  • Tbf, its not a problem with the killer, its the perk Forced Hesitation, that perk was the only one that could be a problem from the killer side (unlike 2 on the survivor one, including the map...)

I saw a basement build centered around it with Demo, so yeah, its the perk.

Also, 3 gen Knight is nowhere near as strong as it used to be, after both Overcharge and CoB got gutted, even Eruption got hit pretty hard, which also applies to SM.

  • And they added a perk that gives a haste effect essentially for free and permanent, what a joke.

  • Its better than before where if you were high rank, you essentially had to half-throw the match to earn it.

Or wait for reset to get it easily.

Now, its only tied to 4 kills, DC should count though, yeah

  • @lifeisstrange said:

The question is do people really wanna do end game builds? I for sure dont because I may not even live to use any hope/theory/pact etch. I bet this is gonna be like that blood rush uproar only to find out in the end that no one even touch the perk or use those END game speed builds.

Is not even about the endgame, its the perk alone, and any combo it can use, notably, Resilience

  • @Sharby said:

Heavens forbid Survivor gets a new meta perk for once.

Cause they certainly havent gotten any of them in the past did they? they nearly got 2 in this patch alone, both being OP, at least they nerfed one of them, the other still needs a hit

  • Well, color me surprised, this perk is just as dumb as i though, chases are horrendous cause of it.

GG devs, for releasing a obviously problematic perk without any changes

  • @GolbezGarlandGabrant said:

If a survivor is alive by end game it's likely they escape regardless. Hope is an end game perk, it should be rewarding to use like any other end game perk.

If survivors I running things like MFT, Adrenaline, Hope, Blood Pact that's at least half their build for end game. Less room for things like WoO, Prove, DS or anything else that would help them get to end game.

Until you realize that can make survivors essentially a "no go" when it comes to chase, chasing them would be an utter waste and lose you the match, cause it would take a considerable amount of time, if you even manage to catch them.

Now imagine if most of the team if not all of them run perks like these, and then we include SWF into the mix, you basically cant do anything.

Anti loop wont help at all, cause they can straight up just run into another tile.

We already saw this with DH, getting hit by DH was a massive blow, cause it considerably extended chases, now we have a perk thats essentially free that makes survivors stronger at chase in general, add something like Resilience into the mix, and this will get ridiculous.

Then we add Team perks, and this becomes unplayable.

  • @Iron_Cutlass said:

The easiest solution, in my opinion, is make it so the Haste effect does not stack with other Haste effects, it solves a lot of problems with the perk.

Adding a cap could also work.

But in general, this perk and potentially Hope need to be looked at.

  • Cause that map is BS essentially, it has some of the worst balanced loops in the game, borderline infinites even.

  • @Göch said:

Yeah please get rid of hindered aswell, especially the Wesker and Blight ones.

Doesnt Wesker only apply when fully infected? outside of tunneling one person with it, i think hes mostly fine balance wise.

Blight... yeah that boi needs an addon pass.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

It will NOT add to the 2 million cap.

You lose the BP if you claim a daily challenge or a tome challenge if the amount claimed would exceed 2 million BP.

It sucks and I hate it.

well, good thing i saved them, ty for the response.

  • Both of the Red Forest ones, they only made them prettier, but did nothing to fix the issues they had, such has the size of the map.

It took me 8 matches to get it yesterday because people REFUSED to work with me. I'd get on a gen with someone, they'd leave, I'd start healing with another person they'd leave, it was like pulling teeth to actually get it. I understand splitting up is great and the best thing to do but like, cmon lol

One of my friends took like 8 hours to get the 360 Sec Coop one cause his teammates were abysmal the entire day.

I agree that brand new part is a problem and pain to deal with. But I probably would say it’s needs to be reworked and nerf rather than remove.

They have nerfed that thing considerably and its still an issue, its just something that cant exist unless it recibes a complete rework which is the same as just removing it.

The sole purpose of this addon is for gen rushing, nothing else.

  • @Dogma_loki said:

That didn't last long. 2 days and killers already crying about something else.

Talk about not reading the OP

"they've always been a problem, they're still a problem, even after the multiple nerfs they've gotten."

BNPs have been an issue since forever.

