Definitely a bug. If you're on steam, sometimes it takes a while before the progress gets updated. You might find out later it got unlocked. You can try restarono steam as well.

Trolls don't even try, these days.

McMillan lost it's uniqueness factor. It now looks like Badham with decayed buildings. I hate it.
Azarov has lighting, contrast and shadows completely ######### up.
Coldwind got a survivor buff lmao.
Crotus Pren lost all its ominous feel and now resembles a bombed out citadel for a WWII shooter game.
Don't even let me start on the character facial reworks.

If you want to SWF go do in a casual game, ranked should be solo only.
It would help if you had any sound justification for this blanket statement.
If anything, ranked is tryhard grounds by definition. So, the opposite of what you said should happen and ranked should be SWF only. Even though, swf=/=tryhards, but I don't you care about that.
And anyway, how do you handle pre-mades that aren't full? A 3-man wouldn't fit either queue. So, they'd be erased from the game. A duo could only play with another duo, but a 2+2 is actually very different from a 4-man.
Lastly, if you want to segregate queues, you have to use a single standard and do it on killer side as well. Ain't no ######### way you should be allowed to queue up for a guaranteed solo lobby and you bring a meta killer. If you equate swf with broken, so it shall happen on the other side. Feel free to play Nurse/Blight/Spirit against SWFs only. Tryhards with tryhards. Casuals with casuals. Fair.

Same as before. You either injure someone and commit. Or you injure and rotate.
When you get your power, you slug.
Coh has very little impact on Oni.

Despite the name, the system doesn't measure skill. The devs outright know that and told us.
The match-ups are made so that you have a 50% win rate ON AVERAGE. And, since it's easier to force the extremes, i.e. 0-1ks and 3-4ks, most trials feel lopsided.
The reason you were put into that match is, simply put, because you has been dying a lot and the game threw you a bone.
It's entirely possible the killer was coming from a streak of smashing baby survivors and MMR decided it was their turn for stomping time.
The system doesn't have anything to do with skills or even fairness of match-ups. It's simply an algorythm that forces the killrates to be 50%.

Otz is also objectively proven wrong by the comp scene as mentioned earlier on in the thread. Unless Otz thinks he's better than comp players despite me being unable to find videos of Otz ever facing comp teams.
He played killer in the BOTB tournament with team Gentlemen and iirc placed 3rd or 4th. The games might still be on Hexy's YT channel.

Have you even played with blight or the movement speed add-ons?
While the control difference isn't very noticable on bounces one and two bounces but give minor amounts of speed.
Meanwhile 3 and 4 are extremely noticeable and give a large amount of speed.
Yes, I speak from first-hand experience.

I think the movement speed add-ons are fine as is.
Ironically I'd think those movement speed add-on changes would be a BUFF to them as it makes them more controllable.
Part of the gimmick of the speed add-ons is that they make you so fast its hard to control and thus reducing the upside inherently reduces the downside.
Reducing the speed is a nerf. Don't get fooled by the reaction argument, which is not solid.
You pre-path your next bump during the slam duration which remains unaffacted. In rush, you turn and flick but those are not noticeably harder to control, because you already know your destination.
Look no further than comp. Every Blight worth their salt uses at least Blighted Crow even when all add-ons are allowed.

Why do you need "merciless" when you get an easy 4k, which is theoretically a win, and as survivor you just need to escape without doing anything :(.
Because once upon time a 4k equaled merciless.
Then, with the introduction of emblems, they changed the meaning (i.e. requirements) of merciless, while adept remained based on achieving the latter in the wording of the achievement.
The best way to get the adept is to go for it at grade reset. You need lesser emblems for a merciless at ash grade.
And no, it's unlikely they will change the achievement in the future because they stated it's too much of a pita to do so on console.

In all online games you will always find shills. Don't think this one out too hard. Some people defend vexing features like the obscene grind, because they have an agenda and others do it because they like being contrarian edgelords.
You won't be able to change either's mind with rational arguments, because they aren't doing what they're doing for rational motives.

In my experience going against Nemesis, I'm usually forced off a gen on open maps at least once for 20 seconds. They may not get hits per se, but they do generate some passive pressure.
They do work to keep passive pressure, but in return I've come to the conclusion that he's basically forced to run ruin to get value out of zombies.
Which, unironically, it makes hard camping the first hook and infecting aspiring rescuers to get rid of vaccines a surprisingly effective strategy.

Please enlighten me how do you know other players ping? OPs first line clearly refers to killers with ping under 40 ms.
Also the jankyness comes from the fact that the server and client both need to sync which was poorly implemented, as always
Enlightenment incoming in 3, 2, 1: "EVERYONE with a ping under 40".

Who exactly is preventing you from running the meta?
What exactly does entitle you to decide what other players should run for your own amusement?

