The killer you always default to, and on bad games makes you go 'man, I wish I was playing x'.
That's not what I would call addictive. But going by your definition, it would probably be Spirit. I do prefer Nurse by a mile, but Spirit is consistent on every and all maps even if she bores me to death. Except RPD. But that map makes me consistently not want to play DbD.
-
Tnx for posting this. I will share my thoughts probably on Monday, as I don't have much free time in the weekend.
Do you happen to know the scoring criteria? Those would impact the way the trials play out and how players approach them.
Also, is the killer know beforehand or there's a surprise factor?

I honestly stopped reading when I got to the only 4% of the players are SWF. From my experience that is a bs number and definitely varies on mmr.
Edit: you said 5%.
4% is in a 4-man, not total swf.
Iirc, the last figure we received was that swfs are in 45% of matches, but only a minimal portion are full pre-mades.
-
Just when I thought I heard everything from dbd's community, I read a suggestion to increase the grind. Amazing.
-
It depends if the team is coordinated or not.
In general, wglf, unbreakable, coh, dh, are all good. Exponential would be good, but coh is already good enough.
In short, anything anti-slug and healing.

Didn't they make it where Rancid Abittoir's main building basement's entrance was a narrow door that was also easily blocked? They did fix that quickly but it seems BHVR never learns.
They're inconsistent about that. You can still bodyblock basement in main building on Resting Place.

I’m glad I have two S tier killers to enjoy: Spirit and Artist.
Artist without landmine crows is not S tier anymore, imho. Still very good, but definitely not a contender with Spirit.

3 or 4 as killer. Generally, 1 as survivor.
-
Try crossplay on in the EU morning until 5pm (I really can't play outside those hours). Instant lobbies on survivor, I wish I could've those on killer.
Not in the EU? Just move in, 4head.
-
You're too slow to zone the map, and you're losing too much distance.
115 is impactful on looping, but that won't give him any more noticeable map pressure. The difference is actually negligeable. If you want to make him more oppressive 1v1 (he still is, contrary to popular belief), that would make it happen. But it won't affect his 1v4.
-
Use possessed chains at loops, not to close distance in the open.
You want to put the gateway almost on top of the survivor and cast the chain right away. Not exactly on top, or you could get juked, but say within a couple of metres of the survivor.
The box carrier is oblivious. If you get a killer instinct near you, it's better to try to sneak up on them rather than teleport.
There are also some tips on how to find the spawn points of the Lament Configuration, but for that it's better if you watch a guide on youtube.

Don't get how that's OP but
After years of getting blinded by clicky neon Neas, we finally have the opportunity to burn survivors' retinas for revenge.

No popcorn over here, but it looks like you could use some cookies. Here's a cookie for ya.

I didn't watch a TON of videos on her, but the change from the injury to resetting the swarm seems big? Or is it not that big a deal?
It is an obvious nerf. You can still set up crows to cross fire and swarmed survivor do take damage from flying crows.
-
Merciless requirements are tied to rank color. Even if you face good survivors, you will be required to achieve less at low ranks. Therefore, trying after rank resets will give you your highest chance.
Play some trials and get a feel for her power. If you see things aren't going your way, it's better to let go and allow the team to escape.
She has a strong kit and 3 slowdown-ish perk. It shouldn't be too difficult.
-
*ruin could start at 100% gen regression rate and increase that speed after a certain amount of hooks
Uncleansable Ruin would be busted. Even with this^ nerf.
The other proposals could work.
-
Swap Pentimento for Retribution. For the rest it looks good.
-
Stream sniping to gain an advantage is against Twitch ToS. As a streamer yourself, you might want to think twice.
As for the ethics relating to your question, bhvr openly allows comms just as they don't forbid stream sniping. Either are free game.
Lastly, swf=/=on comms. It's not unusual for content creators to simply queue up together but off comms, so they can freely interact with chat.