  • @OnryosTapeRentals said:

I assumed they'd go with the White Rabbit or March Hare for her cosmetic. I feel like it would've made more sense? Idk

I think it fits considering the whole motif of Queen of Hearts and decapitations, so the one killer that uses an axe as her main weapon would be an easy fit, specially since its a killer, which wouldnt fit much with the White Rabbit or March Hare

  • I usually just slap them and move on to whoever i find next, if they are still AFK after a while i just hook them, its their fault.

it doesnt need to be the survivor's first hook stage, it needs to be their first time they are put on a scourge hook

Oh thats how it is? still, 4 uses of 15% is still bad.

  • I agree on Pain Res, 15% is just not worth it for a perk you can only use 4 times, requires first hooks, scourge hooks and a down.

Too much to get 15% on a single gen, it isnt worth it, if it remains that way, the perk is officially dead.

If they wanna keep the 4 usage cap, then the regression should be considerably higher, like 25%

  • I mean, it still serves its purpose perfectly, which is finding the hatch a lot easier, only difference is that you can only find it when youre the only person left

I disagree, the aura change is nice but not enough. Self Care shouldn't lose it's self heal, too harsh for solo queue.

Self Care is not an option, that will take way, way too long. It's literally going to be the worst perk in the game.

Solo Q already got a mayor buff with the Icons, and this doesnt apply just to Solo Q, it also applies to SWF, being able to heal yourself as many times as you want at any decent speed is simply too strong, if you want to heal yourself that desperately then bring a medkit or have others heal you.

  • @ad19970 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3381885#Comment_3381885

I simply disagree. I think it's important for CoH to allow self healing, because of solo survivors. If the healing time is increased enough, and it would be, it wouldn't be that bad anymore.

The new aura change literally helps solo survivors more than anyone, you simply cant heal yourself with it.

If you want infinite heals, theres Self Care waiting for you.

  • @ad19970 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3381480#Comment_3381480

This I definitely agree with. People are overreacting as always, and I also do not believe the argument that solo queue is dead now, considering that altruistic heal was nerfed just as much. The only thing I really dislike is the fact you can't heal yourself with CoH anymore, that needs to come back, because the healing nerf already indirectly nerfs CoH enough.

I predict that BHVR already has a 20 second heal as a back up plan though, and is going with 24 seconds to see how far they can push heal times. I do agree that 24 seconds might be a bit much. I just hope that if they reduce the healing time to 20 seconds, they also look at perks like PR, maybe buffing them a bit somewhere else. PR could do 20% regression instead of 15% for example.

I also want Pop buffed a litte, it's arguably the healthiest slowdown perk in the game.

Thing is, the ability to heal yourself infinitely is just too strong, and it often leads to stale situations, where theres no progress from either side.

  • @Defend said:

If they really needed to nerf Pain Res, they could've done a currrent generator progress nerf like they've done with the rest of the regression perks.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BBZIP9SI2SOK/image.png

^ if they did this change, anything 75% would do less and anything above 75% would do the same % or a little more.

Personally I think pain res is the most balanced gen regress perk we had. If you couldn't get downs you can't get progression, rng and incentivized getting other survivors. It really helped killers who doesn't have high movement speeds, I use this perk constantly with The Knight. Now? I don't think i'm ever gonna run this perk.

That would have killed the perk just as well.

Current progression is just bad, thats why Pop rarely ever gets used, and why Eruption was changed back to total rather than current progress.

  • @Chordyceps said:

The Pain Resonance thing was basically the only thing I took issue with for this update. It feels weird to take a perk that already only triggers on specific hooks and then add ANOTHER condition to that. Now to get use out of it you have to not only down people in a specific area, you have to down specific people in a specific area.

I think the CoH nerf was also overdone tbf.

  • @Crowman said:

I disagree that it wasn't problematic, but I do think think they went a bit too hard on a perk that already suffers from rng spawns of scourge hooks.

They could have made it so instead of capping it at 4 hooks, it instead loses effectiveness each time the same survivor is hooked.

First time a survivor is hooked its 15%, second time they get hooked, 10%, last which kills them its 5%.

Or idk, something better than this Pre-Change Nerf of Eruption levels of gutting, cause this is just as bad as the original nerf they intended for Eruption

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Extreme dislike. Didn't like the first iteration or these changes. Not every killer has to be Nurse/Huntress/Blight level of complexity, but free bloodlust and pallet breaking is bad. This isn't skilled gameplay.

That only happens if you take her drones, it isnt free.

