    Nah, I'm on PC.

I have crossplay on. I'll look for you.

  • We're no strangers to love

You know the rules and so do I

    A full commitment's what I'm thinking of

You wouldn't get this from any other guy

    Your heart's been aching, but

You're too shy to say it

Inside, we both know what's been going on

  • The graphics are too small for me to identify most of them.

  • The key to success is literally a key.

  • I'd be happy to play as killer against you.

I'm about your rank and don't run any of those insane meta builds people have, so I should be able to give you consistent experience instead of having to rely on matchmaking.

  • Yeah.

I feel like her power should be reworked in a way that keeps with the original concept: a phantasmal killer that could appear out of nowhere with no warning.

Like Spirit, but trading stealth capabilities for mobility.

  • @TruEternity said:

Ghostface is in a good spot, besides the buggy reveal mechanic. He has 1 shot down, can hide his terror radius to get close and get free hits, he’s basically the most balanced killer for both sides. As for his add ons, while not ridiculous they’re not bad by any means.

Also sidebar, Nurse is in a good spot too, and if you think she should be reverted get good at blinking.

Not saying anything about Ghostface, but Nurse does need some improvements.

Pretty much any Nurse main will tell you that she isn't any weaker than she was before, just more tedious and less fun to play as. They literally just raised her already overwhelming skill floor without lowering her skill ceiling.

If they wanted to remove her from the lineup for being too powerful, they should have done that, not make her into a buggy, irritating mess with the most "limit power for BP" add-ons in the game taking up, almost all of her brown add-ons.

Now pretty much the only people who actually play Nurse tend to be sweatlords who don't care about anyone, including themselves, having fun, and only care about winning at all costs.

I'm not saying the "nerfs" should be reverted, but she absolutely shouldn't remain in the state she's in right now.

  • They just need to show the killer that it's active before it comes into effect.

Making the survivor with Endurance not be able to bodyblock would also be nice, but not necessary if my first suggestion was implemented.

  • Will Wood and the Tapeworms.

They have a fairly free-form and surreal style that's incredibly satisfying to listen to by design.

Love Me Normally is a good song to start with if you wanna try them out.

Otz can 50 win as any Killer. High-level skill players is not indicative of how the other 99% of people play. Or even can play.

    Not Trickster or Myers.

Plus, he's never gotten a 100 win streak as any other killer.

  • Phineas and Ferb. I was only allowed to watch PG rated content after I turned 11, and even then it wasn't specifically because of my age.

  • I'm looking into it, but I haven't gotten any games yet.

  • I almost want to buy Freddy just for BW.

And then combine it with Franklin's.

  • Oof. I physically felt that.

I wouldn't say I've had any sad moments, but I have had an amazingly frustrating one.

I was trying out Clown for like the third time. The map was Haddonfield, and I was running Redhead's Pinky Finger even though I didn't have the throwing arc down and wasn't running Fingerless Parade Gloves.

Needless to say, I got crushed within five minutes. It wasn't even a SWF, judging by how they were congratulating each other in the post-game chat for how "good" they did, when they literally just hid in lockers and genrushed me.

  • I kinda agree with the sentiment, but if survivor perks were basically just stat increases then the game would be... really boring.

    For everyone.

  • That's her power.

    That is literally her deal.

Her power isn't supposed to literally be camping and slugging.

  • While it does take some skill, it's absolutely nowhere near enough to justify the power of the perk.

The "skill" involved is mostly basic pattern recognition (assuming that you're actually using it to dodge) and the ability to realize the direction that you're facing so that you don't charge directly into a wall.

If killer is based almost entirely on punishing survivor mistakes, being able to just erase the fact that you let the killer get close enough to hit you after injuring you beforehand is not fun or fair.

It doesn't matter all that much that it doesn't work sometimes. That's like saying infinite T3 Myers is fine because he can be genrushed.

There is a reason that DH is the only perk complained about as much as NOED. And no, BBQ and BT don't even come close to that amount of controversy.

  • I actually like this idea.

It would give survivors some actual choices to make beyond "should I screw over my team or not?"

  • Here's some more pictures, even if they aren't exactly the cutest.

    snook.jpg Fennec.jpg Radio Bodies.jpeg

  • I expected Pig and Slinger to be fun.

I expected Trapper to be boring.

I was wrong on all three accounts.

