I cannot get enough of these survivors getting wrecked and calling the person who wrecked them trash or a noob! If you get killed by a noob doesn't that make you even more of one, if you get killed by trash aren't you even bigger trash?! The logic is mindblowing!
Also the vibes you put out into the world work their way back to you. In about 15 years there is going to be an explosion of cancer case and all the victims will be these salty, online, toxic POS players.
-
Ok this one is for the survivor mains out there. How can you possible trash talk at a camper who gets a 4k? Isn't a 4k by a camper, especially in this case study, 10000% your fault? Like maybe learn your lesson and stop running into the killers space until everyone is dead?
-
I'm soooo about this thread. Camp away, you are my hero.

@AgentTalon I have not said i wonna nerf her more lol. I just think the addon is broken and need to do something else thats good like a pink addon but its just broken right now.Why is it broken? Billy and Myers have a built-in 1 hit down. Huntress requires an item, accuracy, and without a specific second addons lots of time at lockers.
-
Lol you want to nerf the Huntress even more so now hard to come by add-ons are useless?

Reviving this dead thread to ask for help; excluding spirit who is now pretty much my main on the rare occasion i play killer, I hadn't played as killer for months. does anyone else still think huntress is suicide to play as? I've just ended up D/Cing from a game because her hatchets never hit, aiming is the most infuriating thing for me, shes slow as fck, i get looped like crazy, and to top it all off im getting bullied to ######### and im literally crying as a result like idek care to admit it at this point I. Am. In. Tears. And the funny thing about all this is that i have the fondest memories of her being the only killer i ever used and usually succeeding with her. Something feels so off and im reaaaaally hating haha. My main question here is, how the fck do i take back this killer, be good at her again. Cause im stumped and quite frankly i dont wanna be bullied again by the toxic survivors cause im really sensitive and it kinda hurts like being crushed by a tone of bricks :-(Huntress is still an effective killer against "average pleb" survivors, The only problems occur when the survivors know how to loop a huntress because then you are really a 110% killer trying to run out the loops.
Sure it doesnt happen always, even at high ranks because rank system = lul, but that fact killed huntress pretty much for me in high ranks.
Now that I derank to stay away from the red ranks (red = warning, dont enter), I play her from time to time againCrouching really is the huntresses biggest weakness lol. I would love a lob shot, the ability to toss a hatchet up and over the loop. It would take some coordination and skill but how fun to be running the loop, toss one into the air and then push the survivor into the drop zone?!
-
Huntress is my main and I'm still dropping 3k or 4k on almost all my games on PS4. Can't comment on PC which I know has some serious differences with the K+M controls but on console, she is still very viable. Assuming you can land hatchets with consistency.
Plus it's really fun to watch a survivor group freak out when they realize you have iridescent heads and an extended belt. Please, come over to unhook that survivor I'm sure you won't be slugging around after this long bomb sneaky hatchet mwhahahahahah

As long as SWF is in the game I say killers.
I know this won't happen but they should remove the option to SWF or put it into its own playlist. And if the game dies...

-
Played 3 rounds yesterday and 2 of them were 4 stacks SWF and 1 was a 3 stack. I'm just going to hardcore lobby dodge from now on I guess.
-
As Killer, I really do hate the swamp, like most of you.
-
Just wanted to comment that nothing is more satisfying than hitting the unhooked survivors with a hatchet and then chasing down the survivor who made the unsafe unhook. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
As for actual contribution to this discussion, I got nothing :-)

noIf that will ever be the case and you gain BT for yourself (like invulnerability while unhooking isnt enough already lul), then I will do my best to make you suffer the rest of the game for it

^ shows you go straight for a wounded dehooked survivor. The reason why I suggest this is that killers all got a 4 second increase against wounded survivors to nerf self care (they should've just nerfed self care
) this is making perks like We're Gonna Make It, mandatory for altruistic play styles and no survivor is going to grab WGM and BT at the same time when they needs some perks for themselves. I suggest this to give solo survivors some breathing room, they still have to be saved by a team mate which would balance the perk out.I would be stupid to go for the healthy guy if some trolls inhook right in front of me.
Dont blame the killer for your mistakes, And these 4 seconds are laughable, you know that very well100% this, the issue OP is talking about is not a killer issue at all. It's a bad survivor issue. If you get hit right after being unhooked it was a really poor unhook decision. If you want to prevent that you really need some kind of system to allow survivors to decline an unhook to prevent troll/farming survivors from forcing you off the hook in bad scenarios.
-
Hell on PS4 I would take 45FPS and love it
-
This is my first event in DbD and the forums just went nuts. Every angle for complaint was seen from killers to survivors, legit issues to made up ones. It's was pretty nuts.

