your opinion does not necessarily mean it's the truth otherwise why alot of people gen tap ? but yes ,, if you can hit skill checks, ruin skill checks, its obviously faster than tapping
They Gentap because they are bad at hitting Great Skill Checks. It takes longer than simply doing the Gen without tapping, so you should be happy about every Survivor who gentaps.
Besides that, fun "statistic" that Ruin is gone 90% of the time before the first Gen is finished. I have seen Ruins which lasted the full game.

Recently found out just how much of a slowdown Freddys addons gave after being dodged from a game... Apparently swing chains offers 3% per sleeping survivor, up to 12%, while jump rope slows each sleeping person down by 9%.
I mean, it works, so I get people using it. But you were only running the Add-Ons, combine this with Thana and Sloppy, and it gets really annoying.
Its a good build tho, but I feel that the best Build for a Killer should not be massive Slowdown. But overall I dont consider Freddys Add Ons OP (some are without a doubt to weak or pointless), but the combination of all of the Slowdown Stuff can be problematic.
-
This would be my opinion:
Trapper: None.
Wraith: None.
Hillbilly: Tuning Guide is too common for what it does, but not OP.
Nurse: After Rework - none.
Huntress: Iridescent Head, can be changed. Have read an idea here to make it auto-refill on a successful down or Hit (would prefer Down). And also the Exhaustion Add-Ons, too outdated to use a 3K Add On to negate so many good Perks.
Myers: Maybe Tuft of Hair, but only maybe.
Hag: None, even tho, Rusty Shackles and Mint Rag are really strong
Doc: None
Leatherface: None
Freddy: None, but his Slowdown Add Ons can be looked at, because it is incredible boring to play vs a Freddy who goes on max Slowdown (inluding Sloppy, Thana, Dying Light, PGTW)... but more boring because everybody seems to use it (at least the Freddys I go against all had this combo)
Pig: None
Clown: None, Pinky Fingers is an Insta-Down but I consider it more fair than Iri Heads. But I guess others will find it OP
Spirit: Prayer Beads
Legion: None
Plague: None
Ghostface: None
Demogorgon: None

You can see them through walls, too. So it's a double-edged sword. In the end, it turns the bout into a real contest of skill. Using OOO is not a free win. If you don't have the skill to back it up it becomes your own grave. Using OOO forces a showdown between you and the killer.
Also you completely nullify BT, which is a big deal.
As I wrote above, neither should Freddy ignore BT nor should he be visible all the time with OoO.
However, seeing the Survivor with OoO is not really helpful in a chase. Remember see-though Coldwind Walls? They were bad for the Killer, but not bad for the Survivor. In order to loop, the Survivor has to mirror the Killers Movement. It does not work the other way round.
-
PGTW all the way. The best regression Perk.

