The devs might be more inclined to listen to our feedback if we make an honest attempt at the challenges before writing them off as ridiculous or impossible.

It takes a fair amount of time, and a lot of work for the data team, to compile those stats. Yes, it would be nice if we got more detail, but they're trying to do their best since the stats are so highly requested. You seem to be forgetting that they are under zero obligation to show us any of the data they have collected at all.

And they can't make everyone happy with their balance changes. They do their best to take feedback on board, but ultimately there's a lot more that goes into those decisions than just player opinions. I'm sorry you were disappointed, but there are always going to be things the devs do in the game that you don't agree with. It's just not realistic to expect otherwise.

Sadly you expect too much from this community.

They are really fast when it comes to complains.

Maybe the Devs should remove the Archives and the Rift, people complain that they are too "hard", that they are too "grindy"... or that they got nothing to do when they need two days to finish them all.

  • Man, I love this whiny community. The challenges are not that bad, the EGC-Challenges will be some work, but thats it.

The rest is done by playing or by putting in a little bit effort in one game.

You have 3 weeks for those. And I bet some people will have finished it after 1 week already.

  • Well, he is a M1-Killer which is loopable. Sure there is a Downside.

  • Breakout is a Perk like every Survivor Perk of the past 5 Chapters or so:

It will not be used. People will probably try it (maybe in combination with Mettle of Man, but two bad Perks that somewhat might have a synergy dont become good Perks...) but after two weeks, nobody will use it.

I mean, I have heard in a Stream where the Streamer was like "Oh, and imagine all 4 using it, with Flashlights"... This will not happen. Even 4 man SWFs will stick to BT/DS/DH/Adrenaline.

We dont have many Survivor Perks which can be considered Meta, we got even one less with the BL-Nerf. And Breakout (or any of Yuis Perks) will not become Meta.

  • Survivors:

P3-50, all Perks: Nea, Jake, Quentin, Claudette

    P3-50: Bill, Feng

P3-1: Dwight, Meg, Ace, David, Laurie, Tapp, Kate, Adam, Jeff, Jane, Ash

    P1-50: Nancy, Steve

    Killers:

For Killers I dont have them all leveled or prestiged, because I wanted to avoid certain Teachables. Some of the Teachables are from the Shrine (like Corrupt Intervention), but I did not level Killers like Wraith or Demogorgon, because their Perks are not interesting for me. On the P3-50 Killers, I have all Perks which I have currently unlocked. (At least this way I avoid getting all those useless Perks in my Bloodwebs when prestiging Killers, not the same mistake like I did with my Survivors, where I made every Perk teachable ASAP)

P3-50: Trapper, Billy, Myers, Leatherface, Spirit, Legion

    P2-50: Hag

    P1-50: Pig, Clown

    P0-50: Nurse, Ghostface

It still won’t more than likely, those fence loops are still pretty deadly.

Yeah, I am sarcastic on this one. Haddonfield is no map you want to get as Killer, even after the BL Nerf.

But apparently the Devs are thinking all is fixed with the Nerf.

  • Like others said, she does not really get to use her Power, so she is basically boring. Once you puke on everyone and everyone is broken, you become a basic M1-Killer without anything else.

She needs something that Survivors REALLY want to cleanse, but nothing that it is too annoying to be broken. Something similar like old Freddys Slowdown, you want to wake up, but you can finish a Gen, if you like (but you dont want to do that). But I guess the Devs will not go for big Slowdowns anymore, this was one of the major issues with old Freddy, and they are also removing the Slowdown Potential of Legion, so doubt that there will be Slowdown.

Something that puts Survivors into Dying State would be possible, if they dont cleanse. But this would maybe be too similar to Deep Wounds...

If they make it impactful to be broken AND nerf her Corrupt Purge (because it is insane, best telltale is that people prefer to be Onehits which make a lot of Noise), but keep it useful, she might be more fun to play.

It's not that big of a deal. Imagine if Lithe increased vaulting speed, or something like that. The reduced stagger is still there for the first time. The nerf is just going to help survivors be less cocky, and not to loop on Haddonfield for an eternity.