Fair enough still 3k isn't bad at all. You have to be making decent BP at the very least.

The only thing that ruins the fun for me are killers that are so desperate for kills they got full sweaty tryhard pants mode on survivors that are obviously not going to escape. I'm talking about killers that will slug the third guy until they bleed out, with only 2 gens done, so they can 4k when they are still definitely going to 2 pip. Like, does it hurt your ego THAT MUCH to let 1 guy escape? I give hatch away often and still double pip. Sure I'll slug the third guy for a bit to find the last guy, but if it's been a minute and no sign of him coming to save I'll just take the kill, let him hatch, and move on. Too many killers want to drag out the game because they have such low self esteem they can never let anyone escape, even if it means sitting at the hatch for an hour. It's not fun when a killer wastes time like that. The worst are 3 gen Doc's, they will hold the game for 30 minutes at 3 gens rather than commit to a chase and let the game come to an end so we can all get our pips (yes all of us, killer included kills or not at this point doesn't matter), BP, and just move on.And before anyone says "well just let the killer kill you"... No. If it's a 2 gen hatch game, the killer already pipped and thus already WON the game. If I die I likely won't pip, if I escape I do. Killer is dragging out the game for almost no reason whereas I'm trying to secure a win the only way I realistically can. Trust me if it's a game where I know I pipped regardless I do sometimes let the killer just kill me, but that is rarely the case in such games.
I'm always amazed by players who blame the killer for trying to kill everyone. Did I miss the memo where this game is about friendship? I agree that hatch standoffs are a waste of time but saying that low self-esteem is what causes people to play the game correctly is insane.
You seem to think that the objective of this game is to get everyone in the round to gain pips but you are wrong. As a killer, the objective is to KILL YOU, the end.

if they are teabagging and pointing away and flash lighting instead of doing the other generators then [BAD WORD] no i wont give them a win especially if theyre hatch camping instead of rescuing.
If there is still someone to rescue that's not a hatch standoff so that's a separate topic. What you're saying is that you don't want toxic survivors to escape on principal. I don't think a game should be modified to meet player principals TBH.
i guess its just annoying when it happens because i swear you can hear the smug look on their face when they saunter up and start teabagging
It is annoying but it's likely you made more BP than anyone at that point and that's the real win. A 3k is a win for the killer. I do agree there is some way to make the hatch more fun but I'm not sure what that is.

@friendlykillermain why do you think there's a problem with the hatch? I'm quite killer biased too, but I see no problem with it at all. You said it's "semi broken", but gave no explanation. Please elaborate. As for SWF, I agree. It should not be possible to play SWF in ranked games. There should be a casual mode, unranked, where you can (as has been suggested by many).
just the fact that the killer has no tools in a standoff thats it would like it if survivor was exposed near the hath might make it better
But the survivor doesn't really have a tool at the hatch either unless I'm missing something.

During this event, nectar is my #1 objective. The regular game will be there after November 2nd but I have limited time to play so at the moment I'm a nectar hound. However, I won't let anyone rot on a hook for it, I'll try to safe unhook and return to my sweet, sweet nectar harvest.
My biggest non-event gripe has got to be survivors who just rush to unhook in unsafe scenarios.