Can you explain why you think this is an issue please?
Personally I think there are two changes that would make the battlepass system much more player-friendly without affecting the money Behaviour can make off it in a major way:
- all the content in the battlepass track is unlocked when it expires (I believe this is when the next one comes out). Players can get the cosmetics early to show off, but everyone gets everything they paid for in the end. You can still use Auric Cells to skip ahead if you don't want to wait for a certain item; for example I believe that some people would use that option even on day 1 just to have the items before anyone else.
- the ability to switch between current and old battlepass tracks. For more details see my post here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/95577/battlepass-tracks-should-not-expire-once-bought-players-should-be-able-to-pick-one-as-active
Because I think a challenge should be a Challenge. And not become super-easy by some bypass so that everyone can get it without putting any effort in (playing a game as Survivor or Killer is no effort).
Just imagine you play a videogame and have a difficult Boss. I will simply use my Nemesis: The Fume Knight in Dark Souls 2 (I hated this guy). Now imagine, you try it 10 times, and afterwards, he is automatically gone. Kinda cheap, eh?
Or to use a DBD example - after failing the Daily Challenge 5 times, you get it for free. Yay?
-
Yes, long time goal is to get to P3-50 and all Perks on all Characters. I am smarter on Killer tho, I will first get the Perks I need for a Killer before levelling all the other Killers so that I dont end up with all available Perks from the start (like it happened with Survivor).
Also I would hate it to click away the Message that Level 50 is the Bloodweb Cap all the time.
-
Wait until the reworked Nurse is live for a few weeks. Then you will more likely get an answer, which is not from a whiny Killer Main who thinks she is dead or a whiny Survivor Main who thinks she is still OP.
-
This would not be casual-friendly, this would completely remove the challenge.
-
Pipping for me. I dont need to escape as Survivor as long as I pip. Same for Killer, I cannot bother to slug for a 4K, so I hope I pip with the 3K.
-
Ah, the good old classic.
I mean, OhTofu once made a video if you can use Insidious for other things than Hook Camping. He came to the conclusion that it is not possible.
And well; Insidious is the only Killer Perk I would like to change personally. It simply promotes unhealthy and boring gameplay, the gameplay is also boring for the Killer, they just enjoy the Survivors in the Postgame Chat.
But well, until they finally rework this Perk (IF this happens at all), just leave the Match once you are dead and dont give the Killer the Salt he wants.
-
It is intended.
But dont worry, you can tunnel and camp, because BT does not work while in Dreamworld. Either, if the Unhooker is in Dream World, no BT is given, and if the Unhooker is awake, you can simply hit the unhooked person and the Deep Wound Timer will go down, since they are not in the Terror Radius.
Pretty good trade for Freddy I would say, since BT is way more common than OoO.
(Both should not be the case tbh - neither should Freddy be always visible by OoO, nor should he ignore BT)

Have you even seen the challenges? Some of them are pure luck and others are downright toxic. You REALLY haven't looked into the Rift even a little if you actually believe the things you are saying. I was saying those same things before I saw it. The Rift was my entire reason for coming back to DBD.
I even made a comment about that on one of your other Threads. You replied with a one-liner without any arguments. I will not bother to write that again.

So why don't they make it achievable, remove the rebate but charge you every season? The current rift, if it goes live, is very predatory in design due to the rebate aspect. I'm pretty sure more people would be willing to buy it if it was easier but you had to pay for each rift pass individually.
Also, the time aspect is bugging so many people due to the fact that the developers of the game themselves claimed that each rift is going to take around 70 hours to complete, but in the PTB it takes nearly double that. It may change in the live version but the calculations have been done and if it stays the way it is, many possible customers are going to be disheartened by the total amount of time it will take to complete the rift without having to buy tiers.
Again: You can always decide to buy the Premium Pass at the end of the Period. Regarding the time: I dont know how they calculated it, but I can imagine that it is the actual time spent in Matches and not the general time logged in into the game. So Lobbytimes and Loading Screens come on top of the 70hrs of Playtime. (which would indeed make it longer overall)
I tested the Rift on the PTB and honestly cannot wait for the Live Version. My opinion might change, but I want to test it out under Live Conditions. I also dont have any problem with some of the Archive-Challenges being harder than others, but what I dislike is that some are not realistic (e.g. escaping without getting hooked while using Spine Chill. This might work right now after Rank Reset, but this will not work at Red Ranks, at least not for me) or make me use things I dont want to use (e.g. Grabbing 4 times in a single Match. This would either force me to use Prayer Beads or to farm with the Survivors).
In the end, I think it is not meant hat everyone can complete the Rift without spending more money on Auric Cells or that everyone can buy the Rift 1 time and can use the Auric Cells on any upcoming Rift. And I think this is fine, whoever wants to complete a Rift, can spend money. And if you dont like it, that is also fine. But I guess it is fair that people who play more, get more. And not talking about Casuals vs Competitive, in my opinion, every Player in DBD is more of a Casual anyway, because while this game has a Ranking System, there are no Rewards, so it cannot be competitive.
But like I said - lets see when it comes out, I might change my opinion. But so far I am really looking forward to it.

