Please give more killers haste effect.

The implementation of MFT has slowed down the speed of killers relatively. It is mainly the low tier killers who are perplexed by this change in environment. However, nerf for MFT isn't required. What we really need is to buff some killers.

As you know, before some time, BHVR was reluctant to give the killer a haste status effect. What changed this precedent was the Knight's buff. In addition, Skull Merchant has an unprecedented base-kit mechanism for haste status effect, and the Singularity's add-on that gains haste status effect is one of the popular ones. On the other hand, many early killers still rely on PWYF.

Giving killers with less ability to chase survivors a unique mechanism to gain rapid status would be more helpful than nerfing MFT. However, implementing it as a perk is a bad idea. Since the perk is available to everyone, the effect needs to be reduced so that high tier killers do not become too strong. Since we already have PWYF, any more quick perk could break the game.

Therefore, enhancing the respective base kits and add-ons so that low tier killers can gain quick status would make this game better.

This is the main part of my proposal so far.

From here on out, these are my specific ideas and I would be happy to help you pass the time.

Trapper

Buff base-kit:

Grants a 5 % Haste status effect for 5 seconds after setting a Bear Trap.

Buff add-ons:

  • Padded jaws (Common)

Survivors on the traverser take no damage.

While any survivors are trapped, the trapper gains a 5 % Haste status effect.

The points gained by trapping a survivor are increased by 100%.

  • Coffee Grounds (Uncommon)

Increases a 5 % Haste status effect for 5 seconds after setting a Bear Trap.

Shape

Buff base-kit:

Each tier-down, the shape gain 1 Token. (except tier-down by tombstone piece)

In tier iii, the shape gains a 1.5% Haste stats effect per accumulated Token.

Doctor

Buff base-kit:

When static blast hit (1/2/3/4) survivors, the doctor gains a (2%/4%/6%/8%) Haste stats effect for 10 seconds.

Nightmare

Rework add-on:

  • Black box (Ultra Rare)

While there are 4 survivors in dream world, the Nightmare gains a 3% Haste stats effect.

Dying survivors can wake up and leave dream world.

Pig

Buff add-ons:

  • Last Will (Uncommon)

Increases Movement speed during an Ambush Dash by +6 +15 %.

Increases the Charge time of Ambush Dash by +33 +50 %.

  • Amanda's Letter (Ultra Rare)

When crouched, the auras of all survivors within 16 meters are revealed to you.

Reduces available reverse bear traps by -2 traps.

Survivors at full health can't hear the Pig's voice of ambush dash.

Twins

Buff base-kit:

The latched survivor can remove and crush Victor by performing the remove action for 8 12 seconds.

While Charlotte chases latched survivor, she gains a 5% Haste stats effect.

Nemesis

Rework add-on:

  • Jill's Sandwich

When the Nemesis destroys Zombies by basic attack, the Nemesis gains a 5% Haste stats effect for 30 seconds.

Increases Zombie Respawn time by +10 seconds.

Onryo

Buff base-kit:

While the Onryo chases survivors who are carrying a VHS tape, she gains a 5% Haste stats effect.

Thank you for reading to the end. It may have been a lot of bizarre ideas, but anyway, my suggestion is simple.

Low-tier-killers should be given more mechanisms that they can gain a haste status effect.

(If you have some interesting idea about haste status effects, please tell me.)

Comments

  • universal problems of killer is usually address by universal perks like how bamboozle addresses god-windows by blocking the window. so perhaps we will see universal haste perk.

  • I would rather nerf MFT which IS the problem, than potentially breaking the game by patching everyone else.

  • Nah, MFT still needs a nerf. Giving other killers Haste effects to counter it is just a bandaid in a lot of cases.

Though, I would actually like to see Trapper gain a movement speed boost while a survivor is trapped, that’s a decent idea.

  • I'll always be in favour of more killer Haste perks.
