Probably by next week with any luck
-
You should see Taking One For The Team.
250 protection hits on a recently unhooked survivors, that one was the last achievement i got due to how long it took, and just being dumb luck, you essentially have to do unsafe unhooks and put the teammate at risk of getting tunneled out to make any progress on it.
Could also mention Myers Stalking achievement, The Man Behind the Bush, it was 300 Tier ups if i recall? i straight up started throwing games where i just fully stalked everyone to get this one going.
Theres also Bless You which requires Blessing 20 hex totems, which is complete luck if the killer brings a Hex which are rare nowdays and that you are the one that finds it.
Or the fan favorite, Outbreak Breakout, 20 escapes from RPD where you HAVE to open an exit gate.

And in the same token you're also not entitled to fully delete an entire killer's build / Perks, so where do we stand?
Obviously the only viable solution is to split the difference and go with my original suggestion, Token based perks and tokens only regen either in chase or out of chase inside the TR.
Survivors get value from their perks, killer gets value out of his perks.
Thats an interesting idea, only generating perks while in chase, which i think fits better tbh, you use the tokens to avoid getting found, and to recover them you eventually have to engage with the killer.
Its also "healthier" since its common for survivors who dont use either to get tunneled out since the once that do use it are rarely ever found by the killer.

I'm not opposed to the idea, but would I be putting myself at risk of being reported for working with the killer? Particularly if the exploiter is part of a duo or trio who then all proceed to report me in endgame so it's my word against theirs?
Well you would likely have vid of it as evidence (As you should when summiting reports) which would make it justifiable since its a cheater.

The map is massively Killer-sided because the loops suck.
If you are getting looped on Midwich tiles, that's not a game issue.
I was talking about Lery's mate.

Whats wrong with Lery's? Midwich is amazing visually, but in terms of design is disgusting, auto Alt+F4 when i see that offering being used by the killer.
Its filled with windows that are often easy to chain together, on top of having pretty strong pallets as well.
Too many windows in general is the main issue.
-
@RaSavage42 said:
But then again don't we need heavy map balancing in the first place???
Yeah, Garden of Cringe, Borgo and Badham are likely the top 3 problematic maps at the moment.
With Lery's and Midwich being close behind.
-
Not a great idea, it would require heavy, and i mean HEAVY balance and map changes to accommodate this feature, and last time that happened it wasnt well received or done properly, look at the breakable walls

"curve thing"? There is no curve thing aspect to Blight that's not working exactly as intended (including 180s). The "gamebreaking bug" he's talking about is hug tech, one of the easiest things Blight does to counter.
Thats what i was referring to, and it is essentially an exploit that needs to be fixed, its even more BS when hes using speed addons that make the thing essentially impossible to dodge if he pulls it off fast.
-
@jesterkind said:
Because they aren't broken...?
I understand the reasoning behind suggesting Skull Merchant being killswitched, even if I don't think that's precedent the devs should set, but I legitimately have no idea why you'd suggest Blight being killswitched. What exploit are you referring to?
Hes referring to the curve thing which makes Blight pretty BS at loops, that needs to be patched alongside his addons.
-
Cause killswitching a killer for something that isnt game breaking would simply be too far.
Boring and unfair? maybe, but not "you cant touch me" levels of BS.
-
@katoptris said:
Can the dredge hop in while the exploit is going on? I'm generally curious if I can automatically grab while I teleport as it...
Since the survivor isnt actually inside the locker, doubt it.

@supersonic853 said:
Shouldnt need this now unless the flashlight can still be found in the match.
Apparently they screw up the Console patch and they can still use flashlights from what i heard.

Just to get killed afterwards as well. Yay.
Worth it if you ruined a cheater's day.
-
So just learned Flashlights were kill switched (thank god) but anyway, if this glitch ever happens again, now you know how to help the killer deal with these losers.
-
The final point is just wrong, dodging the tail by reaction just isnt really possible.
Jund even made a vid about it frame by frame, and the survivor only dodged cause he started moving before the attack even started, there just isnt enough time to react dodge to it.
-
Theres anti camping applied to him already, it takes him considerably longer to come out of a tunnel thats close to a hook.
-
@Annso_x said:
UW reveals your exact position, interrupts any action and is the only tracking perk that isn't countered by lockers.
If anything the last part is likely a bug, which should get fixed.
-
Have hooked well over 10 survivors on basement, nothing.
-
Um... sure why not, Larry gets points for removing his pots after all.
Does Trapper get points for picking traps?
-
Saturation, thats pretty much it.
Even if its good, you will eventually get fed up with it, if you only see that.
-
Ive been using Botany, Desperate and Self Care for when i want consistent reliable self healing, and it works just fine, even against Sloppy.
You could even add other perks to help boost its usage, like Empathy, Well Make it, or Bite the Bullet.
You can heal yourself reliably at a decent speed, and you become a healing machine for your team as well.
Yeah, you gotta dedicate the entire build to it, but good self healing should require that.
-
That one wasnt built in China.
-
@AhoyWolf said:
It already had a requirement, being healthy, why add another? It also has a cooldown.
The Perk is now only usable while not running, being healthy and off-cooldown, I don't get it, was it really that strong when it removed your footstep sounds while walking / crouching to deserve this nerf?
You'll be surprised how important sound is in this game, even the quietest one, having a perk that completely removes all footsteps was dumb, keeping it restrictive is the better approach
-
Can confirm, tried to do it twice and got zero progress both times, both matches had at least 6-7 basement hooks.
-
@Nos37 said:
If that's the case, Legion should be unable to pull me out of lockers during Feral Frenzy since his attacks during Feral Frenzy now count as special attacks. 🤷♂️
They cant? grabbing of lockers isnt the same has opening the locker.
-
Isnt that franchise a complete mess since the creator died?
All i heard about it is negative after the last season they made before dying.