Not saying it's not a lag hiccup, but JUST SAYING he could have hit her there before she teleported, and he chose to wait for his fail reason to do so.
I'm sure you would whaa whaa anyway but still.
And that might be a bug / lag hiccup, but it happens so rarely - it happens without dedicated servers MUCH more often. MUCH, MUCH more often.
99% of games are going so smoothly which is nothing like what P2P had.
You are being a spoiled brat who can't acknowledge the fact that dedicated servers does NOT mean its going to work perfectly all the time. It will NOT. You have to do a reality check with yourself.
However, dedicated servers are a HUGE improvement over P2P, all around. Me and no one else saying they are perfect. It does not mean by any way P2P was better, because it was not.
Some people are just too spoiled and can't appreciate good things, for real.
I acknowledge that there are some people who have issues and I don't. That is fine, and that needs to be fixed.
BUT! I'm playing on European servers, with 80-90 ping, and it works AWESOME. There is NO reason to revert back to P2P for the european region. ZERO reason. If you have problems, then either its your end, or you need to try to work it up with their technical department to understand what and where goes wrong for YOU and how it can be improved.
That he can hit her first does not really matter, this should not happen in the first place. Had the same happening to a Bill today, he walks into the Wall. I downed and hooked him (thought he crashed and I wanted my BBQ Stack before he is DCed), but he was there.
But overall I have to say that the Servers are better than before. But there are still way too many things which do not work and which need to be fixed to have the Servers as a constant addition to the game:
Trapper has some Bugs
Myers is broken (levelling up to EW3 and instantly levelling down)
Breaking Pallets or Gens is really clumsy
Questionable Hits through Windows and Pallets (even more than before)
Dead Hard bugged
And a few more things.
So the servers are not ready, but I am fine with testing, it is not terrible, at least for me.

To be fair, the devs did state that they supposedly balanced the time needed to complete the rift on the average playtime of most players (1 hour per day) which I would personally say is how much a casual player would spend playing. The thing that is concerning people is the fact that this couldn't be further from the truth, the rift currently requires you to complete all challenges AND spend about 100-120 hours in-game (this could be working towards the challenges but even so it's still pretty excessive).
It might even be 1 hour. We dont know yet, because nobody tested the Rift. Some guy made a Youtube-Video, cool. Now we believe everything what is in the internet?
I am pretty sure, if only a really small group of people will complete the Rift, it might be changed. But other than that, the Rift is not designed to spend 1000 Auric Cells 1 time and have those 1000 Auric Cells for every other Rift that will be released. DBD is quite a cheap game, and you can play it without spending any more money, if you dont want to play certain Killers, since you can get every Perk in the Shrine and Survivors are only Skins. Sure they need some form of money income. And yes, there will be people who spend some money for the next Rift, maybe not 1000 Cells, but 500 Cells. Or they spend the Cells to unlock some Tiers.
Which is fine in my opinion, because once again - you dont have to spend any money if you dont like. But if you have some income and can spend some money, I would rather buy it than sweat for it in a game.
And yeah, it might be 100 hrs instead of 70 hrs. But it is not ON TOP of the challenges. You are doing both at the same time.

Strawman. Never said anything you said.
Oh yeah, sorry. Just checked it, you simply only complained like 6 times about the same topic without bringing any arguments by yourself. Sorry that I thought that you have actually contributed something in your other topics.
-
Question is, does it really NEED to be fulfilled by everyone? It is 100% optional to spend money on the Rift Pass, you only get Cosmetics and nothing which will affect the gameplay.
You can buy the Rift Pass at anytime, so when you unlock many things on the free Track, you can decide later if you want to buy the Pass to get the Premium Rewards.
You are acting as if every Player should get the full Rift Pass (and 1000 Auric Cells back because of this) without having to put much effort in.
-
Hidden Offerings:
Killers: Shrouds (Survivor starts separated from each other(dont ever use that, it is only bad for you), Moris, Splinters (to test out licensed Killers).
Survivors: Shrouds (starts far away from the Killer; start with one Survivor; all Survivors start together)
But Shrouds are not really working tbh.

