Thats not even the point. Why put up with it in general when there killers out there who don't have too? I would bet you anything this won't fix the wesker problem. He will still be the most seen killer, and xeno will be just another singularity that nobody likes.

The main reason people dont play Larry is cause hes a really hard killer to learn and master, he wont appeal to everyone.

Xenocat's skill floor and celling is closer to Nemesis's if anything.

  • If you have good reflexes you can destroy the turret before it gets you out of your power, besides your power comes back considerably faster when travelling the tunnels.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

so... outside but near the building? that's normal

no, he means inside, right next to the window thats next to a wall

  • Its good for what its meant to do, but thing is, there arent enough instances of screaming (Specially base game) for it to warrant the slot.

Most instances of screaming are tied to addons or perks that arent even that common, and the only killer that consistently makes survivors scream is Doc, (Also Clown but doesnt matter in his case).

Maybe with that upcoming Xenocat perk it will have some popularity boost.

  • Larry is a good killer, but not an easy one, hes one of the hardest killers to learn and master, so yeah, not many people will play him.

MFT and FTP dont work together anymore, its just Buckle Up and FtP

also I think Buckle Up just needs an activation requirement, similar to WGLF but harder to get than WGLF since its a bigger payoff

Yeah its pretty stupid how Buckle Up completely replaced WGLF, theres zero reason to run it now, its effect is weaker and requires a condition to activate, aka, worse in every single aspect.

  • She needs an Ashley skin.

  • Hope should be 5%

Adrenaline shouldnt heal after being unhooked.

  • The only issues i see with Xenocat is how the turrets are really hard to notice and that his Tail attack needs a better visual indicator, cause right now it feels off to use.

so what. if your in a loop across a window or pallet, the slowdown has little meaning towards instant down. part of your comment is "landing bottles at long range with him is far from reliable" is summary of long-range hits being unreliable therefore possible to dodge. the clown only place where instant downs is reliable outside of hooking camping is when your in a deadzone and it cost 2 bottles to do that. with 3 bottle count, he can only do it once and clown still needs good aim. It is on him to mess up but it is not guaranteed hit. He is suppose to be advantage because your in weakest position possible as survivor which is dead-zone with 0 pallets or windows. he is capitalizing on your poor survivor play.

he can just facecamp with a bottle ready, making impossible to save.

why does this matter? bubba has this base-kit and others killers like billy, 99% ev myer's, and demon form oni also have instant downs. are they problem as well?

these add-on are not a problem. losing to them is a survivor skill issue.

All of those are a problem on their own (hence why Facecamping is getting nerfed)

Regardless, insta down addons should be hard or super niche, thats why Huntress got nerfed to hell yet its still BS, Clown is no different, he can easily slow you down, making easy for him to not only catch up, but to land a direct hit a lot easier which also slows you down, at that point, you simply go down.

Knight for example has to essentially deal with constant memorization to remember which guards exposes, (And if you forget then gl) that or sacrifice the second addon slot to make it consistent.

Even Blight is forced to use at least 5 charges to have his own insta down, or how Artist only works if you remove her crows, and she usually makes it obvious, theres also Dredge's one that only works on the last few secs of Nightfall.

As you can see, most of these are niche and situational, unlike the two mentioned earlier that are on hand and easy to use.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/387759/iri-hatched-and-pinky-finger-need-changing

i think iri head kinda needs small buff to 2 hatchets but i think reason why this add-on does not get buffed is because a lot teammates tend to disconnect at the sight of this add-on.

pinky finger is balanced expose add-on. it relies on precision to land bottles and it is avoidable by not being dead-zones and looping well. at the end of the day, clown still needs a m1 on survivors to get capitalization on the effect and m1 instant down is not unfair.

i think attitude behind theses add-on is just playing as if your playing vs Plague where your permanent broken for the entire game. it is possible to escape killers while playing injured the entire game. the killer with instant down do have hook camping capacity but that just global problem with any killer that has base-kit instant downs.

Youre forgetting that Clown can use Bottle addons to bypass the 1 bottle downside, and he severely slows down movement with the gas, making a direct hit considerably easier, and again, he can just facecamp with a bottle ready, making impossible to save.

buffed by the removal of Lightburn

You mean that nerf by creating default trap removing for each survivor?

It's funny way how to call a nerf. Buff is usually something that makes you better... Weird

Until you realize that allowed to remove her traps considerably quicker, specially on basement situations, or even in chase.

Removing by hand takes longer, and unlike Trapper her traps remain active even when being disabled, so if someone runs close the trap youre cleaning, it triggers, just cause this killer is dumb.

  • I would make it so you dont heal off hook.

And that you dont wake up against Freddy, thats about it.

  • @WingerSenpai said:

As a survivor it feels to close already without the offering, especially if the killer decides to hook someone in the middle of the map, removing the hook break would be only executeable if they are more spaced out too.