Trip Wire:
Your ability to reuse items found in the field allows you to create a hidden trip wire from leftover generator parts. After repairing a generator procure a single use tripwire (1 per round)
- Level 1: Full generator repair required
- Level 2: 3/4 Generator repair required
- Level 3: 1/2 Generator repair required
Tripwire can be placed anywhere on the map, ground level only, and is 2 meters wide
- Tripwire is visible to other survivors but can be trigger by both the killer and survivors
- Tripwire stuns the victim for a total of 3 seconds

DBD Facts:SWF is not balanced for this game. I would like to hear a developer explain that it is.
The rest of the mechanics/perks/add-ons simply come down to competitive play.
I don't play survivor often but when I do, I don't see nearly as much name calling , death threatening and cursing coming from the killer side.
It always comes from survivors that got killed (or a swf of one that got killed)....be it one or four k.
If there is a 4k, I can count on name calling and post chat harassment and I would bet none of those folks would dare say those things to my (or anyone's) face irl
The killers are just as bad as the survivors. Every game I'm getting tunneled and I'm legit stuck at rank 11 because I can't have a fair game. I survive sometimes but it still pisses me off. Killers are just as toxic as survivors when they get outplayed and you're obviously a killer main acting like you play survivor. As killer, if I get outplayed a few times I'm not going to facecamp and tunnel them. Face is the killers are just as toxic as survivors to solo survivors more often than the SWF groups. That's why I like truetalent, he ain't toxic at all and he's a respectable killer. I wish killers and survivors acted more like him but there's people like Ochido who are just making people worse. Then there's players like you on both sides who constantly lie about playing both sides and say that there's no toxic survivors. Learn to loop effectively and you'll see what killers can be like. Some killers are nice though I'll admit I've faced a few Bubbas of all killers who get demolished by me but wont bother camping me because they want survivors to have good experiences and more fun. So go actually learn survivor and you'll see. I learnt killer (nurse and hag the two strongest) and now I've started to understand what the killers faced. Now without the double SB and the Pallet teleporting glitch thing, and heck even that cursed window change I can see no nerfs needed to survivors even the healing nerfs were enough. We just need the killers who aren't Nurse, Hag, Spirit or Billy to get buffed to a good level.
Sorry about the long paragraph, to sum it up, both sides are toxic. ^^
To balance SWF, I'd let the killers see if people are in a SWF so they can prepare thats just it.
Wouldn't that just make lobby dodging even worse? Not saying it's a bad idea but I can see that being a result.
-
I'm only lvl 17 with the Spirit and haven't run into this add-on yet. I assume you just phase to a gen where you hear the repair and look for the snatch?

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde comes to mind. Victoria age, used a serum to become the monster and would have a really cool system, similar to the Dr in a way. Swap between the man and monster for all kinds of minds games. This is actually one of the best guesses I've seen. Fits the theme of what's been going on perfectly.
I also think it might be a DbD variant of Jack the Ripper.
Agreed, my money is on something victorian with Dr/Mr the front-runner due to serum and Ripper a close second. You could easily say his killings were fueled by madness created by the serum.

After a solid weekend of grinding survivor and thinking about this, I would have to say Wraith. I know I just got unlucky but I had 4 rounds with Wraiths rocking no bell add-ons and it was basically just surprise, run, suprise run.
I don't know what it is but I just don't enjoy playing against the Wraith at all.

Rank in this game has nothing to do with skill and never has, it has always been about how long you have played each month.Only rank 6 right now, 2nd season of play, but I seem to just keep moving up even though I'm not the best killer out there. I would have to actively try not to rank up right now, maybe once I hit the red ranks this will stop but so far I get a pip every single round. If I had no idea how rank worked I would say it's simply based off rounds played and nothing more.
-
Just take comfort in knowing that 4th survivor made like 5k in points that round. When I first started playing I had no idea how BP worked and assumed surviving was like 50k in points so more than once I hid all round and hatched it lol.
Sooo many wasted rounds in my first few hours of survivor play. Also I'm on PS4 and spent my first 10 hours as the nurse which almost made me quit the game outright.
-
Played a decent amount of rounds this weekend and realized that I do sometimes use a short camp strategy. I've been letting all my hooks get to the entity phase before backing off, let's me keep everyone at a 2 hook pretty easily. I've moved into rank 6 and surprisingly it still works, seems like everyone is very altruistic at the moment.
I should mention I've been landing quite a few hatchets on those survivors who t-bag and wave over to try and get me off the hook, they seem to forget I can throw things at them. So I get a hook and 1 injured survivor.
-
Ahhh I like the idea to think of it more when you don't hear it! That makes so much sense!
-
Play quite a bit of Huntress myself but I cannot seem to make sense of how to really get good impact out of Whispers. It's just a noise when a survivor is within a distance of you, I assume you just search while you hear it or am I missing something?