All discussions about Legion is POINTLESS. Devs only care about vanity donate costumes. Look at "archive". Maybe in 2021 they slight rework him. People can continue to discuss that, but this is truth, sadly but truth, this is how they work nowaday. Balance should be in main priority, but they "buried him into the grave" and then, after they admitted that they failed, still not care.
How many times devs answered in "Legion" topics?
Pretty good job so far. Keep do nothing and release next new "licenced paid" killer instead of balance old nerfed ones. Money is money.
Your complete post gets countered by the existence of the Reworked Freddy.
@topic:
I am for a full rework. I like the aspect of Vaulting, but thats it. But I doubt that his power can be useful without being broken or unfun. There was nothing fun about facing a Legion, that person who got chased will go down eventually (even without the exploit), while the others have to rush Gens.
So he needs to have a meaningful power which is not broken, because he ignores Pallets and Windows, but is also not a pain in the ass to go against.
-
Ah, dont worry. The Spirit can still use the very skillful way of running into you, feeling where you are with the collision. :)
Besides that, I feel that even when someone is making Noises, without Iron Will it is still not hard to hear the Survivors at all.
-
Honestly, this looks more like a dickmove than anything else. At least I would feel like that, if you would unhook me, Dead Hard so that the Killer hits me. Looks like you are trying to lose the Killer this way.
Either run BT or dont unhook anyone when the Killer is nearby. Might be funny for you, but not for the guy who just got unhooked and might die because of it.

That's what I wanted to hear. Do you feel it's a nice alternative to Ruin? I do not have that perk unlocked and to be honest, I probably wouldn't use to anyway since when I play as a survivor I always seems to find that totem quickly and I know it would happen to me as a killer.
Its better than Ruin. It is less luck-dependant, you dont need to shift your focus to a Totem and can go for Gens and Chases instead.
Personally, I am also more relaxed when using PGTW instead of Ruin. I dont need to curse the game when the Totem spawns next to a Gen, and when a Survivor found it, I dont need to constantly check if he/she is on it.