That's not really how it works. Did you really just say that this game is survivor sided for Nurse?
You see, it's kinda dumb to say 50% is balanced. You camp first survivor and then get second kill with NOED? Is it balanced game?
Even when you played really bad, if you didn't give up you can get at least 1 kill, so it's not between 0-4, but results are between 1-4.
Unironically, a certain dev plays exactly like in your noed example. It makes one put things into perspective.
-
'Good' is not good enough to contend with design flaws that strongly encourage to run the meta, not just to win, but in order to have a game at all. This is true for survivors just as killers.
Killers' strategies involve camping, tunneling (and to a lesser extent slugging, but I'm not considering it so much for this). Those are basekit and there's no base mechanic to prevent that. That's band-aided through perks.
It doesn't matter how 'good' stuff like, for example, Any Means Necessary is, because the scenario where resetting a pallet wins you the trial is exceedingly rare. As opposed to the one where a 3v1 is forced earlier and now it's a certain loss because you/your teammates didn't pay the perk tax with BT+DS.
The meta is meta not because it's overtuned (it used to be, specifically with old DS). But because it's necessary to have a trial that doesn't resemble Deathgarden stompgrounds.
If we want to talk exhaustion perks, they're highly dependant on the kind of killer power they're matched up against. Overtuned against some, basically the only saving grace against the sheer amount of loop-equal-die powers that have been introduced in the game.
Sidenote, because the thread was about survivor perks, but the same happens on the flipside. The best survivor strategy is to split pressure on gens. Almost no killer can do anything about it basekit. That's band-aided through game-delaying perks.

No.
The item disappears when she tries to vault.
If he was having an issue connecting to the server, the item would not have disappeared. She simply would have kept running into the wall. Likewise, he does not revert to his original position as one would expect if the connection to the server was funky.
Therefore, the connection issue was on the Survivors end.
That's not how desync works. He lost control of his character. That's client-sided. Anything else that happens around is going to be random through interpolation and rolls back because the client is getting info from the server.
edit: *isn't getting info from the server.

A perfectly timed Dead Hard.
That crisp fake-out vault. You thought she'd fast-vault immediately. Wrong. She simply kicked her router in order to outplay you.
Look closer. After the swing, the killer's camera gets janky and gets locked skipping frames. Same for his movement. It's not the survivor who lagged out.
-
The first 3 perks have been comp meta for a while where allowed. Of course, it's gonna work.
MB is ok in pubs, it really depends on the killer.
-
That's a big buff to the best killer perk in the game (yes, comp tested).
A simpler solution would be to reverse how the perk works procedurally. Currently, the killer's spawn is selected and AFTER that the farthest gens are blocked. If you spawn toward mid map, then a split corrrupt is very common, but it can happen even with killer spawns on the outskirts.
However, if 3 gens in close contiguity were selected first and AFTER the killer is made to spawn the farthest away, then the problem would be immediately solved.
The contiguity of the gens is a simple math problem. Heck, it doesn't even need to be the tightest 3 gen on the map for that to be true.
-
That's a good way to make sure bhvr nerfs Bubba. Ironically, survivors would have the last laugh.
-
Really? All I've been thinking reading those threads is "attention seekers". Especially, when I read them and there's a whole lot of whining about non-issues, like that guy complaining about 'being forced to run lightborn'.
-
This happened in the past when the were running tests and changing the algorythm.
It might be they're tweaking something on the backend and doing tests in your region/platform.
-
Use one crow at a loop. In general, you want to follow them, so if they try to hold W they can't make distance. Now, they have 3 options. Getting zoned by the crow, in which case they get m1'd. Or, get damaged by the crow/swarmed (it depends on how you set it up).
If they get swarmed, ready your power when your gauge is about to come fully back (for whatever reason, the game lets you do that preemptively). You will be able to place the crows immediately as soon as available, so you can shotgun before repel is complete.

I agree. We always needed censorship, especially for butt cracks. We can't expose the young and the feeble to such inappropriate views in an 18 rated game about murder and gore.

How about make it so that if more then one person has DS, they get penalized for it? Like, for each person having it the Skill Check window gets smaller and smaller until it's a very difficult skill check.
Or in general make perks weaker if more then two people have it? 3 people with self care? Slow down their healing by a bunch.
3 people have boon perks? Only one boon can be active on the map at a time, not up to 4. Let's be honest, four boons in the right spot can theoretically erase all scratch marks in the map.
Something to encourage each person has different perks and rolls. Not just the same damn survivor, but with a different flesh suit.
You either skirted around the question, or you're saying that you find fun it survivors use the perks you want them to...?
So, again, what is fun to you?

