  • Pretty sure the killer is meant to miss while using DH, but i did this challenge some months ago, who knows if its currently bugged.

But yeah, this challenge needs to be updated, like many others.

The movement speed is the trash part of the perk.

Just because it's free and unearned doesn't mean it's strong. Leader also has a free effect that is unearned.

Leader requires grouping up and its effects are niche at best.

Unlike MFT that makes an impact by just existing.

  • And yet survivors are allowed to switch characters at the last second, going from having nothing to everyone having BNPs or Flashlights.

Killers arent even allowed to switch to a different killer anymore.

  • I know they share similarities but big difference here, Knight himself doesnt move with his power, he sends an guard, an AI, unlike Spirit which moves herself, on top of not having a clear warning of her power being used until a few secs after it started.

    yeah! you are so right!!

-8 speed for survivor: "omgg balance! that killer is so good! it's so nice! what a nice ability, MFT +3 speed for survivor (can be countered by perks, even by addons from the killer) "oh nooo that's horrible! the worst perk bhvr brought in" meaniwhile wesker's ability is almost 3x as much, his "balance" iri addon: Corrupt + Lethal if you have full incetion you are one hit, don't forget that 4 sprays are used up right at the beginning of the round, and many more fun & balance stuff, "the balanced killer in dbd :D"

It takes forever to reach full infection mate, unless she keeps throwing you to nothing, which is still losing a lot of time for him.

  • Thats hardly a nerf, DH itself is barely used anymore (Thank god), and the reason people have problem with MFT is cause of the Haste Effect, which is essentially free and permanent.

Doesnt help that you even get Endurance when healing someone.

    This perk is busted.

  • I would rather nerf MFT which IS the problem, than potentially breaking the game by patching everyone else.

  • Hes one of the most balanced killers in the game, that includes his addons as well.

  • Overcharge is fine the way it is, the problem was Skull Merchant herself, plus she was using an addon that removes Skill Check notification, which makes it harder to land, even more when you have an essentially perma stealth killer walking around.

  • Yeah, its dumb that hooks get permanently destroyed for this very reason.

  • Hes harder to play, considerably so, besides while popular, Silent Hill isnt on the same level as Resident Evil, RE is far bigger and well known.

Could also mention that people often like speedy characters, and PH is the opposite of that.

  • I think its a hindrance actually, cause you gotta get used to the new sound, survivors will sound closer than they actually are, and if you get used to it, and switch off, its gonna suck.

  • The main problem is the Exposed effect, committing is basically suicide, and if you take her drones, she places a new one instantly.

Replacing the exposed and emphasizing more on her role of a "hunter" would work better, for example, instead of exposed, its a hinder effect, which makes it worth using even against injured survivors, or other effects, who knows.

Could replace Undetectable for hiding inside the drones to instead causing Oblivious to Survivors inside it, this makes it so if you commit to a gen without taking the drone, you have a really high chance of getting ambushed, even more if youre hindered by the drone, to make it more fair, the Hinder would get removed after getting hit, but Lock On from the drones is faster.

She could potentially get an addon pass as well.

Idk just some ideas, cause shes really hard to tweak without making significant changes.

  • My only problem with him is how dumb the hitbox of Shred is, way too big.

Yeah, im on PC, and those 2 suck.

At least i didnt had to deal with the Console Version of Skilled Huntress.

    Crouch for avoid Victor detection

Not the point, Victor shouldnt be allowed near hooks, at all.

And like i said, doing that is basically an exploit to bypass the intended anticamp mechanic.

  • @DaddyMyers_Mori said:

    Ah, first Hag, now Twins.

Chance you played against several games against Hag is unlikely, but sure.

You managed to play against both Twins and Hag?

    I highly doubt it.

Twins camping is not really good. So what there is Victor nearby? It's just single hit, then she has to walk from god knows where.

I had them back to back, believe it or not, weird day today, im afraid to go outside, a meteor might fall on my head.

Regardless, thats still a free hit for Victor, and if people are injured, even worse.

Your point was that flashlight was the only way to counter hook camp hag. just remove her traps before you are even in a chase. She has to place them preemptively, you shouldnt be able to remove them in chase.

You also shouldn't be able to place basically all the traps around hook, but here we are, long range camper that also severely slows down saves since you gotta deal with the traps, and you better pray she doesnt come back instantly.