"You progress through the Rift with your devotion level"
Lol. 1 Rift Fragment for 800xp. ONE. It take 10 for a single Rift tier lol.
I am well aware. Where is your argument? I dont see any.
-
Let me get this right - for getting chased by the Killer, you get a Speed Boost when vaulting, to extend the chase even longer?
-
Some of them are harder to do, some of them are pretty easy. E.g. I got the Hook 3 people in the Basement using Agitation Daily in my first game. And I would have easily been able to do that every time, so this is basically a free win, even with more Basement Hooks. However, other Challenges are harder (like all Dead in the Basement or to survive without being hooked while using Spine Chill for example). But I guess thats fine.
You progress through the Rift with your Devotion Level, so when you play on a consistent basis, you should be fine. The Archives give you a lot of BPs and will boost your progress.
However, some Challenges are quite unhealthy, this is correct. e.g. grabbing 4 Survivors, I would either need to play Prayer Beads Spirit for that (which I highly dislike) or farm with the Survivors (making the challenge obsolete). Same with some Survivor challenges - I would rather have teammates who do Gens than Teammates who hunt down Totems for their Challenge or loot chests for their Archives.
but, lets not forget - you get all your Auric Cells back if you complete the Rift. Logical that BHVR does not give that away for free. It would not be worth that much for them if everyone just pays 10 Euros one time, and will be fine for the rest of the game. Surely they speculate on players spending more Auric Cells to complete the Rift or to spend Auric Cells, because they did not get the 1000 Cells back. BHVR is a company, afterall.
Furthermore it is meant to be some form of a challenge. But this is the problem of the modern gaming community - games are so easy that it is expected in every game. "Oh you failed? Here, have 200 Level Ups to beat this boss!"... The Challenges should not be "Cleanse one Totem, get a Quadrillion BPs and complete the rift".
And last but not least - just try the Free Track and if you are satisfied with your progress at the end, buy the Rift Pass to get all the Premium Rewards. It is as easy as that.
-
Its a Bug. I have a thread about this:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/90011/daily-ritual-replaced-automatically
-
Where is what you said? Or is this not as interesting? Can I upload salty Killer Screenshots as well?
Does Spirit really need NOED? Can I ask more questions? Can I take Lyoner instead of a question?
-
(Can be answered by anyone, just for my understanding)
Regarding the Rift - you will also gain 1 Rift Fragment for 800 XPs, correct? And those are the same XPs you get when increasing your Player Level, if I am not mistaken?
So in theory, I would be able to get the Rift (700 Fragments) with 560.000 XPs, which means I would need to have like 1 and 3/4 Levels of Devotion? Of course the Archives would lower this grind.
Just for my understanding. Thank you in advance.
-
Both.
I am not that good in chases, not the worst, but others can make more out of the Pallets. So I like to avoid Chases as much as possible, but I am not that guy that will stay immersed all the time, so if the Killer sees me, he sees me, but I will not urban evade around the Map, hoping that nobody sees me.
-
They feel better than before, but still a few things that are annoying:
Survivor:
Still some really questionable Hits
Dead Hard is bugged. It triggers, but sometimes does not give any Dash or iFrames.
Killer:
Generator Damage is quite laggy
Some things I noticed with Trapper:
When I put a Trap next to a Pallet and I want to collect this Trap, he autodestroys the Pallet. Once the Pallet is destroyed, I immediatly step into my own Trap.
Camera is turning while picking up a Trap, which makes it really confusing mid-chase.
-
I will.
I mean, I have 2500 hrs on DBD. So I can say that I like the game. If I think about the price which some games reach nowadays and how "many" hrs you can play until it is finished, the Battle Pass is a pretty good Deal for me.

There can be useful buffs for the wake up and Pharmacy though.
Pharmacy: Gives you an unique med-kit:
48 charges
Slightly increases healing speed that you heal others (15%)
Considerably decreases the healing consumption rate. (25%)
Moderately increases the speed that you heal yourself (25%)
Wake up!: When you open an exit gate: All survivors aura's are revealed to you and vice versa. You also see the killer. Reveals exit gates at any time. When you open at least 60/55/50% of the progress of the exit gate, Wake up! gives you an endurance status effect for 10 seconds. When EGC is triggered your movement speed is increased by 20% while not in chase. You open exit gates 25% faster
This would be way more than changing some numbers, those are basically Reworks.
But I like them. Not sure about Endurance tho, since it would could allow to open an Exit Gate, even when the Killer is there to interrupt it.
-
Sadly I doubt that his Perks can be changed by just changing the numbers.
Vigil should recover Exhaustion while running. The problem is, this has to be weak, otherwise there would be Sprint Bursts which are useable in chase again. And faster recovery while stationary is simply useless.
Regarding Pharmarcy, the Perk actually got nerfed, this is correct. But what to change? Give it a purple Medkit instead? This would be two heals. I mean, chests even faster is not really possible or helpful.
And for Wake Up, really no idea what to do. Exit Gates opening even faster would not be that good I guess. Maybe combine it with something like Hope, but not sure about that.
So, except for Vigil, I dont see any useful Buffs to his Perks.
Oh, and IMO, P3 Quentin looks really cool.

Personally, I only DC because of two reasons:
If someone is cheating. Had a Lagswitching Killer a few weeks ago, I DCed after he downed me, same did my SWF Friend. It was normal afterwards, so he was doing it intentionally. No reason to play a game if the other side is cheating. One time I also played Burger King Myers and got someone with a Speedhack (like if you need this vs Burger King Myers), was also about to DC, but since the Match was almost over anyway, I stayed.
Second thing is Real Life stuff. If you need to go, you need to go. Of course you should know this before joining a game, but something might come up unexpected (e.g. got a quite important phone call after loading into a match as Killer. Had to DC.).
I guess it is ok to DC when the other side is cheating or when Real Life kicks in. It is not ok to DC because you are the first one downed by the Killer or if the Survivors are doing more Gens than you are think they are supposed to do.