If you're looping a tile with LoS breakers and a hallucination pops up, then yes, it can cause a moment of hesitation.
Other than that, I don't think so. Although, I remember one Doc using Insidious to try to pose as a hallucination.
-
It depends what killer I'm playing.
-
Because... basement doesn't need buffs? If you want to play basement use a basement build. Scourges ain't that.
-
No Mither, because I feel like I'm sabotaging the team and Lucky Break because I want to get chased. I could say the same for the Houdini build, I guess.
Noed because it's the worst designed perk in the game.
-
It seems like there's an outbreak of branches of doom that's propagating from McMillan to the new map. Cries in Billy significa.

I wouldn't. It's perfect as it is, it's the ultimate Ace up the sleeve perk that gives you another chance for a comeback without being too oppressive. Freddy's other perks are far more in need of buffing than Blood Warden.
Remember Me could do with the 2.7.0 nerf reverted (so back to 6 stacks for 30 seconds extra time), and maybe let it get stacks on special attacks as well.
Fire Up just needs extra numbers, I'd like 6%, personally.
Also while we're at it please let me play Old Freddy again, thanks.
No Way Out had killed every chance that Remember me gets buffed back.

The good Freddy players were removed along with the second nerf to his power. Hence why I said he fell off.
The good Spirit players? @TheGannMan you've been called.
The good Billy players? Overheat. The only thing that needed a change were InstaSaw and they gutted the whole killer. Idiotic idea and I wish they'd get rid of it again.
Also I like you bringing up Billy despite me never mentioning him in my original comment. Really relevant there
As someone who grew up as a Billy main, and who's still one at least in the heart, overheat really isn't much of a concern, especially since they re-balanced engravings. Sure, it's a mechanic that is kinda there, but it rarely gets into play except when being exceedingly greedy for chainsaws that really aren't there. When everyone mentions overheat it feels almost as they still think it's the same as it was in the ptb.
Imho, the reason Billy has disappeared is that Bubba is objectively better almost across the entire board and even a blindfolded bonobo could play as him. The fact the reworks happened at the same time kinda sealed the deal. Now, I could go in detail about why he's better, but I'd digress.
-
Typical community overreaction. Bhvr says "nerf" and everybody jumps a non-sinking ship.
Spirit is still very much s-tier. She's hilarious to play with a machine gun build.
Also, it might be a placebo, but I think they shadow buffed the sound of survivors' footstep in phase.

No, it doesn't. You have one unofficial tournament, with a small sample size in terms of games, which excludes nearly 90% of the roster. It's a bad balance argument on those grounds alone because we don't have the missing Killers to draw conclusions from because nobody actually tried them outside of, like, three games.
With regards to "no game has every viable option in tier S": the problem is that said games are pitting two options from multiple tiers against each other. But survivors are essentially always a top tier pick in this sort of analogy; the only hope for a non-top tier Killer is that the Survivors play badly and go for suboptimal loadouts, even if the Killer is specced correctly.
If one side is always an S Tier pick, the other side needs to be all S Tier. You do not have a functional balance if you tell people "90% of your choices always have the option of putting you in an unwinnable game regardless of your performance :)"
Survivors are not a top tier pick always.
Just because survivors are just skins, as opposed to killers that possess individual abilities, survivors' strength is still impacted by what they bring into the trial. Going by extreme examples, the best survivor in the world is going to be very different in strenghts between different iterations of themselves, going from perkless, to full meta loadout, to soloq, to 4-man, etc.
Survivors are a top tier pick when there's 4 ceiling-skilled survivors, coordinating together on comms, bringing the most stacked loadouts. That's akin an omega blink Nurse with full slowdown. Outside of this example, every survivor team below that varies in strength, just like the other killer characters do.
Or are you telling me that the average teams you see in pubs are top tier? Because that's simply counterfactual.
That's why the whole argument of survivor/killer sided doesn't hold water without context. Why are we to consider survivors as if they were always playing with full nuclear firepower, but not killers? And that includes the choice of the specific killer characters. Which inevitably vary in viability, as it's literally the case in every game that always inevitably develops a meta at the top.
If anything, you outright contradict yourself. Killer is always a potential top tier pick because the single player has always the option of the best of the best meta. And that meta can actually contend with the survivors'.

So when you play killer and the survivors finish all of the generators and 2 of them t-bag you at the gate and escape, do you think to yourself "Hey I just won the game!!!"
No, I think I drew. My 2nd grade math skills assist me in that assessment. And I'm usually unaware if they're tbagging, because I'm already tabbed out searching videos on Tube, not necessarily the YouOne though.

Based on what criteria?

Played killer too much. I get bored asf of everything after a couple trials.
However, if I had to pick one, currently it would probably be Phead for getting blind punishment of the damned through walls (zoning or animation lock hits are free, I don't care).

You get for free when you m1 instead of m2.
-
Fun fact: the ability to disable maps from the backend has been in the game from well before the killswitch and had been used occasionally.
For the rest, rpd was disabled more than it's been in rotation. The devs probably don't want the same kind of publicity with back-to-back new maps.