I understand your problem don't mistake me because I usually see Ormond suffer from this problem if the killer doesn't account to it and the survivors pay enough attention, but just removing it for "no price" wouldn't be justified because it would only benefit killers and hinder survivors.

Hinder how besides "cant hook me cause i ran into a corner"?

  • @Mandy said:

The simple answer is some addons can be reworked quicker than others without factoring programming time, QA time etc. Simple changes can be done by the Design team with little to no resources from other teams. Larger changes made to addons (or anything else), requires substantially more resources which need to be factored in and slot into the production calendar.

Can you at least nerf it so it only resets on Downs? this addon is outright stupid with how OP it is one an already powerful killer.

  • You can use it while speared? thats something, but not very useful, i mean, they still go down.

  • Ghostface also got a tome, but hes a special case.

  • @thisislastyearsmodel said:

Hook grabs have been removed. Unless it's a Bubba who literally just sits in front of the hook there is always the possibility of at least a trade.

Now, I'm not saying this is healthy design by any means, because it's not, but saying it's impossible is a stretch.

Slinger can hook the survivor and wait out the endurance with nothing they can do about it, only a hopeful bodyblock from the rescuer, and this killer ALWAYS has STBFL.

Huntress can injure before you even get close to the hook and potentially down you before you get to unhook, and she can easily down the unhooked survivor with her Hatchets.

Nobody has to explain Bubba's case.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

someone is actually running iron will? weird...

People seriously underestimate this perk, specially when used by the likes of Ace or Ada.

  • @Xendritch said:

As someone who plays a lot of Knight it barely effects me at all.

Like maybe this is a hot take but I think Resilience is much more busted in chase than MfT is. Making vaults you normally wouldn't is much stronger than having to take a few extra seconds to catch up to a survivor.

Its the combination of both that completely breaks it, the problem is that MFT in particulars screws up with killers a lot more.

Resilience still requires good pathing that gets rewarded if you do so, MFT instead compensates mistakes and outright makes good pathing even stronger.

Doctor in particular suffers intensively from this perk, that 3% is often the reason his Shock didnt stop the survivor from vaulting.

Btw has a Knight main, this perk definitely affects him, in normal chases without Guards, like everyone else, and considerably reducing the chances of Guards getting a hit, even Assassin.

I'd replace Doctor with Skull Merchant. At least for Doctor he uses his "knowledge" productively. Dull Merchant kills for her own good and uses her dad's manga characters as a way to excuse her ego and bloodlust. Very selfish and execrable of her. (Yes that is her entire lore summed up in a short sentence, subpar writing I know)

    Yeah shes pretty messed up.

How? You have to be in the killers terror radius for the scream/aura to take effect. Stealth killers by definition do not have a terror radius. The perk does literally nothing to stealth killers.

I was referring to Survivor Stealth, one bad look and you announce your location to the killer.

  • Its the whole point of the perk, it gives you a pretty strong effect at the cost of a downside.

Seriously, this perk will make stealth nearly impossible.

  • They arent hard to find though, they make a really loud noise when nearby, and most of the time they're close to gens.

  • PS4? oh boi, idk if that ever got fixed since i stopped playing like 2 years ago, but PS4 had some serious Desync issues, wouldnt surprise me if thats what happened.

The Desync was so bad that when i started on PC i sucked HARD at skill checks due to the timing being so different.

  • @DemonDaddy said:

Stealth is her counter. A searching nurse of any skill level burns through more time than a good one in chase.

Until you deal with Nurses that bring aura reading, which is like all of them, specially Nowhere to Hide.

  • Not a great idea, its infinite, allowing it to be reliable on its own would be busted, and it was in the past.

Bring Botany and Desperate Measures if you wanna make it viable, which also makes you a really good healer for your team.

Seriously, i use these 3 perks often and unless youre dealing with Sloopy, you can heal yourself fairly fast, which is why buffing it is a bad idea, just imagine how fast you could heal with this build if it was made faster.

Yeah you could say you basically gotta dedicate the entire build to it, but thats the point, unlimited self heals shouldnt be flexible, either you commit or you dont.

  • They did this for Doctor by removing his flashing images, so yeah, go ahead, i dont personally feel nausea from it, but it is annoying as hell.

    At least tone it down.

  • @averagemikaelamain said:

skill issue, dont let survs do all the gens.

    also noed

Made For This isnt Endgame exclusive, also, Noed isnt as reliable anymore after the Aura nerf, which btw, is still weaker than flat 10% speed increase.

  • @JonOzzie16 said:

There's many counters to made for this.

    Exposed perks / add-ons

    Exhausting perks / add-ons

    Hindered perks / add-ons

    Stealth perks / add-ons

    Know when to drop chase.

But stick to your slow down perks and complain when you can't catch survivors. The meta has changed. Time to adapt.

I do think made for this will be eventually nerfed. But you need to actually try to counter builds that you don't like going against.

Also, hope doesn't need to be nerfed. There are no issues with it. People are now only upset because it's being used with Made for this.