  • Noice.

And killers think they can't win without a boatload of gen stopper perks, aura perks. These perks are crutches that killers spam in every single game because they aren't good enough to win without them.

Very hypocritical calling DS busted while crutching on wallhacking perks, perks that stop the other sides objective. In other games, a perk like BBQ would be called a "cheat" and Huntress hitboxes would never happen in other games.

In other games, people would have called out the sheer amount of second chances survivors have, and the difference between the effort put in between the two sides would be considered completely unfair.

Killers literally have to mindgame in order to have a chance. There are very few other games (other than werewolf style games) where this is an actual necessity. DBD is not like other games.

Keys can literally give survivors infinite wallhacks if they actually put even minimal effort into their build, in addition to giving a free escape if you even try and don't get tunneled out of the game. BBQ at least requires the killer to actually do something that qualifies as gameplay. Killers don't complain about Kindred on a regular basis and say that it's "OP," do they?

Killers "crutch" on slowdown perks because they're basically necessary. If killers put in the same amount of effort and brain power as survivors, it would take about ten minutes to get twelve hooks. Survivors can complete all five generators within seven minutes, if they aren't even trying very hard. A genrusher squad (multiple survivors who avoid the killer at all costs and just complete generators as fast as possible) can end a game in as few as three and a half minutes, regardless of how hard the killer pressures gens.

And yes, I realize that I just responded to a bait post. It's just that some people actually read this stuff, and I don't want them to go thinking you were "objectively right" because virtually no one responded.

  • I'm rank 8.

I go against rank 1 survivors on a regular basis.

    I don't have a lot of fun.

  • Evil Incarnate and Adept Myers.

You generally don't get those within the first five matches, let alone the first one.

youre clearly not Dabihwow, the title of the thread says youre lucky I guess

We have an impostor in out midst.

  • Genrushing being the meta kinda made my choice for me.

Legion has built-in slowdown and is pretty much guaranteed to injure survivors. They can force survivors into a chase and off of gens with high mobility and deep wound that they have to mend, making it extremely difficult to genrush Legion without some serious preparation.

Myers is extremely easy to see despite being a stealth killer, spends most of the game as an M1 killer with a slightly smaller TR but no power, and up there with Pig in the ranking for least mobile killer. He has to interact with survivors to be able to do anything but has no way to force them into interactions, so genrushing absolutely annihilates him.

  • Springtrap would be nice, but Alien honestly fits better.

I'm not saying we'll never get FNAF, though.

  • I feel you, even from a killer perspective.

I've seen teams leave the two best loopers to literally die the first time they were hooked. I wasn't running knockout or anything, they knew exactly were the survivors were. Really sucks when you're trying to do a Mori daily.

I think you should change the title of the post, though. The way you worded it makes it sound like you're upset because you've hit the second hook state at all, which doesn't appear to be what this post is about.

  • I'd like to join, although I feel the need to mention that I'm not actually that good.

  • Clown can literally shut down a loop in seconds with minimal effort.

Deathsllinger is similar, but takes more effort and can get hits more consistently.

  • I would want Felix (would help with finding and completing the gens), Claudette (empathetic, could heal me after I inevitably get hooked twice), and Laurie (would take an absolute ######### ton of heat off of me).

I absolutely wouldn't want Yun-Jin (self centered, wouldn't help me out at all), Kate (her whole deal is that she just gets beat and books it), or Nea (she is literally the ######### Entity and would spend the entire trial urban evading around the map).

Yea, I have run into quite a few people who tried to be comp in fishing against me or had something to say to me. When I use fishing as an outlet to escape from society as a whole, because I just don't wanna deal with it lol. I've been playing games since I was 4. Started MMO's at 5 years old, so I have had a lot of time on MP games since then. So I can only speak from experience of how the industry has changed since then. Yea a lot of people my age still act like they are in middle school, but then again it's just an increasing number of people in general of all ages that seem to cause drama/toxicity everywhere including dbd. I try to be as nice as I can, but I don't take it if someone dishes it out towards me that's for sure.

    Holy hell.

Have you been interviewed by @WishIcouldmain yet?

You certainly qualify, and judging by this post it would be super interesting.

They like that, because it makes them feel powerful. Being able to make other people quit is funny to them and they justify it by saying they weren't cut out for DBD and should go play the Sims instead (if they didn't feel like putting up with complete bastards every game.)

