another pod then break that pod then finally TP to the Survivor.
Meanwhile turrets require the survivors to manually grab them, carry them at snail pace and set them up, and at best might buy a couple of seconds without doing anything, that is if the Xeno didnt hit them while setting them up, which instantly destroys them (which is a free hit as well due to how slow you move and how it takes a bit to set it up or drop it)
EMPs can be grabbed almost immediately half the time and you can hold on to them for as long as you want, which combined with decent looping skills can severely hurt Singularity if you EMPs a tagged survivor and destroy any nearby pods, this also applies to destroying any pods near gens that denies him mobility, something Xeno hardly has to struggle with.
-
@Tsulan said:
Missing with the tiny hitbox on top of the long cd, survivors being able to take your power away and hits going straight through survivors without registering simply feels unrewarding.
Alien was the biggest license for me and it just looks like the xeno is going the same path as Freddy on release.
The turrets arent even close to being as oppressive as you think, if you want oppressive look at poor Meatball with the EMPs, now those are oppressive.
-
@HugTechLover said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3583142#Comment_3583142
Instead why don’t you accept that the hug tech is probably not going anywhere.
How about we fix all of his performance hindering collision issues? Or all of his performance hindering bugs? Would you advocate for that?
Yes, i would, same way goes to removing that "tech" and nerfing his addons.
I play Knight myself and i know how obnoxious it feels to have your power not work like it should, but matter of fact is, Blight's pros are way more overbearing than his cons currently.
-
The movement speed and recoil removal are the things he needs the most by far.
The main issue now is how frequent Main Event is, which is made worse by the increased Throw Rate (this one being unnecessary with the removal of recoil)

Im talking specifically about Pallet Saves with this perk, not so much about Flashlight Saves since I can look away/look at a wall.
Not always a choice sadly, and Flashbangs can counter that as well.
-
I dunno about M3GAN, largely cause she looks like an actual kid, even if shes a robot, and idk how BHVR feels about adding a "child" as a killer.
Yeah Victor exists, but he looks like a deformed gremlin.
Regarding Annabelle, im no expert in the Conjuring franchise (largely cause i have like no interest in it) but doesnt the doll... do nothing? i know its possessed by a demon or something, but if i recall, i think the doll itself just exists and randomly appears on different places and such, so how would she even work?
-
Trust me, you arent alone on this, i think they overdid it with the buffs to the perk.