Yup, Haddonfield will be a balanced Map after the Nerf.

Also 99% of killers don't leave pallets. Competent ones anyway

Drop Pallet-->Vault it-->Success. No need to get a Stun in this case, you will gain distance with Lithe.

You can just accept that you are wrong, BL will be the most situational (it is already) and therefore worst Exhaustion Perk after the Nerf.

  • Patch Notes for 3.4.0 PTB:

    • Fixed an issue that caused The Hag's phantasm traps not to have collision when using the Scarred Hand add-on.

Was a Bug, should be fixed when 3.4.0 comes out.

  • @ahandfulofrain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/869051#Comment_869051

Nope. Lithe still takes that cake because you also have to risk getting hit through the window anyway. You can pull off BL in any map (though those like shelter woods are harder) but good luck using Lithe effectively in Hawkins or the Game.

You can always vault Pallets. And you can also get hit while falling (or running already because of BL...).

Dark sense one was easy, dunno why everyone hates it.

Exactly. Got it in my first game.

It would be too much anyway if you would need to complete 3 Gens on your own, meaing you have to sit 240 seconds on Gens, completely alone. And once someone just sits on it for 2 seconds, you cannot complete your challenge with this Gen... Surely this is not how it is meant to be.

  • @ahandfulofrain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/869015#Comment_869015

But what if I don't face those killers? What if I'm facing double apple plague? See, they're all situational, some just more than others. It's not gonna change anything other than the stupid loops you can do with current BL.

To be fair, he did not say that other Perks are not situational, he wrote that BL will be the most situational Exhaustion Perk. Which is 100% true.

  • You want to have Non-Obsesssion DS back? The biggest BS ever? Sure, Killer slugs the Obsession because he does not want to get hit by DS, he picks up another Survivor and gets hit after 35% Wiggle or needs to juggle again... But this time not one Survivor, but 3 of them.

Eh. Its fine where it is.

  • Eh.

Maybe if they deactivate Dedicated Servers and only bring them out when they are ready.

  • @Coriander said:

The problem with outrageous challenges is that we've been asking for lore for years, and the only way to get tiny increments is to complete these insane "do it all in the same trial, good luck!" nightmares that cause you to either hinder your team or otherwise become a disadvantage.

Three complete gens? In one trial, vs. three other gen-hungry people?

Two full heals using medkit? I have to stack top-tier kits and perks just to attempt this, and if I die I have to find another kit somehow. I haven't bothered checking all the killer goals, I can't imagine what a nightmare that's going to be.

I think having challenges is great, but some are more aggravating than they need to be, especially considering you don't have access to all challenges simultaneously. You could be working to progress multiple at a time, then when you've done say 8-10/20 challenges, you unlock the next tier.

There are still people complaining about the Dark Sense-Challenge? Where you only have to be sitting on the Gen when it is completed and dont need to do 3 complete Gens on their own? Wow.

  • Maybe I will be occupied for more than 2 days, this is nice.

  • Especially since the pink Mori is more common than the green Mori (on all of my Killers I have way more pink Moris then Green Moris...), the pink Mori should be changed.

Either by every Survivor being hooked once OR after a certain number of Hooks overall (4 Hooks maybe)... So if the Killer got 4 Hooks in total, he can start using the Mori. This would at least avoid games being lost on the Survivor Side when the Killer tunnels and moris someone basically instantly, making it a early 3v1, which should result in an ez win for the Killer.

  • @ahandfulofrain said:

And thank god for it too. But Haddonfield will still suck for killers.

Nah, Haddonfield will be a good Killer Map. Only Balanced Landing is the problem, afterwards, the Map will be killer-sided.

  • Buffs are harder to do, because you need to take care that a Killer will not end up too strong. Nerfs are easier, both Nurse and Spirit will still be good Killers. To be honest, Spirit-Nerfs cam also pretty fast, would not have expected that (and to be honest, I would not do Nerfs or Buffs to any Killer, when the PTB is full of people testing the new Killer).

