  • Like a somewhat more violent version of the Twins.

    I like it.

Doesn't get stunned by pallets and walks right through them and instadowns and has a base mori for 1st hook

Tombstone Myers but always in T3 and has Spirit Fury, Enduring, Sloppy, Tinkerer, Ruin, Crowd Control, BBQ, Blood Favor, Bamboozle, Blood Warden, Shadowborn and Lightborn as basekit

  • Doesn't Acidic Vial only apply Mangled while the survivors are intoxicated?

If not, I should actually be running that add-on.

Man he also said false things tl defend is zero skill zero knowledge of the game! (I amore devotion 10, with platinum in game and almost all the trophyes and rift Challanges every Tome)

He doesnt know like hatch spawns , it Is clear.

    That is completely irrelevant.

The issue is that you can get banned.

The mods literally couldn't care less who, how or why you broke the rules. It genuinely doesn't matter whatosoever.

I'm trying to help you. If you don't want an account, fine. Don't listen to me unless you want to have a continued presence on this forum.

Man he seems hhe doesnt comprend what he reads, yo fine excuse.

Do you think that the mods would actually care? The context doesn't matter, the issue is that you did something wrong.

    There's a reason that flame-baiting is a thing.

I would say that you should edit your post so that it doesn't include outright insults to the other person.

  • I like the idea of first person survivor cameras. It would add an element of insecurity to the game, which would in my opinion make the game that much better. They would need to have a button to quickly stop what they're doing and look over their shoulder, though.

I don't think killers should be put into third person, since that would damage the overall vibe of playing killer. I would say just bring their FoV to an actually reasonable level so that they don't have so many blind spots right in front of them.

You are simpy a negationist survivor main with non skill that only wants easy wins. Next.

    Don't talk like that.

Especially don't let the mods hear.

  • No. That's the only thing related to slowdown that he has in his basekit.

Bubba's main ability is that he eats through pallets like potato chips. If you removed that element from him, he would go down about two tiers. Even Otz says this.

He can't use his power for mobility like Oni, Blight, or Billy, can't save his power to have it at the exact moment he needs it like Blight, Myers or Oni, and has a chainsaw running at all times so he's garbage at stealth even with Tinkerer or ToT.

This is the final page, for Pinebrooks prologue, it has been one helluva journey writing this from the start we met Elliot, a man with sins he couldn't fully confront. Now to the newly named Daniel Linderton ( James Linderton ). I want to thank everyone who has enjoyed my works as an author it brings me pride and joy knowing that my work has inspired and introduced you to this dark world. I might show small excerpts to give hints what is to come but I let y'all decide. Thanks for being apart of making Pinebrook and let us see how the beginning ends.

Daniel grabbed the shirt from his closet, and changed out of his t shirt for the formal looking one. Daniel also picked up his phone, and pocket knife. " Alright time to go" He mumbled, as he marched out of his room, he saw that the Tv was turned off and Caleb was tying his shoes. " Here you are boy." Caleb said as he handed Daniel his boots. " Thanks Pa." Daniel responded, as he quickly got his boots on. After they were nice and tight, he got up and went for the coat hanger to grab his brown, leather jacket. It had wool, and fluff around the collar of the neck which Daniel thought was a nice touch.

He exited the front door along with Caleb. He began walking down the steps of the patio and to his grandpa's red truck. Caleb locked the front door, as Daniel hopped in the truck. As he buckled down, Daniel began wondering about the missing individual that was last seen in Pinebrook. Why is someone missing in a small city like Pinebrook, we aren't that big like Indianapolis, maybe Bloomington, but still just how? He wondered. Daniel heard Caleb climb in and turned his to face him. He buckled down and inserted the keys. The truck roared to life, Caleb began putting the truck in reverse.

He reversed the truck into a small rectangle section of his rocky road. The sound of the tires driving over them, was like popcorn popping in a microwave. Caleb then shifted gears and had the truck drive forward on the rocky road and stopped at a gate that blocked off people from the property. Caleb hopped out and went to the console near the gate, Daniel just waited until the thing opened. Once Caleb entered the code the gate opened, and he made his way inside the truck. They drove off the property, then onto paved road, and to the right as they passed up and down the hills around the trees.