And when the new killers they do this to don't quit... getting thrashed encourages you to become better. Getting made fun of encourages you to play nasty and punish the other side - to get back at them for treating you this way. Which contributes so much towards this cycle of survivors hating killers and killers hating survivors, and justifying everything they do because the other side is worse. Some of the nastiest people I have met justified their behavior by saying they needed to do it because killers are toxic, or because survivors all run piles of second chance perks and can't git gud on their own so they deserve it - when they were the ones being thoroughly unsportsmanlike without provocation.

I've run into way more awful survivors in game (both as foes and my teammates - I've run into killers that were dicks in postgame chat, and of course I've fallen afoul of BMing basement Bubbas, but more often I run into teammates that ream people out for honest mistakes or just call each other trash without even explaining what they're unhappy about), but while I was on the Steam forums, I met a ton of people who were proud of playing killer as nastily as possible, to the point of their walls of -reps being a point of pride. There is a ton of hostility in this community and it's impossible to avoid even when you go out of your way to play generously, because people are so pissed about their other games that they'll take it out on you.

This is one of the reasons I make it a point to always play nice.

I don't want the survivors to leave the game thinking I treated them unfairly.

I even avoid doing particularly powerful plays because I know that they're completely unfun and cheap for the survivors. I've only ever intentionally slugged once (I wanted their friend to pick them up so I could get my Mori daily), I've ran NOED one time (I had no other perks that had any actual value to fill my last slot), I only camp if there is virtually no chance of me getting another hook, and I only tunnel if I see a key or an Object (you are literally asking for it if you run OoO).

I want to feel powerful, but I know that that is absolutely not an excuse to ruin someone's day.

  • Bubba, Doc, and Pyramid Head.

Bubba because he's easy to play and has some fun add-ons.

Doctor because it's incredibly easy to find hiding survivors and Order exists.

Pyramid Head because he is overwhelmingly difficult to bully and can actually punish greed and mistakes to a significant degree.

I also play a good deal of Wraith, Trapper, and Slinger.

  • I'm rank 8 killer (recent development), rank 15 survivor.

32 - She needs a "roar". Like the pig. when pig starts her dash attack, she roars. She might stop early and not actually do the dash, but the roar still comes out.

you gotta give something similar to spirit.

when you start going into phase, there's an obvious indicator. Doesn't need to be sound based, it can be purely visual, but it needs to be fairly easy to see.

You can still fake going into phase, but you can't just stand there, it will require a bit of a commitment (and having a full power bar).

I think this would solve most issues people have with spirit.

Maybe she could scrunch up like she does on the killer's view.

Okay a large majority vote for Daniel lets see what Beezleboop says

    Hubert Linderton.

    But Daniel works too.

  • Judging by the responses here, I'm gonna say...

    Not a problem

If anything, i's an un-problem. It's basically a wasted perk slot on most killers, like Knockout or Gearhead.

I used to have Demo when I played on Stadia, but the fact that he has no truly useful perks made me not want to buy him again on PC, even though I loved using his power.

  • As a killer main, whenever a survivor tries to team with me, they can expect a nice ride to the nearest sacrificial hook.

But then again, I usually do the same whenever someone gives me their item as an offering.

@Beelzeboop, @QwQw ,@glitchboi Here is the next 1 or 2 pages of when we spend time with James, I might have to look it over but it took a while to make sorry for the wait. Now onto the page

He began making his way out into the living room making his way past the the couch and tv, and over to a shelf that had his outside boots. James picked them up and slipped his feet inside. He tied them into a tight knot and exited out through the front door. James walked out onto the porch and breathed in fresh morning air, as the sun was rising. He walked off the porch and onto the concrete, which he then made his way to the chicken coop. James already heard the chickens flapping furiously and clucking like a bunch mad dogs. "Well into the belly of the beast I go." James sighed

He stopped at the coop, and let out a sigh as he entered and was greeted by a mad flapping of birds. Feathers bird ######### and weat laid on the floor. The chickens in question were excited to see James, however he was not excited to see them. James went to pick up an egg container and began to pace toward the chickens' cubbies, he picked up at least eight eggs, and received two or more bite marks. After words, James exited the coop irritated from all the clucking, and went to the front porch to drop off the eggs. "God damn chickens." James growled.