since patch 6.5.0
Merciless Killer
- Moving forward, getting 4 Kills will earn the Killer a Merciless Killer, rather than the previous requirement of a double pip.
You can even 4 man bleedout or have them killed by EGC and as long as none escapes you get it
Pretty sure bleeding out doesnt count as a proper kill, and wont work for Adept or any kill related challenges, achievements or dailies.

It's because there's an achievement involving grabbing a survivor after 3 blinks
A really stupid achievement if you want to do it legit.
Otherwise one of the easier achievements.
Used to be easier before when she could get several blinks easily, but now only method is with an Iri Addon, so your attempts are heavily limited.
-
Like mentioned already, Map of the Realm should be basekit, he gets crippled badly without it, you could do without Call to Arms, but not MotR.
The AI of the guards also needs to be improved, often they end up going in the completely wrong direction.
Other QoL stuff could be better control when making the path, having zero movement to the sides is annoying, and you lose all momentum if you hit anything, and destroying pallets is often clunky has hell, requiring to take several steps backward to make room for the summon, doesnt help that its possible to get stunned while in doing the patrol has the orb for whatever reason.

just don't go down near basement against trapper? it's basically your one lose condition against him

Trapper doesn’t need fixing. It’s important to leave some killers extremely simple for the sake of new players. His simplicity makes him weak as you face tougher survivors. He’s fine the way he is.
Wraith already exists for that, and other killers are way easier than Trapper, like Legion
-
@HugTechLover said:
Complaining about trapper and his nearly only reliable play style? Lmao
Any decent player knows to stay away from basement when playing against trapper. If you end up losing to a basement trapper, it’s due to your own mistakes / your teammates mistakes.
Saying basement trapper needs to be looked at is absolutely BEYOND me.
Or maybe fix the guy so one of the most obnoxious playstyles isnt his only viable one? like Condemn Slug was for Sadako?
-
@saintjimmy456 said:
It is frustrating when you come across it but thankfully, for me anyway, I rarely come across basement Trappers. Most Trappers probably find this tactic boring and unrewarding and it is just the odd player that has to play this way to get kills.
Hopefully the anti-camping feature they are planning on introducing will help in these situations.
It wont... traps make impossible to escape from, since not even Endurance saves you

@mikewelk said:
Yeah, two turrets don't even get him out of Crawler Mode lmao...
They no longer stack for obvious reasons.
The problem is that he doesnt lose much speed after missing an attack, which is the same for destroying turrets, and apparently landing tail attack is bugged and he loses no speed at all.
-
Nah, Doctor is perfect, leave that one alone.
-
All special items.
Sprays, EMPs, Syringes, Tapes (?) and Lament Configuration
And of course, the Turret.
-
That cake is enough reason to buy it.
(Yeah her massive crest makes mindgaming at medium tiles pretty much impossible)
-
Good thing that Wesker is stupidly popular, and with Xenocat trending at the moment, this achievement isnt hard to farm currently.
But yeah, would prefer they avoid these kind of stuff, i suffered enough with the Blessing Hexes achievement.
-
They should have made it an official change, WoO is too good, it makes looping considerably easier since you dont have to bother learning the layout, or plan your route beforehand.
-
Distortion users be malding
-
Its not really possible to have an impostor killer, SWF would make this killer utterly useless by just being SWF.
-
Sad thing is, ultimately to get better has killer you have to become increasingly more ruthless and apathetic towards survivors, they'll have no mercy most of the time, so neither should you.
Playing nice will only end with you getting stepped on.
-
Its better to not bother past what we already have, (specially considering the totally functional auto censor...)
Any attempts at monitoring toxicity in drastic ways often ends badly, either it worsens the situation, or makes the game unfun/worse.
This is specially true for a game aimed for an adult audience.
-
Maybe before, but since they added the Icons, now it would just be overdone.
-
The auto-censor is by far the worst one ive seen in any game, censoring words at random literally, even letters.
It should be optional or not exist at all, this isnt a kids game.
-
If anything its the survivor challenges that have the most problems, half of them is basically "throw the match" like that 20 totem cleanses... or 10 protection hits.
While some outliers most of the killer ones can be obtained by playing normally.
-
The pipes can also affect the survivors so its a double edged sword.
The pallet one requires LOTS of progress on a gen to even get, and if i recall the killer can see the trap, so they can prepare for it.
And they'll likely add a limit on how close turrets can be, also how far they gotta be from obstacles, it was a pain to place them on maps like RPD

What exactly is hard about singularity? Are people failing school, or something? How do you not understand how his power functions? Thats not the reason people don't play him.
Knowing how to place his Biopods properly, having quick reaction and direction to aim them quickly in the middle of chases with a constant camera change, and having some decent aim at least.
It does require quite a bit of micro-management.