Prayer Beads and Collision while Phasing. Thats all, the rest of Spirit is perfectly fine.
Prayer Beads - quite logical, this Add On is pure Bullshit. It is already really strong to not see her, but not even getting an Audio Information if she is phasing is too much. I dont think that she will be any weaker without Prayer Beads, because Prayer Beads are not needed for a Spirit Player to be good.
Collision - Even IF someone is running Iron Will, it is frustrating that walking back does often enough not work as Counterplay, because she bumps randomly into the Survivor. Even without Iron Will, this would give some form of Counterplay, because the Injured Noises change direction, which might confuse the Spirit a little bit (even tho I dont think that this would help a lot to lose her without Iron Will).
-
@CrtKazz said:
SB won’t help you if you get gen grabbed but you should be paying attention to footstep sounds as well as movements of crows/grass once you know they have the add on. Once you see those queues, you know you should sprint away or start getting ready to. If you think you deserve to know every jump scare tactic in the game from the start, then you shouldn’t be playing this game.
Grass does not move when Spirit phasewalks. And sorry, but you cannot defend a broken Add-On simply by saying that DBD is a Horrorgame (because of Jump Scare Tactics). It is not.
And well...Footsteps... You know how loud a Gen can be? When I know I am against a Spirit with Prayer Beads, I will not get grabbed, but if I am the first one grabbed, there is nothing I can do about this.
-
@CrtKazz said:
Prayer beads are countered hard by awareness perks and escape perks. Spine chill, SB, iron will, Q&Q, etc. If you don’t have a lot of perks unlocked use spine chill, it is helpful in a majority of any match.
How does any of those Perks (except Spine Chill) counter Prayer Beads? I mean, I can surely run pretty fast with my Sprint Burst, when I would not be on the Killers shoulder at this point, because I got grabbed from the Gen.

Honestly though how many people really run those perks? Everyone I've seen is running a "Get everything done quickly" build.
Both are used from time to time. Not a big fan of those by myself, but since Ghostface Release at least Spine Chill got more love.
-

I just went through the patch notes, It doesn't look like that is a thing. The only thing about Myers is that he gets the undetectable status effect in tier 1.
I mean, Undetectable does not stop Spine Chill and Premonition. So changing his current Status to Undetectable will indeed make him affected by Spine Chill and Premonition.
Would also say that this should be reverted. While I feel that those Perks should not be affected by Undetectable, Tier 1 Myers should ignore them, since it is crucial for him to get out of Tier 1 ASAP.

But, you can only use it once while still being “ultra rare” is my argument
Which was the case with the "old" Syringe as well.
This Add On is still good. Not as strong and busted as before, but still good. I mean, I dont think that the purple Insta Heal was that big of a problem. It was annoying, but not that busted. The pink Insta-Heal however was pure Bullshit, you can simply heal someone on the ground, which is way to strong.
The current versions are still usable, even tho they are not as strong as before. I think 7k BP is still justified.
-
Also you can use the Syringe on yourself. You cannot use We Will Make It on yourself.
-
I think the same and would say you got it right.
In order to balance the game, Nurse needs to go. She is too strong, and Nurse being there would simply not work. And you cannot simply buff all Killers to (current) Nurse-Level. It would not even be possible to adjust their powers that way.
So yeah, I would see, see it in a bigger picture.

My only concern is with how a Killer is supposed to tell whether a Survivor used the Styptic Agent or the Syringe. Because if they used Styptic, you don't want to hit them for a small moment, but if they used Syringe, you DO want to hit them before they heal.
That is the same totally skilledbase mindgame Survivors have with Spirit.
The Killer does not know, he has to guess wether he should wait to risk that it was the pink Add-On, or if he should hit directly, which might result in giving a Speedboost.