Even though Daniel has lived in Pinebrook for all his life he was still mesmerized by its beauty. With the trees were like gateways to some place that was from some fantasy. But now, something felt different, almost out of place, the trees now didn't emit the same beauty as before. Daniel still couldn't shake off the fact that someone went missing, he turned away from the window and looked forward. " Hey grandpa." " Yeah?" Caleb responded. " Is it me does it all feel different, I still can't shake off that someone went missing here." " Well it happens, I... I believe people will find the cityboy, either way and people will carry on." Caleb answered

Daniel squinted and looked at Caleb when he answered. Daniel knew his grandfather for being caring about others, even strangers of all people, its all part of Hoosier Hospitality. But now, Daniel didn't detect a sign of that caring side of Caleb. " Grandpa you okay, you just se-." " I'm fine boy, don't worry about me now, worry about yourself, let's not talk about the missing person, understand?" Caleb questioned. Daniel sat wide eyed, and nodded. If there is one thing Daniel knew is that when his grandpa spoke in such a tone, he will shut his mouth only to him.

They began to reach the small buildings near Pinebrook, and soon they began to see the whole view. The buildings though old looked magnificent with the brick decal placed on it, yet still it felt, off. " Alright here we are, I'll drop you off right next ." Caleb spoke. " Alright, but remember to pick me up at three o clock, don't forget ." Daniel reminded Caleb. " Dammit boy, that one time, one time." Caleb remarked. " I just wanna make sure my grandpa still got it." Daniel chuckled. " Boy I can still kick yo ass and you know it. " Caleb answered, Daniel still chuckled.

They came into a parking space as Daniel hopped out of the truck and waved goodbye to his grandpa. As Caleb drove off, Daniel then began to make his way to the museum. "Daniel." A feminine voice whispered directly at his ear. He spun around to see no one, Daniel also received some weird looks, as he smiled and waved. Calm down, its just you Daniel lets not make it weird. He assured himself. Daniel sighed and began to hum a tune the people knew in this town, as he began to walk in the streets, of Pinebrook.

Don't worry, you didn't need to tag me. I've had this thread bookmarked since page three.

    Some issues I've noticed:

You said "buckle down" instead of "buckle up," which is the more common way to phrase it. However, it might just be a regional difference I haven't heard of. If so, then that's fine.

Characters tend to put in commas when they're speaking as opposed to periods, turning what would have been natural sounding dialogue into awkward run-on sentences.

When dialogue is cut off (meaning ending with a hyphen), you don't put in a period at the end. Question marks and exclamation points are good, though. For example:

"Smile, you son of a- !"

If the sentence ends after the dialogue it contains, you shouldn't put a period at the end of the sentence, following the above mentioned rule. For example:

" I don't know, it's like this: thousands of years ago this spaceship crashes, and this thing, whatever it is, jumps out or crawls out and gets entombed in the ice," MacReady sighed.

Otherwise, the whole thing is great, as usual.

I'm kinda disappointed that we're not gonna get much more Pinebrook until the books come out, but it's probably for the best.

Remember to save one of the first prints of the book for me. I don't care how much it costs as long as I can get my hands on it.

    1. Mostly killer. I almost never play survivor because I literally don't have time for the queues.
    2. I'm a fairly good sport, I would say. I do tend to be a bit bitter after getting bullied for eight minutes straight though.
    3. I will prestige pretty much as fast as possible once I run out of good add-ons (I still don't have IAE on PH somehow).
    4. Yes. I'm not exactly a calm person, if you couldn't guess.
    5. I've bought some, and will probably buy some more in the future. But only if I really like both the character and the skin.
  • Seems interesting, but would suck to deal with as a survivor.

Plus, it would barely effect SWF, so it would just hurt the already suffering solo queue.

  • I like the concept of Ghostface, but he feels overwhelmingly clunky and too difficult for his power level. And yes, I know he can just straight up bypass chases, but it barely saves any time.