Furthermore, if you buff a really weak Killer and he is still garbage, this simply looks bad. Just imagine new Freddy would be as weak as old Freddy. People would laugh about BHVR.

" To the same degree, why not spend a chapter focusing on balancing maps?"

Because it is easier to push out new content and nerf certain Perks than to look for the actual problems....

  • This Window should not exist. But dont worry, at some point Lithe will be nerfed, because there is a Window Vault which is too strong.

The Map will not get fixed.

I just noticed my Kate Denson top with the sunset is missing too?!? I wonder what happened? I haven't used her in awhile so not sure when it happened but it's definitely gone?

With 3.4.0. Event Cosmetics (and former exclusives, at least the majority of them) will be given out to all Players. The Event Cosmetics were stored at a place where it was possible that they got lost, so they are given out to every player.

This means, if you lost your Kate Cosmetic from the BBQ-Event, with Patch 3.4.0. you will have it back.

It doesnt work with tier 1 Michael, does it?

He is undetectable and has no TR, so no.

(Which is stupid, tbh that Undetectable negates BT, but well...)

  • I mean, if you want to be toxic because you are crying about someone trying to piss you off... I guess it worked for them.

  • Were you playing vs Freddy?

but yes, sometimes BT seems not to work, sometimes people still have BT, but it does not activate on a hit. But not that I heard that it happens when they get hit immediatly after Unhooking.

  • Level 3 will come out on the 27th (this Wednesday) and 3 weeks until Level 4.

But the first chart shows playdate vs kill rate..nurse was bottom 3

This was for all Ranks AND Platforms. I dont think that many red Rank Killers will play the Nurse on Console so that this shifts more to PC than the overall. And for all Ranks... Funny thing, last time the data was not representative (according to some people) because all Ranks were included. Now it is?

I mean, you can interpret statistics the way you like, at least it looks like that...

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/866930#Comment_866930

My thoughts exactly. So far I only have the Claudette and Meg faces. Claudette is the only face you really need though...Bubba becomes a stealthing god with that face on.

Claudette was by far the easiest. I think the second face I got was Dwight and then Meg. While using the P3, I also like to be a Meghead sometimes.

  • @LordGlint said:

Escape rates should be pretty much even across the board. Pick rates should be fairly easy to notice by just playing. I typically see alot of the Freebees like you said, except Jake is pretty rare there. Add in Feng and you pretty much have the popular survivors.

My Bubba can confirm that Jakes are pretty rare.

  • "I know that most people will go after the free survivors: Dwight, claudette, meg, jake, nea and david"

    Poor Bill.

  • You have to keep in mind that Red Rank players most likely play the game for a longer time and therefore also put money into it, meaning that they will have Legion.

But brown Ranks (or even yellow Ranks) might not even have access to Legion, because they are fairly new to the game and did not spend money on getting a Killer other than those which are included in the Basegame or are popular because they are from movies.

Try playing on consoles and come back to the discussion. We don't have dedicated servers and she is not the best on there instead one of the worst Killers now on consoles.

To be fair, she was bad on Console anyway, even before the Rework. The performance is not the best on Console, to say it nice.

(No offense, but I dont think that Console players run into that many really good Nurses like PC players do, especially because of the difference in performance)

  • Still the best Killer.

But I guess, with those WONDERFUL Dedicated Servers, she lacks more than she should. Disabling the Servers might help with getting a real experience, the Servers are hurting her more than the Rework.

  • Not doing it, but I understand why people are doing it. It is just a result of Lobbydodging by Killers because of Cosmetics, Items or whatever...

  • @beatddb said:

    A teacher and a priest

What should a priest do in DBD? There are no children-Survivors.

  • Blind people might be offended when they see this.

  • Should not happen. Which map? If it was the Swamp, the Hatch can spawn right in a corner, it has some strange Hatch-Locations.