How many of us would opt into a "no SWF" playlist? I'm seriously asking because I would actually prefer to play against a smaller group of even a few hundred in total than see another SWF group who uses voice chat.
Obviously, because why play the "harder" mode, lol.
Still, pretending SWF teams are impossible to beat seems to be the consensus and it simply isn't true.
Most SWF groups aren't as bad as most generally assume. I've had several games where if I hadn't checked profiles a SWF duo would've gone unnoticed by me. It's just the handful of nightmares like the De-pip squad and the few others that use comms like a SWAT team that warrant concern.
Sure, a lot of SWF are compltely potatoes because they boosted each other to a rank where they dont belong.
But even if I 4k a toxic SWF, I simply dont have fun in those games and will do my best to avoid them now.
And against the "SWAT" SWF, well sometimes I go afk and start a deranking series if sth like this happens^^
The game isnt built around optimal play which is quite sad if you ask meThe game isn't built around bad killers that need their hand held at every opportunity to be honest. You'll rarely get a "SWAT" swf team and even if you do you're getting angry at an intended mechanic because you're having a hard time dealing with it.
Just curious but why so protective of SWF. If there isn't any real advantage to it shouldn't any changes be minimal to those groups?
-
I'm sure we'll get a BR mode if it would make enough money. Just survivors beating each other to deal with flashlights and toolboxes.
-
@Keene_Kills said:
Exactly my point, they had to have taken it into account... in a game where one of the main points is the characters being unable to vocally communicate. So it's obvious that they didn't care.SWF itself never was an issue, it's the unregulated ability to voice comm which -- inarguably -- puts the killer at a severe disadvantage and renders a large majority of perks worthless on the killer side and unnecessary on the survivor side that's so sickening. Well, that and groups being able to bring ranks far above/below the killer's current rank, too, neutering the entire ranking system, as well, but that's for a whole 'nother post.
This is an item that the devs could fix. Restrict the levels above and below that can be in a group. When I first started playing I would see groups of level 14, 12, 3, 3 and got wrecked and it sucked.

Just had a thought to cheer everyone up. SWF is still not nearly as bad as Nuke boosters back in COD.

But I dont care anymore, if they will never balance voice comms, thats fine and I will live with it, you can always derank or lobbydodge and avoid most of itThey've honestly done nothing but buff killers recently I have no idea what killer mains have to complain about, you make it like you've never beaten an SWF squad before.
I think it's the same reason survivors complain about camping, it makes the game less fun to play.

If you get voice chat, which is essentially telepathy between the survivors, the killer should get to hear anything said between players if they are more than say 6 meters apart. Because that would mean the survivors are shouting to hear each other.
That’s impossible to implement. And 6m is tiny
You could never actually do it because of 3rd party chat. I'm simply showing how comms from an in-game perspective is essentially telepathy between survivors. We all just need to accept that SWF and gaming with friends, in general, will always be a massive advantage over any solo player. Could be DBD, Battlefield or anything.

SWF and DS are what makes it OP. You’ll find you wipe solo players every match (which would mean killer is OP, but SWF trumps that. Thus balance can never be done. Any killer nerf or survivor buff will make SWF even more insane, and any killer buff or survivor nerf will screw solo players even harder. Balance is literally impossible)It's unfortunate that SWF is required to keep the game alive but is at the same time the thing that kills the balance.

That's the whole point of the perk so it is tunneling but for good reason. But DL is quite a boring perk for both killer and survivor tbh because it's either very useful or very useless. When it's useful, you kill the obsession at 3-5 gens, the last 3 survivors are already one man down and on top of that a permanent -25% to all action speed which makes the game a piece of cake. It can also be useless when you can't kill the obsession quick enough and it just sits there taking up a perk slot for no reason.Without a full list of all the teachable perks, it still seems like the best Myers obsession perks IMO. Is there a strategy or playstyle that makes the others more viable?