I really hate Huntress for some reason. The lullaby extends past her Terror Radius, and there's no way to silence it. She's slow and needs to take detours in the middle of a chase to reload at a locker so she doesn't end up being a 110% M1 killer with no power. Her arc is stupid and I just suck at her. I know how powerful she is in the right hands, but she's too boring for me to bother with her.

What would constitute being helpful in this case, though? He's clearly not having fun with the character, so why should be keep playing him?

Wouldn't the devs be more inclined to improve a character if no one's playing him?

Saying "If it hurts, don't do it" but in a deliberately insulting way is absolutely not helpful. It's just stating the obvious. I don't think there is much anyone can say to help him with Trickster being garbage.

And no. The devs would actually prefer to do the exact opposite. The nerf to Nurse didn't lower her skill ceiling or power level, just made her overwhelmingly tedious and somehow more difficult to play. They did the exact same thing with the Billy nerf (and he was like Blight in the sense that he was both strong and balanced, so he didn't even need a nerf), seemingly just to spite that one Billy player that one of the devs couldn't loop.

You could also not play trickster since you're not having fun with him. Novel concept but you should give it a try.

I know it's not easy to be nice to Tony, but please at least try to be helpful.

  • Well, they did ask for grabs last tome, so no reason to be surprised.

  • This is actually a good idea.

    Good job, Tony!

  • Also, whats wrong with shaking your head? It's like the only way you can communicate as killer.

  • I'm actually something between the two somehow. I never intentionally BM or do anything unfun for the survivors unless they do that to me.

But I don't joke around. I'm no tryhard, but I do put in more effort than most, and it shows.

You ruin my fun, I ruin yours. It's only fair.

Iirc, Ganymede was the god of homosexual love and was taken by Zeus to be the his personal cup bearer.

    Yup, that sounds like Zeus.

I didn’t see requests for nerfs anywhere in the OP, they were just complaining that they find him unfun. You don’t have to defend the honour of your chosen killer, it’s okay if people don’t like them. They just have different taste than you.

Well, you're right, they didn't ask for nerfs.

They asked for his outright removal. They said so in the first line of the post.

Oh god and here I am worrying about the body blocking double wraith or twins and twins combos

On the other hand, Legion and Plague.

  • I hope it's not actually the two killer gamemode everyone wants. I'm being serious here.

    Plague and Oni.

    Legion and Oni.

    Nurse and Doctor.

    Twins and Pyramid Head.

    The combos are horrifying.

  • You realize that the only way he can use his power is when you screw up?

His whole deal is that survivors have to be actually attentive or be actually significantly punished for their mistakes.

    in PH Comment by Beelzeboop
  • I hate it Yamaoka Estate has no gens for me to pressure.

It's almost as bad as when it has no hooks.

  • As a Pyramid Head main, I am mildly offended.

  • I mean, if you want to be able to slam all the gens as fast as you can without dealing with any other part of the game, you have to accept that that's not fun for the killer. It's basically BMing but it actually helps you.

So it's basically like camping, tunneling and slugging except there aren't any strategies that counter it and there are only two or three perks that help mitigate it.

So if you don't want killers to complain about genrushing, you don't get to complain about tunneling, camping, and slugging. That's just basic fairness.

  • The devs think it's perfectly fair to deny a killer a hook by pointing a cone of light at the side of their neck.

  • Bouncy Best Boi Blight.

Great power, good perks, fun and balanced.

  • As a slasher villain... he'll be back.

Jason "died" once or twice too, didn't he?

  • Myers would still win since he's an actual supernatural entity and has strength beyond what any normal human can hope to achieve.

Actually, no one would win, since his regen is so strong that if you gave it to both contenders the fight would literally never end until one of them dies of old age. Which would be Huntress, since Michael is literally immortal.

  • This isn't a fight.

    This is a murder.

Myers has taken multiple bullets directly into his eyes. And just walked it off.

He later impaled someone by ramming the same gun through them and the wall behind them.

  • Could you please stop posting this meme, Tony?

We've all seen it already from your other posts.

It's not inaccurate, it's just not really entertaining once you've seen it six times.

  • I believe this game is survivor sided, but not for the reasons you would think.

The main issue with this game isn't really balance. It's more that the game refuses to give the experience it promises to the killer.