He then walked to the small barn on the right of the two story house, and entered inside. "Betsie you here girl?" James called out, he heard a loud moo. " There you are honey." James, as he walked over to the old cow. She has been a part of James life since childhood, saldy though she was dying, James knew that. A pain came to him, Betsie has been apart of his life since growing up on the farm. Its like saying goodbye, suddenly Betsie mooed again bringing James back to reality, he blinked, and looked over at the cow. "Sorry about that honey I'll feed ya here shortly."

James walked over to a closet, and grabbed a bag of cow feed. He lifted it over his shoulders, and made his way to Betsie's food bowl. James opened the bag then poured it into the bowl until it was full. He checked her water bowl and thankfully for him it was still rather clean. "Alright, I'll see ya later Betsie." James spoke softly as he made his way out of the barn and back to the front porch, he picked up the eggs and walked inside. "I'm back." He called out as the smell of bacon, pancakes, and coffee filled his nostrils

James quickly took off his boots, and marched into the kitchen where a plate of two pancakes, two bacon slices and a cup of coffee waited for him. "Thanks grandpa." James thanked Caleb as he took the plate, and the coffee then sat down at the dinner table. James stared at the tv watching the news talking about the weather forecast, he cut up his pancake and took a bite out of one of them. "Was Betsie alright?" Caleb questioned as he came to sit down next to James. James shook his head solemnly, which made Caleb sigh. "I don't know if there is much we can do for her now, poor girl, I know how much you love her but we gotta put her down, your daddy wou-." "I know pa, I don't want to talk about it though, alright, just, not now." James interrupted him

Suddenly he felt a chill in the air and lifted his head up to face Caleb, and his expression didn't show a hint of a smile. "I'm sorry I-." "I know, I get it boy, you don't want to think of, them, right?" Caleb questioned, James nodded his head sadly as he continued to eat the rest of his breakfast."I understand I apologize, but don't talk to me like that again, got it boy?" Caleb demanded. "Yes". "Yes what?", James sighed. " Yes,sir ". James groaned as apologetically as he could. "That's more like it." Caleb voiced. James rolled his eyes and stared at the Tv, and watched as the meteorologist talk about the weather.

"Well it looks like its gonna rain in the next few days." James announced. "Yeah, I'll have to check in and make sure it can work ." Caleb commented. "Thanks John up next we have a missing reports case that has been shared to us this morning." The newswoman said on the TV. James stared at the screen as he took his coffee, drank the burning hot liquid, he tasted the cream and sweetener. "We have reports of a man named Elliot Ford who went to deliver concessions and others at a local gas station in the town of Pinebrook, South of Indianapolis has gone missing last night." It was at this moment Caleb looked and stared at the tv screen with concern. "He was last seen ordering a meatball sub from a local restaurant, and was last heard by a phone call with his CEO, Otto Franklin."

James glared at the screen, it wasn't the first time he heard a missing persons report. However, it was the first time he heard it here in Pinebrook, of all places. "I... I'll get ready, I'm finished thank you." James said as he took his plate and walked over to the sink and washed it off. He then walked back to his room, hearing the news lady talk more about this, Elliot Ford. James entered in and picked up his phone, he turned it on to see he missed a phone call. He checked the time and it read six thirty. "Oh #########, I gotta get going. then." James commented, as he quickly began gathering his uniform.

Sorry for responding so late. I've been really busy for the past couple days. You know how it is.

But I'm here now, and that's what matters.

Well, actually, what matters is that you posted a new Pinebrook page or two, but I'll let that slide for now.

This is really good. I can see a couple mistakes, but nothing that a minimal amount of editing couldn't clean up. You've really improved a lot since you started writing this, and I'm pretty proud of you to be honest.

Gotta say, I really expected the town to be abandoned like Silent Hills. But I actually like this better. It adds an additional level of uncanniness to Pinebrook, which I really love.

Something I feel like I need to address... the protagonist's visual description sounds a bit too close to another James we know... with the whole sunken eyes, coat, jeans, dirty blonde hair. While the similarities aren't too extreme, you need to be really careful when making a work that's heavily inspired by another one.

People are very, very overeager to call something a rip-off if there's even a slight similarity. I've seen Gemini Home Entertainment be called a Local 58 rip-off, to give you an idea.