You gotta pick your poison against her, similar to Plague

  • @Davenport916 said:

Alien vs predator would be awesome for the anniversary. The xenomorph is my most requested liscenced killer. Other than that I'd like to see the mummy. Just saw that movie last night, forgot how good it is. Brendan Frazier's character would be a cool survivor to add to the game as well.

Man, i miss movies like The Mummy, most of the stuff that comes out lately is trash...and Disney is butchering every franchise they get their hands on.

Anyway, while interesting idea, i doubt its a good one, balancing even one killer is a hassle, having two drop at the same time is a recipe for disaster.

  • @dollidahlia said:

Playing SM non 3 gens? So a normal basic M1 killer?

I just can’t see her drones being used in chases. You put the drone down, and the survivor just holds W.

Well, her new update (that apparently drops tomorrow) will make her stronger in chase, since with each trap active, she becomes faster, up to a 7% movement speed increase.

And active claw traps make it impossible for the survivor to hack other drones, plus, her brown addon that makes pallets break will become basekit.

Technically i could but he would know where i was thanks to the gen popping. Maybe the better discussion would be if the EGC should be completely reworked i guess..

99% all gens and them pop them one by one in seconds, to assert dominance.

Do the Yellow Glyph challenge and watch how you slowly drift into madness.

I heard it was bugged, but i usually didnt had trouble doing it

  • hes already pretty strong on chase, i dont think he needs any changes outside of an addon pass, cause his addons suck almost as badly has Executioner's

  • Not a great idea.

Plague is surprisingly good, and she can force survivors to stay broken or give her a powerful chase power that can easily snowball a team.

Being able to tell exactly how much progress of infection someone has, would make it too easy to time an insta down around loops.

  • This is one of the worst ideas ive heard in a while.

  • Would be better to have a shirtless/mutated Wesker, like his final boss fight.

  • @Crowman said:

BHVR stated at one point that the visual updates weren't meant to be balance changes and that maps that need balance changes are a separate focus. Still considering how long it took for them to put out red forest rework, it's a shame they couldn't bundle a balance change with it.

Kinda dumb they couldnt balance Red Forest, specially considering how the main complain was that it was too big more than anything.

  • @Xendritch said:

I don't mind Gas Haven getting a rework it's on the list of maps that need one I just dunno how I feel about it while BHVR memes about how bad they know cowshed is and giving up an opportunity to shrink red forest while they were giving it a visual overhaul. I mean it's obviously a good thing if true just their priorities seem a bit odd to me.

Really hoping Cowshed gets one mayor rework, that maps needs it the most next to Garden of Cringe

  • Theres no easy fix im afraid, due to her problems being fundamental to her design.

People compare her to Knight for 3 gen potential but honestly, shes way stronger, she immediately knows if someone is working on one of the 3 gens, and depending on addons, she can be even stronger from her Drones buff/debuffs.

And committing to gen will only end with you getting Exposed, and even if you get rid of her drone, she can easily put up another one in matter of seconds.

Simply nerfing her could cripple her and make her really weak, but obviously she cant remain in this state

  • Dont care about Hag, that killer is one of the worst to go against.

But man, Pig just gets nerfed one way or another every patch

  • Its essentially the term used for killers who's main mean of doing dmg and downing survivors is by doing basic attacks.

Even Knight fits here, since most of the dmg comes from him with the aid from his guards, since they rarely actually injure someone.

Same applies to Legion for example, while they can injure with their power, they can only down with a basic attack normally.

Wesker doesnt really fit here, since its preferable to use his power for doing dmg in general, Nemesis is partially the same in that regard.

  • Got it on my first try

  • When they realize i play Knight and their little exploits mean nothing to me.

  • Skins only most likely.

I doubt they will release another RE chapter any time soon, since the last one was pretty recent still.

  • Im forced to since im an achievement hunter, but unless she gets some changes, its unlikely ill play her much after, if at all.

  • Yeah, it went to being the most broken thing in the game, to the most obnoxious thing in the game.

    Such a massive nerf...

  • @Wexton said:

I truly doubt it, but it would be cool.

I'm one of the rare folks that doesn't want a new stranger things chapter, mostly because I don't like vecna or the later seasons of stranger things. But I won't deny that a starcourt mall map wouldn't be cool, because it totally would be cool.

Tbf, the last season was a massive improvement over the previous two seasons