If you play killer, the game promises a power fantasy where you slaughter and terrorize four survivors who need to push themselves to the absolute limit of their skill to have a chance to escape.

Out of 23 killers, there are only about six (Executioner, Oni, Spirit, Nurse, Deathslinger, and Blight) that actually fit this description at all in a standard match, and those ones are very, very hard to play. Most of the others don't even feel like a power role, or much less like an imposing, terrifying figure as promised.

The fact that survivors have as many second chances as they do makes it feel like the killer's work was all for nothing, which is often the actual case. The fact that survivors try to draw out a chase instead of escaping it makes it feel like the whole thing is just triviality for them, even if you catch them, which is also the case a good deal of the time. The fact that survivors' main means of defense are more tedious and irritating to deal with than being any sort of threat just exacerbates the problem.

Survivor shouldn't be as easy as it is. I'm not saying that they're overpowered, but I feel like they should have more ways to express their skill that aren't extremely frustrating for the killer. That applies to killers, too, but they already have enough skill expression as it is. It's just that the killer's skill doesn't matter as much as the survivors', since the survivors control the flow of the game.

If you want to debate that last point, keep this in mind while you formulate your argument:

    • The survivors determine where a chase goes (exception is when they're up against one of the afore mentioned killers or Clown) and what loops are going to be included. The killer just has to follow, since it's, you know, a chase.
    • The killer's main goal is to end chases as fast as possible and get that survivor hooked so that they can go back to patrolling generators. As such, the survivor's goal in a chase is to keep the chase up for as long as possible. The killer literally has to chase (except Ghostface and Wraith), so the killer is basically powerless if the survivor is even slightly better at looping than them.
    • The survivors decide how long the game lasts. I don't want to go into detail since there have been tons and tons of posts abut the gen speeds, but there's one other thing: the survivors can leave the game whenever they want. The only exception is when they're all slugged. (Slugging for no reason is literally the same thing as T-bagging at the exit gates till the last second, both functionally and psychologically. You're making fun of the other players for losing and not letting them leave for several minutes. Kinda unrelated to the topic, but I just needed to say that.) The killer has to stay until all of the survivors either escape or die. The only alternative is to take the DC penalty.
    • Killers literally can't hold the game hostage, since the longest they can really drag it out is about four minutes after they've decidedly won. Survivors can, however. They can just not finish the last gen so that they can just bully the killer until they get bored and decide to let the match finally ends.
  • I've been waiting for this one for a while.

  • Yeah, it feels like Petrified Oak is basekit lately.

Even with closer hook offerings it's been insane.

  • Survivors often burn Haddonfield offerings so that they know where the gnome is going to be already.

At least that's what the 4man bully squad I faced last night said, in addition to saying that they chose Haddonfield because the totem spawns are all out in the open, and that I was a baby killer for not chasing them as a B tier killer and just farming my power in the street. They also claimed that they weren't a bully squad, despite the fact that they swapped to flashlights at the last second so I wouldn't run Franklins in addition to the whole flagrant 4man smurf squad with a Haddonfield offering.

  • While it is kinda boring, the audio advantage is undeniable.

  • I prefer old Freddy since his power better represented how he works in the movies.

Freddy doesn't set traps. The whole point is that you're either totally vulnerable or completely safe, and often you're not entirely sure which until it's too late.

  • I only listen to it in the lobbies and loading screens since I rely pretty heavily on audio tracking.

  • I tend to just ignore them. Aggressively.

As in I won't even look at the exit zone unless I know I can catch one of them.

Don't give them the satisfaction of paying attention.

If they want to sit there with nothing to do for three minutes, fine by me. I'll be looking for the hatch or any pallets/walls I can break.

  • Yeah. Killer lobbies used to be almost instant due to the sheer imbalance of players.

But given that survivor queue times aren't any better, I'm assuming that this is a fairly novel issue and not the result of more killers being in the game.

  • Don't forget how all mobility killers other than Nurse basically can't use their power other than in the street.

But Clown, Trapper, Hag, and Doc are almost average on Haddonfield. Almost.

  • It's over. Wrap it up.

    Everyone go home now!

1 … 5 6 7 8 9 … 24