One thing I will never agree with is consecutive blinds. One blind and that's it. Killer should have immunity afterwards for ~2-3s
That would be a killer nerf actually. Just look down while you're blinded the first time, they try to re-blind and make no distance AND you're not blinded.
The angles should definitely be fixed instead.
-
Sure. Sprint Burst exists anyway.
-
You need to tell them how to reproduce or nothing will happen. Send a DM to a mod or a dev.
-
Comp, because all the sweatlords will head over to casual hoping for easy stomps.
-
In a nutshell: same #########, only less NFTs.
-
There would be no issues in and of itself in making cages grant WGLF stacks. Tokens affect bloodpoint gain, but don't give any in-trial advantage whatsoever. The hook-perk argument is not that sound either. There are already multiple ways to gain tokens, of which hook rescues are only one possible venue. So, WGLF is not an exclusively hook perk already.
BHVR doesn't probably want to go down that path, because there would be an uproar asking for cages to grant BBQ stacks as well, but that wouldn't be gameplay neutral at all. BBQ proc'ing would not only offer game-impacting effects in the form of aura reading and potentially even clue in to the potential location of the cage.
In short, avoiding the issue, BHVR also avoids having to deal with the pettiness of this community. For once, I can't fault them for that.

The current strategy is to pretend the queues are not slow. In fact, they're fast than ever.
Really? Reading this thread and others, it would seem that the strategy is actually to pretend the queues are slow... all while parroting that one has quit killer and plays survivor because gg ez... and yet if that were true they would know queues are fast... (pro tip: from the main menu press 'play as survivor' and then 'ready'. It's recommended to do so before logging into the forum to say "zOmG kILlErS aLl LeFT, dBd Is DeaDeD hArd").
-
No, it's still random. I just rewatched a couple of trials of mine from yesterday. First game, the first survivor had Plaything spawn across the map. The second hex was next to the hook. The others where about average distance and that's just where the remaining totems were available. Second game on Grim Pantry I got the first two hooks by the totem spawns at the rocks near shack and Plaything still spawned at corner totems instead.
Also, having a close spawn is not necessarily a bad thing. Survivors will be baited into cleansing the totem immediately, which will disable DS the moment they touch it and they're still oblivious while you're going back to the hook for the big fat tunnel.
5head tunneler brain pro move, honestly.

@Yords said:
Is this a bug, glitch, or hack?
I was joking about hacking. I think it was a double 90 turn to go around the main building. It can be done at shack too. Then he lunged. Although, not gonna lie, that looked very clean and frame perfect.
-
Do you mean the other add-on nerfs, or have I missed the memo on something else?

@GoodBoyKaru said:
Oh I actually have to load the game back up again? And play? Ugh
I mean, ofc it's gonna be for bp. Imagine playing dbd for fun after the first 10h.
-
That Blight must have an S-tier gaming chair.
I doubt they'll kill switch an entire killer. They'll probably just minimize and tell you to report as hacking.
-
With ruin undying it's better to just camp the first down. The zombies do provide pressure in the meantime barring maps like mother's dwelling. You can also get contamination off rescue attempts and force early consumption of the vaccines. This has been the meta Nemesis in EU since after a couple of months he was released.
I think I literally saw only two Nemesis not playing the hardcore camp since then. One was a guy with two low tier perks and the other one was using a full endgame build.
-
2.8k too many.
2k maybe 1.8k as killer and the rest as survivor.
-
It was outshadowed by Blight's J-flick-gate. Plus, Onis aren't super common, or as common as Blights.
You're correct that's been possible to do that for the longest time, just to be clear.

his terror radius is 24m, no? did I get that wrong?
It's not 24m anymore. They increased it to 32m with the recent nerfs.
-
The first person to be chased is the most likely to be tunneled to death. So, don't get found first. Probably not the kind of advice you were looking for, but unfortunately there are no magic bullets here.
You received some good perk suggestions. You can also try iron will with lucky break, to try to lose the killer completely. A medkit is recommended with it.
-
Google z-flick.
Or any recent Blight guide.