  • @nars said:

Hag is one of the most interactive killers. You have to think upwards of 3 steps ahead and outpredict each other for plays that haven't even happened yet.

also how was the flashlight removal a buff??? You can remove them by hand now, no flashlight needed. just crouch over them and it gives you the prompt.

Which is slower and unusable in chase, unlike the Flashlight, which also allowed to removed multiple traps at the same time.

  • Why is BHVR so afraid to nerf Gen Rushing, god windows and pallets, exhaustion perks, toolboxes, etc?

You wanna take away all the options from killers? then we gotta take away from survivors as well.

  • Just got the charm today, yay.

  • @Seraphor said:

    1. Hackers.

    2. So you don't just atay in one match farming BP indefinitely.

I didnt meant removing the cap of BPs earned per match, i mean the max amount you can carry total.

  • @BarnesFlam said:

To fight against hackers and to stop people hoarding an unreasonable amount of BP.

    Why would that matter tbh?

Sure, its cheating, but all you get are items or addons that everyone can already get.

  • Hope should be 5%, since it no longer has a time limit.

  • @nars said:

thanatophobia is useless, you need everyone injured just for it to have any meaningful effect at all. And then that will probably only be happening for like, 20s and for 16 of those they'll be healing making the 20% kinda useless.

i dislike this rework idea because it gives easier chase for not really doing much. So if I've got a guy on hook and I just hit a different one, I just catch up 15% faster? i just dont like messing with movement speed.

Tbf, Thana is useful on Legion and Plague, both can keep survivors injured fairly easily, if they Cleanse, they make Plague considerably more dangerous, and healing is a waste of time against Legion due to how easy they injure.

By the fact that I genuinely can't tell whether you mean it's too powerful or too weak, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's actually fairly balanced.

The hitbox is pretty BS, aka, too big.

  • I wouldnt say Demo is that balanced, the hitbox of his Shred is pretty stupid.

  • Yeah... no, its problem is largely not getting value before it reaches at least 4 stacks, but when it does, good god you notice it.

  • Hate it with passion

  • Got around 100 on like 3 different characters, i didnt no-life the event so much, mostly focused on P3ing all the characters i was missing.

So yeah, i maxed out all perks, finally.

  • Scott mentioned it on a recent video.

But DH was essentially instant and gave you i-frames, making it perfect to quickly reach a safe vault/pallet

Dramaturgy can help you around longer loops, but it pales in comparison, since it isnt as effective on short loops, plus it can expose you.

  • Its only ever worth it on SWF that can further boost the Luck.

  • Ill be honest with you, that build is a meme, thats only ever decent on indoor maps, and only some of them.

Scratched Mirror gives a huge info power, but it completely guts your chase potential, essentially nonexistent.

That being said, MFT and Hope are stupid.

  • @not_requested49 said:

And im sure survivors are tired of seeing deadlock, corrupt, sloppy, and lethal too

    Or pain res, pop, noed....

Maybe cause all other regression options which are borderline mandatory to have at least 1 to not lose, are next to useless.

    Ruin? worthless

    Oppression? CD is too long

    Call of Brine? dead

    Overcharge? weak

Dying Light? anyone even uses this at all?

Merciless Storm? only viable on Doctor

Grim Embrace? do you even remember what this one does?

And idk what else i might be missing.

Yeah, the reason Deadlock, Pain Res, Jolt (This one being map dependent), Eruption, Corrupt and Pop are used so often is cause theyre the only viable regression options, could maybe add Pentimento, but that one isnt good on its own (actually useless on its own)

For all the skins it is cheaper buying the pack because each skin costs like ten to fifteen dollars each with aurics and with the pack its around thirty dollars in my currency. If your in fear of losing the skins but can afford to spurge then buy the pack it is cheaper.

So even if i already have one of the skins, buying the pack is still cheaper than buying the other 4 skins from the set individually, gotcha, ty.

  • Im gonna guess some really rough translation happened here.

But no, the Lament Configuration, AKA Pinhead's box is no longer affected by Hoarder or Franklin's Demise, the same applies to all killer items, like Wesker's Aid Sprays, Nemesis's Vaccines or Sadako's tapes.

  • Only the 4th one is actually reasonable.

Singularity is fine for the most part, hes good, just hard to play.