So always bring a type of perk to counter this one specifically, thats great design...

Remember how Fearmonger was mandatory cause of DH? we seriously back to that again?

Also when theres 4 MFT per match often, then theres a problem.

Btw, theres ONE perk that applies Hindered, and its to deal with Flashlight/Pallet savers more than anything, and most addons for it are either useless due to how niche they are, or utterly busted that they're a problem on their own (Looking at you Blight...)

  • We're talking about a perk that removes your Scratch Marks just for vaulting, this is an horrible idea.

Any Means is rare, Crowd Control is a Hex, Deja Vu is niche and Trail of Torment has a long CD and easy to remove.

  • Knight is my primary main, followed by Legion and Trickster.

I started playing Spirit lately as well.

  • Dropping a pallet AFTER the hunt starts will block the guard, a fact not many people know.

But it does seem to mess with their AI, which needs to be fixed.

the problem is anything worse then commodious with charge add-on is not that impactful to the user using it. I don't feel like they're going nerf it because it is like the last... overpowered-type item that survivor can bring. i suppose it is question if survivor should have an item that if all 4 of them bring and they are good. they should win. my impression is that if they weaken it, they will likely buff something like Keys. you lose purpose in bloodpoint currency for survivor if none of the items impact the game.

Keys still have use has aura reading items on other survivors or the killer itself.

Survivor addons in general could use some changes.

And maps are hardly ever used outside of totem hunting.

Toolboxes even outside of Commodious are good, but this particular Toolbox and the charge addons are just stupid.

  • They first need to buff some of the hexes, Ruin? anyone remembers it?

  • The perk itself was unfair, like said by biggy, it got the well deserved nerf it needed.

  • Might need a small tone down, but i think the perk is mostly fine

  • @DY86 said:

Bruh what? Singularity is a pretty good killer but with a high skill ceiling. Maybe thats ur struggle

Skill Floor*, but yeah, thy're good if you know how to play them, but they're among the harder killers

  • Thats some low MMR gameplay right there.

  • @ShinobuSK said:

Cant you already do that with Sloppy?

But thats on the killer to bring, this is something directly brought by the survivors instead.

eh, trapper was orginally a survivor and he wasnt a very good person either.

yun-jin let people die to further her career, and Jonah (my bb) is a war criminal tho accidental so maybe hes fine)

    we need more evil survivors

Not really in Yun-Jin's case, it was more about her being in denial that Trickster was a murderer, and he manipulated her multiple times.

Granted, she isnt that great of a person anyway, but still.

  • It isnt any easier on M&k just saying, it takes WAY longer on Console, but landing those shots is just as hard as ever.

  • The only issue with it is For the People tbh.

    The perk itself is fine.

  • Funny how the game went from essentially ignoring her TVs/Tapes outside of her old Slug Condemn build to now being a crucial part of her gameplay in general.

  • I doubt BHVR would add a girl that expends half the time flashing her underwear due to her miniskirt.

Hope only activates in endgame, and isn't a free escape like Adrenaline.

You sure about that? ive lost survivors that would have been a sure down if it wasnt for this perk.

The haste buff is really significant.

  • @dbdthegame said:

MFT+Hope isn't broken. MFT on its own is. Most survivors using it have no idea what they're doing, but wait till you chase a good survivor using it.

Hope kinda is on its own as well, its buff was justifiable due to being limited, but now its permanent.

OTR is one of the most busted perks in the game, this isn't even up for debate. It is literally 3 S-tier perks in one, for 80s, twice a game. You get unlimited Distortion, old Iron Will, and BT, all for 80s. I understand it's "necessary" for anti-tunneling, but it is ridiculously strong. There's a reason every single comp league bans it across the board. This isn't even taking into account the fact you can use it aggressively to take hits, with DS to refresh your mend, with MFT so you last even longer in chase off DS, with Dead Hard so you can take another hit before going down again.

I understand the survivor main brainrot has convinced most people that "tunneling = bad" but tunneling is a legit strategy, that killers have to use to help them achieve a win, because survivors are simply too efficient BASEKIT, and maps are simply too safe, with a lot of them being balanced around the common denominator. A lot of maps in the game have enough pallets to predrop every single one and still be able to finish all gens with pallets to spare. What chance do weak killers stand against something like this?

Thing is, while you get a strong defensive effect from OTR, it comes at the cost of you being unable to do essentially nothing, cant work on gens, totems, heals or even save from hook, any of that immediately removes the Endurance.

Yeah it lasts a long time, but if a survivor did kept it for that long, then they were dead weight for a long time for their team.

But that’s thematic. It’s a shot of adrenaline, of course it’s gonna wake a survivor up. Lol.

Agaisnt a Killer that already struggles to begin with and its unfair to this particular killer only.

  • Only two problems i have with it, it shouldnt wake you up against Freddy, and it should at least lose its heal effect if the survivor is hooked.

1 2 3 4 5 6 … 19