How is posting statistics hearsay? These are real numbers from real games he really played get out of here with that dumb #########
I don't see any stats. And it's hearsay because they're not even OP's dataset, but their friend's.
Otoh, someone is being dumb here. That we can agree on.
@[Deleted User] said:
That's about my experience in a 2 man SWF (no comms). Results get worse for the killers if we 4 man it on casual comms, but we all have years of comp experience in that SWF so although we're not necessarily sweating via perks or playstyle, it's fairly optimized.
It's really interesting to see what starts to happen to Hag as survivors wise up. She doesn't actually have pressure or much in the way of downing capability. You can tank a hit and hold W up the walls of the map. It forces her to commit to a chase cross map and leave a 3 gen or go back to her web with nothing to show for it. Most would disagree with me, but Twins are better than Hag in an optimal environment.
Twins are better because they can snowball better off a survivors' slip up and they require actual coordination for bodyblocks and resets. Also, Forced Penance soft counters the survivor strategy a little bit.
A Hag can be beat if the whole team knows the macro strategy, even if they're solos. She's always been a pubstomper.
All this is imho.
-
I hate mmr.
I can also tell that someone who makes a living off win streaks is gonna hate mmr too, but for reasons different from mine.
Survivor queues are fast as well during the day. As usual. Nothing changed. Players' count has been stable on steam charts. Nobody's quitting. There's no exodus of an oppressed minority.
-
No, MMR isn't working. But I think that not based on what you posted.
This is hearsay of hearsay. Thanks for posting, but it's as anecdotal as it gets.

Noed gonna be nerfed. You cant stop it.
On what basis? Until he-who-shall-not-be-named will have a say on game balance, noed won't be touched.
-
There is no point in not bringing a full meta build on either side.
Killers can tunnel and camp basekit. There's no fix to that other than perks.
Survivors can split on gens basekit. There's no fix to that even for meta killers other than to bring perks.
So, I doubt anyone feels silly. OP might.

Does it work with For the people ? Thanks that will make things easier
It 'should'. Keyword. Sometimes these challenges are bugged and I haven't got a chance to do this one in this level.
-
When you combine anti-loop, map presssure with free movement, some stealth and a wide array of good add-ons, you essentially get an easier version of Blight.
I could see the nerf coming from a mile away.
Bhvr is fine with meta killers, as long as they aren't too simple to pick up and directly pubstomp with AND they aren't included in the base game.
-
For the People. Force the gate open, then insta heal even if it means you die. And Pray the challenge isn't bugged.

Chainsaw is extra funny cause then they added "Bubba's chainsaw"
They should've gone with "chainsaw go brrrrr" for Billy, instead.
-
No. There's a bug where what op described does happen. The killer dc's, match is over and everyone is in the tally screen, then when the survivors get back to the main menu they find out they've been timed out.
-
It's a bug. They'll just tell you that if you don't have a habit of dc'ing it's only 5 min and you just take it and blablabla.

Honestly, both of Nemesis's Iris feel borderline useless.
PH's are crazily niche and very seldom get value.
Freddy's are just embarrassingly bad.
Nemesis' shattered badge or whatever is called is actually very popular in tournaments.

I assume it's because using DS makes them the obsession, so now the person with the repair speed buff is not on gens, while everyone else gets slowdown.
I wouldn't call it a "counter", more of a consolation.
I suppose that's what OP meant, definitely an ambitious conclusion of them to think that 'counters' DS.

Or it is because he lowkey sucks without bringing a specific build. If they made a Basement Bubba NFT, do you think people would magically stop playing Basement Bubba? Hell nah.
Basement Bubbas have morals. Of courss, they'd boycott NFTs.
-
His buff is called Play with your food. Getting the first hit is no longer a problem even when pre-dropping pallets.
There's your power. From there, he's always been a snowball killer. So, play accordingly.