  • Even a 5 sec duration will do nothing against Nurse

You're talking as if the majority of survivors are experts at running killers for long periods of times. The Trickster is effective at minimizing chases because of his power. Getting downed in under 10 seconds is not fun. A power that makes doing that consistently easier because it can damage you at long range makes this happen too often. Running from the killer should be engaging, not annoying or feel like it was hopeless to begin with. And like I said, its situation for this killer. Outside maps favor him whereas indoor maps don't. A simple change to balance this is to basically make his knives do less damage the farther away he is.

Landing his knives at long distances isnt even easy, it has a lot of recoil, and he needs several of them to even injure, unlike Huntress.

  • @KateMain86 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3480620#Comment_3480620

That is not possible in most situations. Relying on counter spots to this specific killer to deal with his power means attempting to keep him in very specific locations for the duration of the match. In my experience the Tricksters I go against rely heavily on the knives and are able to end chases too quickly.

Rely heavily on knives.... maybe cause thats the only way for him to down people reliably? hes an 110% killer with no speed power.

  • @kvinde said:

There is no way to counter this. You are in a open area, with no form of protection around you? Sucks to be you, cus you are dead. Is he too close to you, and he pulls out his knives? Again, sucks to be you. Is there a reason for the 60 knives, or is it just to be annoying?

He doesnt have 60, its 44, and he struggles hard around tall loops.

For starters, dont get caught out in the open or around low loops.

Also his lullaby, if anyone should have a tiny TR with no lullaby it's him, not Deathslinger who can reel you in with a single click the instant he turns a corner.

Wasnt Slinger's TR nerfed a while ago?

Besides Lullaby warns survivors of you being near, but not how near, since unlike TR it has no intensity from distance, which can play in your favor if you use something like M&A, which can catch survivors of guard.

Also, Trickster is more dangerous than Slinger, while Slinger can easily secure injures, Trickster can outright obliterate you if you get caught at a bad spot, and Trickster can snowball pretty badly as well if survivors arent careful.

  • Tbf, most of his problems come from his movement speed.

Out of all the ranged killers, hes the one thats justified the least, in being slower.

  • Well if your intention is to make Trickster absolutely broken then yeah, thats a good way to do it.

Because you don't even understand what MFT does or how much that 3% speed increase is. When MFT is active, a standard speed killer is still 0,48m/s faster than a survivor, meaning that they catch up to a survivor who loops a single point in less than 10 seconds. MFT doesn't even make a difference in the slightest in that scenario, you are just buying into the hype that the perk somehow makes the average survivor an uncatchable speed demon when that is not the case at all.

Until you take into account other things.

The obvious one, hitbox size, survivors are smaller, which allows them to run around loops tighter than any killer can, add the speed boost from MFT, and this becomes A LOT more noticeable, specially against the slower killers.

Then we can add other factors as well, Hope and Resilience.

Hope and MFT makes you as fast as a 110% killer, thats should never EVER be a thing, which is also why i firmly believe Hope should get toned down as well, since its permanent during endgame, before it was limited which justified the huge speed, but not anymore.

And the worst one, Resilience, remember what Spine Chill did? it increased Vault Speed, and it was a problem, cause these two were combined to make really fast vaults, making looping stupidly stronger, thats why Spine Chill lost that buff completely, and now we have its replacement, MFT, while it doesnt increase vault speed, it does increase movement speed, its basically the same thing in a different way, this "looping build" was nerfed for a reason, and it needs to be nerfed again since they brought it back.

And thats without mentioning the second function of this perk, the Endurance after healing someone, which is quite a strong effect, even if its rare.

  • @jeffkillsyou96 said:

Puffalope made 2 videos on MFT and I can assure you you’re just bad as killer

Who and why should i care?

Ive dealt with this perk plenty enough to see how much of a problem it is.

  • Another game where it took me forever to catch people cause of this stupidity...

Im seriously close to quitting killer until this dumb speed build gets nuked.

  • Maybe cause hes lock in place when dashing? if he misses, unless he landed right next to you, usually gives you plenty of distance.

  • I dont think ive ever run into one tbh.

But i guess i might help them out, cause lots of the challenges are stupid.

  • Midwich is probably the only true killer sided map in the game, with Shelter Woods being a close second.

Theyre small, and resources are limited.

An honorary mention would be Saloon but that one has issues that greatly turn the favor to one side or the other, the size and gen spread towards killer with the main building towards survivors.

Every other map is either obnoxiously survivor sided or even.

Granted, all maps should be as even as possible.

1 … 3 4 5 6 7 … 19