  • @Science_Guy said:

Because it received an insane buff in between those nerfs, one that completely shifts the balance of certain maps all by itself? That seems like a good enough reason.

The Maps were BL is a problem will not be good for Killers, even after the change.

You dont want to play in Haddonfield, even without Balanced Landing. Grim Pantry still has insane Loops. Crotus Prenn Main Buildung still has multiple windows and 4 safe Pallets.

Neither of those Maps where the "balance of certain maps" was "shifted only because of BL" will be good for Killers after the change.

  • Haddonfield is fine now, since BL will be getting nerfed.

Enjoy your totally balanced games on Haddonfield in the future.

  • @hocrux said:

Stop complaining about every little thing, not everything in game has to cater to your own preference, it's more efficient with the new implementation

It would work the same way when only the plus signs would be there.

    Those figures really look strange.

  • For Keys, I would like to focus more on the Aura Read aspect. But the only Key with a decent durability is the Skeleton Key, the Broken and Dull Key both need Add Ons to increase the Duration.

Furthermore, I would remove the ability to open the Hatch. Maybe for the pink Key for one Survivor (and auto-close afterwards, if only 2 Survivors were left, it will not open again) or when the Killer closed it (also possible: the latter for the Dull Key, and this effect and escape of one Survivor for the pink Key). But only a maybe.

Also, rework of many Key Add Ons, mainly the ones that let you keep the Key when opening the Hatch or Dying, Keys should be gone after a Trial (except when the Survivor escaped and did not use the Key in the Trial). Also Blood Amber, because it has a powerful effect. But also other Stuff (no need for the 24 meter Aura Read for Survivors, change it to something different).

For Moris, making them work on the last Hook makes them almost pointless. Especially because they will only make you lose Emblem Points and some Moris are longer than the Duration to bring the Survivor to the Hook. Let alone that you will not benefit from Perks like BBQ (Aura Read) or PGTW when using a Mori.

The Cypress Mori should be Baseline. The last Survivor is dead anyway, so he can also be killed with a cool (more or less) animation.

Then Moris should either only work if every Survivor was hooked once, or after a certain number of Hooks (not limited to any Survivors). This would remove the potential to simply tunnel one person out of the game to make it an early 3v1 which results in an easy game for the Killer.

I feel like tru3 is the only fog whisperer that regularly talks about problems killers face.

The others say this killer isn't fun to play against then get mad when others bring up killer problems in response calling it whataboutism.

Maybe if you tried actually bringing up issues both face more often? 🤷‍♀️

"The others say this killer isn't fun to play against then get mad when others bring up killer problems in response calling it whataboutism."

I mean that is "whataboutism". Exactly this. When someone lists the problems with Spirit (which are not even addressed with the upcoming Nerf) and then someone comes with "What about SWF?"... This is whataboutism.

"I feel like tru3 is the only fog whisperer that regularly talks about problems killers face."

    Eh.

He is 100% killer-sided, he only hides that behind his "I play both sides". While this is true, when watching his streams, it is pretty clear that he does not care for both sides, you just need to listen. So yeah, clearly he talks regularly about that, because he is complaining way too much lately.

  • Just got into a lobby with Crossplay enabled (Steam).

But my game crashed shortly afterwards, dont know if it is related to the Server Issues.

  • At least I now get an Error Message. Before that, I was just loading for an eternity without any success.

  • Did not work for me, sadly.

  • I dont have any problems with the 10 Dollar/Euro-cosmetics. However, I wish that more cosmetics would release, also for cheaper prize with Color Variations.

And it would be great if the DLCs when bought via money would give another Set or even more as Cosmetics... Maybe those brown Cosmetics in the Shop as Baseline for purchased DLCs.

The "special Cosmetic" you get when buying a DLC for money is really...meh.

Crotus Prenn Asylum is nowhere near fixed, that building is easily abuseable even without BL.

I know. But apparently it is brought up all the time when people talk about Balanced Landing. So BL is the problem I guess.

(Of course its the Map, nerfing BL will make none of the Bullshit Maps better for Killer)
